How can I make a decision about whether or not the event SHOULD have been cancelled without having the same information that the committee has? Evidently the ones who had the information felt it was necessary! They have done a fine job for 25 years; are we to second guess their decision now? Yes, it is disappointing, but sounds like they could use a little more community involvement?!
It is unfair that the paper claims that the HAJ has not asked for donations. EVERY article about the Jubilee for the last two years has mentioned that the event was struggling and needed help. It has been mentioned several times in articles that the Jubilee is a non-profit organization and that all donations can be tax deductible.
