Yvan should have won by a landslide. Justin is too weird to watch. Creative name though.

  • Dena - 12 years ago

I won't waste my time on Justin's show. He is strange and weird but not in a good way. A guy in lip stick who makes head cheese looking food??? Nope. Maybe the food network will get smart and find someone who isn't trying to cook stupid stuff. Huge mistake!!!

Yvan was the best...nis enthutiasum ,timpathy .... no Justin ...im not agree of the decsition...

I am from Maui, currently living in Tampa Florida. I am a huge Food Network fan. I don't watch much TV, and if you come to my house you will more then likely find my TV on the Food Network channel. I love to cook and especially like to try the new ideas that I learn form the array of shows available.
There its nothing I would like more then to see a Food Network show that would spotlight the foods from Hawaii!!
Ippy..... Our Island boy.... We love you! How could we NOT love you. However, I have to be honest.. I don't think you are ready yet. BUT.....I hope you don't give up. You are young, which really, is your only obstacle. I predict this is the beginning of your rise!! The next... Sam Choy?? I know we haven't seen the last of you yet!
Marty... I voted for you in the "most improved" poll. Your personality makes us want to know and hang out with you! Yes you are awesome in your own way, however you could be the next, or another "Paula Dean" or "Martha Stewart"
    However......
Yvan..... My vote has to go to you as the winner. I was drawn to you from the get go. And the episode where you made your first break thru and told us about you and your brother going out and "gathering" something for dinner just reinforced my hope for you. I think your pilot, having your family there was a totally awesome idea. It created the most warm feeling and made me want to watch you more. Many of us who love to cook, love to cook for our family. And everyone knows that a family that stops everything and has dinner together, is a sign of love and closeness. I don't care what anyone says, I believee in my heart .... This is something everyone wants... Dinner with the family around the table! I'm voting for you to win!!

I really go along with the Statement the show this year isn't the same at all and was not up to par as the previous shows. Been watching this for the past 5 years. The Judges seemed not to have true personality showing and being bored also. This year it lacked so much and can't put my finger on it. Hope next year is like the old ones if not shall not watch it any more. Master Chef i really enjoy so i shall be watching it next year. Has anyone watched this show they have a blind person on it and she is still in the show and cooking against others. What a show.

we need show about family style cooking from scratch easy meals .most of our children eat industrial foods and many dieing from cancer . somebody need to teach young mothers ,teens
to cook simple foods that will be healthy and ymmi. ALL starts in family ,create family bonds,
how many mothers 'treat' their children in McDonalds and then when child get sick they wake up and don't know where and how start healthy eating and turn taste their children
i think, self made cook with God GIFT IS A YVAN, VOTING FOR YOU,GOOD LUCK!
really , i am not entertaining every day or cook gormet food everyday but i would like fresh
show on daily cooking ,ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS PRESENTED BY YOUNG FELLOW!

Justin has been confident with his POV and his talent -he does what he loves, and so imaginative. He has honed in on his craft and is ready to go. I will watch his show! :)

  • Julia Wood-Emery - 12 years ago

Please, please not Martie. Nothing personal, but I honestly don't think I would watch her show. I really am not into Jeff Mauros show. Absolutely love Aartie from season past, but Martie, yes she's improved but that doesn't "a star make"!!!

  • Alex - 12 years ago

I wish they had kept Ippy, but I like Yvan too. I think Martie is funny (and not annoying). I really am interested in Justin's POV, but I don't know if I would be actually able to make his food at home. I think Michele is a great cook, but how far can you really take "New England". I wish they would have kept Linkie!

  • Margie Wilson - 12 years ago

I appreciate that the judges/network permitted both Martie and Justin to create pilots, even though previously they were only going to choose three finalists. Personally, I like Martie the best of all the contestants. She has grown so much! Her sincerity and friendliness are genuine. Many women can relate to her desire to provide great food for our party guests. Justin is creative, but I don't think I would want to eat his food to be honest. His show would be entertaining due to the novelty of his persona. Michelle has a unique POV; she makes me want to try the cuisine of New England. I wonder if her "style" would turn off viewers...

I really love Martie. I love her stories, her food, her accent and her honest way about her. She could be a good friend of mine. I would love to watch her show and learn all of her tips and tricks in entertaining.

  • Judy - 12 years ago

I could not believe that the Network let Martita go and kept Nikki!!!!!! She was horrible!!!! I think they just wanted each team to have an equal number of people left. Shame on you FOOD NETWORK!!!!!!!!

  • Michelle - 12 years ago

I really am rooting for Justin he is different & very much like a FB Dude interesting & informative loved that Caesars Salad Idea Martie is funny but I think she could get boring Ivan no as it's jar dull & who cares about his family it's cooking for goodness sake Michelle is to scary & it will get boring Justin is the 1

  • Judy - 12 years ago

Ippy would have brought something different to the Food Network. He was the one I was rooting for. I cannot believe they let him go. Marty to boring. Justin is only one left with an interest point of view. Others are so same old same old--who would want to watch.

  • Cori - 12 years ago

NEVER should have let Ippy go! Even with his laid back style He was the best of THAT bunch!!!!!

  • diane - 12 years ago

It's a shame they felt the need to select one contestant from each team--I think this was more to protect the "stars" so that none of them ended up with no finalists. My thinking was they should have had Marti, Justin and Michele and both Giada's contestants should have gone home.

  • Jenn - 12 years ago

My favorites are Nikki and Ippy. I love Nikki cause I like to grill and I can relate to her. I like Ippy because I like to dabble in different kinds of foods and could learn a lot from him. I'm like others though and find Marti annoying and agree she should have been gone by now.

  • Grandma Mary - 12 years ago

If I want a show I can relate to, I'd pick Martie, if I am wanting to be entertained
I would pick Justin. Tonights show will be the final chance to decide who one thinks
has the potenial to be a network Star...I love having having the chance to have a say in the out come of this years contestants!

  • Louisa - 12 years ago

Ippy is the ONLY one....he's "improved" and is the best cook left standing....Yvan is a sweetheart and we like Michelle....but IPPY is THE ONE!!!

  • Rosanne - 12 years ago

I do not like Martie. She is a fast talker and her stories are too long. I wouldn't watch her and don't know why she is still there.

  • Linda Carlile - 12 years ago

I agree with one of the other commentors. This season has been boring and I wouldn't be interested in watching any of them, but that said, I'm sick of looking at the ones that are on now. Enough already with Giada,Paula and Rachel. Geez, where is the creativity of the Food Network. I've had enough of all of their families. Most of them are not even chefs, but somehow now they have their own shows. YUCK,I really don't care about that, I watch the food network to learn to prepare food. I've switched to the PBS Country Cooking etc. Much more informative and we don't have to get involved with all of their personal life.

  • David - 12 years ago

I love Martie. She's unpretentious and absolutely adorable.

  • Mike - 12 years ago

    Martie

  • Quorra - 12 years ago

I honestly can not see what the big deal is with Martie. I thought she should have gone home a few times through the series. Also the network already has the pioneer woman and I do not see Martie as much different and I already do nto watch that show. Justin reminds me of a young Alton Brown and I think the network could use more of that. I am honesty rooting for Ippy because I would like to lean more about Hawaiian cooking and that is an area that has not been explored to my knowledge.

  • Debbie Hasbrouck - 12 years ago

Martie, has done so much improvement on herself, she seems to have all together. She proved herself last week when she did not crack under pressure. She was really the only one who rolled with it and did not let it get the best of her.

  • Patricia Thomas - 12 years ago

I love Martie!! I think she has come a long way. I would watch her show. She is so down home and seem to be very relaxed now. I don't like LIPGROSS....I don't like RINGS AND TATOOS on women. No I'm not sorry for feeling the way I do. I LOVE Giada and her show.
    Love Jade too.

  • Pam - 12 years ago

I don't think any of the contestants are really "exceptional'. i see lack of enthusiasm is all of them. I won't watch any of these contestants shows if they manage to create one. They may have some talent in the kitchen, but a lot of people have that. This show is not the same since it was changed. I like the old show better and i hope they do something different in the future or I won't watch that either. This season has been just "boring".

  • Chris - 12 years ago

I would!! I think she is very homey and down-to-earth.

  • Jenni - 12 years ago

I know some won't want to hear this, but I can't stand Martie. I liked her in the beginning, but her voice has gotten on my nerves and I lack confidence in her. If she wins, I won't watch her show.
