How should memorial planners approach this sticky situation?

Add a space, plaque or statue, to solely recognize Revolutionary War veterans.

Build a separate memorial recognizing only those patriots, who fought during the Revolutionary War, elsewhere.

Revolutionary War soldiers would be out of place on this memorial. Go ahead as planned.

Memorial construction should be halted until all veterans can be included.

Don’t build at all. Even those recognized wouldn’t approve of the hefty, mostly taxpayer funded, construction bill.
