Did America get it right?

Did anyone notice that Randy Jackson was wearing Captain Kangaroo's jacket , because, personally I wasn't waiting for the vote I was waiting for Mr. Rabbit and that stupid moose to pop up and drop ping pong balls on his head.

my opinion: David A., to be 17 years old, endure the pressure from this competition and all, with his singing voice and keeping it all together, should have definitely won! I am in my thirties and would of liked to have seen David A. to represent American Idol, to be a role model for young kids. I've been a fan of American Idol since the second season, when my boys and I began watching it, but ever since last season, when "America" began voting for the worst due to the internet, I guess, it got fustrating and ridiculos. I swore I wouldn't watch it this year, but I gave it another chance. I truly believe that either the show's fixed, in hopes of getting ratings, based on the shocked factor or we live in a world where people don't have a clue to goodness and the most talented performers. I watched Simon on late night TV two nights prior and was shocked to hear him actually give his opinion on who he wished to win. David Cook, he said. Now tell me --- how hard and intimided do you think it was for David A. to sing. Without a doubt, I believe that Simon, which couldn't deny David A.'s great performance last night, only announced that Archiletta was the best, hoping that Americans who like david cook would send in more votes to save him. FIxed?? YEAH! And Ryan Seacrest, who I adored the first few seasons, has developed a big head and made it obvious in his mannerisms that he liked David Cook best. I'm not one to write in, but I'm truly disgusted with the so-called results! I had to.

David Cook SO deserved to win!! He's got the whole package!! I'd been rooting for him since auditions, and knew he would go far. He proved what a talented and dedicated performer he is; I will be a fan of his for life!!!!

Congratulations David Cook... You have done a very very good job.. I hope that you keep going as far as you can.. I can't wait for your CD.. David Archuleta should be proud of himself for coming in second. He will make it out there too.. I will be looking for a CD from him too. Keep up the good work you both.. As for Robin's comment with what Simon said on late night tv, about David Cook to be the next American Idol , he has said that form the beginning that if this was a talent contest and not a popularity contest that David Cook could win..

I thought David Archuleta was a great performer. for a young kid he carried himself well. he should have won and deserved it. David Cook was great too and I found he showed alot of respect for the younger David and cook earned my respect

Absolutely!! America got it right! And kudos to the producers/agents in finding Mr. David Cook. I loved his audition and chose him as my pick for the win during the top 24 when he sang, "Happy Together". Look how well he's doing on the charts already. Every week he was stellar with his performances. And geez, not only is he really good looking, he just has an adorable, intelligent and humble personality. I wish him the best in his career/life and am so looking forward to his CD.
