This is just another example of a "touchy/feely" feel good ploy.

Any time you lower taxes like capital gains or personal taxes, the revenue to the government skyrockets. Lowering mitigation fees for developers, or getting rid of them will stimulate building.

YES! Building fees have skyrocketed in Amador Co in recent years and many developers have backed out of projects due to the fees. Even private landowners wishing to build a home are hit with fees in the 10's of thousands of dollars. A new homebuilder I talked to recently has a Recreation Fee alone of around $4000! Yet the Plymouth pool can't open due to lack of funds.... go figure. We are contractors...the jobs have dried up all over. I know we buy locally, our employees buy locally...of course it would help the economy in Amador County if work would pick up!
