We are known by the friends we keep. Those of you who disagree might wish to look at whom you want your children to hang around with. What I really want to know is why the more famous black leaders such as Sharpton, Jackson, etc. are not standing up for Obama. No respectable person black or white can support the duplictious Obama. He will say or do anything to get elected but tell the truth. He was a member for over 20 years!
Off the Subject is correct--the black community is their own worst enemy from crime to sub-prime mortgages, to the lack of education, family structure and illegitimacy. They perpetuate the cycle and blame the whites and want more money to fix the problem they refuse to correct. They shame their ancestors who left slavery with nothing and built families and farms from nothing but hard work. No one gave them anything, they earned it.

Rev. Wright is far to extreme, so are the others that Mr. Obama has choosen to have near and dear. I listened carefully when Obama said that he thought of Wright as his spiritual mentor and friend all these years, yet he never knew this about Rev. Wright. I personally feel Obama lied when he said he never heard this type of talk by Wright. Obama will continue to keep Wright down in the basement of the White House after the election. Wright is very condescending, he despises whites, the list goes on and on. Is he trying to reincorporate segregation? As a Christian the one thing I know is my Lord does not promote hate, He promotes Love. I guess Reverend Wright and I pray to a different God and different Jesus. Not deficient just very different in Wrights own word.
I am a Republican who was brought up in a Republican home that dates back to many generations, and quite honestly I am appaled at your show and Hannerty and Colmes for their continual degrading of Barak Obama. If I didn't like John McCain so much I would be tempted to vote for Barak just because of your tactics. Of course you vote is going to be skewed because it is Republicans that are watching your shows. None of my Democratic friends watch Fox News. They all watch CNN which of course is skewed to Liberals. Please talk about something else besides Rev. Wright or I will have to stop watching Fox News and that will make me sad since I watch it every day.

Just as important as superdelegates being attacked with Wright ads for supporting Obama is the destruction of race relations being the responsibility of these people.
Just reading the comments here attest to the fact that Obama's elevation of race to this level has set race relations back decades. Old hatreds and mistrust between the races is reaching the pre 60's levels.
This is unforgivable of him and for that he should never be rewarded with the office of president.

I used to watch Fox News a lot, but not anymore. Now that we got a candidate who has the leadership to really unite this country the conservative right is out to completely and utterly destroy him--via Fox News. I'm an independant and don't see things from the right or left. I use my own judgment and I know authenticity when I see it.

A huge problem with Wright is that he revealed a segment of hatred that many were not aware of, and Obama was in the middle of all that for too many years. I doubt anything they say or do now can ever erase the impressions that have been firmly planted into the minds of those distant from their Chicago ways, especially after Obama has already given us conflicting versions of his relationship with Wright. Perhaps all Obama's superdelegates need to closely examine these turn of events, not just those up for reelection, no? What else will we be learning about Obama's connections and when will be learning them, when it is too late?

I am a registered Republican but after listening to Hilary Clinton tonight on Fox I was impressed and would consider voting for her over McCain. However, Obama would never get my vote. His ties to Wright are just part of the problem. The super delegates should think seriously about who to vote for. Hilary Clinton has a better chance, in my opinion of beating McCain.

I'm so embarass to admit this, but I caucused for Obama here in my State. I was totally jaded with his oration, it was like he was the best thing that happened in this country. I was so sold out with him, I've donated money to his campaign. After Supertuesday (February), things start coming out about Obama I know nothing about. None of the media reported it, I found out about Wright in youtube by accident, it was the MOST watched video. When I watched it and read all the comments, I feel like the whole world crashed on my shoulder. I feel Obama cheated me, lied to me, fooled me into believing just his words. I cried for days, I was so ashamed of myself, he's a smooth talker, behind those sweet words convincing people, he's nothing but a LIAR and a CROOK. I hate Obama now, I can't stand looking at him on TV, I don't want to hear his voice! I find him to be a lowly life scumbag. If Obama didn't really agree with Wright, he would have walked out of that church 20years ago; anybody whose judgment was not impaired would have realized during 20years, no matter how many times he attended that church, that his Pastor's views were not acceptable, were full of animosity and hatred. His staying there 20years doesn't speak about his love for his Pastor, it speaks about Obama's views and lack of judgment, and it doesn't speak well at all about someone who wants to be President of the United States. I guess I should not be suprised that all comments to date represent a racially biased view. Regarding super delegate re-election; the wise voter will cast a ballot either for or against based on the record of one and vision/promise of the other. I for one am searching for a presidental candidate who can provide a vision and set a national direction around which we all can rally; someone who is willing to take the high road; someone who has the courage to say what needs to be said; someone who can make the tough decisions that go against the polls; a person of integrity. I want a president who says "Here's where we are going" then tasks everyone to make it happen. Remember the last time we had a president like that? JFK gave us the will to land on the moon and return safely before the end of the decade in which he was elected. Is there someone out there that can lead us to energy independence by 2020? It appears the more we learn about Obama we find more and more individuals who are filled with hate and people with ties to terrorist activity are coming out of the woodwork. My heart is heavy that the black population holds on to hate, how the blacks of today are still filled with hate for things that happened before they were born, they did not live in those times. Please don't hate me for something that I have no control over. Yes, slavery existed, it existed even before their people we brought into this country. I don't accept everything my Pastor preached about but i still attend the same church because of God (principal reason), relatives, and friends. The "right" used guilty by association to destroy the credibility of Barack Obama and by doing so, they stop talking about things that matters to the American people: like healthcare, the war in Iraq, the economy, and a lot more other issues that the American People want to hear. I honestly believe Obama has a hidden agenda that involved Pastor Wright. He claims he never heard his rantings before - what a liar! I heard him tell someone who interviewed him that he never missed church on Sunday except for the week his oldest daughter was born. He said Pastor Wright was not at his announcement, but we now know he prayed with him in the basement of the building before his announcement.

Senator Obama has given us his answers about Reverend Wright. His many answers. Many answers each one just a little different. Depending upon the circumstances. And, though he claimed to have separated himself from Wright back in early March, that did not stop his campaign from handing out flyers in Philadelphia, in heavily black areas, detailing his close ties to the Reverend and the the TUCC church, just before the Pennsylvania election.
And this week, Obama claims to have been SHOCKED, shocked! at what the Reverend had to say. Yes, shocked, after twenty years of listening, socializing, consulting, celebrating. And he never heard a thing. But now that Wright outs Obama as a run-of-the-mill cynical politician, and declares that Obama will say anything to get a vote, Obama is SHOCKED and insulted.
The media may be fooled by this overly-ambitious, underperforming prevaricator, but "typical" Americans are not. For Obama to supply so many nuanced answers, so many diferent interpretations and explanations, it is evident to anyone with half a brain that the full story has not yet been heard.
And, as we hope that our political representatives are in possession of at least half a brain, any down-ticket candidate who continues to support Obama is in peril. Obama's CV is vastly inflated and his experience in each of his jobs is brief and inflated. That leaves little to say for him, other than judgement and leadership qualities.
We see that his judgement is deeply flawed. And his leadership qualities, as shown by his performance in the US Senate, are highly suspect. Flowery phrases and over-reaching claims aside, he did not 'cross the aisle' he did not 'serve out his full six year term,' he did not accomplish any of those many bills he claims to have authored by himself. Any Senatorial candidate who supports him therefore has to be an idiot. Any candidate who supports him will be branded as being on the leftist fringe and linked to Wright, to anti-American comments, to anti-Catholic, anti-Jewish, anti-everyone comments.
It is to be hoped that we will no longer elect idiots. Or liars.
In the beginning Obama was a very interesting candidate. Many followed him with great hope for change and unity. Much of the media "had tingling" down their legs. Blindly, many voters followed this great HOPE. Well, I wonder how many folks would like to change their vote. It appears Sen. Obama has developed and embraced some relationships which were for the sole purpose of political gain. I was never a supporter of Obama's, I never thought he had enough experience. I watch every political year the American public "fall in love" with a particular candidate. Our current Pres. was elected because he was the one people most wanted to have a beer with. Religion and personal opinions can pretty well coexist. As a matter of fact; not all those who go to a particular church or listen to a given preacher leave by the preacher's life. In the Bible, it's appeared many times that Jesus disagreed with the Jewish religious leaders of His time; but He never asked anyone to depart from their (religion leaders) teaching nor their church (temple). On the contrary, He calls everyone who believes in Him to welcome the sinner while rejecting the sin. I vote, and I do vote for the person I beleive is most qualified for the huge responsibility of leading this country, selecting a talented cabinet and surrounding themselves with sound advisors. I must admit that I lean Democratic therefore I was so excited when Hillary and Obama ended up as the final candidates against McCain. I am so very disappointed in Obama and that's putting it mildly. What a great speaker but unfortunately it ends there. I wish I could withdraw my vote for him. I am a female and it was a difficult choice. I did not vote white or black, male or female, I voted for the person. It's out of our hands in Wiscosin. The Super Delegates BETTER undue my error. Isn't that in part why there are Super Delegates. JOE: I have a real question. What do you mean by your statement. Are people like Wright common? I'm a white american. THe Baptist Church I belong to is headed by an African American. He's in charge of over 100 Churches in our State. He preached at our Church and he brought many of us to tears. He was wonderful and uplifting. NOTHING like Wright. Think about this, say a person stands by and watches criminal activity taking place but says absolutely nothing for years and then suddenly when that activity is highlighted to the larger public he/she says "Oh man, this is just nuts - I'm not like that - I denounce it" would you believe that guy or gal - bull****. He's been there listening/watching this for 20 years and said nothing and now he thinks he can just fool us into thinking that he has not been influenced by that – RIGHT!
As good Christians, yes, we must find it our hearts to forgive and forget, but that forgiveness first starts with the sinner admitting to their mistake and genuinely asking for forgiveness - not by being arrogant/foxy and saying it's not my fault, so and so made me do it.

I don't like any of the candidates. I am a republican. Barack Obama gives good speeches but no real solutions. Hillary Clinton lies through her teeth and sounds like she has solutions but at whose expense? McCain is more genuine but not a true conservative. I have not decided if I can trust him yet.
What we need is an average person who really understands what it is like to live from paycheck to paycheck, not someone who is rich and has no idea how the average person lives. JEREMY: I remember as a child not thinking too much about race. My mother told me about having a best friend who was black. My parents never spoke negatively ever about African Americans or for that matter any race. We had neighbors, friends and just never thought of it much. I wouldn't care whom my children married as long as they were of faith, worked hard and were men /women of integrity. People like Wright make their living by stirring the pot HOT! Thats their "job". What just astonishes me is that African Americans, at least many, embrace this. They dole out dollar after dollar and than watch that person buy million dollar homes, have a 10 million dollar bank roll, drive mercedes benze, wear lots of bling, etc. I'm not college educated but have a lot of common sense. I believe that there is not one person on this earth who has NOT been disappointed by someone that they trusted. Perhaps a relative, a friend , a partner. Somebody has done something that you did not expect--perhaps your child. This is what happened to Obama. Why is it so hard for some people with closed minds to understand that the church did many good things within its community. This was a church that Obama chose to attend because many of the people he helped in his early community organizer role, attended. A church is so much more than a minister. It is a place of sanctuary and help to others.
How can you question the integrity of a person who opted to take a $12,000.00 a year job in Chicago as a community organizer after turning down a three figure lucrative position on Wall Street. You know that 8000 people attended the church; how many of them walked out of the church based on statements they were not present to hear. The congregation is composed of judges, attorneys, doctors, educators, etc. The church did so much good for the community. And now what do you want. A woman who tells misstatements and panders to get a vote. or a woman who has associated herself with an entire line of wrongdoers and shady people. A woman who does not read important documents prior to voting for war. Hillary said she trusted the president. Wrong. Do you want a woman who would OBLITERATE another country and get us right into a nuclear war. Dangerous. I do not want her in charge of nuclear power in this world. I care for my children and grandchildren too much to obliterate a country and risk a major world war. Perhaps you want to set a good example by having a President who was under sniper fire in Bosnia.

Or perhaps A man who most likely will have to introduce the draft because the troops are on their fourth or fifth time in the middle east. I would much rather choose a man who prayed in the privacy of his church (although different to me but that's OK) and has dedicated his life to help others--a man who chose poverty over wealth for the betterment of others. For me the chose is clear and obvious.
President Bush did not handle the 911 when told. He kept visiting the children in a Florida classroom. He had to be told more than one time during the daylight. He did not answer the call to Katrina where thousands of people are left without a place to call home. Do not forget about the foreclosures. Many more thousands of people are without homes and the businesses stole their money with manipulative and fradulent business practices. REALITYGIRL2: Its Bush's fault about katrina? Those people had days to get out of dodge and they stayed. That stupid mayor had all kinds of buses available to pull the invalids out of town, but didn't. A young boy had some sense and took a bus and took some of the people out. If I was told a storm was coming and I had days to get out, I'd walk if I had to. Than the tax payers paid for motel rooms for up to a year while SOME of them partied and had fun. See some of those reports. SOME worked very hard and rebuilt. THey didn't sit back waiting for the government to save them. We've had 2 towns near us torn down from tornados. THe government never set them up in motels or dropped mobile homes off for them to live in. THey were on their own. Its called getting off your duff and rebuilding. The devestation by us was horrific but no one blamed Clinton. I'm sick of the Bush blame. Its toooo stupid that its sickening. Then the idiots who signed mortgages for homes they couldn't afford? I purchased homes in my 20's (and I'm 60 now) and had to READ the contract. It stated that interest could go UP. UP means more than I was paying at the time. Kind of simple. People want all the big and expensive and live from paycheck to paycheck and then whine because, oops, I guess I can't afford it. ITS CALLED PERSONAL RESPONSIBLITY. I've never voted before because I've never really trusted the world of "politics". I believe that we *are* in a recession. I fall in the statistics of unemployment and no health benefits including loss of my home. I've gone bankrupt. With food and gas prices continuously rising and outrageous health premiums; I feel it's just going to get worse if something doesn't get done right *now*. I'm single with no kids in my mid 30's; a Hispanic female born and raised in America. There is no real help from the state for people like me in terms of benefits such as welfare, cal-works, WIC, etc. Even illegal immigrants get to benefit from such programs. I've seen a lot of things that don't sit right with me as a born American and I’m just reminded that the system has a lot of flaws; and benefits only apply to certain people whether illegal alien(s) or single parents. I’ve seen it in the work force as well and as a hard working individual devoted to her job, it’s unfair. I’ve been given crazy advice to reap the same benefits but I don’t pay heed to them because I am not the unlawful type, I like to do things in a legitimate manner. Despite the economy crisis, I love this country for it’s’ humanitarian nature and the liberty for all Americans. I will vote for the first time and it will go to Barrack Obama. I won’t let the media and/or Rev Wright distract me or sway my vote to the other two candidates. I don’t trust Hillary, I find her a bit shady and as for Mccain, I think he means well, but I’m afraid we could go a third term of “Bush” Administration if he’s President. Mr. Obama knows humility and has a sense of humbleness about him, which is the opposite of Rev. Wright despite of the 20year relationship. I find Mr. Obama to be trust-worthy and I also think he has the fortitude and the right temperaments and the heart to be able to lead this country to a better ground. Both my husband and I wonder why this was not more widely discussed. Senator Obama has made remarks in the past pertaining to the religious core of the country in reference to his upbringing and adult beliefs; yet, he now denounces both the facilitator of his spirituality in this church and the basic theology of this pastor.
As in the past year or so, Senator Obama has made political statements and then recanted them in a way that looks suspiciously like he is the pot calling the kettle black...just to paraphrase...and in no way intended as a pun. Just take the issue concerning his "plan" for change. Go on his website and peruse the plan in all subjects from Health Care to reforming the tax codes. No where does he specify the exact way or means in which these are to be accomplished. They are just his "ideas" on what needs to be "changed." What we would like to know is when we are to see HOW this will be done.
Senator Obama made a statement in the early days after declaring himself a candidate...(paraphrase) " I would hire experts in the field to make recommendations and then would have cabinet members make the decision." Is this how a President runs government or is this how change is made?
Some believe that Senator Obama should be given the chance to be our next President. I would like to see more meat to his preposals and comparisons of his plans to Senator Clinton's plans before ANY more decisions or ANY delegates are made. Conventional wisdom in past years has been that a candidate is not the NOMINEE until all of the states have spoken.

For Obama to have dropped the Rev on his first set of statements he would have lost a great number of the black vote and the others races would have know for sure the only reason Obama dropped the Rev at that time would have been totally political and his book and foundation for his campaign would have been a lie. So a better plan had to be made and implemented.

As a resident of Sen. Obama's home state IL, I voted for him in his senate race. He was well qualified for this position, the junior Senator was on a quest for potential greatest. As years past it grew clearer that lesson learned became less than beneficial, but more politically motivated. How could the junior Senator offend anyone by abstaining from important votes? Ask me what Senator Obama has done for his state of IL? I wish I knew. The problem lies with his lack of decision making. A great speaker, but does not have an answer or clear voting history. This is the same thing with Rev. Wright; the rev is neither your aunt nor the African-American people. Anyone who damns American is wrong, regardless if they are African, European, Asian, Latino or Native Americans we are all just Americans and need to get pass this required adjective that some races insist come first before America. The super-delegates need to remember who they represent and that is America First! Obama is a Great man, but not at this time, maybe in 8 years.

The woman governor of my state (an Obama supporter) is up for re-election in November and after this Obama/Wright controversy I'm voting for her Republican rival. Our governor won by a very slim margin last time (maybe a couple hundred votes) and I think this Obama fiasco will hurt her re-election. Wright fails to include in his sermons the slavery every other race endured at some point. Wright by-passed the fact that 500,000 white men died to free black slaves. That means it cost the life of 1 white man for every 6 black slaves freed. Abraham Lincoln ordered all the freed slaves to return home to their countries of origin. None of the freed slaves wanted to leave America.
Wright omitted the fact that slavery is more rampant now around the globe than in other period of history. And that the West is unique in abolishing slavery. Blacks in Africa, to this day, are in bondage. Christian blacks being slaughtered by muslim blacks on a daily basis.
Did Wright include in his sermons that slavery in America was confined to the south and that only the wealthy could afford slaves? Most whites were poor. 90% of the white populace did not own slaves. Did Wright lift up his congregants by pointing out that all races the world over, pulled themselves out of oppression, defeat, poverty, with the sole exception of 'victim' Americans? The Irish overcame, the Scots overcame, the Jews overcame 4 times over, the Poles overcame, etc.
Oppression in America? Why do neither Obama or Wright disclose how they were born into affluence. And since he preaches that whites are so evil, why is it that Wright chose to build a $10M mansion in a 98% white community?
Blacks couldn't vote, Wright said. True, because they were not considered citizens. Just like foriegners can not vote today UNTIL they become citizens. When blacks became citizens, they had a right to vote. Lincoln was clear on the fact that when they were freed, they were to return to their homeland as he didn't believe there could be a healthy assimilation due to the cultural differences. But after many more whites fought for their citizenship, they obtained citizen priveledges.

This was pro abolition. The proslavery faction wanted to give the slaves full status because they wanted more representation in Congress. It would have maximized the congressional representation of the southern states. It was the abolitionists who wanted to completely do away with slavery that didn't want blacks to count at all because then their population in the south would be small enough to overturn it in Congress. It didn't have a thing to do with rejecting someone's humanity, but to strengthen the anti‑slavery majority in Congress. James Wilson came up with the 3/5 compromise.
Booker T. Washington sums it up nicely as he reflected on the blessings that came out of slavery. Once freed, blacks obtained faith, salvation, and wealth and that this was only possible for his people in the U.S.A.

We still have Iran and CHina to worry about. And Obama thinks he'll sit down to tea and persuade them not to kill us. WE"RE ALL AS GOOD AS DEAD! I include Hillary in that. She's another nut case when it comes to dealing with terror.
