Mrs. McCain would make a fine 1st lady. She loves her Country and doesn't have the hate and anger inside her that obviously Mrs. Obama does. I just dread the thought of Mrs O being in our Whitehouse. What would she be drilling into the minds of the young and innocent. Just listening to her now is enough!
Mrs. McCain would be a great first lady and represent
the class that we need in the White House. Just like
Laura Bush has done for President Bush.
Either of the ladies would represent this country well with my preference and a slight edge in favor of Mrs. McCain. I would be embarrassed to have the disbarred former President represent this country in any official capacity.
I think Mrs. McCain is by far the classiest of this group.
Mrs. McCain would make a fine 1st lady. She loves her Country and doesn't have the hate and anger inside her that obviously Mrs. Obama does. I just dread the thought of Mrs O being in our Whitehouse. What would she be drilling into the minds of the young and innocent. Just listening to her now is enough! x2
Mrs. Mc Cain seems sweet and confident instead of loud and obnoxious like Mrs. O. Dear God I pray all day that she dont get in.
This is an obvious choice; Cindy McCain is an excellent lady and anyone who will stop and think about what this position demands will agree. Our nation's image around the world is at stake
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD---- I can not imagine a worse image in the White House than Michelle Obama, with that "I drank a gallon of vinegar and I'm taking you on!" scowl!!!!!!!! Cindy McCain is a gracious and beautiful woman that is cut out for the job of hostess and First Lady of our White House.
Mrs. Obama scares me. It's too bad she hasn't been proud of her country--I guess she didn't feel like doing anything for 25 years to change that. We all know the former president, Bill, will not conduct himself decently-so this should be a no brainer. Cindy McCain is a classy person who would serve us well, as Laura Bush does, out of the polical spotlight, just doing good and representing America. The First Spouse should not be involved in policy.
GOD help us all if oboma gets in.
Do we really want Bill Clinton romping in the Whitehouse bedroom again?
Mrs. McCain would be a lovely First Lady who would make us proud. Mrs. Obama would make a horrible First Lady, considering she hates whites and has said she is not proud of America! Ex-President Clinton couldn't keep his pants on when he was working in the Oval office, so I cannot fathom what he might do with the focus on her instead of him.
How anyone could think that Michele Obama would be a good representative of the United States is beyond me. She hates this country, and believes exactly the way that her former pastor believes. Bill Clinton would not be much better - he bad-mouths this country all over the world.
This is a real no brainer! Only Cindy McCain has the poise, charm and intelligence to be our country's First Lady here and abroad.
I agree with Corrine, I heard Mrs. O on Larry King talking about what a powerful platform she would have as First Lady for her agenda, but would not say what that agenda was. I think we have all heard now her outlook and the influence she has been under.
No thanks.
Mrs. McCain would definitely make the best First Lady. She was proud of her country when we won every battle in the Vietnam War, while people like Mrs. Obama were making sure that we didn't win the Vietnam War.
I guess I am just a Clinton fan. Yes former Pres. Clinton made bad judgements with his personal life, but the economy with him was good, he gives talks all over the country and he is very charismatic. I think Hillary would be sure to keep him in line and make sure he didn't harm her presidential term. Plus his experience would be a huge advantage.
Mrs. McCain is very sophisticated and remains above all the turmoil. I really think how utterly horrible it would be for Mrs. Hussien Obama to live in the White House after she has expressed so much hate for the United States and white people. What a black day in America that would be. Bill would be having sex in the White House and I think we have had enough of that kind of disrespect for our country's capitol.
Mrs. McCain is beautiful but reminds me of the Ice Queen. Bill Clinton would keep trying to upstage Hillary -- not good for Hillary or the country.
I would do mcaines wife...
Mrs. Oboma isn't bought and doesn't want to be
GOOOOOOOOOOOO BILL. I recall when he was in office that our economy was by far in the best shape EVER. He certainly didn't leave us in DEBT! People need to wake up~!
how stupid. of course Bill is the right choice. common sense. whether you r a dem or rep, he got the experience of the presidency. how could you deny that? obviously, the viewers of fox would sway away from bill. this is propaganda.
No contest. Billary in a landslide!
Mrs. Oboma isn't bought and doesn't want to be
I look forward to having a first lady with a different perspective. I think Ms. Obama will be a fabulous first lady. She strikes me as someone that many of us can relate to and I welcome the refreshing change she will bring to the position.
I really am not sure how anyone can think Mrs. Obama could make a good first lady, she has already said bad things about this country many times so i just do not see how people can even believe that. Former President Clinton has already made a bad impression with what type of man he is. I would not want him representing the United States again.
President Clinton always had a prestigious presence in the World the countries around the World felt he was fair, he listened, he just knew how to treat people. He would be the best choice for sure.
Mrs McCain is showing the same kind of class that Mrs Bush has shown. Whatever one might thing of President Bush we must acknowledge that Mrs Bush is a classy, funny, smart lady.
Mrs McCain seems to be very much the same.
VERY WELL STATED CORRINE
I agree with Corrine about Mrs. Obama. She just has too bad an attitude about America todo anything positive for our country. However, I think Mrs. McCain appears to be shy and withdrawn as I haven't heard anything from her. I think it's obvious that Former President Clinton would be the best spouse because he is doing so much good for our country now.
Who would make a better Spouse to the President, other than a former President? Already knows all the ropes, and has held the highest position in the World. Who could compare with a dynamic force.
C'mon! President Clinton hands down! It would be historic to have a former President in the role of "First Spouse'! He's already done such great work with the 1st President Bush in helping with Katrina and all the humanitarian work he does around the world. I think he would be great!
Ms Obama is an American hater, and we all know about Mr. Clinton. Mrs McCain is a true lady and will fill the responsibility with grace and dignity.
Who would make a better Spouse to the President, other than a former President? Already knows all the ropes, and has held the highest position in the World. Who could compare with a dynamic force.
Mrs. Obama will make the worst first lady ever. Mrs. McCain the best followed by Mr. Clinton
An Obama white house would be devastating to this country. God help us if he gets elected. Betty
No doubt that Mrs. McCain would make the best first lady.
Clearly, Mrs. McCain! She's not only a beauty, but you can tell she has good breeding. If she's not a class act, she does an excellent job of faking it. I like Bill Clinton, personally, but he just has too much negative baggage (i.e. his infamous "zipper" problem).
ARE YOU KIDDING MRS. MCAINE...PEOPLE WAKE UP PRESIDENT CLINTON IT SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER....AND BY THE WAY I WOULD NOT WANT MICHELLE OBAMA SLEEPING IN MY DOG HOUSE LET ALONE THE WHITE HOUSE..
hey, what has happened to michelle obama.... has she been sent to some deserted island with rev. wright? its as if she is not around anymore.
I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT MRS. MCCAIN, BUT I'M SURE SHE'D BE A WONDERFULLY GRACIOUS REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE UNITED STATES. JUST LIKE LAURA BUSH.
Mrs. McCain....this is a no brainer question! Can you amagine Bill roaming the halls of the White House again. And Michelle....give be a break!
Who wouldn't want President Clinton in the same room when Hillary
got the call at 3:00. I would not have respect for Michele Obama if
she was the first lady.
mrs. mcCain would definately make a better first lady than obama's wife. i cannot imagine the damage to the country obama would do.
It's gotta be Bill. He does so much for this Country and the World now. He would be awesome as First Husband. Mrs. McCain is good too but I remember when she got in trouble for stealing from a Charity she started. She admitted it when she was caught then admitted a drug problem. They may be over now but stresses of First Lady could set her back.
Mrs. McCain, she is a classy lady who would represent the United States in a classy way.
Mrs. Obama, she seems to be PO'd at the country that has given her a lot to be thankful for.
Bill Clinton has made millions bad mouthing the US all over the world for money.
Mrs Mccain hands down.
Mrs. Mccain has always felt proud of her country and will defend her country
as her husband did. The media does not favor her due to the loud battle of
the Democrats and the many lies they are employing to get elected.
I believe that Mrs McCain would be the best first lady. I would be afraid if Bill Clinton went back there for he may find another Monica, and I'm not joking. As far as Mrs Obama, I feel she would not be first lady material.
Can't imagine wanting the galavanting Bill in the White House. Mrs Obama has
just started loving the USA and that's sad.
I agree. We need someone who is proud of our country and it's people, not someone who tears us down. Mrs. McCain is that person.
Michelle Obama scares me as she seems rather militant in her view of race, which i find divisive, and Mr. Clinton could only be considered a spouse in the loosest sense of the word. He was and no doubt continues to be a disgrace as a husband and father, and he was one of the most disgraceful, immoral leaders to ever curse the Whitehouse, and I for one do not want to have to live through that again. He is sick and will doubtless repeat his behavior time and time again.
Mrs. McCain would fit the bill......very elegant, poised and a PROUD AMERICAN!! Who would want a first lady who "in the "first time in her life she is proud to be an American "and the other contender having a "problem with her memories as a former first lady and a cheat" for a spouse....Lets bring this country back to being proud, strong and God Bless US!
Bill Clinton and Mrs. Obama support the American Holocaust in which 60 million innocent babies have been slaughtered 10 times as many as the Nazis killed in Germany.
i sure hope it is not mrs. obama, she will put this country back 100 years. i cannot believe the prople backing obama. he is what his middle name implies. and she is anti american. i hope the american voters smarten up.
Mrs. McCain will best represent the US as first lady. She is classy and loves her country. Obama's wife would be the worst first lady the country has ever had. God help us!
Mrs. McCain is absolutely the top choice! She's gracious and supportive and would make a fine first lady. Her love of animals reveals her good heart, too.
I loved the interview Greta did some months back!
Corrine
your right we can have "those" people as wait staff but not as first lady. how dare "those" people think they can became masters.... its april and your a fool
just admit the race hatred now and save money on head docs later.
---werejag out
Mrs. McCaine makes the most sense.
Mrs. Obama may not be sure she feels comfortable being an American, and the former President Clinton would be too distracted in the White House.
I know who I DON'T want in the White House! Michelle Obama!!! Cindy McCain or Bill Clinton win hands down over the Obama's!
Former President Clinton would do an awesome job, as long as he keeps
his zipper up, and pants on.
No contest...Mrs. McCain would do the best job :)
I think that Mrs. Obama would make a very fine first lady. She is Senator Obama's wife and mother of his children, and do think he would make an excellent President of the U. S. I believe that Michelle Obama is proud to be an American. I'm certain that she's not proud of some of the things that have happened to African Americans in America, but I know she has to be proud of her accomplishments in this country. I think some people just look for ways to twist what either Michelle or Barack says. Both are great people and very capable of carrying out the roles of President and first lady.
The fact that Mrs.Obama found nothing to be proud of in this country makes her a poor representative FOR this country. Former President Clinton would probably not be taken seriously as "first husband" so he's out. I think Mrs.McCain would be a classy first lady from what I can tell so far.
I think it will be refreshing to see Mrs. Obama and her children in the White House. She is an intelligent lady!
Oh my goodness, Bill Clinton would be dreadful since he was such a womanizer as president.
Is this the forum where I can find out why my balls itch so bad?
Like Mrs. Bush, Cindy McCain has the grace and confidence to make the whole country proud and she would make a wonderful first lady.
Neither being anti-American or having perverted experience count for ANYTHING when it comes to leadership support!
MRS Mccain is class act. The other two are a big joke.
Mrs. McCain would do the best for our country.
Mrs. McCain is the right choice to be America's First Lady. Her country is dear to her. Mrs.Obama doesn't deserve to be our First Lady...She is only proud of it because what it can do for her husband and for her.
Mrs. McCain reminds me of a blonde Jackie O, very refined and graceful. She would make a wonderful First Lady!
Mrs. McCain is by far the classiest of the group. She looks like a first lady!
Bill Clinton would be the best representative, hands down. If your poll finds for Mrs. McCain (a fine lady, but with minimal experience compared to Mr. Clinton), it's because of the conservative bias of your audience.
I think Bill Clinton has the experience to be in the White House again to help Hillary much better than cheney has helped bush. More than Obama's wife or McCain's wife. McCain's wife seems to be spaced out everytime I see her. She looks like a Stepford wife doesn't she?
Former President Bill Clinton would make a great 1st Man.
I am disappointed to here such small minds talk about Mrs. Obama and questioning her love for the country. Is it becuase she is well spoken, well educated and passionate about what injustices she see's taking place that have people scarred to hear are perspective that is not "politcally correct" .
I have no doubt that she loves this country and all the things that it is, was and can be. When will we learn as a society that there are things in this country that happen that make us ashamed and at the same time things that we do as a nation that makes us proud. A true patriot learns to love and embrace the good and the bad. And find their place where they can make a postive change.
Mrs. Obama will be that in the White House.
Well...this is a NO BRAINER. The only sane choice is Mrs. McCain! We've already had a taste of Bill Clinton - Mr. - I Lied Through My Teeth To A Grand Jury and Got Away With It. And then... Mrs. Obama – I support my Reverend’s sentiments and pretty much stated that over an open microphone.
Mrs. McCain is a former admitted drug addict. does anyone ever notice that she has nothing to say? Former President Clinton has a reputation of being a womanizer and a liar and odds are that he will not change. Listen to the intelligence of the articulate Mrs Obama and ask yourself honestly wouldn't you prefer, as I would to have her represent you and America.
Mrs. McCain would make a terrific first lady. She carries herself with confidence and grace and would proudly represent our country.
This is pretty easy from my point of view and past observations. Mrs McCain seems gentle and kind and would be an impressive First Lady just like Laura Bush.
Mrs. McCain would surely be a credit to our country. Mrs Obama is a disgrace, loud mouthed know it all , or think she does. We have enought of these people already. I pray for this nation to come to it senses.
mrs MCAIN. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD WANT BARACK osama , woops, OBAMA IN THE WHITE HOUSE.
Cindy McCain stands out, head and shoulders above the alternatives.
Wow...I think the candidates and spouses' roles should be reversed, other than the Clintons. Disregard them! Mrs. Mcain is awesome wherever she is present.
M. Obama is anti-american & not very proud of the country where so many gave so much to protect our freedoms. Bill will be too busy chasing skirts while his wife slowly turns our country into a socialism.Mrs McCain, like her husband is patriotic & will do what's best for our country.
I think Mrs. McCain would make an excellent first lady, carrying on the tradition of many of our finest first ladies, including Jackie Kennedy.
Mrs. Obama has a different agenda, but I don't think I like it.
I think we have had enough of Bill Clinton and his ineptitude. Enough is enough.
Let's see,,,I have never been proud of my country,,,,I only stayed with my husband so I can use him to get to the white house,,,I have always been proud of my country,,, hmmmmm!
Neither Obama would represent what this country stands for. For the first time ever, I'm extremely concerned with the direction this country is headed. Mrs. Obama being proud to be an American for the first time? Give me a break.
I pray to God that John McCain wins for the sake of every legal American.
With Slick Willy being known world wide as a liar and a womanizer, and Mrs Obama quickly rising in the ranks of America's most disgruntled citizen, how can any of these compare to Mrs. McCain. If anyone has a right to be upset with the history of thier country, she does. Her husband was taken and brutalized for 5 years. My father was a career Army vietnam vet and I lived through my mother watching the news evey night and raisin 3 kids on her own while worrying about her husband. How can we even think of having an American bashing, angry woman who doesn't realize how lucky she is to be an American to be the first lady?
Let's see,,,I have never been proud of my country,,,,I only stayed with my husband so I can use him to get to the white house,,,I have always been proud of my country,,, hmmmmm!
Mrs McCain is by far the classiest of ladies, Mrs Obama has a hard time keeping her mouth shut, and Bill Clinton has a hard time keeping his temper under control.
mr clinton would be the best no way on ms obama if sen clinton doesn't win i will change parties and vote mcCain we as americans will never forget 911 nor will we forget rev wright
Mrs. Obama is such a divisive person it would be a great tragedy if she were to be in the Whitehouse. Since she is not proud of to be an American for the past 20 or so years how could she represent America as first lady. I shudder to think that might happen.
I am so praying for Mrs McCain to be our first lady. I don't trust the Clintons or Obama's. They are dishonest and as far as I'm concerned only looking for power.
Think about this, a man, Bill Clinton as first lady, we woud be a laughing stock to the rest of the world, as well as controlling the White House as Mr/Mrs. Clinton.
Ms. O would not be someone I would think could possibly give a good impression of America. She is rather brash and unfashionable.
This is for a.butler. Bill clinton oh yeah so prestigious? NOT! He could chase women is all. Hillary could not keep him in line hten what makes anyone think she can now. Mcain is the ONLY sensible choice! Ms Obama hates all to do with this country!
Bill Clinton would obviously be the best choice of representation. He's well-spoken, intelligent, charismatic, likeable and and effective speaker.
Mrs McCain would be a far 2nd choice. But she is very pretty and seems very nice. God forbid Obama won, he would need to get a divorce from Michelle or get her a muzzle.
If this is our choices, then Ms. Obama, she not a fake, Bill, what can I say (any woman will do), Ms McCain, she looks to sterile.
Cindy McCain compliments her husband and is nothing but class!
I think everyone should think again on how they voted. Obama's wife only now loves America, I believe that Mrs. McCain had an addiction problem and even though Bill Clinton had his personal problems he was a great president and it did not affect his leadership and the ecomony was great back then. He will be a great asset to Hillary when she is elected.
Former President Bill Clinton has done one heck of a job reaching across party lines to partner with former President George Bush to make a difference for Katrina victims through the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund. He is a prominent supporter of Brad Pitt's Make It Right NOLA foundation, and many other non-profits who have done so much more for the folks in New Orleans and the Gulf than the current Bush Administration has. I expect he will continue to work on this and similar public service projects, and his intelligence, kind heart and past experience will continue to be a plus for Americans -- whether he is in the White House or not.
I think Bill and Hill will be too busy getting this country out of the mess that has been created to worry about a beauty contest.
Please don't put Mrs. O in the White House!!!! Or her husband!!!! Cindy McCain has had a good deal of problems in the past, but seems like a classy lady. Bill made a lot mistakes while in the White House, but so have a good many other presidents! Anybody but the Obama,s.
Couldn't we just keep Laura Bush? She has been the best first lady in my life time and I am nearly 70 years old.
GRETA,
WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT MRS MCCAIN OR MRS OBAMA IN THE WHITEHOUSE? MRS MCCAIN JUST STANDS THERE AND AGREES WITH EVERTHING HER HUSBAND SAYS & MRS OBAMA TALKS ABOUT HOW AWFUL THIS COUNTRY IS TO ALL BLACKS & HOW SHE CAN NOT BE PROUD OF THE USA. GIVE ME BILL CLINTON ANY DAY, HE LOVES THIS COUNTRY & THE MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING. WHEN BUSH GAVE THE TAX CUTS TO THE RICH BILL CLINTON WAS THE ONLY ONE I HEARD SAY ON THE AIR THAT HE WAS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO BENEFITTED AND WHO DID NOT NEED THE TAX CUTS! HILLARY SAYS THE SAME THING.
Cindy McCain will bring back class and elegance to the White House.
I really think Bill Clinton would be a great first man in the White House. He has excellent skills and knowledge of foreign affairs and economics. I voted for Hillary in the primaries and will not vote for Obama if he wins the Dem nomination!!!!!!! I'll countervote for McCain if Obama is the Dem running.
Mrs. McCain hands down. We have had enough of the Clintons and Mrs. Obama oh have mercy NO!!! She would even be a worse First Lady... Can you look closely at the Rev Wright clips and tell me if I am the only one that has found a profound similarity on the appearance of one of the woman in the congreation jumping up in agreement with Rev Wright as he spits his venomous words out. Each viewing I paid close attention and the woman certainly appears to be Michelle Obama.
Most definitely Cindy McCain! The foreign media would have a field day with Mrs O's attitude about our country. Bad enough they speak ill of us without our own First Lady helping them. Change begins with positive attitudes and helpfull input, not critisism and negativity. Just more proof of the Obamas
inexperience.
Cindy McCain represents the likes of Jackie Kennedy and she would bring dignity and class to the White House as has Laura Bush. The mere thought of Bill Clinton even being allowed back in the White House would be a disgrace. Michele's mouth would become a liability for our nation.
Bill Clinton was a very good pres. irregardless of any personal things that happened. Hillary has to be a strong lady to have forgiven all of that. He sure could lead her in the right direction for all issues. And lets face it being a woman I am sure she would do a good job.!! Lets give her a try.
Leave all of the personal things out of this race. I am sure they all had something they were not to proud of!!!
It would be great to finally have a man as first spouse!
And a former President to boot!
Clearly---President Bill Clinton as first spouse would rock!
Mrs. McCain...she has presence, beauty and kindness...she loves America and is married to a man with integrity...
Mrs McCain seems like a nice women but I know of no one who can
kick a drug addition without help. As for Michele Obama, by the way,
where has she been lately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think getting two for the
price of one is great. Hillary & Bill
Cindy McCain hasn't spoken a word all this time. How do we know how she is. She just stands there. She is a classy lady though but---- you can't beat good old Bill. He is going to make a very handsome first Gentleman. Just think a woman in the Whitehouse and a a gentleman as 1st (lady) Man.
Think about this, a man, Bill Clinton as first lady, we woud be a laughing stock to the rest of the world, as well as controlling the White House as Mr/Mrs. Clinton.
I vote for Mrs McCain. Please no to both Obamas; and I never did like Bill..
I have the highest regard for former President Bill Clinton's innovative work both here and internationally. What seems to bother people in this election is the break from tradition by having an unprecedented First Gentleman who is also a former President. People seem to want change but aren't big on it when they are presented with a real option. We ought to give this outstanding couple a chance to blast the glass ceiling for women, and with an outstanding partner like the former President, Senator Clinton will have great support.
Of course Bill would be - he already knows everyone and has always been on good terms with our allies. He would continue his good works plus add more as his wife asked of him, as he said he would. I think Chelsea would also be a great ambassador for the country as I think she is a very poised and classy young lady.
This is not a serious question. No contest, there is only one person that has the gravitus (sp) to be first spouse. That person is Mrs. McCain. As far as Mr. spouse--who in their right mind would want him back in the world spot light representing the USA in any official capacity. Would Mr. Spouse stay out of the oval office? I don't think so.
What little I have heard about Mrs. McCain reinforces my opinion that she would be a first lady of whom we could all be proud. I wish that more of her background and accomplishments could be brought to the attention of the public.
Mrs. McCain would make a lovely first lady, but Bill Clinton's experience is well-known around the world. He who is free of sin throw the first stone.
There is no contest. Mrs. McCain would be such a great first lady, so far she has been very poised and loaded with class. That's all we need a Bill Clinton back in the White House doing who knows what and Michelle with her attitude.
Mrs. McCain will represent The United States in a way that will make us proud to have her as the First Lady!!!
Mrs. Cain = Class
I believe that Mrs. McCain would make a great first lady. She seems quiet but dignified and would be a person that would stand by her husband. She seems to me to love our country, to love people, and doesn't get involved in the politics side of being a first lady. I believe her personality would be complete opposite to Mrs. Obama which is and will be a good thing.
Cindy McCaine, Mrs. oboma would be an insult to America.
I really think - michelle is out of the question. She is angry and allows her children to go to an angry church so her two lovely daughters will also be poisoned with hate.
I do not know Mrs. Mc Cain - what has she done?
With the condition we are in - I would love to See bill clinton do the job- yes he was immoral but he has the experience we need at this time.

Think about this, a man, Bill Clinton as first lady, we woud be a laughing stock to the rest of the world, as well as controlling the White House as Mr/Mrs. Clinton.
#64 AND 68 YOU ARE IDIOTS..AND BY THE WAY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL NEVER PUT OBAMA IN THE WHITE HOUSE.........TRUST ME...
I would not appreciate Bill Clinton being in the White House at all. He disgraced the office of the President. Remember Ronald Reagan would not enter the Oval Office without a shirt and tie. What did Bill do at his desk?
Just the thought of him there makes me ill.
The two democrats left in the field for the next presidency have both proven to be untruthful to the people of these great United States. Given this, I would find no good feeling to have either of their spouses in office with them, defending their dishonesty. I also find both to be quite belligerent and self-serving.
Mrs. McCain on the other hand is very likeable and a true patriot of America. I would feel most comfortable having her as our first lady.
Bill is disbarred, impeached and an accused rapist.....don't want him representing the USA, MRS O hate America and Rev Wright showed us why she hates us. Mrs McCain would be as good a frist lady as both Mrs Bush's have been.
I DO BELIEVE MRS. McCAIN WOULD BE A LOVELY FIRST LADY. SHE IS A PROUD AMERICAN, AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN, UNLIKE MRS. OBAMA. I WOULD FEEL GOOD KNOWING A LADY LIKE MRS. McCAIN WAS OUR FIRST LADY. IF NOT HER, I WOULD HAVE TO GO WITH MR. CLINTON BEFORE I WOULD GO WITH MRS. OBAMA. AT LEAST HE IS PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN ALSO.
I say First Dude. I think it would be not only a real history first, but a bonus for our economy and fun situation. Mrs. O would in no way be my choice. Scary attitude. I don't know Mrs. McCain that well yet.
Dear Greta,
Ms. O has been influenced by their minister, as has Mr. Obama, and Ms McCain would do great I'm sure, but Mr. Clinton is loved the world over, other than his minor faults, he is a wonder person. If his wife and daughter have forgiven him why can't we....he would make us proud to say this country is on it's way back up again. The media just won't give Ms. Clinton a chance, she's a woman....it's a men's world.
Former President Bill Clinton is the best choice as "First Man". Do you really think Mrs. Obama or Mrs. McCain have any idea what is going on in the world? It seems to me that ever since Mrs. Obama has talked about not being proud of America until now, she has disappeared form the cameras. And for Mrs. McCain, has anyone even heard her say one word?
May McCain win and bring his lovely wife to the White House. One cannot even imagine the disgrace that either Obama (cum wife) or Clinton (cum husband) would bring to this nation as its leader.
Considering Mrs. Obam's attitude and opinion of America, and Bill Clinton's record and behavior over many years, either would be a disgrace to that position.
Most know little about Mrs. McCain, but I'm confident she would be well respected in the position of First Spouse.
Bill Clinton even though he had an affair at the time he was president our country was not in the economy mess and all this other mess we are in today. We were not trillions of dollars in debt. And just like Chelsea Clinton says it is none of our business if he had an affair just because he was president that made it a big deal but there are millions of men that have an affair everyday do we judge them? NOT.
Former President Clinton would be the best spouse to represent America, when he was the president the USA was well respected around the world. He would be a great Ambassador for the country.
This is no contest. Cindy McCain would be the best first lady by far. Our country needs someone that we can be proud of...someone who would be a gracious, refined, attractive person. We certainly don't need Bill Clinton to be anywhere near the White House again, and Mrs. Obama would be a disgrace.
Heaven help this beautiful country if Hillary or Obama get into office.
Well, judging appearance, Mrs. McCain certainly fits the role. Although, I've never really heard her speeches. Bill Clinton we already know about, despite the Lewinski scandal, he knew how to run the country. Then there's the horrific Michelle Obama, which in my opinion, is nothing short of a racist herself! She is not the epitomy of a First Lady!
Mrs. McCain hands down. Obama is frightening...Mr or Mrs...and the Clintons? That marriage is nothing more than a marriage of convenience, and it always has been. Even as Governer Clinton, it was obvious that he needed a tighter belt...and maybe suspenders...and how about a straight jacket to help him learn to be "faithful".
I dont understand why this is even a poll. Hands down Mrs. McCain will do the best job representing the United States. She always seems to hold her self to such a high standard and seems like the definition of class. Mrs. Obama is just now proud of a country, so how can she represent the United States well when she isn't proud of anything we have done in the past? Also if she thinks its okay to raise her daughters in a church that is led by such an anti-American man as Rev. Wright, what is she going to try to accomplish in the White House. Don't even get my started on Clinton reprenting the United States. He has no morals just like his wife, and it would be embarrassing to have that unethical man back in the White House.
bill clinton would be the best spouse since he had a great experience on the white house and during his time he had a big surplus in the economy. and he is a big help in the white house and may be hillary's one advicer. 21755
With Ms Obama drifting out of sight not even her husbands own handlers want her up front...
And as for Bill...he'll have far too much free time on his hands if Hill makes it to the White House...and idle hands are the...well, somebody's workshop!
Consequently, Ms McCain makes it by default...even though she'd win it hands down in a positve run-off!
I think Mrs. McCain would make a fine First Lady. Why would Michele Obama WANT to be First Lady of a country she isn't proud of? Between Mrs. O and Mr. C, OMG what kind of national and international incidents would we have to contend with? Mrs. McCain would bring style and grace to The White House as did Laura Bush and Miss Barbara before her. No, I didn't forget the years in between.
I do not believe that either one of these people would make a good first lady. Bill Clinton needs no response, Michelle Obama has already stated her opinion of our country and Mrs. McCain is married to John McCain, who I believe has allowed his ego to keep the only decent choice (Governor Mitt Romney) we had out of the office. He is too old and too bitter a little man to deserve my vote. I have actually been waiting to see who his choice for VP will be. So far though from what I have been hearing, he is determined to follow his ego to the end. Therefore, I may actually end up sitting this election out. What is the difference when all you have to choose from is one Liberal or another?
Mrs. McCain would be the best. There is no competition. No more Bill Clinton and I can't imagine Mrs. Obama. I was shocked to hear that she finally is proud of her country in 2008. She should ask herself, "would she have been better off in any other country?"
Mrs. McCain loves her husband, her country, and has the class and dignity that the first lady should have. Yes, she is the one!
Not once have I seen Mrs. McCain in anyway attempt to overstep her husband....on the other hand....Obama and Clinton are like vultures standing in the wings just waiting to get their chance.
Bill Clinton: You would NEVER know "who" he might do next! He has the morals of an alley cat! He is not to be trusted in sight, much less out of sight!
M. Obama: Since this is the first time she has "been proud to be an American", perhaps it is also her last time! Who can "really" believe their Wright story?? She, and her husband would prove to be international jokes just as Bill Clinton already is!
McCain: The only one of the three who has shown any class thus far!! She would be best without question!!
Mrs.MaCain looks to plastic and way to young i think she would be more intrested in herself than doing what you would expect of a first lady and MaCain wants to carry on the war and more wars as he said he could lead america against the arabs. Hilary is the best for president and people are getting use to calling Bill Clinton as her husband and there's no end to what he could acomplish in the position that a first lady is expected to do.
I feel that president Clinton would serve the country as first spouce better and more efficiently, because he has a personality and a presence that the other two spouces do not have or even pretend to have. HE LEFT THE PRESIDENCY WITH THE highest rating of any other president except for Ronald Reagan. If people would just stop their cheap shots and let him do what he has proven to be good at. This country would be the better for it. There wont be another person with his ability and charisma to come along. They are few and far between.
Thank you
With what she said about the USA just because her husband is running for President...I can't see her in the White House. There's no committment to the nation, just to her husband.
Mrs. McCain will be the best First Lady and ambassador for this country. We've had enough of the Clinton's dishonesty and we don't need them as Co-Presidents. Mrs. Obama has been an avid student of Rev. Wright and it is obvious in her speaches. Can anyone believe her husband doesn't really believe the same things - he is just a dynamic personallity and smooth talker deceiving the public big time to gain power for which he is not capable of handling adequately. God help and bless our nation.
Mrs. Mcain if you happen to read this,
you are a beautiful, woman of grace and poise and will do our country proud as our next First Lady. If only the presidency could be decided by the spouses as its a hands down win for the mcains.
Bill Clinton, of course. He may have done what so many presidents before him have done, historically, but never got caught, however, he led our country, right out of a horrible economy crisis. Hillary is a strong woman and won't let us down, but Bill willl be very helpful considering the hell she will inherit.
Mrs. McCain fits the beauty of our shinning U.S.A, she loves our Country, she will be well respected throughout the world, the Europeans love to see a Lady with Class and Beauty. She reflects THE KINDNESS OF OUR COUNTRY UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Cindy McCain carries herself with elegance, class and grace as opposed to MIchelle Obama who projects a perpetual axe to grind...Maybe she can migrate so can finally be proud elsewhere... As for Bill Clinton in the Whitehouse again with nothing to do? Hide everything female in the village!
mrs. mccain is a lady. mrs. obama acts like she is stright out of the projects. full of hate and anger. i would like to know if she lived in another country, would she have the opportunities that she had here. she is very lucky. she should thank god she lives in the us. but, she apparently doesn't. america is mean. that is what she says......
If we want someone who is guaranteed to be an ongoing source of embarrassment and humiliation to the greatest country in the world, absolutely, give this woman a pulpit from which to speak.
I think Mrs. McCain would be the best choice and I cannot think of a "worse" choice than Michelle Obama. She is sarcastic and snotty with a chip on her shoulder. I've said it before, I cannot imagine her gracing the halls of the White House.
FOR ALL THE LIBERAL OBAMA SUPPORTERS, EITHER YOU ARE ALL BLACK, OR HATE YOUR COUNTRY. HAVING THE OBAMAS IN THE WHITE HOUSE IS REPUGNANT AND SCARY. i FOR ONE QUESTION THEIR TRUE FEELINGS FOR AMERICA.
No contest, experience counts. Bill Clinton of course. No one else is smart enough.
Mrs. McCain is my first and last choice. I did a wiki google on her a couple of months ago; and , found that she has a lot of smarts going on. She is a very accomplished person in her own right. She would represent our country proudly.
I don't see where you get this "fact" that Mrs. Obama hates America. She said what most sensible Americans think; can YOU remember the last time you felt proud of your country? We have been torturing innocent civilians in a war started on false pretenses. We have about 9 trillion dollars in debt. THink about it.
What makes Mrs. McCain such a patriot? I am asking not convicting. She doesn’t say much at all. What do we really know about her. She is a fine lay? Yes she is well groomed, looks pretty, but what else?
We need to look beyond the surface and stop passing judgment. So know on here has ever said something and it was mis-interpreted.
Well let's see, a woman who has never been proud of her country, a country that has provided her a superb education. (I wonder if SHE was in the pews when the Rev was spewing his "acid" with her two girls.)
Then we have a man who is just shy of a sexual predator and damaged the Presidential office in probably the worst possible way then lied about it under oath. He could have had Osama binLaden but apparently wasn't interested. (Would we be in Iraq if Billy boy had "taken" Osama BL when offered?)
These two, compared to a dignified, gracious lady.
Boy this is a tough choice
Bill is the only answer to that question. Smile big.
For me the only answer to who is best to get this country back on track is Hillary Clinton. She is rock solid and has worked all her adult life for her country. She well be a great president, with out doubt.
As cranky Michelle is ashamed of her country, I don't want her representing mine!!!
God has forgiven Bill Clinton, can't you people?
Mrs. McCain is the quintessential beautiful, iconic, American First Lady. She is the very picture of heartland U.S.A. I'd like to know much more about her. I think, just by her stunning, beauty queen looks alone, that she will inspire the global community to think of America as the world's friend. People everywhere are drawn to attractive women. Michelle Obama is homely because of her protruding mouth area. She is also quite inauthentic as a black because she straightens her hair. She looks like an Aunt Tomasina. Also, her demeanor is very aggressive and does not have any of the grace of a First Lady. She strikes several negatives in perception before she even speaks. And as we all know, her words are offensive and repulsive.
There is a thin line between classy and trashy....Cindy Mccain is first class ALL the way. She is the epitome of integrity and honor. The trashy part applies to both "Anti-America" Obama and "Sleazy-Slick" Willie!!!!!
bill is #1 no ifs or buts about it got to love him obama is all wrong for this country wake up america we can not afford to have the obamas inthe white house and by the way when did barry become barack strange goings on vote hillary we need the clintons to get this country back on track god bless america
Mrs. McCain.

1. Mrs. Obama is an embarrassment to all Americans.
2. Mr. Clinton is also an embarrassment as an impeached president, without scruples or morals.
3. Mrs. McCain is elegant as Mrs. Reagan
I concur with Corrine. Mrs. McCain by far. Ms. Obama is scary as is their mentor and advisor. Anyone that professes to hate the country as much as she (Ms. Obama) cannot really represent this country nor its people. With the Clinton's, I believe there is a credibility concern that is known here and abroad. Cindy MaCain has my full support.
We really don't know much about Mrs. McCain other than she look appears very muted standing next to Senator McCain. So we don't know how good she would be representing the US, however everyboby seems to have forgotten, McCain was married, he said separated, but nobody has asked him if he was truly separated from his wife when he starting chasing Cindy? She had to know he was still married or did he lie to her. We also forget he admitted chasing a lot of women when he was atually still married. Where is his moral authority?
I would have to say I would have the same opinion regarding iMrs Obama. Other than speaking on this campaign, I don't know how she would do as a representative of the US.
You have to say for all his faults Bill Clinton has superor world knowledge and experience.
S Gallion
we all better down on our knees praying if the clintons or obamas get in office, and i am not a republican either.at least not yet,so that leaves mrs mcCain for me.
Bill Clinton would be the best choice! Mrs. McCain may be a nice lady but she's been kept so silent so far in the campaign that I doubt that she is up to the task... and Michelle......... she'd be a lousy person to represent this country given her comments on America.
To have a former first Lady as the President would be ideal, and to have a former President as the First male spouse would be even better, because one day if not this year there will be a First male spouse and who would be better than Bill Clinton, who respects women. I can't or won't think about Michelle Obama as first Lady, but if he wins she will be right there, big and loud!
hillary & barock can't even bring their own party together let alone a nation
We are truely seeing the lack of experience and moral character surface and it will only get worse. Why has it been so quiet in the media concerning the Peter Paul case out in Ca. Thank you Greta and all the news staff at FOX NEWS. You are helping me and many more keep our sanity through all of this.
Blessings,
Ken
Mrs McCain would certainly be the best charming first Lady, she has grace and poise, and stand very well by her husband and certainly love her country. About Mrs Obama what was she doing staying in this beautiful country of ours, if she hates it so much!!! Mrs Clinton oh! no!! the only reason that she is running for president, because her husband would be in charge!, what a catastrophe these two have been and still are!..........
MICHELLE OBAMA IS HATEFUL AND THE COMMENTS ABOUT AMERICA IS ATROCIOUS AND THIS MAKES HER AN UGLY WOMAN TO BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE......I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CINDY MCCAIN GETTING IT THERE......SO BILL AS FIRST GENTLEMAN WOULD BE THE GREATEST
I agree with Corrine, Mrs. McCain would be the best First Lady. It would not be good if Mrs. O got in. She has had such wonderful opportunities in this great country of ours and it has taken her this long to appreciate what America has done for her? She doesn't deserve to be a First Lady. And for Clinton to get in again? No way! What a disaster that would be.
Mrs. Obama and frmr. President Bill Clinton say foolish things every time they open their mouths. Mrs. McCain hasn't, to my knowledge, said she was "for the first time in her adult life proud of this country." In fact she's expressed patriotism at every turn. Don't get me started on the "the good 'ol boy"
I agree Corrine. She does not represent America well. In many ways (but having more class then Teresa Heinz) she reminds me of Senator Kerry's wife. Rude.....abrasive in speech......not having decorum in her conversation with the American people......I hate to say this but very low class in her behavior. She doesn't LOVE this country. She only started "liking" it when her husband started running for President. And Barack...who does he think he is not placing his hand over his heart for the Pledge of allegiance!! Al Quieda said they would destroy us from the inside out.....who knows....maybe Barack is their surprise weapon! But he will never get that far. God will protect this country from the likes of him unless we start turning out back on God. We must forver and always stay "one nation under God"!
Bill of course. He would do a great job of entertaintng the wifes of dignitaries from all over the world. Couldn't wait for the French to come over, after her pose.
Mrs. McCain, in my opinion, would be a wonderful "first lady". She stood by her man and I am sure she will stand by our country. She conducts herself with poise and dignity, and seems to have her priorities in good order. I admire her and would love to see her as our country's First Lady.
I Think Mrs. Obama will be the best for the white house. She is a Beautiful strong black female I know that scares alot of these racist conservatives.Mrs. McCain is a Drug addict she needs rehab not to be in the white house selling our countries Infomation for a dime bag.And Bill just wants to have another 4 years to chase all the new interns around the whitehouse. If others look past their bigot biased ways then they will see it's a no brainer! Michelle Obama Is beautiful elegant and outspoken.Alot of White people can't handle that she's tough just like Hillary and actually is more intelligent. But by your polling I see how your viewers really are how condescending.
It is funny how everyone (Fox Viewers) seem to brush aside the story about Mrs McCain's Drug problem. Have you noticed that she never says anything?Well , I guess they are so busy poisoning minds about Oboma. America wake up it is time for a change. Time to put these black/white feelings aside. Let's move our nation forward.
Mrs. McCain-but really, Greta...let's remain focused on the most important resident in the White House. John McCain demonstrates his love for this country. He will seek to do what is best and right for the majority-remember we are a DEMOCRACY. Get out there and vote people...remember the disasters of Jimmy Carter and the embarrassment and humiliation of Bill Clinton's antics. Honesty is still the best policy..voters BEWARE!
Mrs. McCain demonstrates a tremendous level of grace and professionalism. Her professional success is inspirational, too.
Mrs. McCain-but really, Greta...let's remain focused on the most important resident in the White House. John McCain demonstrates his love for this country. He will seek to do what is best and right for the majority-remember we are a DEMOCRACY. Bill Clinton absolutely!! He's the best! He is so well liked by the heads of other countries. He does such great humanitarian work...
I just can't picture Michelle Obama as First Lady ...or maybe I can. She is definitely not the woman to represent us. Mrs. McCain seems lovely but I don't think she will be able to handle the job.
DEMon or Pubican? mccains wife shouldnt be in this vote.
Mrs. McCain is a Lady, Bill is a Ladies Man and Michell is a Loser.
Lets see...M Obama is a hater, and Slick Willie wagged his finger and got away with perjury...besides that, there's not too much left there to steal - they already took all of it the first time they left.
I guess that leaves McCain...
Former President Clinton has done a lot for this country - and continues to partner with Former President Bush to help New Orleans and other countries. Mrs. McCain has had drug problems that she admits to and really has nothing to say and Mrs. Obama has a lot of the views of the Reverand Wright. Give me Former President Clinton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Contest! Cindy McCain. Cindy McCain is independent, warm, and caring, which is apparent if you read her story, not publicized enough. Michelle Obama is race driven (like her husband and pastor) and perhaps worse, because she didn’t take her children out of a hate filled church and made a very dumb statement about not being proud to be an American for 40 years. Forget Bill Clinton – he could never be first spouse, which is really “second fiddle” because it’s always all about him!
absolutly not obamas wife! mrs. mccain seems like a nice woman, but seems too shy. pres. clinton is very well liked in most parts of the world. i think he can smooth things over so THE USA will be respected again!
Without a doubt, and with no hesitation, mrs mccain would represent us best by far! Bill would sure enough go wild and Hillary would continue to hide all of her "secret" misdeeds, so we definately don't need them again. As far as Mrs Obama, no thanks!! Shes benefited from every good thing in America and she has never been proud to be an American prior to Barrack running for the highest office in the land? Phooey!! She need more education and more appreciation for what she has gained from the country that she could not find a reason to be proud to be a citizen of. Besides, John Mccain is a true patriot, a tried and true American, has dedicated all of his adult life in service for the country that he is extremely proud of, and his wife would make a great first lady and a deeply respected first lady both here in America and around the world. Thanks for the opportunity to vote!! HI GRETA!
If Bill were representing the country all the guest towels and silver would be stolen.
Michelle, would whine about how she finally feels accepted but life is tough if you make only a million a year
so by default it is Mrs. McCain.
America would be proud to have Mrs. McCain as our next 1st lady. She is very elegant and kind. And did I mention that she actually LOVES AMERICA, unlike Mrs. Obama who isn't an America-lover just yet. It all makes sense now as to why she made that comment... 20 years of conditioning by the not-so-honorable Rev. Wright! The CLINTONS are just pure evil! They are terrible people and would lie, cheat or steal to get into the White house.
How can any of you think M Obama would be a good first lady. She hates this country with all it's white people. Or B. Clinton, womanizer,liar.etc.......I am very dissapointed in some peoples judgement.
If we want someone who is guaranteed to be an ongoing source of embarrassment and humiliation to the greatest country in the world, absolutely, give Michelle Obama a pulpit from which to speak.
The best way to make that decision is to; "Vote for the lesser evil".
The only choice is Mrs. McCain. The other two are an embarrassment to all Americans. Bill is a big liar and cheat, and completely untrustworthy. I think he has done quite enough with the white house affairs of zippergate in the oral office. We don't need this loser back in the office. Michelle is the most un-American, unpatriotic, and ungrateful person in the entire country. She has had more advantages for education than most, and she has the gall to say this is the first time she is proud of American??? Americans have been leaders since day one. The very founders of this country and their bravery should give every American a sense of pride to be part of this great land. We have made major contributions to the world. Does none of this make us proud?
Most definitly former President Clinton he was a great president and Senator Hillary Clinton is a intellegent, well spoken, experienced, and what i call a real first lady and she should always get our respect. Not like Obamas wife a anti american who's only interest in America is when Obama is rnning for President. Unlike the Clintons and the MC cains who are true Americans and have Americas true intrests in mind. And that church he goes to unfit for a Senator and even worse when your running for president. My stance is clear vote for Senator Hillary Clinton 2008.
The fact that Mrs. McCain is quiet and reserved is a reflection of the fact that she knows her husband is running, not her, and the fact that she chose to marry him means she shares his dreams and ideals. And obviously his heart is in the right place, he already put his money where his mouth is when he served in the military and was a POW. If Obama and Michele share the same ideals, then we are in trouble if he wins the White House. When in HISTORY have we ever had a president or spouse who were so anti-American? I cannot imagine Obama serving in the military, saluting, or being a POW.
michelle obama in the white house would be an obamination!!! she represents the worst the ghetto produces. she is stupid to spout the venom she has expressed, when her spouse is trying to win the presidency, BUT, the hate mongering comes first. its a ghetto thing. she has no class. rerun the tape of her sitting on a stool with legs apart and hands between the knees at the caroline kennedy endorsement. could it be this type of behaviour caused the kids at college not to accept her fully? and, last but not least, she is physically ugly and ungainly looking.
Mrs. McCain is Classy and Publicly appealing. She would make a great first Lady. I can just see her grace in hosting Foreign Diplomats. Lovely Lady!
I and the other posters here definatly dont want blacks in the white house, blacks belong in the field of the white hous.e so im voting for either mrs.mccain or bill.
Mrs. McCain has class. Mrs. Obama does not love this country.
Mrs. Cindy McCain, she is the epitomy of graciousness, as is Laura Bush. I don't care for a first lady that doesn't love her country. As for Bill Clinton, eight years of both of them was more than enough..
GIVE ME A BREAK!!
WE DO NOT NEED A PAINTED UP BARBIE DOLL IN THE WHITEHOUSE.
CINDY MCCAIN NEEDS TO LAY OFF THE MAKEUP,AND TRY TO LOOK
LIKE A FIRST LADY SHOULD.INSTEAD OF A PAINTED UP BARBIE DOLL.
NOBODY want to see Bill "messing around' in the White House ever again, or try to be the first "First Lady". Enough is enough.
Michelle Obama, of course! This lady's first class all the way, very articulate, highly intelligent! She has something Ms Cain nor Bill Clinton has!
Mrs. McCain is a woman of character and morals, much like Laura Bush. She would speak in a way to bring attention to our great country and not herself. She demonstrates loyality to family and country.
Mrs. McCain would make a very good First Lady and serve our country proudly. Since Mrs. Obama is not proud to be an American, why would she want to live in the White House? Finally, Bill Clinton had more than his fair share of time to abuse the White House. As First Gentleman it would be his responsibility to keep the first ladies of other countries entertained. Do we really want that?
Mrs. McCain is the obvious choice with her grace and charm. She will represent our country very well as first lady. We will be proud of her. Mrs. Obama seems to be filled with hate and discontent toward America and it shows. Have had more than enough of slick willy already.
1. Ms. Obama would be miserable. The duties of serving as America's first lady are far too demeaning for an African nationalist.
2. Clinton has not the morals required to be First anything.
3. The other two are so out of the question that an unknown like Ms. McCain would be a joy.
Experience from Bill Clinton would be so very valuable
Without question, Cindy McCain will make the BEST FIRST LADY. Michelle, is not a real believer in the US and should maybe find another country that she can LOVE. She can take Barack with her too!
In Mrs. Obama's 44 years on earth, the last two months have been the first time in her life she is proud of her country. This is a disastrous ideology for a first lady to have.
Slick Willy has proven he will clearly overshadow his wife on the political stage. Two different policies are worse than one bad policy.
Mrs. McCain is a class act.
I believe Mrs. McCain would be the very best first Lady, She knows when to speak and when not to. She is definitely an American and a Patriot. She would never say a bad thing about her country. I'm sick of hearing Obama and his pastor saying such horrible things about a Country that gives them so much, instead of thanking this wonderful America, they say things that are not appropriate
Cindy McCain, You have to be kidding. Drug addict, Rodeo Queen????
She looks like she might have owned a Ranch in Nevada!!!!!
What a Sham.
Cindy by far is the most normal.
mrs obama GOD nooooooo. SHE looks scary and angry..she does not fool anyone.Angry black woman does not work.
Mrs. Obama is too decisive, and I don't believe she is very patriotic. Former President Clinton, although a talented politician, has tarnished his own name with the many scandals from his past.
Mrs McCain would be a beautiful and elegant first lady, along the lines of Jackie O and Laura Bush, representing this country with dignity all over the world.
Bill had his change and just wants to chase the female White House staff around again.
Mrs Obama in my eyes because of her unpatriotic comments is a disgrace.
While Mc Cain was locked up in Viet Nam
the Clinton's were studying
THE MARXIST MANIFESTO
Olson’s important 1999 book, Hell to Pay: The Unfolding Story of Hillary Rodham Clinton (Regnery Publishing, Inc., 1999), remains the best account of Hillary’s communist connections and emergence as a “budding Leninist” who “understood the Leninist concept of acquiring, accumulating and maintaining political power at any cost.”
Mrs. Obama is obviously not proud of the United States unless her husband is going to be/has a chance to be, President. She need not apply for the job of First Spouse. So, if she is so hateful of the US, let her exercise one of the basic rights of the US: let her become a citizen of a nation of which she would be proud.
I feel that Mrs. Mccain would make the best first lady. She is always very poised and stylish. She would make a wonderful replacement for Laura Bush. I feel Mrs. Obama has too much hate and anger inside her and would not be a good first lady at all. I feel she is way too overpowering and opinionated and I dont think she has the capability to be a poised, polished first lady. Former President Clinton would make a wonderful first lady:) He is obviously 100% behind his wife and not in a hostile manner like Mrs. Obama is. I personally voted for Mrs. Mccain, the most trustworthy of them all.
Mrs. McCain would be the best representative. Mrs. O is more dangerous than her husband. The Clintons just want to expand their personal wealth and have the U.S. become a socialist society.
Because, I never will vote for Obama, not because he is black, just because the media gave him a free pass. Hillary, she made a mistake with Bosnia, but Obama, made more mistakes and more lies, and the media just broshed everything away, like never happened. All the lies in his book about his childhood, his father, his life in Jakarta, his hate for his mother,He stoped talking about her when he was 12 years old. The whol book is just fiction with little truth.I just ca'n explain, why the media stocked on Hillary about Bosnia and never mentioned Obama's gross lies. The Jeremiah Wright,Rezko,Auchi, are more damaging stories. It will affect almost everybodys life. Bosnia, was 12-13 years ago, whose life was affected?I'm curious, how much money the NY POST,paid the Bosnian girl, to appear on the front page of their edition.I lived in that part of the world and I can say, they paid substantial amount for her appearence(she need the money and for money she would say anything the NY POOST asked her to say.) Obama is a liar, and nobody pay attention. I,like many democrats, instead of Obama, we will vcote for McCain. It's time, the DNC and H.Dean, to learn their lesson. If our vote, won't be counted for Hillary, why should be counted for Obama. No way!!!!
Mrs Obama sitting in Rev Wright church for 20+years wil need de-programing and councling from all the hate american sermons of Rev Wright for all those years. She wil need to lear all over again to be proud to be an American. When this happens she may be prepared.\.
jean, i thought we was voting for first lady. or first man, not president, so i vote for Mrs. McCain.
Mrs. McCain would be the best representative. Mrs. O is more dangerous than her husband. The Clintons just want to expand their personal wealth and have the U.S. become a socialist society.
Mrs. McCain would be a great First Lady, just keep her away from the Capitol medicine cabinet...lol
I think Bill Clinton can do more for regaining the respect of people around the world than any other candidates spouses. He is charasmatic, intelligent and an experienced statesman...regardless of his past bad judgement.People love him and pay big bucks to hear him speak. It would be a comfort to have him in the White House again ...whether or not Hillary takes his advise...
I believe that Mrs. Obama would be a very poor first lady. I believe the comments she made several weeks ago about not being proud of America come directly from the sermons and rhetoric of Rev. Wright and his church. Her lack of pride in America points directly to the teachings of Rev. Wright. How can a woman that is so dour and pessimistic about America and with such questionable patriotism be a first lady?
I believe that Mrs. McCain would be a wonderful first lady. She seems to be well-bred, polite, politcally savvy, and diplomatic. She would be a wonderful first lady.
Clinton and Obama will destroy this country. McCain is a poor choice for most conservatives but we must choose or lose..... hopefully Romney will accept VP 'cuz McCain will die of melanoma in first term.
It is scary to think about Mrs Obama being a 1st lady if she has never been proud of the US until people liked her husband! Mrs Clinton has been too well known for her dirty dealing so it is hard to think about her being an example for the world to see. Mrs McCain has been a good will ambassador for a few years and has never had negative feedback that I have ever heard. If we were voting for a president based on their spouse....it would make Mrs McCain a sure winner!
Bill Clinton would be too busy "NOT" having sex, Mrs. Obama would be too busy bashing our nation, so that leaves Mrs. McCain as the only real choice.
No Mrs American Hater, Mrs Obama, please.
The three best ever, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Laura Bush and now Mrs McCain
Mrs. McCain is poised and elegant. She would represent us with dignity. She is proud of America and we'd be proud of her as well. Bill Clinton already disgraced the White House and presidency; we don't need him there again. Mrs. Obama would just fuel the hatred and racial division, I'm afraid. We need leaders we can believe in. When I heard that John McCain could have gone home but remained a POW, that told me he has all the integrity in the world to be Commander in Chief. His wife is a class-act, too. What we need is honor and integrity in the White House. Laura Bush and Barbara Bush were great first ladies, and I believe Mrs. McCain will be wonderful, too.
Surely you jest!! Bill Clinton was, and continues to be, an embarrassment to this country!! There was only one worse President and that was Jimmy from Georgia! No, he must be relegated to the scrap heap, where he belongs! And Michelle Obama--she is a vicious and hate-filled racist who sat with her husband and drank in all the inflammatory garbage that the "Reverend?" Wright spewed forth for 20 years and held him up as their mentor!! Mrs McCain, on the other hand, is equipped to be a role model in all of her many attributes!! Have I made myself clear?
Looks like people are not ready for a "First Sir". I would vote for either of the Clintons any time. While he certainly used poor judgment in his personal life, people were willing to forgive. Hillary showed the strongest character during this trying time for her. She has great courage. During the Clinton administration the economy was comfortable for the working middle class people. We could afford to buy groceries, clothes and provide health care for our children. How soon we forget! I become so angry about that.
Mrs. McCain is a fine and classy lady. Yeah right?!? She was a drug addict and stole drugs from the organization that she headed. How the hell is that classy??? She married McCain a month after his divorce from his failing in health first wife. Another classy move.
Nope, Mrs. Obama more class in her pinky than this woman has in her whole body.
Hope this "vote" lines up with how the nov election will go.....if so we all can have hope for a free and safe America with Mrs McCain as first lady and her husband as our president
There is no contest there! Mrs. McCain is all class as is Senator McCain. I don't agree with everything that Senator McCain believes but I think he is the only choice for President. He is the only one who is pro-life! Senator Obama considers a baby a punishment. I wonder if his children consider themselves punishments. Senator Obama doesn't even think a baby who survives an abortion should be allowed to live. He doesn't think the fetus or born baby should be called a "person." Thank God for Senator McCain.
Love your show, Greta. You are so much easier to listen to than the hosts on some of the other shows. Keep up the good work.

I think that Mrs. McCann would mak a finer First Lady. I would hate to see Mrs. Obama go some where and make a stupid statement such as not feeling good about her country, or about some other country. God help us if she should become the First Lady. I think that Laura Bush has been the finest First Lady of all time.
David Stephens
All of you are on drug ... just take a look at Michelle Obama's resume and experience. Has Cindy ever worked or even Volunteered ... and you all want her to be a first lady. Come on now. Michelle Obama is the most Intelligence
first lady to ever take the stage.
I think your voting results are rigged
Mrs McCain has CLASS. Our nation needs someone more like her and less like someone who who cares more for themselves than they do for their country.
Ms. McCain is elegant and appears proud of her husband and country. Bill is a "joke" with no moral standards at all and Ms. Obama doesn't seem to have one ounce of loyalty for our country.
Michelle Obama would make a great First Lady---She is a loving wife and mother--these are her firsr priorities---Mrs. McCain has such piercing eyes---that I am not comfortable with her--- Of coures she wears the designer clothing, this does not make a First Lady---I am white and I am definitely voting for Obama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs. McCain appears to be a very classy lady with a lot of poise and the discretion necessary to be a first lady. As president, you have many more important things to spend your time on than having to worry about covering the gaffs of your spouse.
Mrs Obama has never, ever said she hated america.....she has said nothing has made her proud but this is again exagerated by the press, im sure she isnt the only black woman or person in general that feels a bit down with life in the states in a minority.
Im from London and have followed the races from day 1 and agree with many of you that cindy does look like she would make the best first lady, but cmon what impact does it really have, whatever the result of this poll and peoples opinion of the candidates first lady/man (if thats the right terminology) should not impact at all which candidate gets their vote. We are voting for the individual candidate and their values, no one elses and that includes rev wright!
I personally feel Obama will struggle come election time when it gets down to the nitty gritty but i really do think he is the best option with Mccain just a follow on from Bush.
Wish we had an Obama to inspire us in the UK where things are no better than over the pond!
Mrs Obama thinks the US is a bad country-she should move to another country. Bill Clinton would find it hard to tell the truth. Mrs McCain is a beautiful and dignified lady. She would be an asset to the White House.
Mrs. McCain without a DOUBT. She would make a GREAT FIRST LADY AND WOULD MAKE ALL AMERICANS PROUD. Mrs. Obama cannot even come close to Mrs. McCain. Mrs. McCain is proud of her country.
God Bless America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
McCain's wife does not look like a first lady. She dresses in too much leather and does not fit the part. Obama's wife is a racist. And I don't believe a word that preacher said during his speech tonight. He is full of crap.
Lord help us if Ms. Obama is there. She's a racist as well as not being proud of our Country until now. She sat in that Church as well as her husband and listened to Wright (I can't bear to call him Rev.) Then there's ol Bill who can't keep away from the "ladies who keep his pants unzipped." Maybe Hillary could find him a chasity belt. Mrs. McCain is a lady who can make us proud. She's the only choice.
Mrs. McCain doesn't say anything. She just comes out looking like a trophy-wife and not sure she has any real credentials. Mrs. Obama seems like an angry woman. Mr. Clinton at least has a repoire with many heads of state and has been there before to aid Mrs. Clinton when difficult times arise for our country.
Cindy by far......Bill Clinton is a liar, cheater and crook. Michelle Obama is a bitter anti-American white hater who is pissed that she is black and not white.
Bill Clinton is the only way to vote.
i always liked bill clinton at least the usa was not in the mess it is in today i wii vote for hillary.and i think the people should leave chelsia alone she answered good.and obama is a lier too. alie is a lie anybody who sat in churchfor 20 years is stuped if he didn't know what was going on give me a break,he is a LIER
Mrs McCain, Would make the best First Lady my family thinks. She is the type of Lady that would set an example for our young girls and our country needs, just like Laura Bush, Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush. We need someone that Loves this Country and would be a good role model.
Itr is true that the two pontential democratic first lady or man have in one or the other said something or behaved bad before and during the primary.
The question, which the bad behavour is so bad? For me, the Mrs Obama speak of first time being proud America is not as bad as Bill or a trusted leader that uses his leadership influence to seduced a trainee under him. pleaseeee, rule me out of given such a free xxxx ride , second chance in WH. for Mrs Mc cain, well, the issue is there no leadership history I can tell of her past.
I don't see Mrs. Obama as a good example for first lady. She seems to have plenty of anger when she speaks, and it is apparent that she wants the presidency more than her husband! Bill Clinton is my first choice, and for Mrs. McCain I am not sure, because I have not heard her speak- nor do I know anything about her.
To Bob of Ohio,
I applaud Cindy McCain for her ability to rise above any problems she's had in the past with drugs or alcohol. She is not the first lady in the limelight or in the Whitehouse to have a problem in this area. You don't have a very forgiving heart to slam her or fault her for that. I am proud of her. We all make mistakes and have skeletons in our closet. We must not judge her in that way. If she was still having a problem with this, I doubt her husband would be running for President.
Mrs. Obama Will be a disaster in the White House. With Pastor Wright's teaching of hatred in their blood, we don't know what they will do to America?
Holy Cow! I can't believe Bill is still getting credit for a good economy while President. Anyone with highschool economics 101 would realize, he inherited Reagans "trickle down economics" policy. It trickled down right into Bills lap where he gets all the credit!! NOT!!!!! Bill probably calculated on that when he ran. You can't find any economy bill he produced to make a good economy. Come on, America, check out his record while in office, you'll not find anything he passed to improve the economy. Yep same ole Clintons trying to fool everyone into making themselves look good. The wannabeKennedys Clintons need to hang it up and go really work for a living. They are so crooked I'm terrified at what they will do to get her President.
Mrs. Mcain without a doubt. Bill is a disgrace to the country. Mrs. Obama is not for this country.
we love this stuff and fox mrs. mc cain is the best
Mrs. McCain would not only bring beauty and intelligence to the White House, but also class and decorum, akin to Nancy Reagan. In addition, she has been a long-time Naval Officer's wife, thus accustomed to U.S. diplomatic relations. One of her strengths also is that she knows when to keep her mouth shut; something that the other two options haven't a clue about. Specifically commenting on Mrs. Obama, who has admittedly stated that she has only recently been proud to be an American, I have to wonder what she has taught and modeled to her children, as well as what her specific agenda would be if First Lady of the UNITED States of America. Scary to even think about!
Having Michelle Obama in the whitehouse is the same as having the Black Panthers in the whitehouse.
Wow, what a choice: Mrs. McCain is a former drug addict whose family's money kept her out of jail; Mrs. Obama hates America; and Bill Clinton cheats on his wife while he is in the White House, proving he has no respect for the presidency or Hillary. Can we write in Mitt Romney this fall!
Many years ago my grandmother told me if you plant flowers in your heart that's what will grow there and if you plant weeds in your heart than that's what will grow there. I feel mrs. McCain has far more flowers planted in her heart than Mrs. Obama or Mr Clinton.
Let's see. Bill will be to busy being the President again and so will have no time to entertain the wives of foreign leaders in his own inimitable way. Michelle Obama, unless she can find a way to be proud of her country, would be a disaster from a diplomatic perspective. However, her (and his) socialist tendencies would be viewed very favorably by other countries. So, who best represents the US? Mrs. McCain. Presumably, she at least loves her country enough to want to show it in its best light. I want my president (and his wife) to "bleed red, white, and blue."
I think Mrs. Obama would be the best first lady, because Mrs. McCain does not say very much so you really don't know her. She just stands there and look around. Bill Clinton would not be a good spouse of a President because of his past and his lies.
Mrs. McCain is by far the most elegant lady for the White House. Apart from having too many skeletons in her closet because of Bill, Hilary is also not truthful. And Mrs. O would be a complete disaster in the White House!
President and Mrs. Bush returned respect to the White House after Bill's dirty shenannigans and now Mr and Mrs. McCain will continue respectful tenure at the White House.
Clinton would make the best for the white house as we will have Chelsea also.
Mrs. Obama Hussien does not like white americas. We love America and Mrs. Obama does not love America. And McCain`s wife is a under the knife phony . But if we white America cannot have the Clintons we prefer the McCain`s and that is the way it will be.
Lily
Definitely, Former President Clinton!!! Hands Down!!!
mrs. mccain seems like a nice enough lady but, if we are talking purely about who would make best spouse, it's bill clinton hands down. he's a charming speaker who is still beloved around the world making him the perfect goodwill ambassador. as for mrs. obama.. yikes !! who would want that nasty, wild woman speaking for the country ?
Why is it ok for Wright and all his groups ...say the things they do and they expect the whites to accept it all ....and yet when Imus says one thing ...all of them had to hang him ...and oh how bad he is .....those idiots ...look at all the good that Don Imus has done for kids, families ........What has Wright done ? ....What money has he spent of his ? How pathetic ......
Wow
Obama's lying prick of a wife as first lady!?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
and then we go to McCain's wife, im sorry but i dont want a lady repping her 25256 face lifts along with our country.
But clinton
thats who we need
its like we got two extremly smart people running out country which is in brinks of hell
They say on Fox that the press has it in the tank for Obama but if you ask me Fox go the opposite way and have it in the tank for Mccain. Being from London i can have a completely unbias view and say that Fox is about as conservative as an unbias media can get!
The fact that Barack has "hidden" his wife from us since her deplorable "this is the first time in my adult life that I am proud to be and American" speech is puzzling to me. Is Barack afraid that more "hate" wil come out? If he is elected President, the restraints will be off. What will she say then?
Mrs McCain has not made one wrong statement as both of the others have. She seems humble and a great asset to her wonderful truthful husband. The lies from the others and the lack of patrotisim to God and Country is not someone we need in the leadership of our country. We can now understand why so many of the blacks have stayed down gutter style after hearing Mr. Wright. I can not seem able to call him Rev. When I hear him say God Dam America that is enough for me and to think that Obama did not know questions my intellegence. Where are all of the good black preachers who have not been preaching this hatred of America. Are there any? You might see if you can find some. Check Rev. T. D. Jakes in Dallas. We true Born Again Children of God who believe what Jesus taught and still teaches through His word "The Bible" needs to wake up and beware of the Wolves in Sheeps clothing. McCane is the way for America in this time when Christians are under attack as well as the real foundation of our country. In God We Trust.
Definitely, Former President Clinton!!! Hands Down!!!
Mrs. Obama has proven on numerous occasions that her dislike of America and her acceptance of an overtly racist preacher put her in a tenuous position. Can any thinking individual possibly believe that her husband possesses markedly different beliefs than she? In our house, such a radically different view would be common knowledge, or common belief.
The fact that Barack has "hidden" his wife from us since her deplorable "this is the first time in my adult life that I am proud to be and American" speech is puzzling to me. Is Barack afraid that more "hate" will come out? If he is elected President, the restraints will be off. What will she say then?
Bill Clinton would make the best represenative, hands down. Think how much better off we would be when he visits a country and actually knows what he is looking at when he is shown around. He could come back and tell the President what is really happening in that country. You have to know that he will be shown around by a very high ranking person in that country. Makes me feel safer. I'm sure if anyone would stop and think about how much better off we would be, he would have to make your feel safer, than someone that know nothing about the world or someone who just became proud of their country.
Without a doubt Mrs. McCain. She presents herself with dignity, charm a sense of style and elegance. Most importantly, she IS PROUD of her (OUR)country. SHE, is definitely a LADY.
She is soft spoken, remains in the background without trying to "up stage" (so to speak) her husband. That's how it should be. Senator McCain is the candidate.
I am sorry but I do not see Michelle Obama as the first lady of this GREAT nation. In contrast, she appears to lack the attributes aforementioned with regard to Mrs. Mccain, and I agree, in total agreement, with the negatives regarding Michelle Obama that others of you have mentioned.
What amazes me is how a great legal reporter like Greta has now descended to just another political commentator always re-hashing the same stuff and focusing on stuff like this. Whatever happened to the great legal reporting from your past, Greta? Get off stuff like this and go back to what you do best.
why havent we heard the comments mrs obama made on the larry king show when she made the comment she didnt think she could support mrs clinton as she didnt agree with her policys/evidently the news media feels it would harm the obama campaign.all news media seems to give him their support and are after hillary.
Mrs. McCain seems kinder and gentler. I think she would represent ALL Americans.
I believe Cindy McCain would make the best first 'spouse' because we have enuff democrats going around the world telling them how bad we are. We sure as hell dont need a first lady/gentleman doing it too.
As Barack Obama has said..." The media is just showing the "snippets" of Rev. Wright's speeches. My question is:
" Why would this family who campaigns on "CHANGE" put up with this mentality and hate for 20's years unless thats what one beleives in." In the 20's years they attended this church, i am sure alot of so called "snippets" were heard through the years. Sounds like Chicago politics at work again. Lie/deny and you win. I am sure the Chicago politicians are in line already licking their chops for favors and federal jobs if Obama becomes the 44th President of the USA.
Mrs. McCain looks like she would be a classy first lady and would serve as first lady with pride and respect for her country. People better wake up in the general election. This election means more then just the Iraq war.
We need Bill in there to help Hillary get this country back on track. This country is in such a mess they are the only ones that even comes close to having enough experience to get us back on track. BARACK HUSSAIN is just a fancy car sales man slick with his words and tells the public just what they want to here and has no clue how to do what is needed. The people dont know this guy he is just putting on a show to get elected.
Looks like MR. CLINTON would make a nice FIRST MAN.
Mrs. Obama doesn't respect this country and what it stands for
enough......I would hate to see the White House get trashed.
I don't know anything about Mrs. McCain....she seems like
a good little wife standing in the shadows of her husband. I met Rep's who
would not vote for McCain based on what she looks like....I am not
too sure what they meant exactly...maybe a like a loose woman.
Mrs.McCaine shows the same poise and class as Jackie O and Nancy R...
Mrs. Obama does not show any class with the hate and lack of respect she has
and Impeaching Bill as 1st Lady would be harder than when he was pres.
Former President and First Spouse Bill Clinton would honor this country as he has so often in the past. Our country was in much better shape under his leadership and we could certainly use his political savvy again! His wife is also politically savvy and the two of them are an amazing and formidable team! I hope we can experience their help again as we so sorely need it.
Mrs. McCain is untested and unproven but I'm sure she is a gracious person and a true American and therefore would be a wonderful representative of this country as well.
Michelle Obama is an insult to this country and has no problem spewing her biased remarks in this country; I hate to think what she may say in any other country!! I certainly do NOT want her representing this great country under any circumstances!!!!!!!!
You wackos. Michelle Obama did not say that she hates this country or hates white people. Open your minds, even if you don't want to vote for Obama. Don't be a hatemonger.
I think that either Cindy McCain or Michelle Obama would be just fine. Bill Clinton with all that time on his hands......uh, no thanks..
“There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost. “
What if Cindy McCain said this, only substituted white for black? Michelle Obama is a racist and would be an embarassment to the United States.
how can you let a black person sleep in our white house we can't let those little yard ape kids run around on that beautiful front lawn they might start to believe they are free. KEEP THEM IN THEIR PLACE "The Ghetto"
mrs mccain, bill or obammy is ridiculous!
Mrs. Obama will make a fine first lady! She has no prior addictions to drugs (pain killers) and she is not an adulter. CASE CLOSED!!!
Even though I am supporting McCain for president, I think of the choices offered in the poll, Clinton has the experience and understanding of the international community to best represent the US - only if he can keep his pants zipped.
Former President Clinton has had problems in the past but is loved by many and is really loved and respected in foreign countries. My husband and I have done alot of traveling overseas and he is regarded as one of our best presidents. I feel he could be a great asset if used wisely.
correct Betty ..under Bush a man making 30k a year pays 1/2 what he paid in taxes under Bill Clinton, if 9/11 had happen under Bill's taxing and big government economy then we would have seen a depression for the last 8 years not more money in every American's pocket as we have with Mr Bush
Mrs. McCain presents herself well. Mrs. O. has made some gaffs. Bill is too absorbed with himself.
Several of you speak of hate and anger associated with Mrs. Obama however you obviously have not read your own comments about Mrs. Obama. Class, why class? Mrs. McCain is far from perfect. Why did she need drugs? I am glad she was able to overcome the addiction however best representation for US should not just be based on a pretty face and body. She and Mr. McCain were married only 1 month after his divorced. Well, it is good people grow and change and are not always judged on the past.
God help us all if Bill is the "First Man"... a total shame! Obama's wife? Well, I assume she's attended the same church that Barak has and has heard the same racial rhetoric that he's heard. While I truly feel there is no great Presidential candidate, and NO, I am NOT a racist, I have to go with the more conservative McCain... for pro-life issues, which is my #1 concern. If we can't respect those who have no voice, how can we respect those who do? Blessings... Red
Mrs. McCain? Are you people crazy? Read her biography in Wikipedia. She's a homewrecking junkie whore! She would be the worst possible example of what America stands for. Why not Paris Hilton, Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan in that case? They all have the same moral standing.
I agree with what Austin J. Ferguson said about Michelle Obama. No Michelle Obama please.
I don't want Bill Clinton to have access to the Oval Office. I want to protect the interns.
I want a first lady who is proud of our country.
Mrs McCain is my choice. We need to get to know more about her. I assume the Press will get numerous opportunities to interview her in the future. Mr. Clinton? Take a hike. Mrs O, she's not ready for primetime.
MRS. MCAIN HAS OR HAD A DRUG PROBLEM, SHE IS ALSO ANEREXIC! I THINK SHE WORLD BE UNDER TOO MUCH PRESSURE, THAT IS PROBABLY WHY SHE DOES NOT SPEAK TOO MUCH IN PUBLIC. M OBAMA IS A HATEFUL PERSON (READ THE PAPER THAT SHE WROTE WHEN SHE WENT TO PRINCTON U) SHE WOULD BE A DISGRACE TO OUR WONDERFUL COUNTRY! BILL I THINK WOULD BE BEST TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY AGAIN.........
Oh, Please!!! You gotta be kidding... you really want another Betty Crocker for first lady????!!!! We need a strong first spouse in the White House.. and who better than former president Bill Clinton. The economy NEEDS the Clintons more now than ever before!!! Every "pundit" knows that the Clintons are to the economy what peanut butter is to jelly!!!! GO Hill and Bill!
Please no more Clinton's in the White House. We have suffered enough embarrassment with their White House housing.
Mrs. Obama does not seem sure she loves the United States yet, or her love is very recent. We don't need her attitude in the White House.
Mrs. McCain is our candidate. She is charming and gracious and would give us a great deal of pleasure in representing the citizens of the United States.
Bill Clinton, ofcourse. We need to bring back the economy, stupid.
Mrs. McCain has a graciousness that is natural, unaffected, and she has no competitiveness in relationship to her husbands leadership. She is at ease in her supportive role, and will never be a cause for embarassment to our nation. She would make us proud to look to her as our First LADY...she is a genuine thoroughbred. Sweet, gentle, poised , dresses in good taste, not flamboyant...all that one could ask for in a the leading lady for our country.
She portrays honesty, wisdom, and tasteful femininity...lovely to look at, too.
Mrs. Mccain....no way! she looks to high maintenence. she'll spend too much tax $ on drapes and fine china.
Mrs. Obama...no way! she just hates this country too much, i dont think leopard print and palm trees will go well in the oval office.
Mr. Clinton...YES! he's been there done that, he has the experience to step right in and address the issue America so desperately needs addressed. he's got the clout and the know how to get the job done. This country has no time to waste for On The JOB Training!
GO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs. McCain would be best,by far. she is an elegant, lovely lady that would be such an asset to our country. Mrs. Obama or Bill Clinton would be an embarrassment.
Micheal #266. You must be on drugs. M. Obama sits in a church with her racist husband for almost 20 years listening to a racist pastor, says she's proud of her country for the first time & you think she'd be the best first lady? Yea, you're on drugs!
This was a really hard one to choose. All three have negatives. I almost voted for Mrs. McCain but I just couldn't get by the trophy wife thing. Michelle Obama is going to be a problem for Barack. We all know Bill's problems. I ended up choosing Bill because of the novelty and because he knows so many people all over the world.
MRS. McCAIN. She seems more wholesome than the other choices and upon my honest observation carries hersels well. Pray For America
Bill Clinton would be "one sharp cookie" with so much past experience. I just don't think their marriage could take another "intern event". He really should stay out of the White house. Maybe Hillary's daughter will be the first female president. And maybe her husband will set a better stage for her than her Father did for her Mother. Follow me?
Mrs. McCain for sure. People need to remember Bill left us in debt. Ronald Regan go us out of the mess left by Carter. Mrs Barac Husainn Obama hates her counrt, yet she has risen far in this raciest country.
Mrs.Macain,by all means and her husband ,John will be elected our next President. Its just memt to be, to keep up the work of staying the course, regardless of what it takes to do so.
Mrs. McCain for First Lady! She honors our country. We hope Michelle Obama isnt the one in the White House...she is a disgrace, to say what she's been saying about our beloved country. Shame on her. It's pretty evident that Wright's sermons taught her to think like this. If Obama wins the presidency, Michelle may be the one running the White House. Lord, help us!
I have to commend FOX news, and I am a DEM, for the fairness
in their reporting on the democratic primaries. CNN and MSNBC have
been treating Obama with kids gloves and giving more him positive
air time that is unwarranted. I have lost respect for their coverage. KUDO's FOX.
Actually Mrs. McCain reminds me kinda of a stepford wife. The way she stares at him with an expressionless and weird eyes is kinda spooky.
Cindy McCain. with out a doubt ...anyone that brings back a dying sick baby girl from a 3rd world country to love as her own gets my vote.
I think Mrs. McCain is adorable, intelligent and I love the pride she has for our country and the obvious love she has for her husband.
We must keep the Clintons out of the White House!
Pat you are an embarrassment!! You slam Rodeo Queens and people who own ranches in Nevada!! Shame on you! You've probably eaten beef grown by one of those ranchers! Thank God they are there! I love beef! AND I used to be a Rodeo Queen!!!!~
Obama and Clinton will fair well, but McCain seems so unreal and fake.... McCain is beautiful person and is probably a refelection of Hollywood not us Americans as a whole.
It appears your viewing audience is not large enough to be representative of a true reflection of how America feels.
Clearly Obama and Clinton have the experience to the best job.
My vote is for Mrs. McCain. She's a warm, loving wife and mother. She's a humanitarian and she loves this wonderful country in which we live. Who better?
Mrs. Cain would be a very gracious First Lady - a lady with class just like the present First Lady, Laura Bush. For the "record" Bill Clinton can thank Ronald Reagan & G.H. Bush for the good economy he got to take credit for...took longer than previously thought to turn the economy around after the fiasco of Jimmy Carter. Besides, when did Bill have time to run the country ?!
It is hard to believe that Mrs. M is leading in this poll. The electorate cannot be serious. I heard her speak only when she was prompted to do so in response to Mrs. O's comments. We need a walking, talking, breathing woman in the White House. Not a stepford robot. C'mon this IS the 21st Century. There are so many important issues that the first lady can advance. One of the commentators said her interest was in re/decorating the White House. Get a grip y'all! Our children need an alive role model.
NOT MRS. OBAMA
Clinton/Clinton '08
You've got to be kidding............hands down it's Mrs. McCain.....
Mrs. Obama can take her 'for the first time I'm so proud' and go home with it.
AND the last thing I want is that freeloader back sleeping in the White House.
mrs. mccain no experience in that field.
mrs. obama, give me a break, she hates the usa, is not proud of the country.
mr. clinton by a mile, the question is realy onfair to the girls he got by far the most experience and well liked in the world, and he loves the country
I just want bill clinton for a third term. I had job back then and money in my pocket.
MICHELLE OBAMA IS A RACIST ! She (and her husband) are entirely too educated to "not know" what they said, meant,or pawned off on staffers/Pastors.
Its crystal clear,Mr. Obama was raised by a racist, married a racist,is raising his kids to be racist AND worships as a racist. It walks like a DUCK.
Karma is sweet!
Lord helps us If Mrs Obama gets in the whitehouse, she doesn't like our country.I don't think I would feel comfortable with her or Barak
I hadn't thought of the presidency in terms of first lady, but it becomes clear when you think of the two women and Pres. Clinton. I think President Clinton would have a hard time being #2 in the White House. Mrs. McCain would add class and dignity to the position. I worry a little about Mrs. Obama. Is she really proud of the U.S. now?
While ignoring bias, far-Left, NY Times style spin propaganda lies that a few in this forum are trying to spread, I would like to state that I think Mrs. McCain has demonstrated that she would make a first class First Lady. The proof is in all of her positive comments about how proud she is to be an American.
Bill Clinton by far. He may have had some moral issues but his affair is between Hillary and Bill, just as any other marriage in America. He still had our economy in better shape than it had been in years. Obama's wife hates America, has never been proud of America, so to me this is alot worse than anything Bill Clinton ever done or said.
Bill's the one. Experience. Knowlege. Been there, done that. Knows how far to push, likes, dislikes and probalby has some insider info that will help further along our troubled nation in these times. Can't say that about the other "first wives".
It will be Hillary bar the door (of the Oval Office) if Bill returns to the White House via his wife. Bill Clinton had his time in the spotlight and blew it.

Cindi all the way what a lady!!!!!! I see people saying she doesnot talk its not her time to talk she will!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it just me, or does the "spontaneous" jubilation for Wright remind us of the joy expressed by the black population when O.J. was found not guilty. Why Greta wastes her time trying unsuccessfully to find a member of Wright's church who might perceive Wright's venom as the hateful trash that it is, baffles me.
gen,
Do you really think Michelle Obama or even worse Bill Clinton would be a shining example of role models? You're funny!!!
I think Mrs. McCain is such a supporting spouse and she has the class that we all hope the spouse of the President will process. She loves the USA and does not try to say things untrue as far as I can tell.
To floyd lopez, and the rest of the michelle Obama haters who are spanish saying all these rediculous things how blind can you be.Those that you defend or are trying to put in the white house, It's those same people who want to send you back over that fence, across that water. Ect. Oh! But until then. They will have you cut their grass or clean their houses. They never will as long as they are in total power, will care about your struggles, or how you really feel! You will never get ahead or even have a fair shake.Think about it? You better stop all that Sillyness! The only one running who can help you, is The Obamas! You better wake up and stop being so Ignorantly Blind who else running knows how it is to be discriminated against? I didn't think so!!!! Obama 08" The only one to move America Forward.
MRS.OBAMA DOESN'T HAVE THE ELGNANCE,SENSITIVITY AND SHE IS VERY AROGANT.IN HER INTERVIEWS SHE SAID ALREDY BY HER SELF THAT SHE IS NOT LIKE ALL THE OTHER FIRST LADIES ,WHICH IS TRUE .AMERICA IS ABOUT ELEGANCE.WE DON'T REALLY WANT TO BE REPRESENT BY SUCH PERSON ,WHO SAT WITH HER HUSBAND IN TRINITY CHURCH.
I don't know why Greta has these stupid polls regarding the left and the right. She already knows most of her viewers are on the right so she knows where these polls are going. Here's the spin.....She'll come on air and say, "Americans think Mrs. McCain is the best first spouse" yadi, yadi, ya. I only listen to fox to see what the right is up to. I'm going back to MSNBC and CNN.
At this time in history, we need the best brains & the most experience available in the executive branch. In spite of the radical right's efforts to eliminate him from the national scene, he is still adept at bringing diverse people together & will definitely enhance his wife's administration. (The radical right just cannot get its mind off of sex.) Therefore, Bill Clinton as Hillary Rodham's partner will contribute much more than either Cindy McCain (makes a good model but hasn't much to contribute otherwise) or Michelle Obama (smart enough to not tell the truth about her and Barak's racial bias, although she hinted at it when she said this is the first time she has felt really proud of our country).
Mrs.McCain of course...Maybe Bill and the Obama witch can shack up at Motel 6
Mrs. McCain no doubt.
Bill had his chance and showed us he can't behave when left home alone.
M. Obama. Ha! Only if you want to see state dinners for the likes of Rev Wright, L. Farrakahn, or the Black Panther Party. She is a bitter hag who thinks that america owes her something because she is a black. I live in Illinois I have seen this witch at work before. It ain't pretty.
my vote is Bill Clinton
#59werejag - You have the IQ of a Titsy Fly. DUFUS!!! Gotta bring color into don't you. NO I take it back, the Titsy Fly is smarter. Sorry Mr. Fly!
Talk about drugs, since someone brought it up, how come Ms Obama is always twitching her nose like other "sniffers". Hmmmmm, makes you wonder. Ms McCain is classy enough she simply stands by her man, and not try to be a hinderance. She has done so many wonderful helpful things in her life to help others. Can't see Ms Obama or Hillary looking classy at all!
I'm not a Clinton fan at all.
However, among the three, I think Bill would do a good job. As much as I hate to say it, he is very charismatic and people of the world seem to like him.
Among the ladies...
I think Mrs. McCain would make a classy and most elegant First Lady.
Michelle Obama scares me. It's very hard to say what she would bring to the White House or what her agenda would really be.
I definitely think Mrs McCain would make the best first lady. She is poised, dignified, gracious and elegant. A first lady should be all of the above. She represents what a first lady should be. She can control her tongue and not put her foot in her mouth and is refined. I think the recent revelation of Obamas pastor's thinking is revealed in Mrs Obama's statement that she is finally proud to be an American, now that a black person may be president.
What has that got to do with anything? May the best man always win whether black or white. Our founding fathers were white who formed our inspired constiution. Is she not proud and appreciative of them? I feel Obama is hiding his true feelings to become president. You can't listen to that pastor for 20 years and not be influenced by it. People say what ever they think will get them elected. They are called sooth sayers. Give me McCain, he has no skeletons in his closet and neither does his wife and speaks the truth.
Are you kidding me? Mrs McCain is a Sweetheart!!!
All three get a pass from me for past issues. However, I do believe that I would prefer to have the elegant Mrs. McCain be the role model for my daughters and grandaughters.
I clearly remember the wonderful influence Jackie Kennedy was for us young girls back in the 60's.
Be the lady that you are. Love yourself, your family and your country UNCONDITIONALLY.
Simple...ABC (Anybody But Clinton) Mrs. McCain hands down.
Cindy McCain has beauty, grace, class, poise and intellligence. No doubt she would be the best of any three in representing our proud nation as first lady.
Bill, it should be noted, has no problem representing himself well overseas as far as his financial well being is concerned. As far as representing our nation, he trashes us often enough.
Michelle, I think she would be a good representative for Idi Amin's Uganda or maybe Liberia, you think???
This poll is definitely not representative. This seems to be a pro=McCain, i.e., pro-war crowd.
I agree with Romney who said he could not believe that the American people wanted Clinton to be roaming around in the White House again. As for Ms. M, she seems pathetic.
I did not know what a wonderful lady Mrs. McCain was until I saw her and her husband in Birmingham. She has outstanding credentials and would make a great first lady. Senator, you should let all citizens know what an asset she is to you as you did in B'HAM. Nan
Mrs. McCain, by far is the only one who would do a superb job as "First Lady".She is a beautiful, classy lady who would be a great asset to the President. I pray she will get the opportunity to be in that role!
Bobbie

In response to #321... I'm a Christian, an RN, and have high morals. However, due to chronic pain I've had for many years, I myself have been addicted to pain killers... legitimate prescriptions. Eventually 1 doesn't take care of the pain, so you take 2. Did I know better than to let this happen? SURE! But, when you're in horrible pain, you do what you have to do, especially if it affects your work and life. I never take prescription meds before or during my work-time. But I'm sorry, Excedring and Aleve just don't take care of the pain. I'm currently in treatment for the CAUSE of the pain... I tried this in '06, and the doctor treated the wrong disc, so here I am 2 yrs later still dealing with horrible pain. I'm on my feet for 12 hrs while working, and I'm telling you, I look forward to taking my prescription, as it's the only thing that helps. So... I am not familiar with Mrs. McCain's drug use... I work nights and sleep days, so haven't been able to watch the news much recently, but I DO understand prescription med use and abuse. I'm coming thru it fine, and my physician knows that I will need to be weaned off of these meds when I'm done with my treatments. This doesn't make me a bad person... I WANT off of them, but admit that I don't look forward to the unpleasantness of the process. Not angry with what you said, just stating my feelings as one who has experienced it firsthand. Blessings... Kathy
Mrs.McCain by far, she is a classy Lady and would make a terrific First Lady. I pray that Michelle Obama will have no chance of invading our White House. I pray that she will change her opinion of our Country or maybe she should go to another country so she can be happy. Drop Out Obama
#78TIA you may want to teach some of your retoric to MRS. O!
Mrs.McCain by far, she is a classy Lady and would make a terrific First Lady. I pray that Michelle Obama will have no chance of invading our White House. I pray that she will change her opinion of our Country or maybe she should go to another country so she can be happy. Drop Out Obama
DID ANYONE HERE REMEMBER HOW CINDY MET JOHN MCCAIN? EXCUSE ME.......BUT HE WAS A MARRIED MAN! HOW MANY WIVES HAS MCCAIN HAD??? SHE'S A FREAKING TROPHY WIFE AND A HOMEWRECKER FOR GOD SAKE! READ ALL ABOUT THEM AND THEN DECIDE.........
What truly amazes me is that most of you spouting about Pastor Wright and that church are teh same ones swearing Obama was a Moslem. Just trade one smear for another, don't you?
If you want a well run country elect Clinton, and I'm certain Bill will get more done by a long shot. Its nobodies business what goes on behind close doors, especially when it comes to presidential legacies.
Mrs. McCain reminds me of the stepford wives. spooky!
THIS IS SURELY A NO-BRAINER. MRS. MCCAIN WOULD BE A GRACIOUS FIRST LADY JUST AS LAURA BUSH HAS REPRESENTED US. MRS. OBAMA HATES WHITES, THIS COUNTRY ETC. IF SHE DOESN'T LIKE THIS COUNTRY, NOBODY IS FORCING EITHER HER OR HER HUSBAND TO STAY HERE. LET THEM GO WHERE THEY CAN RESPECT THAT COUNTRY, NOT HERE. WHAT BRANCH OF SERVICE DID HE EVER SERVE IN ANYWAY? THAT HAS NEVER BEEN MENTIONED IN THIS CAMPAIGN AS IT WAS IN 04. I HAVE ASKED BILL OREILY THIS SAME QUESTION, AND HE NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED ME. WHAT IS EVERYONE SO AFRAID OF? GOD HELP US IF HE GETS IN.

The Legend President William Jefferson Clinton.
Once again, America she so Proud........I hear a Liberty Bell.......
~GOD BLESS us ALLl~
In reviewing Fox News, I have found the commentators to very racial & still trying to cause a racial division in this country.....very Republican!!!
We do not need Mrs.O in the Whitehouse, she is too much REV. WRIGHT.
Mrs.McCain dresses too young ,not classy, like Mrs. Bush.
So i guess i would say Bill he's not loud ,and he loves America, and he dresses
nice for his age.
The Legend President William Jefferson Clinton.
Once again, America she so Proud........I hear a Liberty Bell.......
~GOD BLESS us ALL~
I don't know what to think but I'm scared to have the Obama's in the whitehouse. It's not a good choice for them to run our country.
I leave it up to God, He is in control.
#241 Lisa, Florida....I agree 100%....If Hillary doesn't win the nomination because of the Pro Obama coverage, I also will be voting for McCain and they can say all they want that Dem's won't crossover in the Gen Election, but they are wrong, Yes we will!
First of all, thinking that Michelle Obama is anti-American is absurd. Michelle would be a fresh face in the White House. She is a very accomplished strong intelligent woman that understands the value of raising her children. Her experience is an American experience… just of another shade… and what is wrong with that? Most of you could not imagine the experience of us growing up as Black children never imagining that a Black person could be president, so how could you relate to the hopefulness that she trustingly shared with the public. Instead, many of you choose to call it hatred towards America. If you have seen any interviews of her, you would know what a great women she is. Her focus would be on family, which is not focused on enough these days. Bill Clinton is getting old, and has already hindered Hillary’s progress by putting his foot in his mouth many times. I couldn’t imagine him pestering us with that full time. And McCain’s wife… too made up and not real enough. GO OBAMAS!!!
THe spouse question is important. If Bill Clinton lives in the white house, will it again be turned into a whore house? When Bill Clinton ran against Bush, I used to say it was a tough choice. George Sr. could not read his own lips, and we did not know where Clintons lips had been!
Mrs. McCain will be best - GOD HELP THE USA IF THE OBAMAS EVER GET IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!
Vince - Naperville, IL, right and the islamic on 9/11 loved america too just like rev Wright ans Mrs O
Mrs. McCane is definatly the classy one.
to G-MAN # 367--- You and the Obama's are racists & should go find another country in which to live
By: Doug | Apr 01, 22:18
Let's see,,,I have never been proud of my country,,,,I only stayed with my husband so I can use him to get to the white house,,,I have always been proud of my country,,, hmmmmm!
Doug, I see you made sure you stated Mrs. McCain words correctly, but put words she never said in Mrs Obama' mouth. She never said, "I have never been proud of my country". When did Mrs Clinton say or imply "I only stayed with my husband so I can use him to get to the White House"?
Hummmmm, your remarks reveal just how obtuse you are.
I am surprise that Former President Clinton is not ahead on this pol.
Wake up America we are missing a great moment in the history of this country!
The Clintons feel a sense of entitlement to the office of Preisdent. President Clinton was a disgrace and the only reason the economy was in good shape was because of the Republican Congress. Hillary continues to lie about her experience and situations she encountered. Hillary and Obama have absolutely no experience in foreign affairs while John McCain could write the book on it. I can guarantee that with a clinton or obama in the White House we will be attacked again because they do not believe in staying on the offensive. Their tactic is "if we leave them alone, they will leave us alone". Completely ignorant and oblivious.
I will do everything, as a flight attendant, to make sure my airplane is never used as a weapon as mass destruction. The powers I have as a flight attendant will go away if clinton or obama are elected president. I will no longer be able to arrest people onboard airplanes because of their "rights".
If the public wants higher taxes, less personal responsibility, and more government control....vote for obama or clinton. They will satisfy your needs.
If you want to feel protected (like we have for the past 6 1/2 years) and have lower taxes....vote for John McCain....a true American hero....not a draft dodger or someone who associates with someone who damns American.
Not knowing people you can only judge by their speech and actions. There is only one who projects the true spirit of our country. Mrs. McCain
We need a first lady who loves her country and will represent our country in a favorable light to both the citizens of this country and the world. We need a first lady who is thankful for the blessings that our country gave her and will help make our country's short comings better. We do not need one who can only love our country when her husband gets nominated to be president and does not appreciat the freedoms education which she has been able to enjoy. Can you imagine the conversations with representatives of the foreign countries which she will help host?
Mrs.Obama by far she tells whats in her heart and hides nothing, mrs.mccain looks like a snake and a crack addict
If God answers our cry "God Bless The USA" it will be Mrs. McCain!
#172 ANONYMOUS - Have you forgotten all of those we SAVED from the torture in IRAQ? Why not speak to a soldier who has been over there and see the excellent work their doing. Kinda forgot the human beings in Iraq huh and the pain and torture they endured??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUFUS - gotta calls um as I sees em
Bill Clinton has been doing great humanitarian work around the world fighting AIDS as well as helping out during Hurricane Katrina with former President Bush. I just wish we had the media coverage back in the 60s like we do today when the Kennedys were occupying the White House and we would have known about all of Jack's indiscretions!
Have you noticed that the African Witch has disappeared since her telling comment that she has never been proud of our great nation until enough idiots elevated a half-African male to a potantial Presidential candidate? They know they have a HUGE problem with this hateful woman, and they have hidden her away, just like the Clintons used to do with Hillary. Honestly, can anyone with any brains or American pride even IMAGINE either of those clowns (Clinton or B. H. Obama) in the White House? Horror of horrors!!! Clinton is an imbecile. Obama will set the pitiful race relations back 50 years. He is certainly no uniter. He is the worst kind of Liberal, and will severly damage our Republic if given the chance. The Obama woman is a Typical Angry Black (and I do mean Black) Female who thinks she is Entitled to something just because of her color! Put it this way...do you want White Trash (Clintons) or Typical Black Racists (Obamas) in our White House?????? Really now. McCain is no where near Conservative enough, but AT LEAST his wife will make a proper First Lady. Note to Mrs. Obama...you first have to be a "lady" to be a proper First Lady.
Corrine
call me a fly brain if you want but i noticed you didn't address the real issue. you would never have voted for a black woman or man you like the rest of the white racists here hide behind other issues.
#173 TIA - REAL classy comment! You obviously DON'T KNOW any ladies!
Let's pray to God that the next First Lady at the very least loves our country, and is proud of America! I can only envision Mrs. McCain as the First Lady, as opposed to the other spouses.
S. Gallion, you fool. Doug is right. Are you S. Gallion so illiterate that you can't read. The Obama's are blatant racist. Hilliary has her own selfish agenda. S. Gallion wake up. The Obama's would be an absolute embarrassement to this country. If they hate the U.S. so much then let them live in Africa. It is obvious that they do love that country.
People keep saying Cindy McCain is "classy" because she has been presented as a silent (mostly) polished presence, good-looking and quiet. However, wasn't she a rather "un-classy" woman at one time, having an affair with John while his first wife was terribly ill, and didn't they marry after he divorced his ailing spouse? That isn't especially classy.
Wow!!!!!!!!!! Why would so many Americans vote for Mrs McCain when we have a very seasoned former president who could definetly help the direction of our new President. This is worse than Obama's bowling game. America, lets wake up and and stop throwing Obama gutters.
I think Mrs. McCain is too predictable. I think Bill would remind us of the past. I think if Mrs. O gets into the White House, she will be enlightened about America's greatness; thus this experience would lend itself an opportunity for Mrs. O experience to the best America has to offer. Mrs. O can then spread her added views about America.
Mrs. McCain would be a very good representative for our nation. Bill Clinton is a joke and Mrs. Obama does not even love her country. The one that afforded her a very comfortable life of privilege.
Has Mrs. McCain ever said anything? As far as Mrs. Obama, they have shut her up these past months too! BUT, as soon as former President Clinton opens his mouth the press is all on it.
#403 Listen Buddy~ Both these men HAVE BRAINS, unlike you with one the size of a pea. (FYI) the white house was not a virgin before Clinton! Get a life dude!!
Mrs. McCain would be a fine first lady and Bill Clinton is internationally loved. No to Obama, Barack or Michelle.

I'll just state two sentences because your statement is not worth more time or space that this! Our founding fathers considered Black people to be less than human. So, you must be proud and appreciative of that!!
#269 KENNY C - Intelligent AND anti-American - YUP Kenny - A GREAT COMBO!
It seems many do not know of all the good she has done. It would be wise to let the people know. She's courageous, intelligent, caring, giving and humble. Her love of America, and what our flag stands for, is shown by her actions, and all her accomplishments. She will be a fine first lady of our great country.
I see that many are still hung on the Rev Wright comments and still don’t get it, even thought Obama explained it well… I guess you really are not trying to understand. Of those who have passed negative judgment on Rev. Wright due to the slant of the media, how many have heard one of his sermons in its entirety? Probably very few. Please seek full understanding of the whole man that Obama describes before you judge him. When you seek this, you will find frustration and anger… not hatred and racism. This man isn’t some angry preacher that has been sitting in a church on the south side of Chicago. He is well respected amongst Christian ministers WORLDWIDE. His ministry has reached all parts of the globe learning of social struggles in places you have never heard of much less been to. These Christians are of all colors. He not only learns their cultures, he speaks their languages, studies their histories, and bridges a connection with us here. Be fair to yourself, him, and Barack Obama. Listen to a whole sermon before you pass judgment.
I have been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ for many years before Obama’s candidacy brought it to the forefront. I can honestly say, like Barack, Rev. Wright married my wife and me and he baptized my child also. As a Black American who has worked hard as a professional to build a career and support my family, I have experienced much racism that has been nagging obstacles. I have not used racism as a crutch or gone out here looking for racism … racism has knocked on my door and threatened my American Dream that I have worked VERY hard for. Many White Americans couldn’t imagine what I have experienced. Most experiences are common for many Black Americans. It can be subtle micro-insults by Whites daily or larger occurrences such as a realtor attempting to steer you from a community where services and quality of life are the best because they don’t personally want you there. Even with all of this, we continue to pursue the American Dream with a Christian mindset and without hate. If you listen to Rev. Wrights sermons, you will find sometimes that he rants, like the news has shown over and over, but he offers a Christian solution for us coming together and working together. That is the part they conveniently left out. Many of us Black American men seen others leave the home leaving Black American women to raise our children alone. Not to say that it doesn’t happen in other homes, but it is like the plague in the Black community. One of Rev. Wright’s sermons that stays in my head and keeps me strong is describing the role of the father in the home. Many say he is the ‘head’ of the house like a ruler that everyone in the home should serve. Rev. Wright analyzes the Bible on this subject showing how God says that role is more like the ‘point man’ in an army… the one who goes into battle for the family. The one who is willing to face dangers to protect his family. I have shared this concept with many Black men and I can say it helps galvanize the Black family when so many external forces are working to tear it apart. This is one of the MANY teachings of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. This is what Obama speaks of… Different from the critics, I know FIRST HAND.
Lastly, the background on the United Church of Christ Christian denomination; it is primarily White. Trinity is one of the few Black churches within this denomination, and THE largest due to Rev. Wright’s ministries. I have seen many groups of White visitors to this church over the years. Not only White Christians from American churches, but from all over the world! Rev. Wright has traveled the world sharing his respected theology and openly learning the culture of others. If his teachings were as bad as the sound bites indicate, do you think he would have this much support by Whites? When considering Obama’s relationship with Rev. Wright, Americans, this time can we be smarter than the news media and use our
The position of first lady/person is not opened to "on the job training". The jobs president/vice president and first lady are given to those with the right experience.
Mrs. Mc Cain wins.
Your founding fathers were also involved in slavery. Mrs.O for the win!
Corinne--I'm a soldier who was in Iraq. I think you are full of it. You don't have any idea of the hell that everyone goes through over there, military, civliians, Americans, Iraqis. And they aren't even the ones who brought us 9/11! The ones who brought us 9/11 - and Osama Bin Laden--are still alive and free in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Your hero John McCain has been responsible for the death and maiming of an unbelievable number of people. Bomb-bomb-bomb bomb-bomb Iran--what a brilliant statement of diplomacy and statesmanship.
Simply put:
Mrs. McCain= CLASS
ms.obama= whitey-hater
hitlery= LIAR-PIG
I hate white people too doesnt mean i would run the the country poorly most of your presidents hated blacks.
#314 MIKE - Nothing like helping race relations! Your the bad example! To most of us "intelligent" folk, it ISN'T about skin color. BIG DUFUS!

Hey vince #432 of nippleville, you're fill of hot air. bho has not explained anything. he is anti-american like his wife and like his pastor
Hillary and Osoma's skanky spouses may be McCain's best weapon. I just hope John picks a real conservative for VP to take over when he can't finish his first term!
I changed from an Independent to a Democrat so I could caucus for Hillary in IOWA. You better believe I would crossover & vote for McCain if Hillary does not get the nomination.
Dave you have a mind like a steel trap. Nothing can get in or out.
Hey #437. You are a racist pig with the mentality of a roach. Mrs. Hussien Obama has already said she would use all the resources of the White House the help the black community. That is just wrong. The president's wife should be above that kind of gutter mentality. The president should represent all not just blacks, not just white, not just jews etc. I find you very offensive and quite illiterate.
to texsun----steel trap?
#367 GMAN - You you, I can't even find the words. My WHITE Grandmother came here from Hungary and scrubbed floors, most of us who are housewives have done what you consider "menial" jobs. (excuse my spelling please). Do you think the only people who have labor intensive jobs are those of color and us whites have big office corporate jobs. YOUR A 10 STAR DUFUS IF I"VE EVER HEARD ONE! The ignorance in your statements are SO Ignorant that my dog could offer better arguments.
so let me get this right a female that shuts up and doesnt speak her mind is a proper female. this means mrs john W mcbush wins.
#369Marvin - Don't let the door hit you in the a..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#369Marvin - Don't let the door hit you in the a..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow Darrell, # 421, You are the one who should be embarrassed, poor spelling, terrible grammar, and then calling Africa a country? Last time I checked, Africa is a continent, not a country. I'm glad that we're not voting for President based on the spouses of the candidates. If we were, Bill Clinton should win hands down, he's the only one with experience that would be valuable. I really like that Fanny, #422 mentioned that Cindy McCain stole John from his former wife who was very ill at the time they were having an affair. Is this the kind of man we want representing our country?
#397SUE - WHAT!!!!!!!!!!????????????????????????????????????????
Michelle Obama is not Racist and she does not hate America you people gotta be kidding me!! She just said what alot of people feel. You are so closed minded.Try seeing it through her eyes.Walk a mile in her shoes. None of you saying this knows how Discrimination feels or Racism feels especially for a Black Woman in America!! Try asking one. Then shut up and listen to their experiences. before you open your mouth and say some unbiased sentences like that! It really just shows, how little you folks know about how Black people feel.Try being one for a day. Then you'll say I agree! She is so right!!She does not hate America she just spoke off her experiences as a black Woman. I guess the truth is really hurting! Stop being so sensitive and looking at things one way only. You will never get it! looking at it that way! McCain's wife looks like a fake Barbie and she is on drugs. They need to get the "Keating Five" straightened out.And Bill and Hillary need to try to get "Peter Paul" straightened out before trying to keep this cycle of corruption in the white house. Did'nt the bush family do enough of that For 7 years? We real Americans can't take anymore "Uncle" "Uncle" we can't take anymore OBAMA 08' All the way.
#418WEREJAG = We supported Alan Keyes you fly brain! Where were YOU!???? Didn't see any one standing up for him like the racist Obama and his Mrs. Probably didn't like his conservative or Christian views! Obviously your LACK of Christian faith is showing.
Anyone but Mrs. Hussien.
I'm not an Obama supporter, though I will vote for him if he gets the democratic nomination, but I think that loving our country doesn't include loving it warts and all, not when one is in the position to make changes. I also don't think Obama or his wife hate America or are not proud to be Americans, but isn't dissatisfaction with the current conditions what has made all of the candidates run for President in the first place? Indeed, isn't it what makes almost all idealistic politicians run for office? A desire to make changes for the better? It should be a big part of their "why".
My bad; I was thinking of hillary, not billy-boy. In that case it's:
clinton-dung-pile-scum-LIAR-PIG
No doubt Cindy McCain is the CHANGE I am looking for. Nice that the other first spouses are experienced (law school graduates) and active in politics, but I do not buy into "2 for 1" rhetoric. The elected president and our system of checks and balances have run this country just fine. No platforms please for power seeking spouses. Hilary failed miserably with her Health Care reform efforts during Bill's presidency and I believe this country has had enough of the Clintons. And why do you think we haven't heard from Michelle Obama for some time now? Hmmm? Message to White House Interns if Billy returns to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave........RUN !!!!
hmmm if Obama is half white and half black which half is he racist against? oh never, I forgot 1 drop of black blood and your black, a hold over from slavery.
Good one George!
Wow, Todd #450. Ok! I will change country to "...let the Obamas' move to Africa, they do love that continent. " If you want the Clintons' in the White House then it is painfully obvious that you have no morals either. You must be a baby killer to. I don't understand how a man or woman could approve as you do of killing unborn babies.
#435 TEXSUN - I come from a family of Military Men. Never ever heard them complain about their service to this country. You can't join the military, expect benefits, free education, etc, than say "but I just don't want to fight for my country". Its volunteer TEXSUN - GET OUT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT. My husband and father had no choice. It was awful, war always is, but I pity you if you feel those people aren't worth it. Your probably the 1st soldier I'm not proud of.
Mrs. McCain has the embodiment of a very classy first Lady and truly patriotic . Mrs. Obama's unpatriotic comments on the media is truly disconcerting and devisive. I am a naturalized U.S. citizen, I have more unequivocal loyalty and patriotism to this Great American country than Mrs. Obama. I am a registered democrat that will vote for Senator McCain if Senator Hillary Clinton does not win the Democratic nominee.
Just not the utterly unappreciative Mrs. O, please. By the way, can you believe the NATALEE HOLLOWAY comment made by JEREMIAH WRIGHT? Look for it on YouTube. Obama really is the racist and liar in this mess, and this country couldn't care less. I can't believe this group of people are very close to occupying the White House.
Mrs. McCain will be the best choice. Mr. Clinton? Mrs. Obama, the arrogant, opinionated, racist? (just listen to her "pastor" with his hateful racist comments), who's just became proud of her own country because her husband is running for president? The one that went to the best colleges and told college students to go into the service sector instead of finishing school? Humility, dedication and service to her country are not in her portfolio. She HAS NOT earned the right or deserve to be our beloved country's first lady.
#443 TEXSUN - I think you need a lobotomy - hows that?
Former President Clinton has had problems in the past but is loved by many and is really loved and respected in foreign countries. My husband and I have done alot of traveling overseas and he is regarded as one of our best presidents. I feel he could be a great asset if used wisely.
#314
How can you think like this? Keep Children out of your TRASH for BRAINS!!
You need to go get baptized, with your head under for 5 minutes!!
You are a hurting unit, so very sad!!
I'm sorry to be causing you pain, Darrell, #460, but I do have morals. And it is painfully obvious to me that you are a racist republican, just like 66% of Greta's viewers who voted for Cindy McCain as the best potential first spouse.
#452 GMAN - I'm sure its tough on her living in that mansion, earning $300,000 a year. How much did they both give to charities. Hmmmmmmmm! 6% WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Corine I am out, I retired after many years of faithful service to my country. What you don't understand (many things, actually) is that it is the soldier who hates war the most because it is the soldier who experiences it, not people like you who sit home and stir up hate against your fellow Americans. If you can actually read, I never said I didn't want to fight for my country.
Darrell, I forgot to mention that perhaps the morals you have allow for women like Cindy McCain to sleep with married men and I'd trust an African American before I'd trust a junkie with my money!
The Obamas hate whites and America PLEASE SAVE YOUR DENIAL, THAT'S WHERE THEY CHOOSE TO SPEND THEIR SUNDAYS GETTING THEIR WEEKLY FIX ON WHY WE HATE america and whites AND GIVE ALMOST $30000 DONATION TO THAT CAUSE LAST YEAR
McCain has been standing in the shadows waiting to reign over the RUINS of his predecessor and in agreement with his policies.
President Clinton welcome back
You Republicans getting on President Clinton I guess you like what you see when you look around at what your Party has given us and are ready to sink lower
Obamaspoormama---how witty. At least I have a brain to perform one on. Can't say the same for you dude.
Perhaps because of His past personal actions, people have decided they do not like Hillary. However, President Bill Clinton was and is a Great Statesmen, He is warmly regarded across the globe. We seem to be the only Nation holding a grudge against our former President. His Wife is also world renowned and is still warmly and happily accepted by our fellow countries. America would be foolish to elect any but Hillary Clinton, She has a proven ability to lead, and to push for the right things to be done, not just as a Senator, but in Her life's works. The Clinton family has weathered good times and bad, haven't we all ? They had to go through it in public, they have proven to be a strong family and the fact that they have come through everything and still have the love and respect for one another could be a lesson for some of those people , who, if problems arise, decide to run the other way. The Clinton's are a very strong family, and they have always done what they could to lift up this country. They are Living the American Dream, He grew up to be President, She dared to dream when she was a little girl, because face it folks, there were a lot of people who would have laughed at her, no Woman would be allowed to be President of this country. I had that dream once myself, I said it out loud, and a friend of my Grandfather said to me " You can Never be President, men run this country and the rest of the world, you can be a nurse or a teacher, but never President. I suspect there are many men who still feel that way. I am voting for Hillary Clinton, I almost got sucked up into the campaign concert tour of NOBAMA. I have since learned that he and his pastor and from what is being implied, the entire black church community, that they are all Racists toward anyone that isn't black, and perhaps hate our country as well. I am afraid what would happen to this country if be was is charge. So if Hillary is not the Dem nominee, I will be voting for another hundred years in Iraq, yes I will vote for Senator McCain, who by the way, seems to run on " I was a P.O.W., you should vote for me.", and don't get me wrong, I am truly grateful for our men and women in uniform and hold them in the highest regard, but it will be a sad day for me if I have to vote for another four years of BUSH. Life in America was good when President Clinton was in the Whitehouse, yes they tried to impeach Him, because He lied when they asked Him questions that were none of their business, had absolutely nothing to do with running the country, and seemed to be the only way to blackball an otherwise Excellent Presidency. Both of the Clinton's, no matter what you think of their personal life, which really is none of your business, are Real Americans. Loyal to this Country, It's people and Her place in this world. I am looking forward to Bill as "First Gentleman" and I know He will be a wonderful embassador for our nation to the rest of the world, they know Him they still like him and he made friends with many leaders. I would vote for him again if he could run for office again, we gotta get rid of that stupid law, that and the electoral college. But I am glad to be voting for Hillary on her own merits, if more people knew about all the great things she has done, maybe they would " LIKE " her more. That really floors me too, people won't vote for her because they don't like her, give me a break, why not ? That is so stupid. They don't like her for some silly little reason, I've heard, "she seems so cold" and "she seems like a _itch" or "she's too short" or other such inane and plain stupid things. The fact is she is a great woman, a fighter for whats right, a survivor in matters both public and private, she has proven herself as a leader and a loyal public servant, she is daring to dream, and I am voting for her. Besides who in the world cares if she isn't overly friendly, the gushy bubbly type makes me sick. She will be a Great President, and make America Great again.
First I would like to say that everyone needs to get off their higher than mighty attitude!! Did not Jesus say "if anyone is without send then cast a stone" Yes what Bill Clinton did was a terrible thing but what he did for our Country was GREAT!! Why all this hate???? I'm sure we all have secrets that we don't want the world to know about. I truly believe that Bill Clinton would be just what we need in the White House if we want things to Change. If Obama would be the VP then in four years he will be ready for President. He really needs more experience.
From a true American who loves this country
Yes, you are sorry, Todd #468. You are wrong on both counts. I am a democrat who will vote republican this year. The Obamas' are racist and have a militant agenda. The Clintons' have a self-fulfilling, private interest agenda. But I do believe they love the U.S. Why is it racist to speak out against the Obamas'? If anyone questions or disagrees with them, he or she is labeled a racist. I am a proud black man who has been married to a white woman for 21 years now. There is not one racist bone in my body. I have worked had all my life and I have never pulled the race card. NOT ONCE!. You need to be very careful about uttering hasty generalizations. John McCain is the only candidate without any selfish motive for running for president.
My only comment is this. What are African Americans, if you are African go back to Africa if you are American, then you are American. My background is German, we don't call ourselves German Americans, we call ourselves Americans. If someone asks me my heritage I say German.
Cindy McCain is the only choice. The other two spouses have already demonstrated, by words and actions, a lack of honor and self control. Michele Obama goes even farther. Not only does she smoulder in contempt and hatred of the United States, but for life in the United States and for us who live it.
#470TEXSUN - No one here EVER said it was a good thing so don't put words in my mouth. As long as there are "people" on this earth there will be war. Its the way its always been and the way it always will be. My point is that it is a volunteer army, navy, etc. and if YOU DON'T want to serve your country in this capacity don't. Do you actually think people WOULD VOTE 4 WAR??? Your statements are foolish. IF I had opted to be a soldier, I'd be experiencing the same thing. When there was no war going on one experiences a steady job, free education, health coverage and after 20 years a nice retirement. My husband left after his service during Vietnam because the service wasn't for him. What I hate is complaining. My father was in big artillery, Sargeant, serving on the front lines during WWII. Never ever did I hear of him complain. I know he suffered greatly, silently, and for those who have served I am grateful. BUT, when one only speaks of the bad and DOESN'T SPEAK of the good that these men and woman are doing, I think it denegrates everything their laying their life on the line for. We have several in our community and I thank every solider for my safety HERE. They are giving those people a new life. We have it so good here we can't even begin to imagine their suffering. IRAN, well what would you do. Sit back and hide in a bomb shelter. We have many enemies and thats what our Brave Men and WOmen have always done and will always do, with pride, love and committment. Through their suffering and sacrifice we are Blessed with peach and safety HERE.
To Darrell # 476, God bless you & yours.
IFOUNDATENSTARDUFUS#446 Your ignorance is so condescending!! look around sweety that is what happens where I stay. They wait by the convenient stores trying to get work. And it's always a white person picking them up for menial work and they do, do menial jobs.Extremly hard work!! And if you don't have the capacity to fathom all that I wrote don't try me. All discimination is horrible in any form.I guess your family has suffered also, sorry for that. But that is why we need something better than that! What is in the white house. And the only dufus is that assertion on your part! You really did'nt have to comment, "Egg mcmuffin head." If I'm a dufus you are that! Sounds just as dumb, as that crap you said. Sorry for your families struggles but watch your mouth! First know what you are talikng about you "Big Dummy" like Fred Sanford called Lamont.LOL ! Now go annoy someone else, I'm done playing with you.
#479 - sorry about my spelling "peace" NOT peach (I should proofread I know)
#479 - sorry about my spelling "peace" NOT peach (I should proofread I know)
#477 Brian. I love what you said. I believe that to be true. I am a black man. The only time my color is ever an issue is with other black people and unfortunately cry , "I didn't get the job because I am black". Blacks, whites, jews etc lose jobs everyday. I really in my heart believe that in most cases it has nothing to do with skin color. I never refer to myself as a black American. I am an American period.
Well then I am sorry, Darrell, and thanks for reminding me of the baby killer comment, mr. hasty generalization.
Pamela A. Radley
your quote
"I am afraid what would happen to this country if be was is charge. So if Hillary is not the Dem nominee, I will be voting for another hundred years in Iraq."
Yes Pamela I am in agreement with you We (my family and friends) Will also vote for McCain if Hillary doesn't get the nomination.
I'm rolling on the floor laughing!!!!!!!!! Your quite funny you know!
#476 being married to a white woman doesn't mean you're not racist, on the contary since racist comes from a position of power or authority maybe you live out your racism everyday in you own home. I'm surprized by all these claim Obama or is pastor is a racist.. kinda hard to see that since they have no power over the people they're alleged to be racist against. Secondly I didn't see any statement Rev. Wright made that was racist... maybe unpatriotic but even thats debateable... not withstanding the rev. how does that translate into Obama being a racist? guilt by assoication? thats just silly... and how does 3 looped video clips equal 20 years of hate? where the proof? oh thats right, you don't need proof just baseless allegations repeated over and over to serve you right winged agenda. I would imagine a black man, who's half white being President does scare alot of the people on this blog, but don't worry guys.. its going be okay
I love you Greta, but Fox is a Right wing station and I knew that the majority of votes would go to McCain. I just don't see why everyone has to bring up Bill Clinton's past. This is terrible unfair. Everything that happens in politics as far as cheating on your spouse should be brought out into the open, then maybe some people could quit dwelling on Bill and Hillary problems. AS far as I'm concern The clintons has more knowledge on how to run this country than all the rest put together. Please stop and think what the next 4 years could be if we don't get someone in the White House that knows what's going on.No doubt about it,My choice is Bill Clinton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Corine thanks for your input on military service. It's always interesting to hear about service from those who have never served (let's see, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, etc) I'll share it with my friends at the Army War College.
#481GMAN - Why Not GET AN EDUCATION!??? I have heard of so many Black Americans on this sight who have succeeded. GO TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT WAS ME LAUGHING AT YOUR OTHER SILLY COMMENTS. YOUR QUITE THE JOKESTER! MCMUFFIN HEAD - I RATHER LIKE THAT.
#440 - Is that your response? That's pretty intelligent! I am one who actually does some research before I form my opinion. From your comment, I see you and most of you have done little research. I hate to disappoint you 'brilliant' folks... Fox News doesn't count for research. Like dumb sheep, you let the media lead you around. Seek to form your own opinion... pick up a book! That is probably why most of you haven't responded to my message. Too many words for you to read.
By the way, Darrell, when I said I was sorry, I wasn't apologizing to you, I meant I am sorry you are going to vote republican. How can you call yourself a democrat and vote for another four years of the same failed policies that McCain represents, in Iraq, in our economy, etc. I can see how voting for a candidate that can't finish his own sentences might appeal to you, but please don't call yourself a democrat. You are no democrat, my friend, you are an idiot! I believe you when you say you don't have a racist bone in your body, they're all stupid bones!
#490 TEXSUN - Your angry with a huge chip on your shoulder. YUP, your the only one who feels anything or knows anything. None of us who have family who served, well, we're just stupid and don't understand. No suffering there. You know what Texsun, your a super "nut" job. I AM PROUD of my husband and Father, however. They ARE the TRUE BLUE American Heroes! Medication might help. You might try looking OUTSIDE yourself once in a while. People like you, I just wonder why you ever stayed in when you hated it so badly. Of course, I just might know why!
George #488. You are totally ignorant of this subject matter. I bought the cds' and I have listened to the sermons in their entirety. When you listen to the entire sermons the racist, anti-american and anti-U.S. government agenda becomes even more evident than in the sound-bites. The Obamas' sat there for 20 years listening to this. They knew what kind of man Wright was and is. If Hussein Obama were our president the militant muslims and the militant Wright supporters would be dancing in the street. I am a black man but I want a safe and sound country for my grandchildren to grow up in. Bill Clinton and Hilliary have a selfish agenda for being president. McCain is the only candidate who has no selfish agenda.
To vince # 492 I just go by what people actually say. I've been to churches of both white & black congregations & it's only been the african american churches that spew such hatred. If we're ever to get past the color of our skins that surly isn't the way.
militarywifeanddaughter: sorry, you're wrong. I didn't hate it. Woulnd't have made it a career if I did. My point is that Corine and people like her on these right wing blogs have no idea of what it is like to go to war, so that makes it easy for them to cry for more war. Obama was the only one with the courage to step up and say, "I don't support this war. Our fight is with Al Quaeda in Afghanistan. They are the ones who brought us 9/11" That's a paraphrase, of course. Many posters on this site just can't see that because he is black and they are truly racist. Just as they cannot/will not see the real woman who is Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton, they have demonized those two women. Which brings us back to the question of presidential spouses, where we all started this.
#490Texsun - Another thing, my husband and father NEVER bragged about their service! Neither do any of the young men in our community who serve. Glad you let us know about all you've done, in detail, with anger, and hate. Nice comment about those who havn't served. Maybe you forgot that the draft was in effect years ago and people made choices. YOUR choice was to stay in. I tried to write you earlier, how I felt, not to make you angry, but thats what you became ANGRY. Is anyone allowed a view or feeling other than the one you ok? I feel rather sorry for you Texsun.
Mike 314, you are a disgrace. What a jerk you are. People like you make me feel ashamed to be white.
9/11 2752 killed in twin towers...to date over 4000 U.S troops killed in Iraq. I'm angry about what happen on 9/11 and we should be seeking Osama Bin Laden, not losing 4000 of our men and women in Iraq in a war for oil under the guise of WMD's. Its time to bring the troops home from Iraq... no more troops for oil, and pursue those responsible for 9/11. Thats what Obama will do as President
#386 sorry to hear about your pain. I will pray for relief for you.
I never saw or read anywhere where Corrine was calling 4 more war. Stated a fact, there WILL BE more war. Just have to read peoples entire posts instead of making assumptions. Neither did she say that she didn't like Obama because of his skin color. Another assumption. Thats what makes people angry ASSUMPTIONS - REading into things, THINGS that aren't there. There are Black Americans that aren't voting for him because of his agenda. Its too bad you don't see him for what he is. As a military man I would think you'd understand what will happen pulling out of Iraq. My husband does though and HE'S an ex military man. Sorry you can't see the truth. War is hell but as long as man lives on this earth there will Never Be Peace. Borack and his fancy words are NOT going to stop WAR. Face the Truth. Its here and always will be. Your looking at a fantisy world that will NEVER exist.
Militarywifeanddaughter: why don't you speak for yourself? Why do you parrot what your ex-military husband says? In fact, why do you even call yourself militarywifeanddaughter, don't you have an identity of your own? Think for yourself, woman!
#500 George - Have you forgotten about the men, women and children tortured by Saddam? Are not the lives that are being changed worth anything. We aren't being repaid in oil by Iraq. I wish we were! They have oil, we need it. They need $ to rebuild and were supplying that. Good exchange.
#503Texsun - Go take a pill and go to bed. Your reallllly getting boring!
I am a great supporter of Mr and Mrs McCain for the mere fact that he is a survivor of the Viet Nam War. In 1968 my dad was in a pit with out his comanding officer, during which period I was born. My mom had no idea if he was alive and he had no idea I was born. At this moment he is fighting for his life against lung cancer that has spread to his brain. HE IS A PATRIOT! When he came home from that war he was spit on by some lowlife. He has never cursed that action or that war. If anyone should have reason it should be one who served there. For that reason I belive the person who should be our president should be a man of great integrity and tenacity. The very things I see in my Dad today and Mr McCain. I realize my motives may be more emotional than most, but shouldn't the love of country be emotional?
like you are exciting and dynamic Penny
#506 b. My thoughts & prayers to you & your family. God bless you & God bless America.
#506B - Your story was very emotional. God Bless You and Your Family. My father was in WWII and died of kidney cancer quite a while back. I hope there is something they can do to help your father. If that "texsun" guy says anything nasty don't let him get to you. He's been attacking everyone for the past 1/2 hour.
#504 yes those lives are worth saving, however the liberation of Iraq wasn't the reason for war by the Bush administration, it was WMD's. I'm not willing to say that 4000 U.S. is a price worth paying. Not to mention all the non-combatants that have died in Iraq. I respect your opinion, however I don't want to see another Ameircan Troop killed in Iraq for this war. If the Iraq people want freedom, let them determine they're own destiny
Hey I haven't been attacking anybody. I was having a dialogue wiht Corine and militarywifeanddaughter jumped in, and then you made a nasty comment to me. Enough of it tonight.
#507 texsun - I'm going to go to bed. Its either that or stay here and get drunk listening to your stinking anger and crap.
#511 Texsun - dialogue with Corrine - is that what you call it? Didn't look like she thought so.
#510 George - I can't believe you'd desert those people? I don't believe our military men and women would either!
It's a little disturbing that the only first lady Americans find acceptable is one that's quiet, in the background, with wooden, plastered-on smiles. A little woman is supposed to be seen, never heard. Sound a little sexist? Yes! And some of the thumbs-up on Laura Bush/Cindy McCain are from women. Very sad.
desert those people? what the the 4000 families of the troops killed that no longer have the sons, daughters, or spouse...kids that have lost thier father or mother? those are the people I'm concerned about.
Very sad.
B: Yes the love of your country should be emotional. I think the people we love that have served make it MORE emotional. They put their very lives on the line for all and in no we can we even imagine what they went through, but it doesn't matter, because we love them, and we're so very proud of them. You would think it would be so simple for countrys to get along. To each live their lives in peace. But its the Hitlers, Saddams, etc. in this world that won't allow that to happen. God SAVE our Country. I pray that the Lord saves your Father B. I wish I could hug you. God Be With You.
well maybe I won't go to bed yet. Did you know that the war in Iraq costs us
$341 million dollars per day? Can you just imagine what we could do to repair and replace our crumbling infrastrucrture in this country with that kind of money? Fix our roads and bridges, our harbors and ship channels, improve our schools and medical care....not to mention the military men and women who are giving their lives in Iraq. And terrible injuries. Militarywifeanddaugher, I challenge you to make a trip to the Brooke Army Meidcal Center in San Antonio and see all the young men and women who have lost arms, legs, or both arms or legs, horribly burned...and the Iraqis aren't even the ones who attacked us on Sept. 11
Michelle has an acid tongue. Bill has already disgraced the highest office in our land, enough of that! Cindy has grace, hopefully she has overcome her addiction and would prove to be an asset to her husband ,representing our country in the best light possible.
To #496 African American churches spew hatred? No, they acknowledge the truths about the stained history of this country. We can try to understand each other, respect our different heritages, and try to move forward like Obama is suggesting we do, or we can continue to ‘sweep it under a rug’. I do not minimize any other atrocities in the world, but no other experience is like the Black American experience, so that frustration and anger is many times expressed in the Black Church. We look towards our faith to help us deal with the multitude of racist comments we see on message boards like this… not to mention what we experience every day. Do you really expect over 400 years of racism to be erased in 30 years of ‘apparent’ racial harmony? That is insulting for you to think we should just ‘get past it’. And do you know who pays for us trying to sweep it under the rug. ALL AMERICA! And I personally want ALL AMERICA to move forward together. Racism and the disrespect of each other because of race is one of the biggest issues holding us, as a country, back. Understanding differences of our experiences and having empathy of our unique experience is a start.
I know for a FACT that Rev Wright has 4 earned degrees, 4 honorary degrees, speaks several languages. He goes to other countries, sits down with the people, and has a dialog with them IN THEIR LANGUAGE with fluency. That is the ultimate sign of respect especially in third world countries. That empathy has earned him the respect where these people from countries such as Poland, Germany, Russia, Asian countries, African countries, and South American countries come to Chicago to visit him and his church. As I say. Seek to understand and you will be enlightened and we will move forward as one nation.
Bill Clinton, hands down, is the best choice. Regardless, of what some Clinton haters think, he is highly regarded around the world and that would be a huge asset in repairing our damaged image abroad. The Obamamites and the Republicans may want to rewrite history, but I remember the '90's well. He did a fine job running the country. We were in better shape in every way than we are now. Forget the other stuff. Many of his accusers turned out to have their own skeletons. Besides, I think it would be incredible having a former president serve as first spouse. What a resource, and he's already said he'll take on whatever duties she assigns him. So I say, Clinton for First Husband 2008. If anybody wants to produce buttons, I'll be happy to buy several and pass them out!
#516 George - We should be CONCERNED about ALL people. The wages of war and as I said before there will always be war George. Somewhere else or here, but there WILL be war. If it comes here it will be worse than 9/11. Many will die. Its going to happen. Pulling out of Iraq will not keep us safe. I also would like to think that war will not ever happen, but its not going to be. Scares me so very much; because one can see it in the future. The next President will determine just how soon. I am 61 years of age and don't hide my head in the sand. This election is more important than most, I fear.
I cannot be the only child of a Viet Nam Veteran who has this story or be compared the the child of any soldier of any war since. My father would be mortified if he knew I was telling even this much of his story. (maybe he has too much pride) All I can truly say is where has our love of country gone that we rely on polls and analysts to tell us who to vote for? My dad was drafted for a war, so far none of those serving have been. They are there because they believe in something most of us take for granted. We are a free country thank God. No regime or religion has dominance over us and we should be more than grateful for that and those who have sacrificed for us to have it.
The war on terrorism is extremely necessary, and we are fortunate it is being fought in Iraq. We have lost less people
since the war started than we lost every day in Nam. We should stay in Iraq plus go hunting for terrorists anywhere in
the world they are hiding. We should NEVER stop, NEVER. The cost of this war on terror is way less than we are
giving every year to our in country tax sucking parasites on welfare and food stamps, if we eliminate food stamps and
welfare, we could quadruple our war effort, which is exactly what we should do.
#521 Vince - Many degrees does not make onea "non-racist". If you truly believe that Wright is for "I love mywhite brother" you should speak to some of the intelligent Black Americans on these blogs who are ALSO worried about Obama becoming President. I've spoken to several. They do not take your view as the majority of us don't either. I've heard too much from Obamas mouth and his wifes along with Wrights. He's just a smart racist but none the less a racist. I guess I'm just the "typical white person". Slavery is OVER. We're into the 21st century. We have, all races, more important things to worry about like Osama and his band of thugs.
432 and 521. I think all should take the time to read Vince's comments. I did and I must say it is an impressive difference from the hate I am seeing on this site and all over the TV. There are many people like me that want to understand where such inflamatory words come from, so I try to get more information and form my own opinion. Thanks for your comments.
Vince #521, strained because both black & white won't accept the the fact that we are all Americans & should unite just for that reason, to make our country stronger. Slavery was/is wrong but the future of this country needs ALL AMERICANS to unite because there are people in the world that want to destroy us.
By: Doug | Apr 01, 22:18 Let's see,,,I have never been proud of my country,,,,I only stayed with my husband so I can use him to get to the white house,,,I have always been proud of my country,,, hmmmmm!
I wrote: Doug, I see you made sure you stated Mrs. McCain words correctly, but put words she never said in Mrs. Obama' mouth. She never said, "I have never been proud of my country". When did Mrs. Clinton say or imply "I only stayed with my husband so I can use him to get to the White House"? Hummmmm, your remarks reveal just how obtuse you are.
421. By: Darrell wrote:
Darrell, if you are going to respond to my comments, then address what I said regarding Doug's inaccurate statements. Your comments are just as obtuse as Doug's. Obviously your illiteracy and ignorance is reflected in your comments. Perhaps, you could have someone read and explain my comment to you so you can understand what I said and get a dictionary because not only do you lack the ability to comprehend you can't spell either. You would do yourself a big favor to take your own advice and “wake up” to your own racist bias. Actually, your comments show you are very much aware of your racist thinking.
Bonnie ..... Bill Clinton is a liar, a cheat, a traitor, and is totally corrupt. Why would anyone in their right mind want that
piece of sh it in the White house again, let alone his deceitful, disgusting, criminal scum bag wife?
Dear mr or ms texan: Exactly how many loved ones have you had serve and or lost in any war? I am blessed, my dad will be 67 this year. He is fighting cancer, been through one horrific war and been a father to 3 children in his life since 1968. If you wana fite...have some grounds besides numbers and money to use. My Dad served throug hell in his life, but I am no victim. I have been blessed with almost 40 years of his company. And, I'm yet to hear him complain as much as you.
Mrs. Obama would most likely, be as she is now absent for the most part from the political arena do to the fact that she could endanger obama's chances of being reelected provided he was to win the presidency in the first place she could very well be a political liability because her past may continue to open questions as to the likely hood of certain racial influences, and set of beliefs that are in no way main steam. I believe the Obama campaign is only a misspoken word or two from bringing all that out and further tying Obama to the racist and anti-Semitic statements of Rev. Wright, who he claims never, uttered those statements in his presents. I for one can’t wait for the general election, because the more people learn about Obama the less likely they well see him as truly presidential. Do to his broad statements, lack of foreign policy experience, his socialistic voting record, views and his inability to explain just how he plains on paying for all those big gov’t programs, that isn’t focused on during his rhetoric of change. We all know that the only way your going to be able to pay for universal heath care and some of the other big government programs is by down sizing the military, letting the Bush tax cuts expire and all though he says he only wants to increase taxes on the rich (class warfare) we all need only go as far back as the Clinton administration to be reminded that every time a democrat talks about making the rich pay their fair share, it is the middle class that always ends up with the bill.
Its amazing that some of you people think that just leaving Iraq will end the war and all wars. You are living in a dillusional world not this world. If peace could be simply brought about by lets say a vote, don't you think we'd all vote for peace? No more military, no more killed. Thats the world Jesus promises ONLY when he returns. We are not going to see it here. Do you think Texsun, are you so ignorant, that you actually think the country doesn't know about the wounded and dead? Such comments are really out of line and accusatory to others, as if people - any people WANT war. We do not live in a vacuum. We can pull out of Iraq and the war will come here. No one needs to have served in the Military or be a rocket scientist to know eventually we will be bombed HERE. The hospitals will be filled AND not just with the military. Stop living in a fantasy of What WE WISH TO BE. We All Wish It To Be, It Just Won't.
To #223 / Babs: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing Michelle Obama is VERY likely to be is RACIST, ANGRY AND JUDGEMENTAL of white people in calling them ingorant w/their prejudice's. Please Monica Lewinsky is better then Michelle, at least she believe's in serving her country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BILL CLINTON, DOWN WITH THE OBAMA'S!!!!
#529 what mrs Obama said was "for the first time in my adult life I'm "REALLY" proud of mr country". That wasn't saying she'd never been proud before. And as hard as it is to believe theres times we've all been disappointed in our government. What I don't understand is how does this make them racist. However, your go back to africa statement is RACIST!! How can you remove the stick from your brothers eye.. and not see the plank in your own?
#531B - You may wish to show your father your posts. I bet he'd be very proud of you. My father never spoke of the war, just a little before his death. When he came home from war there wasn't any help as there is for the men and women of today. They wern't offered anything. Just get a job and go to work supporting ones family. I know he suffered greatly and it showed because it was hard for him to express how he felt and the war impacted him greatly. The fact he had to kill. Seeing other soldiers steeling from dead bodies of the enemy. I still think about it and weep for him. I, like you B, loved my father so very much and with pride I honor him always.
I also remember the 90's, and I remember Bill allowing us to be attacked by terrorists many times and he did nothing
except tear down our military. I remember he spent everything Regan & Bush 1 built up and left us in a recession. Bill
Clinton was a laughing stalk around the world and here at home. Blow job Bill Clinton sold military secrets to the
Chinese for money for his library. Bill Clinton had Sandy Berger steal classified documents and destroy some of the
proof that Bill Clinton was not only a perjurer, but a criminal. Bill Clinton was the worst President the USA has ever
had.
I want to know why these people are voting for Mrs. McCain? I have never heard the lady speak....is that showing leadership?
Mrs. Obama will be a great first lady. She represents the real America and she loves this country enough to be honest about its good AND its bad. Bill Clinton is a slut and Mrs. McCain is a stepford wife who looks like she is about as deep as a foot soaker.
Dear Militarywifeand daughter,
You are obviously a flipping idiot. I encourage you again to visit Brooke Army Medical Center or Walter Reed or any of the large miltary hospitals and see the reality of what this war has done to a generation of young Americans. I guarantee you it is not like seeing them on TV. Of course I applaud the brave actions of our military men and women, I was one of them. But if you think they don't realize the dangerous stupidity that we are currently involved in, then you, madam, are the delusional one. Good night.
To be honest I know nothing about Ms McCain. But she would have to be really bad to do worse than Billy boy, or I hate America Ms Obama!!
#535 George - Your daring to quote Christ Teachings? Obama believes that a woman may kill her unborn child. Don't speak of Christs teachings when you have no idea about Christs love for us all. AND if you believe that Jesus believes that the killing of the unborn is ok I feel trully sorry for you. Obama is as far left as they come and he believes the killing of the unborn is OK!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs Obama is just an mean hearted, racisit, angry old retired hooker.
My husband is a black man but we both say these, we cannot stand Mrs. Obama in the whitehouse to be called "first lady". Her personality is not presentable to be that position. Mrs. Mccain and Mrs. Bush are the real persons to be respected in the eyes of the other countries' president's wife, they look very nice people and not racist, not like Mrs. Obama an angry typical black woman that hates her country where she was born and got her college degree in the US where she lived for 44 years. whatever her husband and her says in the campaign that only on the tip on their tounge just to fool those to be fooled if you don't think deeply these two people of who they are really they would lie until they get what their ambition is for themselves only. Mrs. O didn't have the life of being poor like the other black family-please don't be fool of the words that comes out from their mouth. Her husband it just another amibitious and oppotunist person, he uses the black voters just thinking that he might win because of the black votes. Mr. Obama just saying many things just recently about her two kids teaching about moral values but he forgot that the values he let his two kids was to listen his pastor (rev.w) sermon in the church. that's good values he's implying, give me a break, just like Mrs. Ovama telling the voters on how to race their children the same thing that both Michelle and Obama race their children to that church for 20 years... these two are so arrogant, they think that we are idiot like them....
#540texsun - YOU ARE BY FAR THE BIGGEST MORON I'VE MET ON A BLOG! THANK THE LORD YOUR LEAVING. DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN THE A.. IM GLAD YOUR NO LONGER SERVING!!!!!
For all who fear Mrs. Obama will be racist, you are clearly projecting your own racism and fear of repercussions for that racism. There is nothing in Barack Obama's record to imply that he'd be racist; you people are just looking for a reason to justify your resistance to vote for a Black man to sit in the White House. Its okay to just be honest and say you can't bear the thought. The gist of his speech was for us to stop ignoring the pink elephant in the room. Its not a secret; we know you are there. And Mrs. Obama would be a first lady to show you that your fears and prejudging of Blacks is unfounded and likely based on your own insecurities and/or misteachings by failed parents needing someone to blame.
Trust me...you will be very happy when she is in the White House. And don't worry, I doubt she'll redecorate with kente cloth drapes. LMAO!!
this has got to be a republican news station because 90% of you feel that a pill poppin ex alcoholic would be better suited to talk about all the things that a FIRSTLADY has to talk about but let her represent your mother daughter sister or wife not mine
#544 - Its not surprising that a black male married to a non Black woman would hate the idea of a Black woman in the white house. He likely hates the idea of Black women.
TEXSUN - PS - I bet, from the idiocy of your posts and your head being stuck in the sand, you never made it past private. Of course the military will take just about anyone. I'm glad I'VE NEVER MET anyone in the military who is such a fool as you.
texsun has never been in the military. He is expressing what he wishes a military man would say. Texsun is just a little scared college boy that wouldn't have the guts to fight if someone was raping his girlfriend right in front of him.
Obama believes we should prevent unwanted pregnancies through information in the first place. Secondly in the event a child is unwanted a woman should have a right to choose. Teen pregnancy are difficult and result in babies being born with many birth defects, some that require lifetime care. Also my hinder the mother for a basic education, and that means a life of low paying jobs for her and her child...or being called a parasite like #525
Mrs McCain would be the best 1st Lady. We all know what Bill would be doing, and we all know how Michele feels, why in the hell would we want the Obamas in the White House. We all need to pray that doesn't happen. America wake up before it's to late!!!!!!!
I'm outta here. The blog has been invaded by wackos. I though texsun was the only ignoramous on here but I see a few more have arrived as he exits stage left. Probably fell on his big fat head
GEORGE - "BABY KILLER" Your obviously NOT a follower of Christ. You Make Me Sick!
#550 Vincent - now why wouldn't that surprise me. hmmmmm
M. Obama and Osama.....oopps, I mean Obama himself would be a mistake. They don't belong in the WHite House......It would be like renting out the White House to an enemy.....like Hamas or someone else on that level.
Mrs. Obama does not deserve to be our 1st lady. How could she think she should be in that position when she does not even like & respect our country. I really don't even get it why Mr. Obama is still so populare with ANYONE in the US. Just belonging to the Trinity Church speaks for itself. They are racist bigots. God does not see color but apparently Rev. Wright & the Obama's do!
I don't know much about Mrs. McCain but she has to be better than Mrs. O & our former president that took advantage of someone's young intern daugther! That was so shameful !
Dear Greta,
I have four things to ask.
1. How come the YOU and the MEDIA, see after FOCUSING ONLY ON the "SOUND BITE" of a PART OF THE SPEACH OF REV. WRIGHT.
2. Why don't you focus on showing THE WHOLE SPEACH or AT LEAST the BEGINNING and THE ENDS that show what he reall said.
3. How can you and the (and the other Politicians) FOCUS ON THE CHURCH when in FACT the GOVERNMENT "ALWAYS" want to FOCUS ON SEPARATE THE CHURCH AND THE STATE.
FANLLY, I pray the YOU and OTHERS who are acting ATTACK SNAKES and are Bias against OBAMA, don't claim to be a Christians. I pray for all of you in the media. YOU ALL NEED IT.
#554 lol... I haven't killed any babies Sir. If you truly believe in God then you must believe only God gives and takes life... He is the Judge... and those will meet thier judgment. Judge not less ye be Judge
#546 & #547 - Your both wackos
O.K. I never was in the service,so what
IT is amazing that you take what Mrs. Obama said out of context and use it against her. She is a decent amercian citizen and deserves respect. She is NOT anti-american. YOU PEOPLE SAYING SHE IS ARE THE ONES WHO ARE ANTI-AMERICAN!!! Mrs. Cain doesn't talk.. she just smiles and agrees with everything just like MCBush wife did. Maybe if Laura had spoke up and said no honey, don't start a walk, don't drive the econonmy in debt.. at lease Michelle has common sense and a business sense as well.
That is what worries some of you. She is smarter than you
Cindy McCain is a LADY of grace, compassion, dignity as well as a great love of family and country. We could all be proud of her as First Lady of the United States of America.
Dear Corrine: I'm so sorry to hear about your father. Sounds so familiar. Dad had only ever told us "so much" about what he saw. War in itself is so inhumane. I know what I am facing. Everyday my dad is fading away. But, I'm still here. And, as long as I am. I'm gona be his girl. Maybe he couldn't say some things about things that happened, but like I said, I'm no victim. And I have no reservations to say them. Our country has been served well, more than well by our veterans.
#559 George - Your a reallllll wack job. Christ is the only one who takes babys, what during the abortion? Your a real head job. You need meds and deep therapy. Get a Bible and start reading. I thought texsun was an idiot - your mommy's calling you, i can hear her. Too bad she didn't abort you. Wonder how that would have felt, being torn apart George. I bet it would feel just wonderful. Like having yourself tied to 2 trucks and them going in 2 directions. Good night George and when we die I sure know I won't be seeing you!
Thankful we should be to have one respectful lady to choose from. . .
The White House deserves respect so lets keep it that way with a
First Lady who knows how to be a woman. . . Cindy McCain has the class
to do the job to it's fullest . . .and she's a woman who stands at her man's
side with dignity and grace. She's not in compitition with her husband. . . .
He's running for the dignified office of PRESIDENT .... NOT HER ! I admire
her and you can tell she has one happy and prowd husband. She has my
VOTE . . .
Fox and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who calls Rev. Wright a racist are COWARDS. Fox HAS seen the entire sermon by Rev. Wright, but you all don't want to see it. You need this as an excuse and if you watched the entire 9:57 sermon (available on YouTube) you would know that you've been played by Sean Hannity and Greta because they know that you people would prefer they do their thinking for you. Weak minded cowards.
Michelle Obama is perfectly qualified to be first lady. Mrs. Obama represents honor and truth. If she were afraid to be open about what is in her heart, then she should not be trusted. When she spoke, it was a true invitation for us to come together. It may not sound patriotic, but it is genuine. That is what matters. I believe that Mrs. Obama would die for what she believes in than most who claim she's not patriotic. Talk is cheap. Mrs. Obama is a striking bronze beauty, who should be recognized for her accomplishments, especially since the odds were against her. She is a Hospital administrator who can do more than just stand there and look like an ostrich on steroids.
I wholeheartedly agree with several others that Ms. Obama is a detriment to her husband and to the democratic party. I've heard many say and I agree that she portrays herself as a "rebel/protestor" not as a person of sophistication and knowledge. And.....as an individual who had to struggle to put myself through college, I resent her attitude given that she has had the opportunity that many of us do not have, even with 4.0 + G.P.A! I strongly believe that either Former President Clinton or Ms. McCain would do an excellent job representing our Country. Although I cast my vote in the democratic primary for Senator Clinton, I have a great deal of admiration for Senator McCain. He is by no means to the far right. He appears to me to be more in the middle, which I think his greatest attribute. If Obama wins, I will vote for McCain.
In previous years, I"ve voted for candidates within both parties. I believe that it is ignorant to vote strictly upon party lines. We must vote into office the individual that will serve us all, not just a few....or vote for our own self-interests.
I also sincerely believe that Obama is not a "hateful" or "anti-American etc. etc. individual". My feeling is that he has "several" strong and "powerful" personalities around him now, and throughout his political life, that have had a negative influence. I'm willing to bet that in the distant future, he will write another book on the second chapter of his life where we will see a man of "reflection" and "honorable character". A man that through being insightful and introspective, has concluded that somewhere along the line, he lost is "self identity".
referring to #3 dont tell me that you did!nt do any thing wroung in your whole entire life that you regret, so quit harping on what pres. bill clinton did it happen years ago and thats that,he!s inteligent and smart and can handle being the first husbanb.mrs macain on the other hand looks like a flat liner too good to be true. be for real because this a real world, not a tranquilize one. every time someone mention rev. wright and his sermon is mention it!s always taken out of context even though he said what he said and even went through the motion showing what pres. clinton did, so what do you say about that, it was!nt his body moving it was somebody else. when i watched most of the members stated that the sermon was taken out of context it reminds me of a cult what ever the leader says it!s okay, even though intellingent people is in the room, like a cult JIM JONES.rev. wright preaches hate to whom ever want to listen, when a group is down trotten and lost all is needed a rev. wright or a jim jones think about, so be smart and think for your self.I know so call christian that goes to church and sit in the pew sunday after sunday and would be full of the devil so to speak. rev. wright wants to benifit the freedom of living in the united states and all the richness well the whole congregation should pack up an move to good old africa with all there wealth and lets see how long they would last.shame on rev. wright and his congregation. God is not vengefull ,malicious, hateful.mean spirited, continue to follow the leader you will be going straight to hell and it will your fault for not using your brain that God gave you to use and to analize all situation, you all stand up and pat the speaker on his or her back and applaude, just remember you!ll have to give account for your own soul so continue to follow the leader. And ms. obama is far from being patriotic maybe she should move to africa . GOD BLESS AMERICA ALWAYS, THE LAND OF THE FREE. THANK YOU GOD FOR THE GOODNESS AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
If she talks like a racist, acts like a racist, and attends church with the right racist Wright, then she is Ms Obama the racist. I have never heard the Rev. racist Wright deny his racism yet, have you?
Dear B: Thanks for your kind words. I still miss him. Your father is so young. Too young! My mother died about 5 years ago from brain cancer. It was a peaceful passage, just a very sad one. Cancer and heart disease, the 2 deadly killers. Have they tried any alternative treatments for your Father? Is he at a VA? I just feel so badly for you because I understand how you feel and what your going through. I can tell you with sincerity that you being there and loving him will help so much. He knows Christ? I do hope so. You will meet again. Just remember, this isn't the end. I weep for you and him and your Mom. Life is so precious thats why I get sooo upset over the abortion issue.
No one is against Obama because he is half black. Most intelligent people are against Obama because he and his wife
are not only con men/women, but are clearly projecting their racism and fear of honesty. There is no reason to say the
things they have said. One doesn't need to hear all the other CRAP Rev Wright says in a speech, because it is all
canceled out by the racist, anti American things he said. Even if that were the only time, which it is not, he said those
things, he should be and is shunned by all good Americans. He is only liked by morons and idiots.
526 So I take it that you have heard several of Rev. Wright’s sermons? Have you heard anything more that what you’ve seen on the news before you passed judgment? As I said, understanding different cultures is the BEGINNING of respecting a people. That is testimony that he isn’t a racist. By the way, the definition of a Racist: a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. When was the last time what Wright said affected your individual achievement? I can point out MANY instances of White racism affecting my achievements. Do you think it is right for me to be denied the American Dream? Do you know how that type of denial affects the progress of this country? THAT is racism… defined.
If you call yourself an American, then you will respect that he has a right to express his opinions just like you or I do. I have attended that church for 10 years and I personally haven’t attended the services that these sermons are from, but I like Obama have heard things I don’t agree with. Just like the White churches I have attended in the past, you learn to treat a pastor as a human… not as a god. If there are things you don’t agree with, don’t let it affect your personal relationship with God. Guess who taught me that, Rev Wright.
Yes, slavery is over, but there are so many residual affects… especially psychological. If you were denied using your native language, brought to a strange country in chains, forced to work for just the torn clothing on your back and the leftovers to eat. Generations of your family were made to do the same thing, not to mention rape was part of your everyday life and your family was separated and denied contact. Then one day, someone tells you, “You are free.” The gates of the plantation are opened and you are free to go into American, it would take you SEVERAL generations to catch up. Don’t tell me slavery is over without understanding the residual economic and psychological affects of it. Often, I am forced to deny how I feel about our unique history because my opinion may affect my employment. I am a professional... I have learned from experience that expressing my opinion can cause me to loose my job... it has happened. THAT is racism... by definition
I thimg Mrs Mc Cain will take a larger more positive roll after the run for the November election starts.
#570 you do realize black people weren't the only race of people that came here on boats?
This is in response to HillBill Scum. I hope to see the day that Hillary Clinton is president and Bill is first husband. I firmly believe that Hillary is our best candidate. The country is a mess. We have enormous debt from Bush's errors and our image abroad is shattered. I have traveled out of the country several times in the past couple of years and am fully aware of how highly regarded the Clintons are abroad. I suspect that you've bought into a lot of right wing attacks perpetuated by the media. The right wing Republicans were furious when they lost the White House to Clinton the first time and immediately got out their attack dogs to try to find something they could destroy the Clintons with so they could get the White House back in four years. When that didn't work, they were even more furious and became even more vicious. For example, don't you think that if there had been anything, Ken Star would have found it with his 40 million dollar inverstigation into Whitewater that came up with nothing? I just hope people will not be duped by media manipulation. Up until the Bush years, I had always been an Independent. I am truly alarmed by the state of affairs in our country. As I said before, I am convinced that Hillary Clinton is the best choice to get us out of this mess. If you really check out her record you will find that she has 35 years of impressive accomplishments. She is bright and has an unbelievable grasp of the multitude of issues we're facing and has sound judgement on how to approach those issues. Obama may tell us he has good judgement, but I say look closer. I'm from Illinois and am a long time observer of Chicago and Illinois politics. Obama has created a mirage and people, amazingly, swoon. He's not the clean politician he claims to be and he has a very thin legislative record. Investigate and you'll see. If he gets the nomination, the Republicans will hit him and hard. They won't give the kid gloves treatment the media is giving him now. And as far as McCain, do you really want us to be in Iraq for the next 50 - 100 years? I worry about a person with a known short fuse having his hand so close to the nuclear button. I can honor McCain for being a war hero, but being a war hero does not mean that he has the right set of skills to be the president needed for 2008 and beyond. And, with all due respect, I must say that McCain is too old to begin the daunting challenges ahead. I'd like to ask that you find an opportunity to listen to Senator Clinton speak at length, not just the silly sound bites the media chooses. I've had a number of opportunities to listen to her full presentations and each time I've come away even more impressed than the time before. Each time, I'm even more convinced that she IS our best choice. Please find a way to check out the depth of her knowledge of the issues and what she stands for.
I think Mrs. Obama will make a great first lady,
I don't think Obama church have anything to do with him running for presidency. I think you guys have tar and feather Obama. I do not understand why your station is making a big deal out of it. Someone personal realtionship with God should be just that personal. I only think you are doing this to scare the white folks to not vote for Obama. I think Obama is a born leader and he can united the people. Greta, there is not that many black folks who watch folks news because it is so racist. I watch FoxNews sometimes to see what awful things you are saying about blacks and our political leaders. FoxNews is unfair and unbalance. I am very proud of Obama and the success he has made in spite of the negative press from FoxNews.
I've said this time and time again, I vote Hillary, If She don't win I will vote McCain NEVER!!!!! Obama until he comes clean about Larry Sinclair, Rezko, Ayers, and Wright......
#522 Bonnie... You are right, there are some REAL Clinton haters on this site, What happened was between Bill and Hillary and some of the hatred spewed by the Obamanites is sad... He would be a huge asset to this country and I'll help you pass out the buttons!
#578 Juanita - You need a shrink
FROM MANY OF THE COMMENTS MADE AS TO TO WHO WOULD MAKE THE BEST SPOUSE IN THE WHITE, MRS. McCAIN, MRS. OBAMA, OR FORMER PRESIDENT CLINTON, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT YOU HARBOR THE SAME ATTITUTE OF HOSTILITY AND ALL THE NEGATIVE THINGS THAT THE MAJORITY HAVE COMMENTED AND CHARACTERIZED MRS. OBAMA WITH. YOU HAVE TAKEN A FEW WORDS OUT OF CONTEXT AND PEOPLE IN CHARGE TO THE MEDIA, HAVE LABLED SUCH AS BEING THE WHOLE OF MRS. OBAMA'S LIFE OF PRESENTING HERSELF AND FAMILY, JUST LIKE MRS. McCAIN AND FORMER PRESIDENT CLINTON, AS PERSONS DESIRING TO BE AND HAVE BEEN PUBLIC SERVANTS WITHIN. IF EITHER OF THEM IS SELECTED SHE OR HE WILL BE REPRESENTATIVES OF THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND WILL SLEEP IN THE WHITE HOUSE. IT IS NOT "MY" OR "YOUR" WHITE HOUSE, OR ANY SPECIAL GROUP'S OR PERSON'S, AS INDICATED IN MANY OF YOUR REMARKS. IT IS THE HOUSE WHEREIN THE ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ALONG WITH HIS FAMILY RESIDE. IT IS SO CALLED THE EXECUTIVE MANSION, THE RESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENT ANAD FAMILY. DO NOT GET UPSET WITH MRS. OBAMA'S COMMENT THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT, BECAUSE IT MIGHT JUST BE TRUE THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT SHE FELT THAT "RIGHT THROUGH HERE," AS A BLACK WOMAN, MIGHT HAVE A GLIMPSE OF THE FULFILMENT OF THE DREAM THAT MARTIN LUTHER KING HAD, AND RECOGNIZED THAT IT IS BEEN HER DREAM ALSO, "...A DREAM DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE AMERICAN DREAM AND AS, MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. STATED, ".....THAT ONE DAY THIS NATION WILL RISE UP AND LIVE OUT THE TRUE MEANNING OF ITS CREED: 'WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF-EVIDENT - THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL! ' " AND WHETHER IT IS SPOKEN BY A STRIVING SERVANT TO OCCUPY THE POSITION AS WIFE OF ONE WHO IS STRIVING TO BE PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES OR WIFE OF THE STREET SWEEPER IN HARLEM, NY. IF IT IS YOUR FIRST TIME TO BE PROUD OF AMERICA, HE OR SHE OUGHT TO BE ABLE TO SAY SO WITHOUT BEING MISINTERPRETED. THE AVERAGE WHITE PERSON DOES NOT KNOW WHAT MAKES THE BLACK PERSON TICK, NOR FROM WHENCE HE OR SHE SPEAKS. THE AVERAGE, AND I SAY AVERAGE, BUT I WOULD BE MORE CORRECT TO SAY THAT IT IS MORE OF THE TOTALITY OF THE WHITE POPULACE WHO FALLS IN SAID CATEGORY. THE WHITE POPULACE HAS NOT HAD TO GET OF THE SIDE WALK TO LET A WHITE PERSON PASS, NOR RIDE IN THE REAR OF THE BUS, NOR HAVE TO GET UP AND LET A WHITE MAN SIT DOWN, NOR TRY TO MAKE FUN WHEN THERE WAS NOT ANYTHING FUNNY, OR STRATCH HIS HEAD WHEN IT DID NOT ITCH, SAY YES SIR, WHEN HE OR SHE REALLY MEANT NO. SO YOU KNOW WHAT MAKE A BLACK PERSON HAPPY OR WHEN HE OR SHE WOULD FINALLY STATE..."THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I WAS OR HAVE BEEN MADE HAPPY!" I, TOO, HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED AS A WAR HERO. MY RECORD SHOWS THAT I WAS AWARDED THE SECOND HIGHEST MEDAL IN THE US ARMY,THE SILVER STAR FOR GALLANTRY; THE BRONZE STAR W/CLUSTER FOR BRAVERY; THE PURPLE HEART W/DOUBLE CLUSTERS; THE US ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL AND GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL; AND MANY OTHER AWARDS, BUT I DO NOT THINK THAT BEING A PRISONER OF WAR DURING THE KOREAN CONFLICT OR ANY OTHER WAR SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS HONORABLE: ENDURABLE BUT NOT HONORABLE. TO BE CAPTURED WAS TO BE TAKEN OVER BY FORCE OR SURRENDER TO ANOTHER FORCE. THAT IS NOT AN HONOR TO ME. I THANK GOD AND SALUTE OTHERS WHO WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT OUT, BUT STILL, I DO NOT CONSIDER IT AS BEING AN HONOR TO BE CAPTURED AND HELD A PRISONER FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. FOR ME IT WAS HARD 27-MONTHS. AMERICA THE HOME OF THE BRAVES AND LAND OF THE FREE, HAS PUT ME THROUGH SOME THINGS HERE ON THE MAINLAND, THAT I AM NOT PROUD OF AND I AM STILL ENCOUNTERING SOME AND VARIOUS INSTITUTIONALIZED RACIST INFLICTIONS TODAY. THINK ABOUT WHAT WE ARE SAYING BEFORE WE SAY IT OR EVEN THINK OF IT. MRS. OBAMA LOVES HER COUNTRY. HER FORE PARENTS WERE BROUGHT HERE IN CHAIN AND MADE TO STAY HERE WHETHER THEY LOVE IT OR NOT. HELLO SOMEBODY!
Michele Obama is a loaded cannon. She can't be trusted to keep her racist comments to herself in such a powerful position. Her husband would make a mockery of the presidency when he reverts to "black talk" depending on his audience. Cindy McCain looks classy but I've never heard her open her mouth so who knows how she will perform. Bill does have a zipper problem but maybe he will try to control it better this time around. I'll still have to go with Bill since he has the prior experience and knowhow to handle the situation.
I think some of you are just reeling from the shock of finding out that Black churches weren't just like a scene from Blues Brothers. We do more than sang, dance and be happy about our struggle. We actually have open dialogue about OUR country. And, since most of you seem to forget, this IS our country too. And expecting it to treat us equal without repercussions is our right as citizens. There is nothing unAmerican about pointing out the cracks we need to repair as a nation. There is nothing unAmerican about having a First Lady who sees that we are great, but we have work to do.
Why would Bill be a laughing stock to be first man. England has a queen and her husband is a prince. The other countries that have female presidents ,they have husbands. obama and his wife are a scarrey pair. I have been influenced in my church since I was young. No radical words and nerver take the Lords name invain in the church. Or any other place. How could you not be offended by those words. In our church we don't wear pants, but out of church we do. And we would feel very uncomfortable, it's just a respect thing for the Lord and his house. This is just a small thing that has been implanted in my brain. How could anyone say that Wright would not have been an influence all those years with such hatred. We all gossip at times and we talk about church services when we leave church. And obamas had no friends in church to talk with after a service. Everyone keeps saying what the media is showing are just parts of his sermons, well why were they selling the tapes, it was very important to them to not forget what was said. I bet if we could see obamas dvd collection we would see them in his home. Although they probably are gone now. I agree where is michele? He has her put up with her mouth taped shut!!!!
Just because Mrs. McCain said she is pride of her country don't made her the best choice for 1st lady. She has problem with drug abuse and stealing in the past so I'm not sure se should be in the White House.
President Clinton also had problems in the past within the White House that cold bring back old memories that American public cannot bare.
Mrs. Obama is the clear choice. Don’t dang her for misspeaking and one paper over 20 years ago.
I would be proud to have Former President Clinton back in the White House, He took our country and gave us a wonderful economy. I can not understand why people keep bringing up the other woman, one of our wonderful presidents like Rooseelt died in the arms of another women, Kennedy brothers had more women at the same time than any other presidents. Senator Ted Kennedy had the scandal of Mary Joe and so forth, so pointing fingers of the past is really not relevant here..is it? Former President Clinton will be an asset to our country specially the way the economy is at this time.He will be able to give his suggestions and I am sure with Hillary and Bill our country will be at peace in a booming economy once again.
Mrs. McCain seems very nice but I am not sure she can offer our country the experience that Bill Clinton has. Mrs. Obama..Never, I can not see her as the first lady she has supported just as her husband the Wright. She has spoken against our Country and it truly has show that her and her husband have been influenced by thier mentor an American Hater of 20 years. So my first choice would be Bill Clinton...Prosperity once again!
Dear Corrine: Thank you. Dad is undergoing extensive radiation and chemo. At best it'l give him 2 more years. I'm praying for 4 maybe 6, but a girls gota dream. As for now, I've realized my blessings in him. Something I wish I had a clue of 20 years ago, but every time I see him I realize he made me who I am. He told me many years ago to see what I could see and do all I could do. Well, I'm a busy mom of 3. I've seen half of this country and part of Europe so far. Maybe I've made him half as proud of me as I am of him. By the way, anybody heard from Texan lately? :)
The Gov. of Louisiana asked the Presidential Candidates to come and speak about how they would help New Orleans put itself back together after Katrina, only Hillary Clinton showed up..... The major Oil Companies asked the Presidential Candidates to come and discuss the oil crisis that's going on with shortages, prices and alternative fuels, only Hillary Clinton showed up...That's why I'll vote for Hillary. She cares about ALL the issues, not just the issues that the media is covering at the moment. She'll be a great President!
578 Juanita - AMEN!!! There are a few of us out here battling this bigotry. See my comments #402, 432, 492, 521, 574.
The role of First Lady is to PROUDLY REPRESENT her country to the world in the best possible way. How is this possible with someone who is not proud of her country? It amazes me that people have heard Mrs. Obama's words straight from her mouth, and heard her husband lie about his awareness of the hatred of America and Israel that has been preached in their church for "20 years", yet they white-wash it (no pun intended) spray perfume on it and repeat it back in their own flowery terms. WAKE UP AMERICA!! The Middle-East is full of generations of children raised on hate speech!! Speaking of the Middle-East, we have been told the reason radical Islam hates us is because of our blatant sexual appetites and crass behavior, so that pretty much disqualifies Mr. Clinton as our good-will representative to the rest of the world. The choice should be obvious to anyone who is serious about our reputation around the world. Mrs. McCain is the most elegant, most poised and perfect representative for America, without question. She has the class and character similar to Jacqueline Kennedy and Laura Bush. She is the best choice.
Please, we want class, not ass!
Bonnie ... America is working as good as it ever has. The war on terror is going better than any war in history. The
economy is fine for people who aren’t to lazy to work. The only reason people think the economy is not good is
because the press tells them that it is not good. The press
lies. I haven't noticed any difference in the last 10 years. People say gas is to high because we are paying only half what
England is paying or the rest of Europe. Gas hasn't gone up any faster than anything else. In 1970, I bought a new Ford
for $3,000.00 and gas was 35cents a gallon. Now a new for is$30,000.00 and gas is $3.50 a gallon. A cup of coffee
was 10 cents, now it is $1.75. ETC...ETC... gas is NOT high, it is lower than anywhere else and has gone up just like
everything else at the same rate. The only people who are having money problems are those who were so stupid as to
charge things they couldn't afford. When you deserve something you can buy it, not charge it. Until then, live within
your means, you are ENTITLED to NOTHING. The best thing that could happen is if some how we could get President Bush to take another 8 years.
#582 Marcus. Good comments!
#582Marcus - NO Marcus, Its OUR Whitehouse. We, The Taxpayers of this Land. Get off the slavery train. Its the 21st century. We all have been down that road a million times. Youve never been a slave. You probably have never had those things happen to you just as I have not experienced the hard times of my parents and grandparents. NOR do I wallow in pity for what THEY ENDURED and I didn't. We, although white, have also at times endured forms of racism. THe black populace chooses to ignore the "white hatred" directed at us by some of YOU. Many of us do nothing but "be white". But thats enough for you to hate us. So don't go pointing your finger and pouring us all into the same pot. As long as your people stay hooked in the past, just as Wright likes it and many like him, he'll keep you full of hate and keep filling his pockets with YOUR money and than build their 1.7 million dollar mansion. You speak of Obama and his Mrs. like their some type of bean pickers. Their RICH! She made around $300,000 last year. Guess what, they just empied their pockets to the needy, 6% WOW. If their such true blue lovers of their Race, why not GIVE to their race. NOT! Why not send some of those riches, which us poor white folk don't make, to Darfur. OR don't they really care about the starving Blacks there. I'm sick and tired about some of you claiming this is about race. Its about honor, love of country, Lover 4 ALL colors of people, respect and integrity. AND might I say many of us think the Obamas are lacking in MUCH of those things.
President Bill Clinton has a great relationship with most other countries and is a great communicator and can help bring most of the countries together. He can be a World Ambassador.
As a 100% independent voter in the past 10 presidential elections, I'd cast my vote for Cindy McCain based on humility and dignity despite personal struggle. Bill and Michelle seem a bit too arrogant - not a good thing.
The LAST thing the White House needs is a breakdancing bigot or a philandering liar. To those who credit Bill Clinton with a great economy, please realize that he reaped the benefits of sound economic policy but left as his legacy a democratic boondoggle, and it's not fair to saddle Bush 43 with Clinton's ineptitudes.
Annie, thanks! Until we get those buttons, let's see what we can do to neutralize the biased press that seems to be the norm. I personally have been contacting t.v. networks and newspapers that give biased coverage. I've also emailed newspaper editors, reporters, and columnists who have had the courage to go beyond the popular hype and do balanced reporting. I've let them know that I appreciate their work. Another thing you can do is go to hillaryclinton.com and make a contribution. No matter how small, it counts. That's what I've done when the newsmedia or the Obama campaign come out with their garbage. It makes me feel better, I know the contributions help, and, figuratively, I'm giving them a jab right back for their underhanded tactics.
Cindy McCain posseses a demeanor and intelligence that is "first class". Our Nation needs a "First Lady" as a role model for our country's women and men. She is proof that campaigning in non-confrontational facts is superior to in-fighting between candidates. We must remember, social security, health care, wages, home mortgages, etc. means nothing if we have lost our country and our freedoms to dictators the likes of Hitler, Sadam Huissen and Osama BinLaden. We must elect a president and first lady who are really about protecting you and me. We, as citizens of a free country, must take responsibility for taking care of ourselves. That means work hard, stay clean, go to church and love others. When we do that, the First Lady, President and Congress will be able to focus on what matters to our Country and the World, not babysitting the lazy complainers of this country. Wake up America and go to work. Stop complaining about jobs going oversees or wages being too low for you to work here. If you do not want illegal immigrants working here, pick up your pride and go to work yourself.
#588B - I think he exited stage left. THANK THE LORD! He was driving me wacky. Has your father tried the cancer treatment centers of america. They are always advertising on tv and seem to have the whole thing. Religion, the correct diet, treatment. I know food can play immensely in how long he lives. Theres a tape "Cancer Doesn't Scare Me Anymore". He should find it and watch it. I've so enjoyed writing back and forth. I think I'm going to head to bed now. Maybe you and your father can do some more traveling. Keep him in prayer. Lots of things can happen. Do some investigating. Of course, our parents are often hard to move to other treatments. I know that from experience. May God Bless You and Your Father & Mother. I'm sending a huge hug to you. Love & Blessings
Juanita # 578 try watching the news as an american and not a racist blackie
Mrs. McCain seems very docile and introverted, more like a prop. She's probably a nice lady too but not in the league with Pres Clinton. He would be an invaluable asset to as First Chap. He is known, loved and respected in the world and does not have a problem engaging conservatives, liberals or republicans. And he has a command of global issues.
Mrs Obama is radical, abrasive, unfashionable and Afrocentric. The latter three certainly disqualifies her for First Lady. She and Sen Obama are the products of 20 years of Jeremiah Wright. Though she is not as adept as the Senator in keeping her views camouflaged.
#598 WOW... "The LAST thing the White House needs is a breakdancing bigot..."
Proof there is a HUGE problem with race here. I am sure you are one who criticized Obama for his speech on race. I guess we should just sweep bigoted statements like yours under the rug and claim everything is OK. Our country will not get far with that approach.
I am done with you ignorant idiots.
#603 we know you like your women silent, in a veil and a Hijab.
#605George - YOUR THE BIGGEST FOOL ON THIS BLOG ALONG WITH TEXSUN
Sally from Santee ... The only real problem with Bill Clinton being an ambassador is that he is a rapist, perjurer, liar, cheater, and prays on young girls his daughter's age. Other than those little problems ..........?????
#605 Thank you I try.
Mrs. McCain over Mrs. Obama, Bill Clitton, wouldn't be a 1st spouse, it would be his third term. Oh, the mouse will play when the CAT is away! (or busy running the country) Whoaaaah!
This is a no brainer, Mrs. McCain absolutely. I'm sure the others are patriots
but I'm afraid the Obama's antisemitic veiws would not be in our interest. you can't tell me listening to reverend wrights hate filled sermons will not influence their thinking.
As for Hillary & Bill they had their chance to prevent 911 and blew it.
#604vince your racism is o.k. tho'?
Cindy McCain looks like high maintenance. Cannot stay out of the beauty shop probably. Forget Michelle Obama. She is a nightmare. She would get hoof in mouth disease. I don't condone what Bill did in his personal life but he was a good president and is one of the most liked people in the world. Hillary could make him ambassador and send him around the world talking to the heads of state and bringing them back as out friends as they used to be before George got in there. Bill is a very intelligent man. He was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he had to work for what he got. Go Bill.
People, People lets not be selected about what we are holding people accountable for in the past. If we going to hold people to what they said or wrote in the past we must hold them accountable of what they did in the past. Taking from an organization that you are overseeing is a big problem. Putting a person in the White House like that is not an option. Right! Think about it. If you feel you can forgive and forget what a person did in the past what are you waiting on for forgiving someone for what they said. Again Think about it.
I think either Mrs. McCain or former President Clinton would make a great first lady or first gentleman. Mrs. Obama has not been proud of our country until her husband started running for the Democratic nomination. The hatred of the Obamas for our great United States and the deceit and manipulation of the candidate is appalling. Greta, will you air more about his background and associations with anti-Americans, the tenets of his church, www.tucc.org, their mission, vision, Black Values System and black liberation theology, all of which is blatantly racist and anti-American? How can we get the mainstream news media to also report on this? What about the effect his anti-American mother had on him? Why is the news media not talking about his radical Muslim stepfather? What about his connection with the Illinois senator, the radical Rev. Meeks? What about his association with members of the Weatherman Underground? What about the fact that he said many times that he was never a Muslim, even though his father was which according to Muslim law made him born a Muslim and why does he lie about it? What about his shady property dealings with Rezco that he said were "boneheaded?" What about the fact that he calls himself a Professor when he is actually a lecturer? What about the fact that his handwriting is all over the amended survey of a liberal group in 1996 when he claims to not have seen or answered it, even though he was interviewed about it? What about all the "present" votes he cast in the Illinois senate? What about the fact that he has been a US Senator for just over 2 years, but has been busy running for the presidency for at least 14 months of that time? How does that make him qualified to be president? What about the Chicago Sun Times news reporter Cathleen Falsani's articles about when he ran for the Illinois senate and the fact that his current candidacy is simply a repeat of how he duped voters then? I will never vote for this flashy, Teflon man... when I think about it, why would anyone? When all the existing and emerging facts are presented together, Obama's extraordinarily thin resume is really thick with deceit, manipulative language and anti-American associations and I would like it all exposed now. He must be stopped from gaining the Democratic nomination because he is dangerous, has deceived us all, is arrogant and irresponsible. The Democratic race is a statistical dead heat now, and we must make sure that the candidates in the general election are John McCain and Hillary Clinton.
#614 a drug addict (Mrs McCain) or a sexual deviant (Bill Clinton) nice choice
Bonnie.... I'm right with you, trying to get people to look at Sen. Clinton's stand on the issues and speaking about the good things she is doing and has done in the past. It's hard with all the media bias but all we can do is keep trying to get people to see that she is the best solution for this country. Yes, it makes me feel good to know that I have helped in a small way. (hillaryclinton.com)
percentage wise black people are more racists than whites.
HillBill, in the early 60's a person could buy 8 gallons of gas by working one hour at minimum wage. Today, a person can buy less than 2 gallons of gas by working one hour at the minimum wage. Our economy is not working well. We have an enormous national debt that affects not only us but the world economy. Try traveling to Europe and you will get the shock of your life when you see how low our dollar has sunk and you have to pay double or triple what you would pay here for every single thing because the dollar is worth so little. That's one of the reasons gas is so high, too, besides the record profits the oil companies have made. Remember that Bush is cronies with big oil companies. Anyway, I have to sign off, but start reading up on the economy and I think some alarm bells will go off. I would recommend that you read Nickled and Dimed. After reading that book, you will have a lot more sympathy for the working poor.
Hillary for president. I'll get back in the white house & get me some more interns
While channel surfing just now, FOX had a clip from Al Jazeera showing a puppet show of a Muslim child stabbing President Bush to death, proclaiming,
"The White House is now a mosque!" or words to that effect. I didn't catch the whole segment, but it sure creeped me out.
Reverend Wright has one thing working for Him. He excepts responsiblity for what comes out of His mouth. Never has He blamed anyone for what has come out of His mouth. Preaching 3 sermons a day and traveling to many foreign Countries made Him so delusional that He forgot being shot at? What's more outrageous is that He would forget that His Child was right there with Him. Most parents would never forget if their child's life is in danger. What does Chelsea have to say about this. Association is the key. You may associate someone with someone elses views but not be able to channel what is truely their belief, but if the lie comes from their mouth then you can start from there. Hillary's came from her own lips. You are trying to make up what appears to be, but not really is. It's impossible to train the thought of another man into the makeup of someone else, even if He sat there for a thousand years. Jesus Christ came amongst many sinners. He came to set the captives free, not to judge. His mission on Earth was not to condemn, but offer salvation. It is embedded in the DNA of some to judge. They seem to have amnesia when it comes to their transgressions. Hillary Clinton foregave Bill Clinton when she could have divorced Him for His transgressions. There are many poor women who don't have a choice but to stay. Obviously she found something good in Him. Those who judge everything someone says are really lacking in the heart department. I'm quite sure they can find something in their past that made them want to bite their words. Sometimes the words can be true, but they may have been them at the wrong time. What ever happened to foregiveness? Some so called Christians forget that this is one of Jesus Christs biggest missions on Earth. As black Americans we are told to just get over it already. Inequality is not something that you pass up like an appetizer. But you want to go on about a speech that you haven't ever heard in it's entirety. That sounds familiar. Black History was not taught as it should have been, and your children should hear it. You don't want them to hear the whole truth. That is why you don't want the whole message of Rev. Wright to be played. It's okay, because we know the truth. What's more important is that God knows the truth. Jesus Christ makes the bold statement of saying that He is the truth the way and the light. Darkness will not prevail over the light. As much as many want Obama to win this campagn it is not worth defying the Gods law, upon which based the foundation of this Country, that of your founding fathers. Think of it being one of your children. Would you want someone to base their entire lives on something they said or did that was controveral. No you wouldn't. Everyone is going to fall into that category once or twice in their lifetime. Understandbly this is an election, and an important one at that. This is something that Historically has never happened in the History of this Country. History will rewrite America based on what the outcome will be. It will be devastating if it is only based on a comment or a snipit of a video. Blacks know what love is. Love is to bear the burdens of your burdens. It is foregiveness even when someone does not choose to foregive another under circumstances that are unbearable. We understand that our ancestors mean something to us, and we regret that they had to bear the cruel and unusual circumstance in order to give us a name in society. By Rev. Wright speaking, does not mean that Senator Obama is His property. Rev. Wright's speech should mean nothing if it's not true and they should just label Him psychotic and move on. Obiviously this is not the case. We are in an economic crisis in this country. Why is Rev. Wright's sermon so important? Think about it.
The Gov. of Louisiana asked the Presidential Candidates to come and speak about how they would help New Orleans put itself back together after Katrina, only Hillary Clinton showed up.....
I think there are very few successful people that is racist. By the way most racist people say they are racist. Don't take a person view on an issue and spin it as if the person is racist. Let's keep it real. Think about it.
a drug addict (Mrs McCain) or a sexual deviant (Bill Clinton) , or a anti American former hooker/stripper (Mrs. Obama), nice choice.
#621 DEBRA if black people know what love is why are they killing each other so much here in the city where wright preaches?
Annie, one more comment before I sign off. Yes, I know it's hard with all of the media bias. I have never seen a candidate treated as viciously and as unfairly as the media has treated Hillary Clinton. Every female in this country should be outraged. And every man who cares about how his mother, his sisters, his wife, his daughters are treated should be outraged as well. What I say is Hillary Clinton has shown incredible strength during all these unfair and mean spirited biased attacks. What I think is since she shows this kind of incredible strength (which, by the way, will serve her well as president), we can stay strong in our defense and support of her. We have to accept that electing the first woman president of this country is not going to be easy, in spite of the fact that we lecture other countries about women's rights. If we stay strong, then later we can look back and say, "Oh, it was hard getting the first woman president elected, but it was worth it!"
#604 Vince - Why do you consider breakdancing to be racial? I'm simply referring to the last time I saw this woman on television, and she looked like she was doing an Electric Slide or some kind of other wild dance. Are only black people allowed to dance this way? For your information, I was not priviliged to Obama's speech on race and therefore did not comment on it. I for one have never been nor will be a racist, I have totally excluded racism as a factor in this election, and YOU are the one who comes out smelling racist.
#626 OMG Hillary is not a victim
#627 either the breakdancing statement was racist.. or you're to stupid to know when your being racist
Bonnie... You're right! ... Good Night
bonnie.... The government makes more off each gallon of gas in taxes than the oil companies make off each gallon in
profits. You never hear liberals, that want to raise taxes even more, talk about that. The biggest reason gas is high is
because of Chinese consumption. They are willing to pay, so we have to also. Supply and demand is how it is and how
it should be. Talk about big company cronies, Bill Clinton and Haliburton were as close as they could possibly be. Bill
was closer to Haliburton than Cheney, and Cheney use to work for them, but didn’t give them near as many contracts as
did Clinton. That’s another thing liberals never want to talk about.
george, where you from?...IRAN
Texas
Texas,Iran whats the difference George?
#634 well left to George W, he'd annex Iran to Texas for the oil
He's got till january "09, there's time
lol..wouldn't put it past him to start World War 3... You know can't change Presidents during war time. Iraq technically isn't a war
good point george ,undeclared and all. Goerge what do you think is gonna happen with the war on terrorism? Stupid question huh if i was physically able I'd re-enlist & about 33 years younger.
Dear #29.By: mimi | Apr 01, 22:14
Mrs McCain is showing the same kind of class that Mrs Bush has shown. Whatever one might thing of President Bush we must acknowledge that Mrs Bush is a classy, funny, smart lady. Mrs McCain seems to be very much the same.
Dear #29 Mimi,
Most of the First Ladies have shown class in their wisdom, inclusiveness, wit and understanding. Most of them have also deferrerd to their less able husbands, except a few. Hillary Clinton is one of those and has clearly shown she has integrity, wisdom, courage and stands tall in a man's world. She easily wins the big primary and caucus states needed to win the White House. Do Vote Hillary now, and we'll have an inclusive, wise and experienced White House next year. What a change that would be. Let's elect a woman, Hillary Clinton, for President now and we'll get what we all want... inclusion, equality, understanding, and wisdom!
639.
By: Hillary for
------ Hillary Clinton is one of those and has clearly shown she has integrity, wisdom, courage and stands tall in a man's
world. *************** You have got to be kidding. All Hillary has ever shown is that she hooked onto Bill's coat
tail, to get to some kind of power. Hillary has so little class, she ignored the FACT, that her husband is a rapist, liar,
and predator of young girls his daughters age, Hillary is a liar. Hillary is corrupt insider trader, Hillary is a criminal.
Hillary is the sludge you scrape off the bottom of a septic tank. My dog craps out turds that would make a better person
than Hillary.
Mrs. Cindy McCain would make a wonderful first lady in that she is poised, intelligent, supportive of her husband and loves her country. Seriously, what does it take for people to understand the obvious distaste that Mrs. Obama has for this country! It is quite naive to believe that the Obama family could attend the same church for 20 years and not have been influenced by the message preached by a reverand who has been an integral part of their lives. This is the same man who has preached oppression by our government, genocide against american people of color by our government, terrorism against other countries, along with a disturbing church doctorate that, if quoted by a caucasion would be considered highly racist! Education does not necessarily mean you are intelligent; especially when it translates to hate. Talk about speaking with a forked tongue! As for the Obama's stating that they did not listen to or agree with all of his messages, that is the equivalent of Bill Clinton stating "I didn't inhale..." The doctorate to which I am referring was on the church's website about 4 weeks ago and has since been removed due the controversy surrounding Mr. Obama. As for the Clintons, I am absolutely stunned by the fact that this country would even consider putting the very man that made a complete mockery of the highest office held in this country back into the very house he desecrated! Apparently this country has lost most of its moral fiber! Here is an FYI, people....The reason the economy was so good when Clinton was in office was because of the economic package that President Reagan put into action before he left office. This was in reparation to the economic disaster President Carter created. The economy started to improve the about one year after Clinton took office. Any logical person could surmise that based on history, no one person could get the government to cooperate on anything that quickly. Use your heads people! It is time the citizens in this country start standing up for morality, honesty, integrity and faith which are the very cornerstones upon which this country was founded.
I think Mrs. McCain would be the best choice. She has certainly been through a lot. Her husband was a prisoner of war for several years that must have taken quite a toll on her but she did survive. But the both of them have served their country and want to continue to serve. What loyalty that is we don't see that kind of patroism often today. We need that kind of loyalty in the USA now? I think that this would unite our country heal our wounds and let us begin to work together to rebuild this Great country and stop squabling about Rep/Dem and let's get down to the business of making our country strong from the inside out. Use American money to build up our country and help our people and after that is done help other countries. We should also stop interfering in other countries business that is what the United Nations is all about and the reason that it was assembled. So let them do their business and let us help ourselves so we will be strong again. Many Americans want to again have a love affair with our beloved America. So Mr. & Mrs McCain please help us.
#548...You are really the one racist person, a black woman like Mrs. Obama her persona shows the outside that cannot be fit "first lady" when she says the country is mean she is the one look mean when I see her face. she is not having a personality of being a friendly look like, she's having a phoniest inside of her heart. a black man who marries nonblack woman would not be a resriction to whom they married for. That's why black woman has a problem with black man because of the attitude of a black woman, ask yourself why black man married with nonblack.
If Hillary wins in 2008 and Bill they' (together or alone) would get two US Presidential retirement checks, two US Senate retirement checks, and a retirement check from the State of Arkansas. About the only thing they MIGHT NOT get is a Social Security check....but I wouldn't bet on it....
I understand ole Bill has earned $40,000,000 in the past six years.
What a guy! AND THE REST OF THE STORY... Hilarious Rotten Clinton , as a New York State Senator, now comes under the 'Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan,' which means that even if she never gets reelected, she STILL receives her Congressional salary until she dies. (Would it not be nice if all Americans were pension eligible after only 4 years?) If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary until HE dies. He is already getting his Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she dies. Guess who pays for that? It's common knowledge that in order for her to establish NY residency, they purchased a million dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua , New York . Makes sense! They are entitled to Secret Service protection for life. Still makes sense. Here is where it becomes interesting Their mortgage payments hover at around $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residence 'had' to be built within the acreage to house the Secret Service agents. The Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for the use of that extra residence, which is about equal to their mortgage payment. This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety and security, as well as the salaries for their
12 man staff -- and, this is all perfectly legal!
DO YOU REALLY WANT THE CLINTONS BACK IN THE WHITE HOUSE......I DON'T THINK SO......!!!!!
I can't belive any one with good sense would want Bill and Hillary back in the White House. What a mess that would be for every one,Hillary can't do any thing with out lieing about it,what a women. God help us if she would get elected.
we need respect not a cover up
First of all-I am proud of Greta putting forth the poll. I have reviewed Mr. Obama's speech and comments many times. I am keeping an open mind, and I believe him-that he may not agree with Rev. Wright. HOWEVER-read the e-mails above, M. Obama-is loud, crude, obnoxious, and if you do not think that she will influence her husband if he is elected-you had better think again. She is very intelligent, and her anger will reflux like there is no tomorrow. Bill would be a much better First Laddy! He loves American-but Cindy McCain all the way!!!!!!!!!!!
#574 Vince - Get over it. YOU'VE NEVER COME HERE IN CHAINS! And like what was stated - Jesus DOES NOT AGREE WITH KILLING THE UNBORN. That fact that you Agree with Wright & OBama on that issue alone tells me your NO CHRISTIAN! That pretty much, to me, erases your other arguments. 21ST CENTURY! NO SLAVERY!!! ITS ALL ABOUT YOU VINCE. YOUR THE ONLY RACE WHO EXPERIENCED PAIN, WELL EXCUSSSSSSSSSSSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try looking at others OF EVERY COLOR! DONE TALKING TO YOU!
I first lady named Cindy would be great!!!
Bill Clinton has already shown what he is like. Mrs. Obama has opened her mouth enough to show what she represents, a copy of Wright. Mrs. McCain is a wonderful representive of what a first lady should look and act like. I would be proud to have her as our First Lady.
Hi guys! I am a black man. A white female co-worker asked me today..."why are blacks so anger and hateful?". I was like - "WHOA!" No any more so than whites. She referenced Rev. Wright and that she had never heard anything like that from a white pastor. I informed her that I had never heard anything like that from a black pastor. I told her that blacks tend to be more foreright and outspoken. She said that white people don't have that type of anger and hatred in them generally.
I sent her a link to this blog. She read over 200 submissions. She came by my office and apologized for letting her shock and anger over repeatedly hearing Rev. Wrights comments causing her to loose touch with reality.
That's what I love about blogging. It's anonymous and completely unfilter. I person's true character shines through under these conditions.
Thanks to those of youu who helped me with a 'teachable moment' today!
Kenny... you are welcome for helping you teach your co-worker that Pastor Wright is a racist, Anti American Bigot. Ypou are sooooo correct when you say Rev Wright has lost contact with reality. Like you, I"m sure you agree, Rev. Wright should and will be ostracized by every non racist, intelligent person in America.
Kenny - Just because people are frustrated doesn't mean we HATE. I have only read a couple blogs on here where I would say they are racial in nature. Most are upset with others on here and there comments may indicate something to do with another post. You'd have to start at blog 1 and read through all to make an HONEST evaluation. I've posted myself in reference to some Black Americans who are back in the slavery days while Osama is trying to KILL us all! Dwelling on the past while so many of the radical Muslims want us dead NOW is rather selfish. We need to look at today and now, what is REALLY happening, not WHAT can't be changed. I never owned a slave, never did anything to any Black American, and I find it offensive to be treated as if I had. Frankly I'm just tired of it all. We all have skeletons in our closets. Lets start thinking about tomorrow, which can be changed, rather than the past, which CAN'T BE! I'm sure this will fall on many deaf ears, and the slavery thing will go on and on and on and on...............................
I did the same thing as Kenny. The guy who has the desk right next to me couldn't believe there would be any black Americans that would still have respect for pastor Wright. I gave him this web address, and he was mortified that any black people would stick up for pastor Wright's hateful comments about white people and America. He said, and I quote, "It is shameful a pastor is so filled with hate and racism".
JOE - It is oh so true how many African Americans AND a lot of White Americans still think he is some type of grandiose star.
JOE - It is oh so true how many African Americans AND a lot of White Americans still think he is some type of grandiose star. THAT is for Obama and the fact that people defend Wright - just shows the liberal left is running strong, ignorant but strong.
well it could only be Mrs. McCain she is the only one with class and poise!
Gray... get real will you, what kind of perspective would MO have? ohhh yeah i know now.... she would rent out the lincoln room to Wright Jackson and Sharpton.... We would have reparations paid to all the blacks, and she would have her husband praying with Wright in the white house every day!
Flat out the reason Michelle NObama wouldn't make a good 1st lady is because she is straight up UGLY!!!! and who does her hair?! what's really goin' on with that baracuda mouth and inappropriately fitting clothes ( did u see those nasty thunder thighs at their DEFEAT speech in san Antonio after they lost in Texas? A split in her dress up the FRONT!? YUCK!!! and trashy ) she needs to do some cardio and get a face transplant before she makes ANYMORE public appearances. Ms. McCain ( though I do not support HIM ) is an attractive lady that doesn't come across as a loud mouth bass flapping off everytime a camera aims her way. And I have to say that I do dig Bill because he is just cool....but michelle? that would be an embarrasment with that BEAST in the white house---YUCK!
Cindy McCain seems to have the poise and character required for a President's spouse to be able to appropriately represent the United States.
Unlike Bill Clinton, Cindy McCain has never lied to the American people.
Unlike Michelle Obama, Cindy McCain is not a black separatist who has disdain for the American public.
I will repeat the definition of racist for those of you who continue to misuse it. I have only contributed thought provoking comments to try to help ALL AMERICANS move forward together and understanding each other… and I get called a racist (wow… wait until I tell my White friends and co-workers… they will get a kick out of that).
Racist – One who has a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually INVOLVING THE IDEA THAT ONE'S OWN RACE IS SUPERIOR AND HAS THE RIGHT TO RULE OTHERS.
One who has comments or opinions, like Rev Wright, couldn’t be a racist unless he or she is saying he is superior to those of other races. I didn’t hear any of this in what was said. I heard him giving his OPINION of America. Whether you agree with it or not, that is his right as an American.
For those who are ‘SickofHearingAboutSlavery’ well I am sick of people minimizing the residual effects of how it has affected a community.
I am on this site to try to understand the opinions of those on the ‘far right’, now I suggest many of you should do some research to understand the comments of Rev. Wright. Here is an article, by a White author, I suggest you take the time to read to get an HONEST understanding. Seek an unbiased understanding before you continue to pass judgments:

By the way, Michelle Obama will make a wonderful, classy First Lady. She will be recognized for focus on the American family.
VINCE: Why is it NOT ok for us just to NOT accept your viewpoint? What makes you the ONE on this blog who is right. Most of us have done research IN addition to Fox news. Wrights church website is about "black power". We have our opinions and YOU have yours. Kind of arrogant, I think, for you to thinkg YOURS is the right one! We got your blog the FIRST time.
Corrine - Most of the viewpoints are based on seeing the 30 sec video clip that has been shown over and over and over… that is the extent of their research. Oh… I forgot to mention listening to comments to biased news reporters hooked on sensationalism. My viewpoint comes from attending countless church services (including Rev Wright’s sermons) over a period of 10 years and having a FULL knowledge of the church’s involvement with the Black community AND with people of all colors all over the world. That is not arrogance… that is just being more informed. Arrogance is when you insult me when I am just trying to share this knowledge with others. If you can tell me that you have listened to at least 1 FULL SERMONS, then you can say you have TRULY sought out the truth about him.
Maybe a better definition for you to understand is not “Black Power” but Black Empowerment. Trying to be proactive in fighting against drugs, crime, AIDS, unemployment, and other conditions that exist in the Black community. Not that they don’t exist in other communities, but they RAVISH the Black community. FOX News will pick out the negative about a church bulletin, but they won’t tell you about the countless ministries the church has set up for addressing ALL these issues. They don’t tell you about the hospital that Trinity built from the ground up to service an African community that was in dire need. They don’t even tell you about the respected and talented choir director that was killed earlier this year as results of a violent crime… you would think that would be of interest. No, they want to create a fear in you… knowing that you won’t seek legitimate sources of information for a clearer understanding.

Vince - The day I read Wrights, Church's, websight is the day I felt real fear for Obama becoming President. Fox finally caught up, but it took them weeks. I'm sorry Vince, but our Pastor and the Black Pastor who is in charge of over 100 Baptists Church's in our state NEVER EVER preach that kind of hatred AND I have heard the ENTIRE sermon. Vince, you have a right to take his words and believe in your head and heart what you wish BUT so do the rest of us. Where were you when Alan Keyes was running? There was a man of GOD, HONOR, BRILLIANCE and would have made an awesome President. Too conservative and TOOOOO Christian. Not all that hate in his heart. We'll have to agree to disagree. I pray that Obama does not get in. As a Christian any man or woman that believes or votes someone into office that thinks abortion, the killing of the unborn, is ok IS NOT, DEFINITELY IS NOT a Christian. If you can show me in the King James Bible that Wrights position on abortion is ok with Lord, than I'll LISTEN. If you don't follow CHRIST'S teachings, your following mans. AND if your following Man's your NOT a Christian. Christ is whom I listen to, none other. God Bless You Vince and I Hope Christ Speaks To YOur Heart On These Things. I'm far far from perfect Vince and have made tons of mistakes. I thank the Lord for his forgiveness all the time. But I will ever vote anyone into office who is NOT of Christ.
Vince - PS - It just appals me that Wright would build a 1.7 million dollar home and have the rest of the 10 million, borrowed, sitting there. ALso, there is suppose to be a division of Church and State. Our Church never speaks of politics or skin color, etc. Unless we have missionarys that are serving in other countries, but THATS never about the color of skin, its to help those who need it. The fact that the Black Church can do this and STILL maintain a tax exempt status ALSO makes me angry. You speak of fair, but I don't see a lot of fairness any more. What also is upsetting is that a lot of us grew up in less than well to do neighborhoods and to just think the black people are the only ones who ever suffer, is pretty frustrating. MY white Grandma scrubbed floors. When I was a kid we were never taught to dislike anyone. We lived near Milwaukee. It was a shock to go into a black neighborhood and see bars on the windows of the shops and businesses. NOT to protect them against white poeple BUT their OWN people. The dirt and filth all over. I grew up in a FAR FROM RICH area. People didn't throw paper, rubbish, garbage all over and mowed their lawns. Even the poor did that. I was shocked to see how they would let themselves (NOT ALL NOW) live. Some of the others moved to rural areas and lived well or like us more moderate people. We were so far from being rich. My dad worked like a dog and my mom was home and raised 4 kids. He worked, had to, no matter how sick he was because he didn't get anything or wouldn't accept anything from the government. Never blamed anyone for anything. I'm proud of my family. They didn't have it easy BUT they did it on their own. AND NO COMPLAINING or BLAMING ANYONE ELSE. (my caps are just making a point not yelling)
Corrine - First, thank you for the thought-provoking dialog. This is what I was truly hoping to find on this board because we DO have to try to understand all sides of why people feel the way they do. I DO understand your points. First, Wright’s house isn’t 1.7 million… it’s 1.6 million. Just kiddin.. (I had to offer a little humor). Seriously, I understand your issue with this. I’ve had this conversation with friends about many preachers making lots of money. I can’t vouch for them, but I can share what I have personally observed. Over a period of 30 years service (especially as head pastor), Wright has built up a small corner church to a church that had over 10K members and was known worldwide. Not only has he personally guided the spiritual journeys of thousands of people, he has nurtured a church that's members give generously to others. We have given to projects all over the US and the world… From helping people in Bosnia to joining a movement to help tomato farmers in the US… from battling AIDS in Africa to combating AIDS in the inner city. Trinity has been there, and Rev has led the charge. When not preaching, he was out on the road helping others to grow their churches to serve their communities. Annually he took a group of members to Africa and lived with the tribes-people. This has helped Black Americans find a connection with their heritage thus restoring a sense of self-pride. I have known managers of corporations that do far less than that and live in a million dollar home. All this time, he has lived modestly on the S. Side of Chicago; after all that he has given, why shouldn’t he retire in a nice home. It would be different if he were burning money at a strip club or something like that. And a pastor doesn’t have to take money from the collection plate. There is the annual pastor’s anniversary. One year, 14K people passed through the church to celebrate his anniversary. There was a time in the service where members were asked respectfully to give a voluntary gift. I personally gave $10. There were those who gave more or less, but let’s take a modest average of $10/member. That’s a $140K gift! Invest that well year after year along with your salary and you can afford a few nice things. That is how many of them do it. People value their pastors and the most important thing to them, spiritual guidance. And tax exempt status? Many (not all) churches give more than non-for-profit organizations, so they should be. A Black church like Trinity IS helping people in need… the very community around them. Many are fighting the elements of their neighborhoods. They are angry and they want someone to be empathetic. Many Whites and even some Blacks say, “Get over it and just do better!” But it really isn’t that simple when you come from generations that simply haven’t been shown how to do better. (continued)
Corrine - (continued) I personally have parents that taught me to aspire to do better no matter what situation I face. I am hard working, but I am still the one that gets let go while lesser-qualified White men remain. I know this is all part of competitive ‘corporate America’, but when America catches a cold, Black America catches pneumonia. I grew up in a neighborhood that started off mostly White. The Whites ran to the suburbs because ‘the Blacks were coming’ and you know what? The neighborhood remains nice even to this day. Our neighbors and we kept our property nice, so that isn’t all Black communities. It is about VALUES. Down the road, I too see the hard work of my parents. They sacrificed and never received aid to take care of us… kept our clothes and home clean with very little money. I’ve been more fortunate than others around me, but I don’t condemn like a Clarence Thomas… I am part of this community and I try to share my values to combat the negative elements of the inner city environment. You have to try and understand, and I am not minimizing the efforts of your hard working Grandma scrubbing floors, but many Black people around me have seen generations of their folks scrub floors only to be promised nothing more that to… scrub more floors. For generations, the American dream didn’t apply to us. Now, when it is much more assessable to us too, many Blacks still have chains on their minds. They simply don’t know they can do better. Then many around them that appear to be doing much better are involved in drug dealing. Quick and dangerous money that further destroys the community. The crack head will steal from anyone, even the person closest to him. Most Black people that search for hope to get the chains off their minds take it to the church. It is a psychological issue and the church is like a large therapy session. Bring in what hurts your heart and soul. Let me, as your minister, empathize, I will shout about what pains you, I will let you shout Amen because you know I am preaching YOUR story… and we will take it to God together… we will move beyond that and act to cure these issues that keep us as a people and a community from taking the chains off our minds and moving forward with the rest of America. That is what Black Liberation Theology is about. It is more about Black empowerment. The part that is exploited is where it fights against the injustices that actively work to keep the playing field uneven. When you look at that alone, it may appear hateful. Most Black people don’t blame someone else for their conditions, but they do see the barriers that seem impassable, but they continue to try like any other American to succeed. There are those Black people that want to blame others for everything and think others have it easy. I personally have a problem with that. Life don’t come easy to anyone… Black or White. You have to work hard to succeed. If we all could try to understand each other and TRULY LISTEN to the truth about each other’s American experience, we can build a foundation to move forward as a true ‘melting pot’ nation.
VINCE; I really enjoyed your story. I feel that the more that is taught a small child about all the baggage the more they will grow up hateful. If you put black children and white children together you don't see them descriminating against each other. I can picture the kids asking each other "your a different color" and just accepting it. Kids LEARN to hate and LEARN to descriminate. Its not born in them. So it starts somewhere doesn't it? If a preacher goes on and on and on about how bad things WERE than eventually your just going to produce an angry person. My Mom and her 4 siblings had to quit school to help my Grandmother. My mother worked in a factory in Milwaukee putting seams in stockings. She told me that her best friend when she was a girl, was a young black child named Mercedes. She said they'd hold hands, walk and sing. She said color wasn't even talked of. We just wern't told that somehow a person's color made them either better or worse. My experiences showed me some of the hate in the black community. There will always be the "idiots" out there who will judge us on color, age, weight, etc. I have had a hard time in the past getting a job because of my age. It wasn't fun. I could work at a gas station but business wanted the young, to develop their minds to their own way of thinking I suppose. You know Vince, the only reason, as a white person, I'd be fearful (if thats the proper word and I think it reallllly isn't) is that if I had to fire them for some reason I'd be faced with a lawsuit that I'd fired the person because of their color. I just hear so much of it that I think its becoming a real problem for the black community. I see it so much on these blogs. I don't want Obama in so I'm a racist. Well, as a white person, I find that terribly offensive. I accept your statements about the good Wright has done. I for one Vince believe everyone who isn't so good HAS done things THAT ARE good. I still don't think the Lord looks well on our 1.6 million dollar homes. THere are some quotes in the Bible about the rich and the love of money. I don't have to worry, my husband and I don't fall into that category. We live from $30,000-$40,000 a year. Depending on work. We are very blessed. We have everything we need and want. We watch our money, pay our bills. We accept responsibility for what we do. I'm pretty upset about the govt. wanting to help the dopes who signed on the dotted line to buy homes they can't afford. I get "angry" when those of us who work hard, pay our bills, don't live off the system ARE PENALIZED. We pay for those who are too lazy, greedy and just plain stupid. I don't mind helping the elderly and the disabled. But the poor? If your healthy get a job. I had to pack pototao chips at a factor to make money at one time, didn't go to the county for help but I was raised to work. My parents worked very hard and we were taught well. My Dad taught us that your "name" meant something. It identified you good or bad. Vince just look at New Orleans and all the entitlements some of those people rec'd. I did speak to a person who worked his fingers to the bone to redo what they had lost. Truthfully, I don't think they would have dropped off trailers, given homes, paid for motel rooms, etc. if the population HAD been mostly white. A community 30 miles west of us was hit by a tornado, the entire town demolished. No govt. dropping trailers there and no motel rooms. I never see the govt. helping us "white" people in our catastrophes but most of us don't feel govt. entitlement. We have to have house or apartment insurance, which we are taught by our parents. We look to communities, Churches, fund raisers. Thats how people help each other where I'm from. My husband drives for the clothing ministry in our community. A lady from our church and her daughter collect the clothes. Thousands of pounds are taken t "Mary's Place" in Minnesota. T
VINCE: This lady, Mary, has buildings that encompass blocks. She has an apartment complex to help people get on their feet. She provides help but the man MUST get a job. People of all colors, ages, sizes stand in line twice a day to be fed by her hand. She receives NO govt. help. This is all contributions from public businesses and people. We bring loads of clothes several times a year. Have sat up in the lunch room and talked to people. Some are drug addicts. She feeds them all. Some need loans, she helps. If your ever in the Minneapolis area take the tour. Its awful to see people living on the streets. Some just don't want to work. She is a strict disciplinarian BUT will feed all who are hungry AND good meals. She won't give money to those people, I don't think. But like I said there are free cloths and food. Our friend makes tons of new quilts that are donated to the apartments. Moving on, I havn't read Bill Cosby's book but I want to. I've heard him talk and Blacks don't seem to like him because he thinks they should quit blaming others, take responsibility and work to get ahead. There will always be the stupid who wish to discriminate against people because of color, sex, size, etc. Those foolish people, some your just not going to change their minds. I think that the Black Community has to work to KEEP their kids in high school. So many drop out and have kids that we take care of. Theres plenty of whites on the welfare rolls too. Our state has somewhat gotten away from that to one degree than we open up another type door to put them back on in some way. I am frightened of Obama Vince. I felt it in my gut that he will be a danger to our country. Get Mr. Keyes to come into the picture and I'll guarantee you he'd get my vote in a heartbeat. The first time my husband and I heard Mr. Keyes speak, well he captured our hearts AND our vote. Too bad he got no where. AGAIN, too Christian and too conservative. Its been so nice communicating with you. Your the other side though Vince. Taking responsibility, working hard, etc. You think with your head and don't let your emotions control you. I KNOW when I let MY emotions control me I make bad decisions. Very Bad decisions in how I speak and what I do. Thats why we have to think about that and use our head and thought process's. God Bless You Vince.
She's freakin' smokin'! I don't know what McCain did to deserve such a stone fox. That isn't meant as a sexist comment. It's a point in his favor. He must have done something right. Feminine intuition is no joke.
G
I want Hillary back in! [I mean, how could we EVER have TWO really great, smart minds working for our country? Thats just not right.] *Stuff done in brackets is said in a very sarcastic tone.
Is it me, or is Cindy McCain the only person who understands that the first spouse is not elected to any office and as such does not have a mandate to create policy? I think Michelle O and Mr. Hillary Clinton can both learn a lot from Laura Bush.
I think that either of the ladies can do it.
