It's a major factor for Obama. If he wasn't black it's very unlikely that he would be getting 92% of the black vote as he currently is.

Yes it is a factor, the trailer park racists are going to shoot themselves in the foot financially because they refuse to admit a black man might be better for this country than a old white woman who has a history of boldface lies

May 13, 2008 10:19pm ET

Race is definitely a factor because of the comments made by both Democratic hopefuls. i.e. hard working people , white people; my white grandmother; for the first time in my adult life; etc.

It is fairly obvious who is voting for him (Obama). I don't think he has a ghost of a chance in the general eletion. Rev. Wright is only the tip of the iceberg with his sordid collection of buddies that he has.

Of course race is a factor in the Democratic contest. 90 plus % of blacks vote for Obama while 60 plus % of whites vote for Clinton. I think this shows that blacks are more racist than whites, at least during these primaries.

Hillary wins states with primaries with thousands of voters; Obama wins caucuses, with few in attendance in comparison. With out the so called red staes and majority of racial support, Obama would no tbe in this race, John Edwards would be.

Blacks and/or African Americans are more racist than white American. Believe me I know I live around it.

The question is unclear and i don't believe any hypothesises can accurately be drawn from the results. For instance, will you be assuming a yes response means whites won't vote for a black candidate. or will you be assuming that blacks are overwhelingly voting for obama because he is nlack. Etc. Etc. It seems to me that no specific "conclusions" can be drawn from this survey.

Interesting that it took almost 2900 votes before the first comment got posted... THAT also tells a lot! Michelle Obama, Jeremiah Wright, & even OPRAH have injected race into the contest long before Bill Clinton's awkward remarks in SC which were more likely frustrated stupidity and not a racial card. And poor Geraldine Ferraro... tarred as a racist by the black community... a shabby way to thank her for all her advocacy for black issues over the years! The most sensitive and obvious people are the most blatantly racist these days in the USA! We are back to the 50s and maybe the 40s when he is the nominee & more of Obama's background, associations, and beliefs are brought to light!

I don't care about race but it seems we're forgetting that Obama is half white! Strange nobody ever mentions this. I am a registered Democrat but I will vote for John McCain should Obama be our nominee. He is not experienced enough and besides I think his wife is a racist.

Race is a major factor, just as religion is with many, gender is with many, and there's nothing wrong with that. People will feel the way they feel no matter how the media wants to spin it.

Anyone thinking race isn't a major factor is in denial, especially after the NC primaries. 92% of blacks voting for Obama is not support, it's called racism.

There is really no way around the fact that 92% of Obamas' vote is black. People hate to say it but, race is going to be a big factor in the November election.

I am a latina who feels that as a latina I am first an American and my ethnic group is great but has nothing to do with me when choosing a nominee for president -i look for the best qualified one -not by race, ethniticity or genda. Unfortunately in the dem primary, the black people do not think like I do-they are choosing a candidate by race -theirs. I hope the back superdelegates do not act this way when they choose who to support -otherwize in the future everyone will be doing this -so will I -a hispanic president -after all -there are more hispanics than blacks in the USA -an eye for an eye -how sad for America

Of course race is a major factor. It is an enormous shame that the people who hate America the most are endorsing Obama. And, that his faux pas about ".....visiting 57 states in the past 15 months" and "still having one more to go.....Alaska and Hawaii" is sheer evidence that he is ignorant and wouldn't even be considered if he weren't a black man getting 90% of the black voters to vote for him in spite of his "shooting himself in the foot" consistently and continuously.

Obama, his wife, his pastor, his friends has and will turn this to a race issue but more of a communism issue. This candidate is a disgrace to the entire country. I only wish that his pastor and his friends and his wife would have been brought out as early as 30 days ago by more news outlets to the voters from other states unfortunately already cast their votes and/or did not get out and vote. Thank goodness for Fox News that is just reporting the facts to the good people of our country. Tell us more about this inexperience and not so honest candidate!!

Race is a great factor, because the media cannot be truthful when evaluating the election results for fear of being "Politically Correct". The candidates have the same problem. If they say the wrong thing it will be considered "Racial”.

Race wasn't an issue until the curtain was pulled back on Obama, his Reverand, the comments of his wife, pictures with Farrikan, etc, etc. Race has become an issue becaue of the Obama crowd brand of underground racism. Who can forget the Reverand's statements, and the absolutely worst yet vision, the black congregation in the background cheering on his racist hate toward whites and his country. This empty suite with a smooth talk is NOT what this country can vote for nor needs.

Race has become a factor because of the underlying comments Obama has made all along. He cleverly makes statements, takes up defensive positions, takes offense to comments and so on. He is definitely using race in a subliminal way and I think a lot of people have detected it and are offended. Additionally, I truly feel that Obama, and his wife, to some degree, subscribes to Wright's theology which is very dangerous. They have to many questionable associations and have made to many comments over the long term to make me believe otherwise.

Race has become a major topic of discussion yet if any mention of "white voters" then it is considered a racial remark...even President Clinton stating the facts about the racial demographic in South Carolina was misinterpreted...this situation is starting to slow boil and I believe that it will begin to boil over by September. We cannot pretend to have equality and then have color-coded words on one side and candy-coated words on the other hoping to bring unity. We should be able to speak suscinctly and clearly without creating a pig-wollowing for media guru's. I love Hillary Clinton...and feel I don't know B Obama...and don't care much for what I see. It's a shame that she didn't get greater momentum early in the Primary Season. She could make a great President and I am a Republican!

Jan
May 13, 2008 10:24pm ET

I think if John Edwards had not run so long, Hillary would have had more votes because Obama is black. So race is a factor. Every state should have the same 3 candidates run, not drop out 1 by 1.

Carol Thomas
May 13, 2008 10:24pm ET

Obama himself made race an issue. And THEN he lost his credibility through his early support for Rev. Wright. He has no one to blame but himself for blundering his election. If he's the Democratic candidate, I will vote Republican.

Chris

I have a professor (African American), I asked who he would vote for and he said Obama, then I asked him why... he said because it's a historical moment ... an African American Man... being elected ... I pointed out he hasn't done anything really to prove he's able to do it... and he just returned to his original argument and got irritated ...

Marion Hampton

I think that Hillary being a woman is more of a hinderence than Obama being half black and he's a man. It's still a man's world....there are a few companies like Fox where they're fair and balanced with their employees but most companies still have the glass ceiling where woman still walk 4 paces behind the man. Love your show each night. Keep up the good stories and interviews.

Mary Brundage
May 13, 2008 10:25pm ET

Not much till after Rev. Wright...I think we'll see now. Indiana should have been a cake walk. If not for the black support now since the latter half he wouldn't be doing so well. Independents have been declaring their sorrow at voting for him before Wright came on the scene...not enough elections since to show he has lost support. He's lucky the college kids like him...a lot of us don't. The media support has made me not like him. I don't get a chill up my leg I get a gag in my throat. I'll be curious to see the rest of the unsavory folk that have helped him come so far. What a wake up call for some of those bedazzled by his charm.

If Obama's relationship with Rev. Wright and William Ayers were made public before the Iowa primaries, not to mention Michelle's attitude, Obama would have out of the race a long time ago. Obama made it a race issue when he joined Wright's church for the black votes. Why else would he stay in that church, all those years, if he didn't agree with the teachings of Rev. Wright? gjac

It was not a factor until obama's camp decided to trot him up before the American crowd and lecture the rest of us on race, when up to that point, nothing was said or implied. The media labeled it as a "most wonderful speech", when all I got out of it was a person giving his bio and how blacks are terribly misunderstood. obama went on, later, to say his granny was a "typical white" and blue collars "cling to their religion and guns...". Let me get this straight, HE is not racist, but the rest of us (pink, light to darker beige, brown, yellow, red, white) ARE racist and we better not say ANYTHING that even remotely sounds "off base" or we're racist. The sanctimonous ones that agree with him, though, are never such and have superior judgement. So, I guess now it appears it IS about race!

Race is absolutely the defining issue in this race. Because White America is so afraid of being labeled as rascist (due to the double standard of white vs. black in regards to racial comments), there is absolutely no discussion about why Senator Obama is at times (South Carolina) getting in excess of 90% of the black vote! When Senator Clinton mentions hard working White Americans, it is immediately discussed in the media whether or not this was a racist statement. Where is the honest and open discussion of the huge benefit of black voters to Senator Obama? Race is the 800 lb gorilla in the room which absolutely nobody will discuss.

This is most definately based on race more so on the American Africans than in any other because of raw numbers showing all contests conclusive with well over 80% for Obama when comparing American Hispanics as well as all other Americans. In my 40 years of life I have never seen such a RACE BASE overwhelmingly voting for Obama because he is African American while other races there is no race based preference. You just don't vote for a black man because you yourself are black. Having voted for McCain I am so relieved that we are set.

i think it is kind of ironic that black america has done nothing short of cry over the years that they haven't been given a fair shake; and that may be so, however, who really is more racist? white america is voting for obama at roughly 55%, that's nearly half - or just shy of that mark. while black america is overwhelmingly 92% voting for obama... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. the other thing is... i have a problem with the media saying that white america, whom is not college educated, isn't voting for obama. well, I AM COLLEGE EDUCATED; and obama scares the hell out of me politically... not because he's black.

Race will be a factor in this election. Not because of a black man running but because of all his baggqge he brings with him. His wife's comments, his comments, and the Rev. Wright"s comments, and aLL the other negatives that comes with him. He will never win the election.

I am African American and a longterm, regular , daily Fox viewer. I beleive that Shaun Hannity's daily repetition of all of his negatives re: Obama is fueling many of the racial thoughts, feeling and actions manifesting at this time. It appears that he believes that it is incumbent upon him, the see to it that this Africian American does not make it to the White House. I was of the belief system that it was his task to report not attempt to sway the thinking of the viewers. By the way, I have no intention of voting for either of the presidential candidates. I understand that this is not directly related to your show, however he represents Fox News Personally, race is not an issue with me. My choice are made based on moral principles, and noe of the presidential candidates express them.

obama himself is racist - he was the one that said his grandmother was a typical white woman - wait, if i said someone was a typical black person, then i would be labeled a racist. hillary says a comment about obama losing some white voters in a certain socioeconomic class and then she is labeled a racist - wait, but what she said was true. oh, you can't say it because it is racist??? obama's little ploy with rev. wright was a set-up at the perfect time to work in his favor - do you actually believe that his recent public comments just happened? the whole election is being thrown - ted kennedy and his cronies pulled obama (a nobody) out of a back room and said he was akin to jack kennedy and lincoln himself- give me a break. next thing you know he will be saying he is the antichrist. my husband, who is puerto rican, by the way, said on listening to hillary talk to bill oreilly - " she would make a GREAT, GREAT president" you go girl hillary. obama will lose, lose, lose the election and then the dems will say, what happened? i am ashamed to be a democrat with all this nonsense with caucuses and crap like that - it isn't democratic at all. one person' s vote counts more than another's. NO BAMA and no MICHELLE- she is the biggest racist going. Goodbye obama - go back to illinois. have you ever listened to hillary talk - she is intelligent, has numbers and facts at her figures- all obama talks about is change, hope, audacity which equates to nothing. no wonder hamas wants him for president. he is the biggest wimp loser i have ever seen. he is an automatic vote for john mccain. wake up howard dean and listen to the dem voters - we want hillary clinton. no wonder they didn't want to have florida and michigan count - they went overwhelmingly for clinton. so the dems said it wasn't fair! huh!!! hillary's health care plan takes into account every single american - obama's leaves 15 - 18 MILLION uninsured. you need to watch Michael Moore's latest documentary on Health care and then tell me how you sleep at night with obama's health care plan. makes you wish you weren't even an american.

Why is it that whites are so much more open minded than blacks? You don't see 92% of all whites voting for Hillary. We are taught from little up that we must be inclusive and embrace everyone. Obviously, the black community in general does not communicate this same message. It appears that for them, it's all about them and what's in it for them. They don't care about us yet we are required to care about them. I can't imagine the attitudes of many blacks toward whites if and when we do get a black president...and isn't it truly a shame that we even have to clarify what color or gender the person is. If we truly are what we say we are, a county where everyone is equal, then all references to race and gender should be eliminated starting from the top down.

ONE MINUTE OBAMA IS BLACK AND THE NEXT HE IS PART WHITE. I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON WHO HE IS SPEAKING MORE IN FRONT OF AT THE TIME. I DONT MIND IF HE IS PRESIDENT I WANT HILLARY TO WIN BUT IF SHE DONT I DONT WANT THE OLD MAN ONE THE OTHER SIDE TO WIND. I THINK OBAMA MADE IT OUT TO BE BETWEEN BLACK AND WHITE. HE WILL HAVE HIDDEN SECRETS COME OUT SOMETIME. WHOEVER SAYS HE WONT ARE NOT TOO SMART. IF YOU LOOK THEY ALL DO. DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT....MAJORITY OF BLACK WANT HIM TO WIN..THAT IS NO SECRET. WE ALREADY HAVE A BLACK USA AND NO WHITES CAN BE IN IT. Obama, is for the black people only. He has no new ideals for the USA. If you don't think so, why is he getting over 90% of the black vote ? Our defense would suffer big time. He wants to talk to the counties that hate us, just like Jimmy Carter did when he was President. To bad Regan, is not the President now. He has no clue about how to deal with oil prices, the downfall of the dollar. They talk about GWB being a bad President. After 8 years of Bill Clinton, people should not have anything to talk about. What a joke !! Bill, and Jimmy Carter. thank you.

Race is a pathetic card. Descrimination and race issues throw out accountability for individual action. I do not make my decisions based on my skin color, but on my national pride. This is my home, and racism is not tolerated nor accepted. U.S.A. love it or leave it. This cracker has had enough of all the racial agendas. I am more concerned with the much larger resume that Senator Clinton brings to the field. Race is a Non-issue

With a white mother and a negro father it's amusing that he's claimed by the black folk as black. I guess half negro is better than no negro at all. Regardless, this democratic race has become primarily about race versus issues. In my opinion this will ultimately lead McCain to the white house.

I think that Race was a huge factor in w.v primary tonight.Ms. clinton was very creative by using her famous remarks hard working "White" Americans , aren't most Americans hard working ? This was very insulting to the other enthnicity who resides in USA.She deliberatly use that racial remark "White" because she knew her target group, that W.V is 95% white. However, the people who see people as one did vote for Obama.Ms. clinton means that she has to win at any means necessary, even if by dividing the party into to groups .i have news for her she will not succeed. i am an outsider looking in.

Absolutely, I think race is a factor just as gender is a factor. The Democratic party shouldn't have been so irresponsible to allow a black person run against a woman in the same year. Then, they messed up the voting in Florida and Michigan. And, oh yes, the caucuses. The more this goes on, the Republican party is looking pretty good. Especially if Hillary Clinton doesn't get the nomination.

Race is a major factor with the black people. Just look at the high percentage voting for Obama and low percentage voting for Hillary. With the other races (caucasian, hispanics, asians, etc) these people seem to be voting for the candidate they feel will be the better president. Most blacks (not all) will always vote for the black person whether the person can do the job or not. There is also alot of blacks pressuring/blackmail/etc. other blacks to vote for Obama. Remember the saying, "Show me who your friends are and I'll show you what type of person you are."

Race is an issue, always will be,but with Obama it's his anti-American beliefs (see Rev. Wright) that will cost him the general. Too late for buyers remorse Democrats. If super-delegates go against tha people & pick Hillary ,election lost. If they stay with Obama, election lost. God help us if there's a President Obama!

Speaking as a white person, I have to say that I truly believe that race, honestly, and thankfully, is not a big factor for the majority of white people and it's about time that that is the case. For the black population, however, it truly is. Having sad that, how can you blame them? I would without a doubt do the same if positions were reversed. I cannot imagine the utter excitement that the black population must be feeling now. It's racism, but positive racism if that makes any sense. I don't think that black people are voting "black" because they hate white people, but simply because they are proud and because they can! I hope if Mr. Obama becomes President, the next time around black people will simply be able to vote for the best candidate. I have another poll question for you. Do you think if America elects a black man for its Presiden, the "white man keeps me down" rhetoric that leaders like Mr. (I hate calling him Reverend) Wright spews will have to end?

May 13, 2008 10:38pm ET

It's pretty obvious that race is a factor. Where ever african americans are very largely populated Obama wins the primary. Or where there are kids in college who don't understand the difference between a dem and republican. I think it is a shame the Obama keeps spewing out all this stuff at college kids and they keep believing it. They have no idea, it's going to be their butts on the line. His "change talk" has them all taken in. College kids these days can't think for themselves anymore. They are all like robots. They all even dress the same. That is how you know. They are all easily led. And, that is the future of our country. OH MY, what a shame. Let's all follow a man and vote for him just cause he says he wants to change the country. LOL What an original idea. ha ha ha. I sure hope if any college youth are reading this, and are voting for Obama, you reconsider, and start researching your path to your vote a little more, before it is too late. Please? Obama is not the God you make him out to be. Just listen a little closer with an open mind. No one else has to know you are doing it. Only you. Your mind is your own. You are the one who has the power to make change. Vote your mind, not what someone else is telling you you should vote, or voting what your friends are voting, just cause they want you to vote for their candadate. Be yourself. A wise man once said, " Above all, to thine own self be true". Be fair to you.

Certainly, race has played a major part in this election. If Obama was not a black man, there would not be an issue with Rev. Wright. He made these statements years ago. All of my life I have heard remarks like those made by Rev. Wright from family members and in school. There is a problem with race in this nation. Here in Katy, Tx, some white residents are trying to "run the Muslims out of town", by having pig races and cookouts on the property next to theirs. Clinton says that she would be ready to answer the call at 2a.m., just remember Gov. Blanco. She was the governor of Louisiana and she was devasted the morning Hurricane Katrina hit, she did not know what to do.

This is in response to Shawn N. If Obama was white and the 92% of people who are voting for him were white, people would be saying it's a racist thing. There's nothing wrong with having pride in your race, but if situations were reversed and 92% of whites were voting for Clinton because of her race, you better believe people would be crying racism. The black people aren't voting Obama because they hate whites, that might be true, but they still are voting Obama because he is black. And in response to your other question; No, I don't believe in the slightest that the blacks would stop with the "White man holding us down" thing. All that is is an excuse, nothing more. No one is holding them back, if anything they have been more catered to with things like affirmative action.

I think the race issue is a major factor. I sincerely believe that it's been caused by Obama because on his relationship with Wright, his wife's remarks and those in his campaign. His speech in Philly pushed people to know his thinking. However, he will not receive my vote. Not because of his race but because I could not trust him & because he has no experience. I cannot think he could be elected for the most important job in the world with his qualifications. I have lost all respect for the Kennedy's, Kerry, etc. to support hiring someone with no experience to run this country. What we really need is a replacement of the senators in Congress!!

Race is not a factor to me, but apparently it is to his wife. She looks angry to me. I'm not voting for Obama if Clinton loses to him. My vote will be for a republican for the first time in my life. I cannot and will not vote for someone that I have so much doubt about. I don't even watch Oprah any more because she left her nest to go out on a limb for a politician. I don't believe she would have done that if there wasn't a black person involved. No wonder she has fallen so in the ratings. I will never watch her again. The other thing that turned me against Obama is that NBC more or less has told me I needed to vote for him. I don't watch them any more either. MSNBC was my favorite channel, but I haven't watched them for a while now and will not go back.

I am so happy to read all of the comments on this subject. I was beginning to feel that I was the only one who feels this way about it being a "race race". The comment from Chris about his black professor voting because it's a "historical moment in his African-American life" also happened to me. A black business associate of mine was "mesmerized" by the fact that he had "lived to see a black man run for President of the U.S." (I hated to tell him that the guy is STILL TRYING to run for President). I also LOVE Mary Frances Begley's comments! I, too, am a registered Republican, and LOVE Hillary and WILL vote for Hillary in November! So, how many of us Republicans prefer Hillary? Does ANYONE ever POLL us or INCLUDE US in the polls? NO! And ALL the comments about Michelle Obama are so "right on"! I swear she was in the front row of Jeremiah Wright's sermon, cheering and jumping up and down. Plus, speaking of Wright, what's up with his living large in the WHITE UPSCALE neighborhood? And what about the gay choir director from that same church who "had something on Obama" and was found murdered in his Chicago apartment? This is a scary situation. Change? Isn't a woman President a change? Isn't a Democrat a change? Obama will NEVER win the general election, and the people who commented about the primaries having different outcomes if all of this had come out sooner are so 100% correct! I don't think it is totally a race issue, but the majority of blacks are making it a race issue. Educated blacks like Maya Angelou are supporting Hillary Clinton. And if Colin Powell had run I don't think it would be like it is with Obama. But his "people surrounding him" are making race a definite factor which is totally unfair, biased and not very smart. Hillary Clinton has a good mix and variety (blacks and whites). Obama has mostly black voters supporting him. What does that tell you?

Fritzwh
May 13, 2008 11:07pm ET

The "strong" candidates the Dems have brought forward for nomination are proving to be the weakest. Given the choices it is no wonder the blacks are 92% for Obama. Clinton has shown her political colors by making race an issue. The Clintons were the "black" candidates in the 90's in order to get the votes. They will do anything to advance their political/personal agendas. It is too bad Obama is proving to be less than he appeared at the beginning of the campaign.

It was not a factor with me until Mississippi and I realized 90% African Americans were voting for Obama?? I believed that to be racist, I witnessed the underhanded schemes and trickery, slurs and insults from the Obama supporters to HRC as "C" above comments. The Blacks willingness to draw and fire the RACIST weapon at the drop of a hat, as they took out Geraldine Ferrarro and or anyone who disagrees with BHO as a RACIST, even Hillary was called a Racist. Do we Americans really need that?? I'm sick of all this RACIST talk, that is what the Racist Candidate BHO has brought to the presidential race. The Irish, Italian, American Indian, German, we all have had our tough times. I like many other millions of people including many blacks, are tired of the RACIST topic, and want to move on to pressing problems confronting our nation, like health care, economy, infra structure, jobs, housing, oil, etc. Is this what a BHO presidential term is going to be like? gobs and gobs and gobs of racial talk till we can't stand it anymore? Most all of us are tired of it years ago. GIVE IT A BREAK, Screw the rules, no one has the right to gag 2.5 million voters, the United States still has 50 states, not 48 as Dean and Dean's buddy BHO say there is

People of power what you say is nothing but racist. Whites voted for whites because whites were the ones running. For the most part you don't see a 90/10 divide in one race. With the blacks it's obvious that they are voting for Obama because he is black. 92% of the blacks just happen to agree with everything that Obama stands for? Good luck convincing people of that.

PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE FOLLOWING: 1. OBAMA CLAIMS SPECIAL BIRTH. MUCH MORE THAN WE MIGHT BELIEVE. REPORTS EMANATING FROM AFRICA ALLEGE HIS MOTHER WAS IN KENYA WITH HIS ARAB KENYAN (NOT BLACK KENYAN) FATHER--THIS IS CLEARLY SHOWN IN KENYAN GOVT. REGISTRY DOCUMENTS WHICH LIST THE FATHER AS AN ARAB KENYAN--AT A VERY LATE TERM IN HER PREGANCY AND WAS NOT ALLOWED ON A FLIGHT TO RETURN TO HAWAII. SHE GAVE BIRTH TO HIM IN KENYA, IMMEDIATELY GOT ON A PLANE AND THEN REGISTERED HIM AS BEING BORN IN HAWAII. 2. HE IS NOT AN AFRICAN AMERICAN BUT AN ARAB AMERICAN AND CANNOT CLAIM AFRICAN MINORITY STATUS, WHICH BY US FEDERAL REGULATIONS REQUIRE A PERSON TO HAVE 1/8 (ONE EIGHTH) OF THE MINORITY BLOOD (12%). FROM HIS MOTHER HE HAS 50% WHITE BLOOD, FROM HIS FATHER HE HAS 43.25% ARAB BLOOD AND FROM HIS MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER HE MANAGES TO HOLD ONTO 6.75% AFRICAN OR BLACK HERITAGE BLOOD. HE HAS HAD TO DUCK AND WEAVE ALL HIS LIFE AND USE WHATEVER LIES HE COULD USE TO EVEN PASS FOR BLACK AND THE BENEFITS THIS MINORITY STATUS PROVIDED. SO EVEN THIS, WHILE UNDERSTANDABLE--IA A DOCOUMENTED LIE.

I believe that white working class voters are paying attention to the issues that are affecting Americans. His solutions for them. which Sen Obama is not addressing, keeps changing his mind about or leaning more and more towards Hillary's solutions. What change is he talking about anyway? The status quo in Washington? What is that anyway? What are his plans to change that? Does he think if he wins the Republicans will be more apt to be bipartisan? Not likely. Actually, the Dems will be less likely to push any legislation he wants because he has offended them so many times with his "status quo" statements. Many of the black "newly registered" voters never voted before even if they were of age and will probably not vote again unless there is a black candidate to "inspire" them to. It is too bad that they haven't cared enough in the past about America and her direction, it could have made a difference and changed the appearance that this nomination is all about race and their want for a black President, not because he is qualified, but because he is black.

Hey Gretta, Like it or not, race is a major factor in this race. We're all recists to a certain degree. The old saying "birds of a feather flock together" is pretty true. Racism is necessarily based on hate. We're not robots. We tend to vote for people we find likable and who look like us. Most black voters will probably say they vote for Obama because of the issues but I'll bet few really know his positions on the issues which means most blacks are voting for Obama because he looks like them. This does not surprise me.

Sad as it may be, if your skin color is black you'll vote Obama. The really funny thing is he condemns others for making this a race issue but it IS a race issue. If you setup a lifelike cardboard figure of a black man at least 90% of blacks would vote for the figure. They don't appear at least to care about ethics, morality, integrity OR THAT THIS MAN VOTED FOR PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTIONS! Just that he's black. Dumber than a bed bug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it so amazing that so many BLACK'S are racists. Lets be honest now; one is not born racist. IT IS TAUGHT!! Where: home, parents, teachers, friends, PREACHERS? When little children play together because their ok with each other and if they are not its not about skin color. QUIT TEACHING HATE IN THE BLACK CHURCHES! Wright, Sharpton, Jackson, are so racist and these are just 3. Its all about Black Power!

We have Wright to thank for that. Also, it wasn't pleasant to learn that African/American-based churches dwell so much on racial issues in Sunday sermons. It was reported as an accepted fact while I'm praying for the past to leave all of our lives, our consciences, and never appear in our society again. After learning how those like Wright are still perpetuating it and blaming me for something I didn't do, then I give up! Listening to Wright's rants drove me to the point for the first time in my life of thinking, "what will be, will be if we're not all on the same page". It's unfortunate for all of us; I want us to stop thinking "race" anything and just be happy people!

WRONG PB: Thank your wonderful media like Fox New. Rev Wright's sermons have been televised for over 4 years on TV stations in Chicago and preaching for over 30 years... and no one's had a problem. If you knew any substance about many of his sermons you would understand that politics less than 5% is what the media looped for weeks. The rest is strictly about what is in the Bible. As long as white churches are allowed to preach sermons tailored to a white congregation, help poor whites, and do missionary work in 3rd world countries, Rev Wright's church can preach a sermon tailored to the black community and can serve the inner city poor black community, and do missionary work in 3rd world countries. I am sure you took over an hour of your life to listen to such media as Fox continue to spin Rev Wright's comments. Take an hour and look at the Bill Moyer interview>>> http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/04252008/profile.html <<< I am sure your prayers are wonderful, but blacks have prayed a different prayer for a few generations now... a prayer that our families don't get separated like the litter of a family pet, or that we don't get lynched, or to bring you more current [since you think it is so much in the past] praying that my hard work building a career and my hard work getting good grades in school will land me a good job to support my family, or will I get bumped by some slacker white guy that has a good golf game. Or maybe I should pray that my grandchild is getting the same education in our inner city school as white kids are getting in the suburbs. As you 'pray' for us to leave the past behind and sweep it all under the rug, I NOW live with the scars from that time in history. I have never committed a crime in my life, but yet I have looked down the barrel of a policeman's gun because of mistaken identity... just a twitchy trigger finger away from death. That happens NOW, so don't think it is so much in our past history. I respect that you pray. I understand that many whites have struggles. But with the experience of blacks in America, don't tell blacks how we should pray. Don't tell us who should or shouldn't lead us in prayer because you can't relate. Don't try to tell us how we should pray to the same God that has kept us in existence even though whites have tried their best to destroy us and our culture. Lack of acknowledgement of the affects of the unique and bloody history of blacks in America shows the true hypocrisy of your prayers.

And by the way. Thinking black people vote only for a black candidate due to color is an insult. I have votes every year since I could vote. I have voted for the candidate that best has MY interest in mind. In all cases except for Jesse and Sharpton, I have had a choice of white males. Obama is BIRACIAL if not MULTIRACIAL! No matter how you try to spin race into this race, he has fought for ALL working Americans. That is why he is going to win. I, like many others, am choosing for us to spend US dollars here at home and not burn them in Iraq. That is why McCane is going to lose. It has nothing to do with race. Obama being multiracial is a welcome change on top of he being a great candidate.

SICK OF IT

SLAVERY is over. Quit living as if you've BEEN a slave. You only have to holler "racism" and the world jumps. I'm rather sick of it. YOU blacks have it better than White's do. You get fired from a job and "its because I'm black" and the government worries about the possibility of black uprising. When Rodney King was beat I saw black people stealing and robbing as an excuse for the King episode. Its nauseating. When I was a kid the shops in the Black community all had bars on them to keep their own people from robbing them! Its all the "Whitey's" fault because many in your communities don't stay in school but have 10 kids that we, the taxpayers, are paying for. You people want it all, for free, and the rest of us should pay. You don't deserve anything over and above anyone else. Equal, based on the person. Its great that you'd all be supporting a man that believes that partial birth abortions are ok. When you don't even care about your own babys, black - white - whatever, your not even human. I get so sick of these blogs and the people that think that somehow they deserve MORE than others - and they speak of racism. Blacks hate whites, thats the racism I'm finding out about!

BECAUSE HE'S BLACK

EARL: Obama has run away from some of the most important votes in the senate. You better do some real research, of course your Black, and since Obama seems to hate White people and believes in Black Power, I can understand why all of you are voting for him BECAUSE he's black! Don't be insulted - it IS because of his skin color your all voting for him. Just facts my man, just the facts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SICK OF IT - Yes, slavery is over, but how can you have an ounce of intelligence and say generations of destruction towards a group HASN'T affected how they function TODAY. Successful people have role models in their family that have influenced them to be successful. When there have been limits put on the successes of potential role models, it becomes challenging to encourage children to excel. I am not one to say that every time I was passed over for an opportunity it was because I was black. I never said that, but sometimes when it looks, walks, and quacks like a duck, its a duck. I have NEVER expect a free ride, I only want the same opportunity for my hard work as white men get. It is better than it was 30 years ago, but it is not an even playing field yet. I don't know where you get that all blacks, or as you call us, 'you people' want to be given a hand out. There are people in all racial groups that are slackers and want something for nothing. If you don't know... it is white rural people that get the most from the welfare system. It is white females that benefit the most from affirmative action. It is not me 'acting like I have been a slave' as you claim, it is you people that want to keep this good ol' boy system going. It is you white people that think you are entitled to have all the meat from the table and drop the scraps on the floor for everyone else. You speak so proudly of not wanting to kill babies, but what about McCane wanting to keep this war going. Do you think there are Iraqi babies dying? If you valued life so much, you would be against any war where innocent civilians get killed...

BECAUSE HE'S BLACK - Correction... Whites like you will look for anything to discredit a black candidate JUST because he is black. Here's Obama’s record: During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others. His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. Compare that to Clinton who has served only one full term - 6yrs. - and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law - 20 - twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years. I think YOU need to do your research better. I vote for a candidate that is about getting things done. You don't gain the support he is getting by doing nothing. Don't believe the Obama hate.
