Why did Senator Obama say he would consider former VP Al Gore for a Cabinet level position?

Sen. Obama believes former VP Gore would be an asset to his administration

Sen Obama is cozying up to VP Gore to get his endorsement

I have no idea why he would do that

Dear Greta:
Another "NO-BRAINER". He wants Gores endorsement. Obama would throw his poor Grandmother under ANOTHER bus for the Presidency! Just politics at work again with all its deceit and deception. Makes me ill! GOD HELP OUR COUNTRY if that man gets elected!

I'm sorry to say this, but since you are on the FOX network, you are bound to be getting votes that would heavily be unfavorable to Obama than if you were on one of the other networks. I enjoy your show though and listen to you and Shepherd Smith, my favorites on FOX News. The rest, I watch others. :)

It should be obvious by now that if Obama will sit in a church with hate speech raining down from the pulpit for twenty years to get street cred in the black community he will say or do anything it takes to get endorsements. Is this a shock to anybody with a lick of sense?

2008-04-02 22:13:59 ET

I have noticed that you and Fox News seem to have this disturbing hatred towards Sen. Obama. Why would he NOT place Gore within his cabinet? Any true competitive team wants to draft and incorporate the strongest and best members enable to make it the best out there. Had Bush done the same (and listened to them), the country may not be in the peril that it is in now.

Democrats respect Gore and almost all would love to see him be an advisor to the President. Obama is saying what he believes. Endorsements mean about as much as being the first tv station to report a story; they are quickly unimportant. There is no reason to think this is just a political move. Democrats understand that.

Hi Greta,

First, I think you a brilliant young lady. Love your presentation on Fox.

As for Obama, isn't he the one that has donated more than 3/4 of a million dollars to the superdelegates or delegates for the Democrats so that he would have them on his side when needed?

He's getting seedier by the minute. I just watched a segment on Hannity & Colmes where Barack was not orchestrating a speech for the press, but rather was caught on camera nonetheless basically flipping people off. He is destroying himself at his own hand, and I'm loving every minute of it.

Greta, I appreciate your poll question, however what really should be asked to the American people is "Can Obama or Hillary Clinton be trusted enough with the office of the Prseidency when neither one can be trusted enough to be honest about their past because they are both now guilty of distorting the truth in an attempt to make themself more appealing to the American people?" Are the candidates so insulated from reality that they do not realize how we the American people are no longer just buying into anything they say we just use the internet to research their statements?

Greta: The news keeps saying that Obama will be the first black to become president. But; he is only half black the other half is white. I think the reason that he goes to his church is because it will make him blacker than he is. No matter what he does he is only half black. He will never be any more than half. Obama talks about his white grand-mother but what about what his black grand-parents thought about whites.

Some of you are so ignorant (please look up the word before becoming upset)! He was asked IF he would offer a position to Gore. Barack didn't just up and say this because he had nothing else to say... it was an answer to a question. If he were after delegates, then he would be offering a postion to everyone out there that could help him win. Not liking Barack is ok, and all is entitled to their own opinions; but do you not know how your opinion is degraded when you make comments based upon lies and stupidity. Also, he was NOT flipping anyone off earlier on H&C... even Hannity (amazingly) agreed with Sen. Obama's response to the individual... and I'm no Hannity fan, but truth is truth.

Obama will do whatever is necessary to get elected. There are a lot of Dems out here that think Gore lost his chance and was cheated out of the presidency. He would likely be an advocate for Obama because he hates the Clintons. I'm wondering when all this negative about Obama will finally be looked at by the news media; Pastor Wright, I hate Whites, and the thesis Michelle Obama wrote in college. Things need to be examined closely. I don't trust Bill, Hillary or Obama. Bring on the third party. I think it's time we all took a good, long look at a 3rd party candidate if we can find a decent one.

Much better than supporting those who have "mispoken memories" of Kosavo or others who have rapidly changing opinions of leaders of foreign countries (Iran). Read Obama's book, he tells in there how he could control his White mother by being nice and then do whatever he really wanted to. He is doing the same thing to White Americans, and it looks like it is working. White American's have let him, people like Jessie Jackson use them because they are black and it works. People running for office will do whatever works, in Hillary's case, she just lies, but the Liberal Media doesn't want her to be President so now they are pointing out her lies. Wake Up America !!

Obama says he wants everything to be transparent. Obama's reason for publically announcing that he'll have Gore head up a cabinet is verrrrrry transparent--he wants Gore's endorsement and the clout he might have with Superdelegates and delegates.

Karen
2008-04-02 22:25:54 ET

Yes, I believe he's hedging for an endorsement. I don't believe Gore will do an endorsement, nor should he. Ditto for John Edwards. I believe Barack Obama still has a lot of unanswered dilemmas for Democrats to settle out before we really give him the nod. The longer this campaign goes on the better. Obama doesn't want to answer questions and is not as accessible as he would have us to believe. I'm not too crazy about Hillary, but would prefer her to a real surprise from his background every other week. Some cable news media and print journalists have been in the tank and too powder-puff with him. Although he is black and is recognized to be the first legitimate candidate to make a run for the presidency, he should not be immune to the hard questions and the scrutiny everyone else endures.

Sandi Terry

Jean
2008-04-02 22:26:22 ET

Of course he is just trying to get Gores endorsement. As far as Senator Cleveland's statement. I understand completely what he is saying. No one knows of Senator Obama's credientals nor does the media care to really scrutinize to see what he is really about. He has many negative reasons that the media fails to elaborate on. The media is in love with him. I am not particularly fond of Senator Clinton either. But we have been given a complete picture, although it is mostly negative from the media. We are familar with her. Not with Obama. A positive slant on it all from the media. I still cannot understand his staying in that church with his children. He must believe in that rhetoric or he has no backbone to get up and take his family from that church. There is no putting a good slant on that. Either way, he is not the right material for the oval office. Color of skin has nothing to do with this decision. His beliefs do!

Obama will do whatever it takes to get elected. I love the Clinton/Obama Clashes..but Hillary should actually research how Deval Patrick..Obama's buddy won in Mass. AND WHAT A FAILURE THIS "OLD FRIEND" HAS BEEN IN OUR STATE...NO PROMISES FULFILLE, ALL OUR TAXES, TOLLS, FEES, FINES AND SUBWAY FARES ARE BEING RAISED..THE COMMUTER RAIL IS NOW IN ITS SECOND "RAISE"...AND OUR STATE THAT HAD 500 MILL IN THE BANK IS NOW IN DEFICIT TO THE TUNE OF 2 BILLION..NOT BAD FOR A YEARS WORK! Senator Obama is just doing what all politicians would do in his position. He wants to win the nomination so that he can run for President in the general election. Since, it is a close race Obama wants as many superdelegates on his side as possible, that's the reason he is saying those things about Al Gore, hoping that Gore will endorse him, giving him that much more of a chance for other delegates to support him.

greta, please tell me why every time obama brings up race in the media it's o.k but if a white man brings it up , it's racism.
obama is trying to get on the good side of gore to try to get his endorsement. he will put richardson as his running mate in hopes of getting the hispanic vote. The black people sure are loyal, all these years whenever they needed help with a cause they called hillary to go to bat for them , & she was always there. They sure dropped her quick when one of THEIR PEOPLE got in the race. The republicans are the ones who are trying to get obama in there because they know they can beat him.

2008-04-02 22:34:14 ET

I am so tired of black and white. I think most of America is beyond race. I think it is the media that keeps it alive. The American people need to be given more credit than that! As for Gore, he is pitiful. It is ideology that drives our votes. I vote my beliefs, not black, white, green or blue!

They don't even realize that the things they say are so racial such as "this is the first time I have been proud to be an American", this is just how the black church pastors teach the good book. I have to tell you this man frightens me. Vote for Hillary! Hopefully, he doesn't have enough money to buy Gore's vote as well as Richardson's and all the other superdelegates he has paid for their endorsement. What is wrong with America! Drinking too much kool-aid! Let’s be honest Obama has no experience and it is a “see we are not biggots”, I don’t care about a candidates color…just want a President with experience! How about C. Rice someday or C. Powel…at least they have experience and don’t want to turn us into a socialist nation…democracy will be dead and we will be paying 55% taxes if all areas of gov. are not balanced power and controlled by one party. Someone has to pay for all these “wonderful” things they promise to pass…think about it people! It happened in Canada, France and England and look what they are paying in taxes and their healthcare sucks! My dearest friend is in UK and was blown out of a blackhawk in Iraq was shipped back to UK for surgery on both legs and now 5 years after a botched surgery by a really bad “public doctor” they are trying to save his leg! We have the best medicine and the best doctors, but like England to receive that great care you will have to pay out of pocket to see those who will turn into “private doctors” for the best care! Mark my words this will happen. Also, the people who invested in Enron and its employees with their retirement accounts tied into the stock were not bailed out but people who wanted a house bigger than they could afford signed the mortgages knowing full well what could happen and is now happening yet they are being bailed out with our money by making a bad investment decision. Again wake up!

I can not honestly vote for this man. He sat in this church and listened to his "mentor" for 15 plus years. I just can't do it. Why did Osama spend 20 years in a church without listenting? Apparently he left his carbon footprint on his church bulletins which also fell on deaf ears. Even if I heard one thruthful thing from Obama, I would have to doubt that too. In my book, once you speak a mistruth, the rest of what comes out of your mouth is thoroughly discounted. And the WIFE??? Zero class. Maybe Barack can masterfully deliver a scripted speech, but when caught off camera he shows his true colors (no, that's not a racial comment) and he is one mean and ugly SOB.

It is not in the white churches. I have never heard a word said about the colored race nor have I ever heard a white preacher take God' name in vain and curse America out If they ever did they wouldn't be preaching there any more White people don't go for that kind of stuff Our Preachers Preach about Jesus and his Love and how all people need to be saved, born again We do not need Obama to be elected Wake up people and super deligates This world is shaping up like the end times The Bible talks about people just going crazy about one man don.t be deceived We need a very smart lady like Hillary for our President

I feel Obama was put on the spot with the question of Gore, but his response was purely political. On top of that, it was a good way to stick it to the Clintons - again. Considering all the negative reports I keep hearing about Obama, I can't understand why the media is so hands-off where he is concerned. It bothers me to think of him actually getting elected. Actually, it scares me. Same with Hillary. Is this the age of extremism? It seems both the far left and the far right "count" more to the media than the majority of people who are neither. Why cannot the media do a better job of remaining neutral and reporting the news, rather than trying to make the news. It really does seem like they are trying to affect the outcome of the elections. That's wrong. WRONG.

I heard a woman say yesterday she had never thought about voting for Obama, but since she met him, he was so personable she would vote for him now. What on earth are people thinking about? This is not a popularity contest (or is it)? It is sickening how the liberal media swoons over him. I would think it their duty to report all news fairly, but obviously not so. Al Gore is just another ruse to reach his goal. I too would vote for Colin Powell, even campaign for him. That is the experience and character we need in a President and hope McCain offers him the VP.

They need us to depend on them, they want us to leech off the government for their welfare check, their food stamps, they would love for us to depend on our health care too! They're bringing out the worst in people, they don't want you to have self esteem, pride in yourself to better yourself. They want you to vote for them to be in office so they can keep you on their leash! Wake up liberals, be proud and don't let the government be in your face!! I don't have to be an expert to predict that if Obama wins the Democratic nomination, the country, including Democrats (except for college students still on the dreaming stage and some loyals) will vote for McCain and he will win the presidency.
I believe most conscious, thinking Americans (even some who are with Obama now) will realize they don't want the US to commit political suicide voting for a grandiose, false orator associated with a false prophet who talks the talk but is unfit to walk the walk.
And, oh yes, the Democratic party will remain so happy with their newly-acquired young Obama democrats, their consolation prize for losing the elections.
Also, Obama has said he doesn't want to be associated with Washington politics (but, of course, he doesn't mind being associated with Rev. Wright), so to where is he planning to transfer the White House? This man has a Messianic complex. I don't have to be an expert to diagnose that either.

Greta and fellow Americans that have a little bit of common sense!! America has the most ignorant political voters on GOD'S earth. There is an ignorant bloc of voters who have no idea who or what they are voting for. They are 100% Liberal, Greedy for Gov't handouts, and have no Character issues when it comes to their Democratic counterparts. When I saw them vote for Bill after all of the things he did to women he had confronted and had gotten by with, then I realized the Liberal Democrats had no character or morals whatsoever. If they beleive this guy Obama, then thery should follow him over a clift or follow him to South America where he can really teach them about what a cult really is!!! He will do a great job of taking GOD out of America. He will appoint Wright his ATTORNEY GENERAL!!! Gore is the biggest 280 lb. joke in America even though his net worth has grown to over $200,000,000. in the past 8 years!!! Bless his little poor Liberal Democrat Heart!!

I would not vote for Obama from the the first time he campaigned. He has a tone in his speech that is hidden and from the time he said to fire Imus. He should not have gotten involved with the issue if he was running for President. From that moment on I did not trust him. He tells lies just as Clinton dose and know one can read between the lines. It is a shame what is going on in the Democratic Party. We must look like a third world country in the eyes of the rest of the world. He is only getting these endorsements because of Clinton. See people please be careful who you vote for. GOD BLESS AMERICA, KEEP HER SAFE AND FREE

Hello folks, I feel so good after reading your comments! Obama and Hillary really know how to insult our intelligence. The best way to defeat them (and the press) is to get everyone to the polls in November and make a difference in this country. Please remember to pray everyday for our country, for our troops, and for this presidential election...... Thanks Greta for this moment to share.

I think the democratic party is taking a huge gamble if they think Hillary Clinton supporters are going to automatically migrate to Barack Obama if he wins the nomination. This one definitely won't. Obama is WAY too liberal and his staunch pro-abortion stand, including his NO vote to the Infact Alive Protection Act to give no rights or medical treatment to babies who survive late term abortions, is very distressing to many pro-life democrats and independents. It's a line many of us will not cross. Hillary Clinton and John McCain are more moderate than too far to the left or right. Even though policies differ greatly between Clinton and McCain, it's more likely many will vote for McCain hoping he'll continue to vote his mind instead of his party as he has done in the past, than give their vote to Barack Obama.

Why Obama?
2008-04-02 23:08:33 ET

trini gal ----- No one has treated Obama more fair than Greta and O'Reilly. Granted they are not in the tank for Obama like most of
the main stream media who will cover up Obama's lies and inconsistencies, but Greta, O'Reilly and FOX News have
treated him fair and VERY TRUTHFUL. Some people on this blog seem to think that if one tells the truth about
Obama, and doesn't ignore his many, many lies, that you are against him because you are racist. Here it ... straight ...
honest ... and non bias. Most people, don't want Obama for President or his wife for first lady,
NOT because they are black, but because they have both proven themselves, beyond any doubt, to be dishonest,
socialistic, and avoid any hard venues. They never answer hard questions. They only go on programs that are in the
tank for them, and that only ask them soft ball questions. Who cares if he likes tea better than coffee or The Stones
better than the Beatles. What most people want to know why he lies so much, and why does he associate with a
bigoted, Anti American racist like Pastor Wright.

I dont think Hillary Clinton supporters are going to automatically migrate to Barack Obama if he wins the nomination. these prediction is just another way of the media trying to tell us how to vote hoping that Hilary supports what show up at the poll for her thinking she cant win, I believe the reason the media is trying to put it out there that Hilary cant win, is because she can, Hilary supports just need to showup reguardless of wheather or not she winning by the media standards... Hilary supports just show up at the polls. we can do this, dont listen to the media they are for Obama so they are going to try to make it look hopeless for Hilary.. show up and be counted.. we dont want the anti christ in the white house.

Obama is nobody's fool, and although he perhaps did not anticipate the question, he certainnly never misses an opportunity for mannipulation of the media and voters. He surely perceived that he could do no harm to his campaign by indicating that yes, he would like to consider Al Gore for a cabinet position. Omigosh, what a freebie! He gets brownie points for putting Darlin'Al on the list, it cost him nothing, Al is flattered and might lean a nod of endorsement in his direction, it doesn't hurt the feelings of the African-American population, it makes him look inclusive and "green", WOW! Win-Win situation! But what still begs to be answered is---Why has no one questioned how a pastor--Jeremiah Wright--is getting away with politicizing the pulpit of a non-profit church by endorsing Obama? I thought they stood to lose their tax-free status if they started endorsing candidates! I guess the rules are for other people.

Oh well more than a quick statement but when I get started on Obamaa I find it very hard to stop rambling on,I will vote for McCain over Obamaaa, and alll the media and papers who say in the end the democrat party will come together, they rally do a poll with less than 1000 people and like myself many people vote for the person not the party. Thanks for reading.

Obama wants to change the critical emphasis on Uncle Wright...feeding Al's ego by inviting him to join his team to help with Captain Eco only adds fuel to the standard he has set from the beginning of his campaign which is do/say/commit to anything that liberals want to hear to get their vote...if Obama becomes President, he won't have to fullfill his promises (which he knows won't FLY anyway)...he will blame others that won't pass his dumb foolery! A very unproductive precedence will be overlooked because those who voted for him will have to protect their egos with "it's the Republican's fault"...

Correction: I made a mistake, in my previous comment. I meant to say the Bible says "Beware of "Wolves in Sheeps Clothing . I am concerned about the future of our Country. Budgets, Economy, Taxes, Etc. will not be even mean a thing to the people, if the terrorist are attacking our Country. #1 priority is the safety of our Country. Everything else is 2nd. I have always been told "you have to stand up to a bully". I think that is what President Bush did and I am proud he showed the enemies we are not passive. We are living in a different world now. Unknown territory since 911. I don't want to feel uneasy in my daily walk in life. I think Mccain is real and understands the new America. Even though they are everywhere in the news, I don't really know Obama and Hillary Clinton. All I know is there is no limit to what they will do to achieve their Presidential goal. I am voting for the "real thing". McCain. I love America, Sincerely

An African American lady worked for my family since 1927. She was my best friend, we were both born and raised in New Orleans (haha, ya better believe it if you're from the North, if you're from the South you know it's true) and we went to church together at both hers and mine. She spent many nights at my family's home, and my husband and I spent many nights at Nathan & Leona's home. People don't understand that race was not an issue in the South during the 20th century until the likes of Jesse Jackson and Louis Farrakhan tried to invade us, then we told them to go away from us, no one of us felt disenfranchised. We all ate, danced, dated, had babies, went to school, worked, and lived together. We had a fiber that the radical blacks tried to penetrate. Only a few welfare babies bought into that philosophy but most of us were responsible. The South has been profiled as being racist. It's funny how today's race war is entrenched in New York and Illinois, but not so funny when you consider that race war has always been spearheaded by Northerners. Race is NOT nor it should ever be a consideration in any sane thought process. Many people scream 'David Duke!' but do not underatnad that he's not a racial bigot, he only wants people to own up to their own actions, and not depend on the liberals to play their violins. David Duke was never a racist, can you say the same about the Obama's? To further enlighten you, the word 'Dixie' comes from the French term 'dixit.' This was the Confederate currency, equivalent to $10 but much stronger than the US dollar, and THAT is why the Civil War was fought. There were loads of slaves in the North in 1860 as there were in the South. Only 9% of African slaves were imported to North America, most were exported to other countries by their slave masters in Africa. At least America liberated slaves, gave them equal opportunities and reparations in the form of free housing, food, education, health care, job opportunities, free use of the 'n' word, etc. Yes it was by virtue of slavery that thiis country was made great, no denying that. However, the worst part of slavery imaginable is mental slavery and dependence on the government for existence. This is theft of pride. What amazes me is that when African-Americans take advantage of some or all of these programs and become successful, they are labeled 'Uncle Toms' by the black community. What is an Uncle Tom and why is he so bad? I can only bang my head against the wall so long before my head explodes.

Greata,
DFhoope has never been in church. If he had, then he would understand the the way the bible reads. The prophets of the bible curse nations when they had sin. America have sined. Do you believe we are without sin. You know the history of this country and no one has every said "I AM SORRY" White people still move to another area of town when a black people moves in. Greata when you and the FOX people starts living with blacks then I will respect your words. The reason most white people are upset is because some of what Rev. Wright said was true. Some times the truth gets you upset, very upset. When america was lynching blacks, did you or your father move out of the country. NO,NO,NO you stayed, your father stayed. but you want Obama to leave his church. A church is not only the pastor, it's also the prople that goes to the church, the loving good people. Just like the loving good people that makes up this great USA. Obama is trying to make us better. I have been a republican all my life and vote of a Dem. for the first time.

Obama has done it again. Choosing Gore was as purely political as one can be. When are these candidates going to wakeup and stop their shenanigans. Between Obama kissing up to Reverend Wright, his mentor and close friend, and Hillary openly lying about the bosnia visit, is enough to make anyone sick. Is this the best America can do with choosing a president? McCain isn't that great either. Most likely a spinnoff from Bush. The way this country is going politically, it will not be long before our great politicians with their political spin and gargin flush us all down the political toilet and when that time arrives they will spend all their time and political crap explaining all the good reasons why we are being flushed away. Just like everything else in Washington. Nobody takes responsibility or can answer a simple question without playing the political game. Just bend over folks and enjoy the ride.

Greta I would like to take this opportunity to ask you a favor. Please inform the self made Conservative Republican media news stars who think that Ronald reagan is the epitome of Conservative Repuplicanism, that President Reagan was a liberal Democrat before he became a republican. He became a republican while working for The General Electric Company. After meeting so many conservative Business men he began to believe that the U. S. Government had become too big, and that it interfered too much with private business. He left the Democratic paety and became a Republican. He became a spoksman for Senator Goldwater, even though senator Goldwater lost the election Reagan became very popular among the more conservative Republicans. He ran for Governor of California in 1964 as a Republucan He had learned what he could be successful at while working at General Electric. He then benefited from the stupidity of President Nixon. Winning the Presidency was his best act because he knew how tell the people what they wanted to hear.

Greta,
Obama has ALWAYS done whatever was necessary to win his political ambitions and this is no different. Everyone knows that Gore is a major player in this and his endorsement would be a feather in the cap of either candidate!
Obama has just done the usual deceitful, politically expedient thing for him to do! Does anyone really expect anything better from Obama? If he and his family get into the White House, this country will surely suffer from his sneaky, deceitful, and often bordering criminal ways. One just has to look at who he is associated with and the damage that has been done to this country by them while Obama stood by and kept plugging away at his own agenda regardless! He is actually buying his way to the White House by buying superdelegates and major spending on advertising campaigns that are over and above what the other candidates can do, (making this finacially unfair and the Presidency of this country is up for sale???????????); that's abominable !!!!! We may be stuck with the Abominable Obamas if we aren't careful!!!!!!! This race is FIXED!

Rev. Wright has NOT officially retired and is currently listed at the church as the Senior Pastor. He has not spoken publicly since things hit the fan and caused so much trouble for Obama. Amazingly, he has coveniently been quiet, probably with a little encouragement from Obama himself or at least his camp. Rev. is scheduled to officially retire on May 31, and is moving into a mansion in a white neighborhood adjacent to a golf course! Love to know exactly how this is funded. Isn't that interesting timing about the retirement? They are waiting just long enough to see that Obama wins the nomination and then I'll bet Rev. Wright will be back in the public eye or at least back on the Obama African-American Spiritual Team or something!!! You can bet he'll have a part in his administration if Obama is elected!! The whole idea is very frightening!!! And Michelle Obama as a First Lady representing this country???? Holy Cow are we asking for trouble from every direction or what???

Obama seems pretty smooth in bringing Al Gore's magnetism to his side. Hopefully, Mr. Gore, you will not endorse Obama. If Obama gets eleced to the presidency, my opinion says that he would last only four years, and qw Americans will become more disenfranchised than ever. Voters will feel that they will have placed the wrong person in the presidential position, and anoter Republican will take over for another eight years after Obama. And in allowing Obama to rise, I can almost guarantee that we will be in a regretful position. Yes, he's a great charimatic speaker, he seems to have a good heart, but deep down, I know the Republicans will dig deeper as the months pass, and they will find more dirt on Obama, and by then, it'll be too late for us, and we'll continue to be in the rut we're in. But, but, but, if Hillary gets elected, more than likely, we will be in a better position economically, and having worked with her husband, Bill Clinton, she will continue to help us with security issues, nationally and worldwide. I truly feel this in my gut. Hillary will not disappoint us. Come on people; really study her issues, what she has doneThen we'll go back to the status quo, and yes, I'm sorry that she exaggerated the story about her military trip abroad. Hillary, you don't need to stretch the truth; we know your credentials as a Democrat. Please do not embellish anymore! Please, for the love of Democrats and for your future presidency, continue to remain outspoken, hold your ground, and we will continue to hold you in high regard for the truth. We have your back, and we're working hard to get you to the highest position in the world. Be yourself, charismatic, speak with your eyes as you look into voters' eyes, and speak compassionately as you have been. We want you to help us and our country. Many Democrats are listening to Obama with their hearts and not their minds; they're not researching the candidates. We should not vote for a candidate because his smile and looks appeal to voters. Take some time and read his "Dreams from My Father." You will think twice about voting for him.

"TYPICAL WHITE PERSON"
2008-04-03 01:42:35 ET

Obama and his followers say vote for change......don't look at race or color, yet most blacks are voting for him because he is black?? Sound like a racist remark?? 90% of the blacks in Mississippi voted for Obama. I'd like to know the stats on how many first time black voters, voted for Clinton??
I didn't like the words he used when he gave his speach when talking about his granny seeing a black man on the street. He said she acted like a "Typical White Person"????? If I said "typical black person"..........IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED A RACIST REMARK!!! I wonder how many people wish they could take back their vote after hearing what Rev. Jeremiah Wright had to say for so many years??? Obama actually looked up to him for many years!!!!!...........Hmmmmmm??!!
I think Obama is arrogant and disrespectful to Hillary Clinton!!
For the record..............I don't have too much faith in any of the candidates.

Come on people let him take his own responsibilitiy for his actions. What Bill or Geraldine or anyone else has said or done is not Hillary. She is a great mother, wife, and friend and will be the Greatest asset to America if we would just stick to the issues that matter....What has she personally done that has physically harmed anyone grow up and see the light haters. What do you think is gonna happen if Obama were to win? Haven't you seen and heard enough drama dang we don't need riots and more racist beliefs shoved down our throats we need action against terrorist, the war, inflation, healthcare, housing and economics real issues, not "white folks owe us for what happened to our great, great, great, great grandparents"

It's amazing to me that Obama would want Gore when he criticizes Bill Clinton's time as President and Al Gore was the Vice President. Go figure!! it also amazes me how people only want to remember the Monica scandal from Bill, and forget how GOOD our economy was when he was President!! So our EX president cheated. GET OVER IT! If you look at the statistics on how many married people cheat on their spouses with someone at work, it might just surprise you! I guess he was HUMAN.

This also makes me wonder if the Anti-Christ has come, but I know the Anti-christ will come out of the EU. I also know the EU will take over the global government in end times and I wonder how can the USA let this happen and this might be the result. Wake up America!! Once the nominee is chosen and if it is Obama, I can't wait to hear what the Republicans have on Obama. I bet it will be good and then all you Obama supporters will be crying all over the networks---What have we done?

honest
2008-04-03 01:51:40 ET

Victoria... Just because there is finally one network that will not lie for politicians, doesn't mean that network is
conservative. I realize lying is the trade mark of being Liberal, but just because some people and, finally, one network
that will not cover up liberal lies like the other network,s doesn't mean those people or FOX is anything other than
completely FAIR. I don't know where liberals got the idea that if you are not a lying A-Hole, you are a conservative.
Liberals like you seem to think, if you won't lie for liberals, or cover up for liberal's lies you are a right winger...... That
is not true, we are just honest. I realize honesty is a new concept to you, and you have NEVER tried it, but you should.
Once you take on honesty as a part of life, you WILL become a conservative.

I read some of the comments and it's the same racist mentality, that a black must be crooked, evil, etc. I see Obama as a professional, a family man, and a decent human being who does not look at race as an issue. Everyone needs to really look at the choices of candidates and rid yourself of your hatred. Otherwise this world is in a lot of trouble.

If you want truth, you're not going to get it. Any politician will say whatever it takes to become elected!! Once they are in office, all bets are off.

People say America is not ready for a woman president. Why not women? Aren't we ready for equal pay or equal rights? Maybe we should just stay at home barefoot and pregnant, huh? Statistically, there are more women in the world than men. Women need to unite and let THEIR VOICES be heard.

Let's show our daughters that a woman REALLY can do anything a man can!

Raped-----no---when was that?

Bill Lies
2008-04-03 02:40:33 ET

Tammy****** Can you handle the truth? Bill said there was nothing to Jennifer Flowers, but, after the tapes, he admitted it. Bill said he did not
have sex with that woman Monica Lewinski, but after his sperm was found on her dress, he admitted it. Then there is Miss Jones, and
Ms Willy, and who knows how many more he threatened, that would have come out if not for fear of his wrath. If I worked
with you, you would probably sue me for sexual harassment if I told you at work, you had a nice A s s. If, as a feminist and a
woman you are not disgusted with a pig likeBill Clinton, then you are neither a feminist nor a woman, you are just a pig like Bill.

DEAR RAPED.......ARE YOU 100% POSITIVE THAT WILLEY WAS RAPED?? Rape is sometimes hard to prove..............I know it happens all the time.
ARE YOU SURE?? WERE YOU THERE?? Why wasn't he convicted? If I were raped, I'd call 911 right away, report it to the police, then go to the hospital, then I'd try my damndest to scrub the filth off of me...............then I'd probably need a shrink to get me back on track.

Tammy
2008-04-03 02:46:05 ET

Bill lies-----I do not know and haven't heard of these names..I barely remember hearing about Flowers. Of course i heard of Monica. He cheated and got caught. As for the other women, I don't know anything about them. So this is why everyone Hates Hillary?

Hillary does not care
2008-04-03 02:53:55 ET

To Tammy:>>>> No one in their right mind can live with a man like Bill Clinton for as many years as Hillary has lived with that pig, and
not know what he has been up to. Hillary knew, but did nothing to help all those woman. Hillary was so intent on
getting personal power and position, she ignored all feminist principles. Hillary said nothing, and allowed Bill to
continue with his womanizing, philandering and woman harassing ways. Hillary cares nothing for other women, only her
own personal power. If Hillary was a caring honest woman, she would never let any man get away with all the crap Bill
did. Hillary is just another political whore.

Tammy
2008-04-03 02:58:56 ET

to Hillary does not care----I am asking again if you will tell me----besides monica because I remeber that---what did he do to these women and when was it?

Nikki ... why wasn't he convicted? For Christ’s sakes ... he is Bill Clinton and she was just another (victim) woman that
worked for him, and Hillary wouldn't say a word. She has been like that for years. She didn't care about the flow of women he went through, she had her eye on her prize.

Tammy ***** You must be very young not to know all those names as soon as they are mentioned. If you are not very young,
then you have been sleeping for 30 years. Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willy, Monica Lewinski. Do a
yahoo search. You will find many hits, some on left wing sites that cover for Bill and some on right wing sites that hold
him accountable, and some in news stories that danced around allot. It is very hard to nail down very powerful rich
people like a governor or president. To many people are afraid of what will happen to them if they get on the bad side
of a bad vengeful man like Bill.

Bill Clinton said there was nothing to Jennifer Flowers, until she played her phone message tapes, then he
admitted it. He said there was nothing to Monica, until the blue dress, then he admitted it. I've never said Bill was stupid
and left evidence at all of his crimes, I said he was a disgusting pig. He lies and lies and lies until he knows he can't continue lying about. It's a game to him, he cares not for a woman’s rights. I
don't think he even thinks of women as people. Woman are just tools for his pleasure whether they want to be part of it or not.
Hillary knew about everyone, and did nothing. Hillary is as vile as Bill.

DA's are afraid
2008-04-03 03:58:20 ET

No one can be so naive as to think that an attorney, even the head attorney of a little district, would not worry about what
would happen to his career if he lost against a rich, powerful, vengeful man like Bill. How many times do rich, powerful
men get busted? Would you want to be the attorney that lost a case against Bill Clinton. You would be done, forever.
Every District attorney thinks of that kind of stuff when confronted with a case against the rich and powerful. That is
why so many get off. You need their DNA before they will even admit they got a BJ. Just think of how many rich
people get off, that aren't even powerful. How about OJ Simpson, or Robert Blake. These men murdered, with tons of
evidence against them and still got off. How about if they also had power. If you were the district attorney you would
be done. District attorneys have the choice to bring a case or not. Against a man like Bill, they usually choose , NOT,
out of fear for their own career or worse.

I have high regard for Al Gore. I pray to God that he won't be like Kennedy and swoon at the feet of His Highness Obama.

Greta - I am a Dem. but I won't watch CNN or MSNBC (except Dobb's) because they are so bias for Obama. The man scares me! I watch you and O'Reilly because you don't kiss Obama's a--. I hope that Hillary can pull this out, it's such a uphill battle with the bias media. I think she would be a good President who cares deeply about this country. As far as Bill Clinton, he has made some mistakes and hopefully learned from them. What happened was between Bill and Hillary. I believe he could be a great asset in domestic and foreign affairs because my husband and I travel a great deal oversea's and he is thought of every highly. They consider he to be one of our best President's ever......As far as Obama, of course he is reaching for an endorsement, but Al Gore isn't stupid enough to get in the middle of this mess.

I wonder since Gore has been V.P. once, is there any rule that Gore could be V.P. two times.
Obama is using Gore as bate to get votes.

I've been saying all along that I don't trust Barack Osama, oops, I mean Obama. He is truly a professional dodger of tough questions. How could the public let the situation with his pastor just simply fade away. I guarantee that the republicans won't forget about it. He is sucking up to Al Gore not only trying to win his endorsement, but also he knows that the Democratic Party could replace both him and Hillary Clinton with Al Gore in a heartbeat. The way the democrats have been trashing each other, my opinion is that Al Gore is the only democrat with the slightest chance of winning back the White House. If Barack Obama somehow becomes President, which I think is next to impossible, the country will look a lot different within 4 years than it does now, and I don't mean in a positive way. This is a lifelong democrat saying go John McCain.

Those who see B Obama they are the ones that the lens on their eyes was turn black that turns in that color so they called him as a black candidate especially for the African American voter predominantly races in reality in every state that are blacks. Obama just ride on it too even though he is not that balck, His parents are mix and he choose to join that church that make him popular to blacks for his ambition to run as president knowing that he has no credibility and integrity and accomplishments to solve the most serious problems of the country to proved that he can only for being a black as these voters say to vote for him cannot even say one of his accomplishments in his entire life. Most of it that he says anywhere from book to campaign speeches are all bold lies. Maybe if you remember some religious books from catholics it shows a pictures of a person showed that when we see it looks like an angel but the ghost behind a blard color white showed the person same on his face were having a two thorns on his head and a tail on the back and smiling whenever he made a speech to people that he can get and that is what happen on this election. People vote for Obama looks that he is their guy as they think not knowing that person is not as truthful as he is. He is playing with you. Obama playing the rules just to get you but the reality he will forget what he says, moslty politician do that.

canceled out
2008-04-03 15:05:46 ET

If you are a preacher and you say 10 good things and 5 bad things, the 10 good things do NOT cancel out the 5
bad things. However, the 5 bad things DO cancel out the 10 good things. One does not need to listen to all of Pastor
Wrght's sermons, because they are canceled out by the terrible, racist Anti American hatred he spews through out those
hateful sermons which he lightly sprinkles a few good things.
