Marc, I have to take issue with your poll. My feelings on the matter are that an Obama/Clinton ticket is far from horrible and perhaps politically expedient, but unfortunate in the face of other VP picks who I feel would be more worthy. Basically you should have included a "not bad, but not the best" option, instead of all these strongly worded extreme options.

JBS neatly summarizes my thoughts. Clinton is a motivator to turnout anti-Clinton Republicans anywhere on the ticket, and damages downticket races in many states, especially the west and south, where Dems should be able to pick up seats. (Yes, I know the Republicans now insist that they love her and would be powerless against her might and would all just go vote for her, heck, and then have a few shots with her and shoot some guns. They are not sincere.)
Clinton was a lousy manager of both 90s health care (which I am required by blogging convention to label a "fiasco") and this campaign (screw the small and caucus states, they'll never matter....what do you mean those delegates count too??!!!); Obama needs someone to whom he can delegate. I presently favor Schweitzer from Montana, but Sebelius would be good too.
Before anyone points out LBJ and Kennedy, remember who the chief suspect in Kennedy assassination theories is. And while I don't think she'd have him assassinated, someone who pants for your seat in the oval office isn't a good choice--any unpaid parking ticket, and Clinton would be making speeches about how she stood ready to take up the reins of power in this grave national tragedy.

Hillary Clinton can lick the sweat off of my sack. What a conniving, deceitful, bitch.

Choosing HRC as a running mate would invalidate everything Obama stands for as an agent of change.

Obama/Clinton=Never going to happen. But I think a great many Hillary supporters will have to be appeased with a ticket like Obama/Sebelius.
Or maybe I'm just wishfully thinking.

The only Obama-Clinton ticket I would endorse is one that includes funkmaster deluxe George Clinton. Otherwise, no dice.

Exactly. Absolutely no way this happens.
Hi, I'm Barack Obama. You probably know me. I'm the candidate who is everything HRC isn't. Which is why you love me. Or maybe you just have big problems with her, and don't even love me all that much. Either way, you've supported me in this campaign. You've probably even bought a T-Shirt from my website, volunteered for me, or come to see me speak. I'm fresh. I'm new. I'm a uniter. I want to rise above the cheap distractions that keep us from solving big problems. I don't want to revisit the past. I don't want to play upon the worst in us, polarize this country any further, or simply tell you what you want to hear.
Meet my running mate, Hillary Clinton. You know, the one who said I wasn't ready to be President.

Obama-Clinton? Where would Bill fit in? Not a good idea...it's time for a complete change.

By Obama choosing Clinton for VP, he would give credence to those who doubt his claims of bringing a new politics to D.C....Don't do it man!
