Okay Fox news, as a faithful viewer of Fox, I am deeply disappointed about your headline on Steven Tyler and Carrieunderwood.
Any fool can see that this was planned. By the way, if you are so determined to start by printing such stupid things about people, how about the fact that Carrie Underwood is the one who blew Steven Tyler a Kiss......Oops!!! Guess you didn't see that!!!!!!!

Starting to realize guess Fox would do anything to get ratings or whatever else you may need...

Another Thing, whoever thinks Steven Tyler is gross, you're nuts.....I'd kiss him any day of the week and he's 30 years older.

  • Wanda - 13 years ago

Fox you have disappointed me. Now really anyone could see that this was part of their performance!!!! By the way if I had the chance to kiss Steven Tyler you better believe me when I say.........No way I would have back out!!'

  • Anita - 13 years ago

I would have kissed him back- I don't care how old he is, he's still HOT!

  • Peggy - 13 years ago

Steven is an absolute music icon and in time Carrie will be as well.......they did an outstanding job and there was nothing offensive about their performance. My opinion, it would be great to see them hook-up, for a few duet's........by far, best performance of the evening!!

  • jo bushyhead - 13 years ago

it was awesome..... but can;t stand carrie understood.....she acts like to good for everyone....you know she acts to upty

  • Diana - 13 years ago

The entire performance was totally planned. And if anyone actually watched it (I did like 20 times), Carrie puckered up first. I am jealous, he is hot. I am 37 and know many women from their 20s to their 60s who love Steven.

  • Badster - 13 years ago

Well its what happens on stage is not shocking really, however, obviously its dangerous behavior if your married. Its the innocent flirting that starts it off. She is dressed like a ho. I'm glad its not my wife, I'm just saying its a mirror of our society. We have a 6 of 10 divorce rate in the first five years. Need I say more.

  • Donna - 13 years ago

To all the Steven Tyler bashers...

Steven Tyler happens to be one of the most talented musicians of our time..
(Yes, even at his age!) and Ms. Carrie Underwood could only imagine in her
wildest dream that he would even want to kiss her! Oh and lets not forget the
multitude of different instruments that he taught himself to play at a young age
that most artists could not accomplish in several lifetimes.

  • Brad - 13 years ago

I am conservative, but seriously, why even have this silly poll. This act is about as close to offensive as our commander-in-chief is to reality.

  • Cullmanco - 13 years ago

Not sure if it was planned or not, but I do know that Carrie Underwood will be wishing one day that she would've taken that kiss while she had the opportunity! Very few women would pass that kiss up, married or not! If Carrie's husband couldn't look over that, she doesn't need to be with him! Steven Tyler is a legend!

When does an ugly rock star rate sharing the stage with one of the most beautiful, talented female Country stars ever? His song, or his looks, did nothing for any True Country Fan. He had no place anywhere near THAT stage! He should take a lesson from Kid Rock. Until he can fix himself up,and learn to sing without looking like he's trying to eat the microphone, he should stay in the drug culture of Rock! He fits there, not in Country.

  • Mark - 13 years ago

Fox news you are retarded! This is the worst story ever. This didn't even look like he was even trying to kiss her. Why does the media try and create more crap then there already is? Where did she even make the so called "ew face" ?

  • Denise CS - 13 years ago

It was obviously a completely planned on stage antic. Getting older happens so big deal. Steven should keep performing as long as possible, it will keep him young at heart. Besides, he is still an awesome performer and I loved this performance as much as or more than I loved his performances in my teens back in the 70s. Keep it up Steven! We love it!

  • John - 13 years ago

Brenda. No way it was planned. If so, she would of given him a "little kiss." Luckily she didn't and I could still eat dinner.

  • John - 13 years ago

Its not a BIG deal, but definately a little gross. Tyler should know better.

  • Brenda - 13 years ago

I do not think you seen right, there is nothing of the sort that happened offensively
    look very planned and appropriate
Go back and watch the vedeo

    Thank you

  • jamie - 13 years ago

take it for what is was intended for...entertainment. Wasn't that a part of the song about getting a kiss? Come on they blew the crowd away, and I think they were on the money when they said, Steve went a little country and Carrie went a little rock n roll. It was fun and super enteraining, I loved it.

  • Karen Faria - 13 years ago

I really wanted to vote for harmless antics, but also kinda gross!

  • Nuonda105 - 13 years ago

I'm a huge fan of American Idol, Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler. I watched the video and it looks to me like it was a planned "air kiss". I love you FOX but this really disappoints me that you would write this headline to make something out of nothing. Come on! Keep it real!!

  • sandee - 13 years ago

I think it was great!! Why try to report something so stupid! My God, the two are singers doing a show. If she would have given him a real smooch who cares. I've been married 40 years, I'd give him a kiss anyday.

  • Cathryn - 13 years ago

Why does the media try to scoop up and falsify EVERYTHING? It's called acting folks. This is why they are so popular. I have seen some of Carrie's latest songs and there is more to critize that anything last night. She gets pretty gross some of the time! Like I said folks,
it's show business and acting! If you don't like it, don't watch. And, while I'm getting my
two cents worth in, I was NOT going to watch American Idol this year! I am SOOOO
glad I caved in! It is the 'best' so far and I think alot of it has with using top notch
professional music singers and have been in the true music for ever! The kids are the
greatest ever and it is going to be a very tough trying to pick your favorite and it is the
judges that have brought us this talent!

  • Heather Ellis - 13 years ago

Completely agree with all the comments above. Fox you have it all wrong take this article off. It was planned and they were being playful. There was nothing wrong with what went on. give us a break.

  • MWC - 13 years ago

This was the highlight of the night! You kidding me!

  • Rita - 13 years ago

That performance of Carrie with her backside showing halfway through the show sure made me take a total different look at her and her music. Wonder what her husband thought of that.

Like someone said When is it ever going to be country music again. It was more of a rock show. Going farther and farther away from country everyday

  • DV - 13 years ago

Totally hyped for no good reason...it was just playful and meant to tease the crowd...and it worked.

  • Brian - 13 years ago

Come on... just playing around. Didn't look weird to me. Great performance by both!

  • mydog2 - 13 years ago

All in fun. Can anyone see that, gee. Foxnews grow up.

  • tiff - 13 years ago

Really, it's a song that's not very "clean" to begin with... So the fake stage smooch seems a non issue! :)

  • AT - 13 years ago

I just wanted to see the song.

Why does there always seem to be "kiss" controversy in music award shows? Grow up folks.

  • Bret - 13 years ago

This is a non-issue, and Fox only published an article about it to promote "American Idol" which it owns. Even if they had kissed (which would have been more entertaining) it would still be a non-issue.

@Staci "he's more than twice her age. By definition, that's gross.":

Really? I'm 42 and kiss my nieces all of the time. They are under 10, so that makes me more than 4 times their age. And they love it. Whenever I drive up they will run full speed from wherever they are just to give me hugs and kisses. Is that gross by definition?

Whatever. I still dig Fox and expect them to self-promote. The vid was cool, and I wouldn't have seen it if you guys hadn't posted it. TY

  • Michael - 13 years ago

Rock and Roll has its roots in CW Bluegrass and Gospel, and a little soul thrown in. It was well done and it flowed with the songs lyrics, after all he is just begging her to 'Walk this way' and give him a 'little kiss'. A young man's dream when he see's a lovely lady.
    No more, No less
I like them both as performers.

  • Dan - 13 years ago

I'm sure he has had much younger women! I'm 60 with an 18y/o girlfriend. Keeps me young and warm!

  • Staci - 13 years ago

Just because something is planned and non-offensive doesn't make it non-gross. Stage antics or not, he's more than twice her age. By definition, that's gross.

  • Jesse - 13 years ago

I too did not see anything offensive about this... clearly all rehearsed and just living the moment. And if she did kiss him what then, its not like it would have been romantic in any way... I too thought Foxnews was above the rest when it came to printing gossip and garbage like this!

  • Christy - 13 years ago

Old geezer?!!! Are you kidding me?!!!! I would have planted a kiss on him in a heartbeat. They did a mind-blowing job! GO STEVEN & CARRIE!

  • jaigieese - 13 years ago

Um? Was the "reporter" watching the same video as we were? I saw NOTHING that was not planned and was not willingly participated in by both parties. This "story"is an insult to Steven Tyler and to all older folk. I have noticed an increasing trend on the part of younger folk to paint their elders as gross old perverts. It is disgusting and insensitive. These kids these days.

PLEASE, FOX. Do not engage in this kind of crap.

  • Thecommd - 13 years ago

HE's a Rock Star.... She's a country singer..... It's his song... She sang with him..
I am Glad to see him Getting back on stage instead of doing That Idol crap....
She should have layed one on him... Think of the News that would have made...
Keep Rockin' Steven and Aerosmith !!!!!!!

  • pepelepu - 13 years ago

Non-news . . . was anyone actually thinking about this before someone decided to make an issue of it? Got the interns running the website Fox? Perhaps the final nail in the coffin on how I feel about the "Fair and Balanced" news network. To think, I used to be an avid watcher . . . you've lost me on so many fronts. This one absolutely takes the cake!

  • evidyks - 13 years ago

@ Swinampfox54 - when people realize how good Jamey Johnson is & start giving him his due! in my humble opinion, Jamey is what real country music is!

  • CW - 13 years ago

    Couldn't get a real story?

  • givemeabreak - 13 years ago

Please! its all prehearsed good innocent fun there was no vulgarities what so ever. get over it. i think it was great energy from them and the audience loved it. it was the first time and only time during the show that the audience came alive.

  • Swampfox54 - 13 years ago

When is Country music going to be Country music again?

  • Swampfox54 - 13 years ago

When is Country music going to be Country music again?

  • B-Bro - 13 years ago

Get a life, harmless and really it only looked as part of the act really why was this even a topic.

  • John - 13 years ago

Completely planned - I was kind of surprised of the description in this article when I actually viewed it... she puckered, too, and opened wide while steven stayed tight at the same exact instant... if that's not planning, I'm not sure what is...

  • cileford - 13 years ago

Let us keep this real!! It was nothing to it but on stage antics....and she was the first to try to get a kiss anyway!! Fox News has always called it stright, in my estimation...lets not start calling it wrong on something as "trivial" as this!! Gee'ze!! I don't know why I'm even leaving a comment on this, except for the fact that it just starts silly crap about silly people in silly situations and that could apply to anyone...even people that live all up inside their own world. It could even apply to me & you. Just say'en.
