A lot of us are unhappy with the way things have changed in Chelmsford over the past few years. In particular, we feel don't feel the Selectmen have effectively represented us or protected our rights in regard to building projects. Many of us have suffered from continual noise, dust, unpredictable water qualitity, and property infringements. We see a lot of silly expenditures that don't seem to improve the quality of life for anyone, such as midnight expeditions in giant noisy machines to sweap streets that are to be dug up the next week. Why in the world would anyone want to give more money to a government that already feels oppressive? If the schools were a real priority, we'd put them in the budget first instead of using them as an excuse for an over-ride. I'm just glad my neighbors went out and got their votes counted.
