we cannot just drop the name, we'd have to change it to something. Toronto First, Our Toronto, etc. Personally I like Free Toronto, or the Toronto Alliance.

The question is incorrect - if you are dropping "party" does that mean the new name will be " The Toronto" ?

How about The Toronto Initiative ?

Re: Dropping "Party" From The Name of The Toronto Party

DON'T DO IT!!!

Just because it's the easy route, doesn't make dropping the word "party" the smart thing to do.

The entire objective of The Toronto Party is to legitimize municipal party politics in Toronto (Ontario), by smoking out the existing "stealth" parties: NDP (+ Big Labour), Conservative & Liberal. All these parties meddle in municipal politics today. Our task is to educate Toronto voters to this reality.

Let's not fall into the easy-sleazy marketing trap, of pussy-footing around the truth. Let's shoulder the hard load and build on the existing name "The Toronto Party", that describes exactly what we are about.
