Look it, Jason Bourne is a very close second. Bond is out the do immediately (though the new Bond is the best we've seen). Bourne may be a better fighter than Bauer, but I'm not sure. I do know Jack's proven himself time and again. He's wicked resourceful and stands up to an awful torture. I don't know if Bourne has the clankers to bite a man's jugular. And Bourne's mission is pretty self-driven, while Bauer constantly prefers the greater good. Jack Bauer is a pimp.

Well, there's no doubt that Bond is the weakest link, so the question is whether it's Bauer or Bourne. Bourne is definitely the better fighter, but I think Bauer is more resourceful and has been the one to withstand being tortured. Bauer has been able to get out of so many sticky situations, so he definitely gets my vote!

Obviously, as others have mentioned Bond's best trait was Connery with his abnormally hairy chest, otherwise he is just a slut in a suit. And with Bauer and Bourne who would win in a one on one matchup. Sorry, but I just don't get overly scared of someone who before being Bauer was part of The Land Before Time. Bauer also has help, while Bourne takes on the world by himself. Obvious, answer here: Jason Bourne!

Jack Bauer died and came back to life, was in a Chinese prison and didn't have any psychological problems (even bit a dude in the neck), and is just a P.I.M.P. baby. Bond has a nice little pistol, but Bauer would slug it out with him and take him out real fast. Bourne is pretty close, but still, c'mon, Jack Bauer can and will kill anyone that comes up to him. Also, Bond is English (and we all know how sissy they are) and Bourne is only out there to save himself; Jack is the man who sacrifices himself for the good of our 50 states. (Thus, making him a little more Christ-like than the other 2 nin-kom-poops.)There is absolutely no question...Jack Bauer. And all you clowns out there who voted for the other 2 wimps need some perspective! Our land is a safer place with Jack Bauer patrolling the world.

Oh, I'm so conflicted! James Bond has always been the man, but I'm just not sure that he had to deal with the same type of stuff that Bourne and Bauer do. My students overwhelmingly said Jason Bourne with Bond coming in 2nd, but they haven't watched 24, so they have no idea what that man has been through (since it's all real and everything...). He can survive anything. I like Bauer the best. He actually has a heart. But Bond is a legend and has supercool gadgets. And a cool accent. And Bourne kicks some serious butt. He can kill people with books and pens. He's a machine.
