By the way Rev. Wright is NOT Obama's side kick! You need to look at the bigger picture and not what people are telling you. You obviously hav'nt been watching the election. On top of that there is no war against white people... besides the one in your mind. Most of all your comment has nothing to do w/ the cover of Vogue.

I believe it is a bit racist! At first I wasnt sure and I thought it might be just misunderstood, until I saw the comparison to an old poster. King Kong has his mouth wide open with a bat in his right hand and a white woman in his left. The white woman has this flowing blonde hair and is wearing a blue dress. It is so much like this cover its crazy! I think the photographer knew exactly what she was doing. Just like she knew what she was doing w/ Miley Syrus. Its a low blow and a desperate attempt to sell magazines. Its sad really!

The problem with the cover is that it reinforces racist stereotypes of black men being hulking, aggressive, dangerous and threatening to American society. So you have an image of an angry black male alongside the image of a petite, fraile white woman. This is obviously wedded in the subconscious of whomever chose the cover.

Wintour and Lebovitz really should read up on semiotics.

The cover is _completely_ offensive. And they should really consider testing their covers using a multi-cultural panel.

Racist? Against white people or blacks? Presumably against whites since Reverend Wright and his side-kick Obama have started a war against whites in the 08 campaign.
