The Plant that has the biggest influence in our lives

clearly has to be wheat which has fed so many people

my vote was for wheat because it has so many good uses

i voted for wheat as it feeds so many people

wheat got my vote because its our basic diet

the horse chestnut got my vote as this was the first tree i saw

grass is No 1 as so many animals eat grass and you play sport on it

papyrus - books are the seat of learning

papyrus - light material for communication

garlic - because when you cut it your eyes water

tea - its social/cultural identity; almost chose wheat though!

cotton - to make clothing

cotton because we use it in schools all over the world and it is really popular

cotton - it comes in all different colours and is pretty

English oak - we use it for buildings, furniture, ships

english oak - the landscape would be barren without oaks

the rose - they smell nice

the rose - its Britains symbol!

the rose because it has made people happy by looking at it

wheat got my vote but the other plant that would get my vote would be TOBACCO

wheat - because its used to make bread our staple food

english oak because houses are made out of it

even though horse chestnut is a tree i prefer the english oak and trees clean the air

the oak - food from acorns, wood for building ships from early times

the oak - furniture, house making etc

cotton - brought us clothing etc

tea - cos y'canae wack a cuppa

papyrus - it enabled knowledge, storage and transfer

grass - cows turn it into milk which sustains life as cheese, butter etc

sad or happy tea makes it better; home from holiday tea aahhh

the english oak - its the oldest tree and we need trees to stay alive

english oak - because we couldn't of had furniture

wheat - we eat it

my vote would be a baby pink flower because i like baby pink

my vote would be dandylion - they are fun for blowing

cotton, garlic and tea get my vote because you have garlic bread and tea to drink and we wear cotton

tulip gets my vote - its a flower

papyrus - because its done so much for us all; the written word passed on and now ecologically - brilliant

tea - its used everyday

wheat - staple diet, life sustaining

the Romanian Daisy would get my vote because it looks like a British daisy

rice gets my vote - more peoples staple diet

the english oak - it is the traditional plant of England; also good for climbing

english oak - out of little acorns grow great oak trees

cotton - we need clothes

papyrus - paper has become an integral part of our civilisation

papyrus - without it there wouldn't be this form

Although I'm happy to experience the various plants that different countries and cultures have to offer whilst on my travels I couldn't be without my selection of teas, in particular Earl Grey and Rooibos with vanilla. Tea comes in many flavours and colours (green, red, black, orange, lavender, etc). You can even have Christmas tea. How good is that!!
