Need to be careful with this - where it is bad for business is when it comes along with all the other increases in overheads, both internal (rent/rates/utilities) and external (car park charges/supermarkets competition/suppliers trading against retailers). All of these are things we can do nothing about, and what we need to do is to make Govt understand the reality of trying to run a business when hemmed in by all of these costs.

I agree, however ActSmart can help you with some of the core costs - like utilities, card processing, insurance, telecoms etc. Plus we are also lobbying Govt on the issue of red-tape and growing costs for independent smaller retailers.
