I'm 75. All my life I've heard and was taught from little on up "That birds of a feather, flock together". I'm not ready to entrust the leadership of the most powerful country in the world to the friend of someone who could shout to the world "God damn America"

Mar 14, 2008 6:53pm ET

I think he left the church and retired because Obama knew the water was getting rough with this pastor being head of his church and he had a lot to answer to so he probably requested pastor to retire! How convenient that now he is retiring.... Why didn’t Obama leave the church years ago? He must have believed what the preacher preached!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t buy any of it!!!!!! Joyce

BHO went to this church for 20 years! The religion issue is a huge deal here. He never walked out of the church and went somewhere else. Why? So now that is he running for President, he needs to explain why he never denounced him before this. Sean Hannity brought up this issue almost a year ago, but the media gave BMO a free pass and never questioned him. The media made a big deal out of Mitt Rommey's religion, but no, don't ask BHO about his religion. It is too late, he is done in my book. It is over for him. I would not want this man for President at all.

Hi Greta: I have been waiting to fine out about the Real Obama-I neither liked nor disliked him, I just never knew who he really was. I believe we are starting to find out the friends he keeps and what they believe in. I still have not decided who I will vote for. I am generally more conservative, but the right truly does not have an appreciation for the working class. I recall when you were interviewing Mitt Romney, and you asked him a question regarding the economy and the working folks, all he could say was he wasn't worried about the rich, but he really did not have a clue about the working or poor. As far as the three running, I look at it this way. If they were to fill out an application or a resume and submit for the position of "President " Obama would not meet the qualifications and Hilliary would be shaky. Only McCain would get an interview. Respectfully, Cathy

At a time when most everyone is trying to eliminate racialism, treading lightly, to be careful of what is being said so not to say anything that can be construed as racist, here comes this "minister" spewing anti-white remarks. People who have a tendency to be racist, now have a perfect example to use to give affirmation to their belief system. This man has widened the gap, threatening the progress that race relations have made through the years. Too bad he didn't spend some time with Martin Luther King. It's just sad.

Mar 14, 2008 7:18pm ET

Senator McCain pussy-footed around the issue by saying that Obama is not responsible for the reverend's views and statements. What bothers me is that Obama has endorsed Wright by his many years of association and affiliation with the man and his church! But I fear that it will make no difference to the star-gazing liberals who worship at the shrine of Obama.

How could Senator Obama attend a church for 20 yrs. and befriend the pastor if he did not agree with the pastors views??He is only denouncing his support now because this has all been exposed. Why didnt he quit the church before all this came out. Surely, he attended sevices and heard all this hatred spewing out of the preachers mouth. He must have agreed or he would not have been a loyal parishiner for 20 yrs. This is scary! Now I worry about what "Changes" he is really wants to make to America.

Pastor's are also called shepherds, they are mentors and leaders. I find it unbelievable that this would be the first instance in 20 years that B.O. would have heard these incendiary comments. Even if that is so, the subtle message over time in his sermons would reflect the same basic philosophy. Mr. Obama will not survive this. White America will not believe these are not his views.

Joy
Mar 14, 2008 10:07pm ET

I find it hard to believe that a man you've known for twenty years, consider him your mentor and view him as an "uncle" and you are unaware of these outragious beliefs and views. It doesn't make any sense. You might not agree or adhere to his beliefs, but you would have to have some idea of where this man stands!

Barack Obama has admitted using illegal drugs in his youth, he is said to have favored socialist professors during his college years, he has admitted that Tony Rezko raised $250,000 for his first three years as an Illinois state senator, that doing business, in real estate, with Tony Rezko was a lapse in judgment and where his pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr, has been issuing anti-American and anti-white, racist sermons. Barack Obama has said his admitted use of illegal drugs is an indiscretion in judgment, his involvement with tony Rezko is a lapse in judgment and the concepts of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. are contrary to what he, Obama, believes. However, the fact still remains that Obama did make the overt decision to try drugs, he did make the decision to accept money from and deal with Tony Rezko and he did continue his member ship with Trinity Church and Jeremiah Wright Jr. in spite of what Wright Jr. was preaching. At the very least Obama needs to explain why, when he knew what was going on in Trinity Church, he elected to continue his membership there. Why he elected to have his marriage there. Why he elected to have his children baptized there. And, most of all, why he chose to have Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. as his personal mentor. How much of what Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. believed really soaked into Obama’s psyche, in spite of what he says or denies? At the very least, Barack Obama should have terminated his membership in Trinity Church and moved to a church that was not racist and was not anti-American and anti-white. It is hard to believe that Obama did not know what was being preached in his own church and that he was not so offended that he would be moved to change his church membership. Further, if, as Obama says, his relationship with illegal drugs and his relationship with Tony Rezko were “lapses in judgment” how does that stand to put him into the highest position in the land as President of the United States and, arguably, the strongest individual on the planet. Who is to say that, at a crucial time in America’s future, he will not have another “lapse in judgment” when it is crucial to the United States to make the correct decision and follow the correct policy. So, the question remains, is Barack Obama actually for “all” Americans and is he truly qualified to take the highest office in the land and lead the people of the United States in a global community. Certainly Barack Obama is an intelligent man, he is a charismatic man and he is a eloquent man when he is making speeches on the stump. But is he really the man with qualifications to become President of the United States at a time when the experience and leadership, that Obama doesn’t have, is crucial to the interest of the Untied States? Personally, I think not, but let the electorate decide.

The guy is an out and out liar. How an American can vote for this hateful, racist, lowlife liar is beyond me. This guy is evil in human form, and I'm referring to Obama. What we are witnessing is an attempted hostile take over of the United States. May God truly help us if he somehow gets elected by our stupidity.

Has none of you had a close friend who sometimes said crazy things? If not, then get a life! This is a witch hunt and not a desire to engage real issues. Unity and change are possible with Obama and with no one else--all tied to the old guard. If you've never lived outside the comfortable and consuming U.S. you can't know in what contempt we have long been held for our international arrogance and our internal violence and racism. Yes, the chickens are coming home to roost. And our economy can't buy us out of it this time. Only diplomacy and unity and change can.

Obama's wife's comment, now his pastor (uncle, mentor, friend). Now we are seeing the true side. What kind of pastor is that and what Christ is he following - just where is the love???? And Obama sits in that church under that shepherd's teaching. His children are being raised in that church. Look what is being instilled there. He criticizes Hillary Clinton's judgment. What about his????

I decided I would rather see Obama win rather than Hillary, since I'm tired of Clintons. Now, I've changed my mind. How could Obama have stayed in that church with its racial, hatred views. I'm a Hillary supporter and have been waiting for the press, and America, to wake up to some of the downfalls of voting for an "unknown" like Senator Obama. What really concerns me is that Michelle Obama can say she's only now proud to be an American and Obama's pastor can say GD America, but none of this is supposed to affect our view of Senator Obama? What is he, the next Teflon president? It's unfortuante. I thought he could have a huge future at some point in the future, but now he might be down and out for good. The Reverend Wright demonstrates that under cover of the cross and in the name of organized religion, our freedoms are being destroyed from within. It is ironic that Senator Obama may be derailed by someone of his own race and in the scheme of things, this is tragic.

This is very alarming. The fact that he has been associated with this type of hatred for 20 years as well as his wife too. Mark, VA
Mar 14, 2008 10:14pm ET

I am happy to see Obama denounce this pastor. But, he has been around this pastor for 20+ years. Why would someone stay with a church with a pastor that preaches such hate? This cannot be new. I am finding it hard to believe that some of these beliefs are not within Obama. I keep hearing that the Democratic primaries are not about race, but this just brings it to the forefront further. If a white preacher said the same in reverse he would be expelled and called a racist. Racism means prejudges or intolerance against another race. Well, Rev. Wright you are a racist. It does apply to you. It does not only apply to white people, and if nothing else comes out of this election I hope people will start to understand that.

Eva

We are in a wonderful country. The black community needs to stop making excuses for their trials. If Oprah can come from Mississippi and make billions, then ALL of the blacks should shut up and just do something. I, as an educated WHITE Mississippian, am tired of hearing the "poor pitiful me" excuse. I will support ONLY MY WHITE RACE!!!!!!!! And it is because of men like Obama's preacher. I believe he LIED in front of all of us! He knew all this was happening...he cannot deny it..unless he is deft, dumb and blind....I believe he is just trying to get past this one and it probably is going to hurt him badly. However, the black people only see the color not the person....they are blind to him and anything he has or has not done wrongly.....He knew a year ago about all of this...we cannot believe he has been in this church for this long and didn't hear or see any of this...well BS...as the Pastor said! I think Obama lied when he said he wasn't aware of the extent of the pastor's remarks and that he didn't personally hear any of them. If he went to the church for 20 years there is no way he didn't know his pastor was anti- American. Obama is a liar trying to save his political career. Now his wife's remarks about "the first time I am proud to be an American" make sense. I doubt if anyone attending that church is proud to be an American.

I am so sad. I think God must be crying over Wright saying G..d... America. I am sad for the people in his congregation, their children, the people that meet them on the street. They all need our prayers for the hate that must be inside them. I am also sad that all of the hope that Obama talked about is shadowed by this hate his pastor of 20 years speaks about. I thought a lot of Obama, now I am just sad for him and his family and for his children. I wondered where racism started, now I know it is church's like Obama's. It is certainly not in my church, or my school, or in my family.

Jesus was a jew, and the real jews were black. the bible say so in the book of Revelations, the reason the white jews don't believe in the new testament of the bible is because the book of Revelations says the jew are not jews but the son of Satan, and the Quran curses the red Arabs as the worst of the muslims, so the devils seeds would be brothers, and look a like huh? this is sound right reasoning, My question is why can't 2 brothers kids can't get along. nuwabu

What a joke, saying he never heard these views. Pastor Wright is a idiot, and needs promoted to all the american people. I hope that americans are not so stupid that they do not see the light! I think his presidental campaign is history. The Pastor sounds like a Hitler wanna be!

In Major Garrets interview, Barack Obama, after saying that he attends church regularly albeit sporadically, claims that he didn't hear Wrights remarks, asserting they were an anomaly, then states these statements "were strung together from hundreds of sermons?" Now were they an anomaly or were they spoken in hundreds of sermons? It can't be both.

You do not sit in a pastor's pew for 20 years, get married by him, call him a mentor, use one of his speech titles as a title for your own book, put him on your advisory council, and then claim you didn't know that he had those incredibly hateful positions. Unless you agreed with them and felt quite comfortable with them... Obama will blackwash the whole issue...or falsely apologize as if he did not know...and the leftist media will give him a pass.

ALL: I have been an OBAMA fan for the past 6 months. And now I can see that OBAMA is an ultra HATE AMERICA LIBERAL. I voted for him . . . and I love to hear him speak! BUT NOW since he WILL NOT distance himself from his 20 year pastor -- I'm finished with him. I will not vote for him . . . and he is off my LIST! I was an avid supporter. I am a conservative white professor, and I believed OBAMA until now. His pastor preaches hate and swears saying GOD D*mn America. I am appaled at this hate speech. OBAMA is weak and slow to do anything about this. I no longer trust OBAMA! dr.m.

Well, what I really hear Obama saying as he is making his clam to fame relative to "judgement" is that he lacks such. Does he honestly think Americans believe he went to this church 20 years and did not hear these horrid comments? And does he think for one second that Americans have not noticed his refusal to honor the flag of the country he wants to lead? And does he realize that he has done more to divide this country than anyone has to unite this county? Who could ever believe his judgement would bring forward decisions that would be in the best interest of this country? He makes George Bush look like a red rose.

Political leaders should not be held accountable for all the view points of their supporters. However, if they are directly related or members in good standing in the church or the association they are in affect showing their support of the association or preacher. Senator Obama has been a member in good standing for 20 years at Rev. Wright's church, I believe that Obama's true nature and attitude about "White" America has and is being revealed. I also believe that this reveals why Obama will not wear an American Flag on his lapel or show proper allegiance to the flag when the national anthem has been played. America better wake up and notice the wolves tail sticking out of the sheep's garments. Obama should strongly condemn the attitude and actions of his pastor and he needs to put the "American" flag on his lapel. After all this press I am sure "White" America is a "mean country". I would like to know of Senator Oboma's position on "White" America and if he is in any way in agreement with Rev. Wright's Anti-America hate filled religion. Obama should resign from the senate and the presidential campaign.

I find it hard to believe that Sen Obama who has been attending this church for in excess of 20 yrs, has never been there for these horrible anti-American "sermons" and he is trying to let the American people believe he never knew of these comments! Obama considers this pastor his mentor, spiritual advisor, and a spiritual advisor for his campaign, so who are we to believe he does not think this way if he holds this guy in such a high stature in his life to marry him, and to baptize his children! Wake up America, there is alot of questions about this guy!

OBAMA OBVISOUSLY AGREES WITH THIS PREACHER. I BELIEVE BEING A BLACK MAN IN A WHITE MAN'S WORLD IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT NO MATTTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE. IT HAS BEEN HARD FOR THE BLACK MAN AND WOMAN BUT MOSTLY FOR THE BLACK MAN. THERE COULD HOWEVER BE A UNDERLINING AGENDA THAT OBAMA HAS AND WE AMERICANS NEED TO REFLECT ON THIS. If I closed my eyes, it could have been a radical muslim chanting the reteric instead of an spiritual advisor to who might be the next president of the United States of America. I believe this will be the end of Mr. Obama. His explanation was an insult. Does he really expect us to believe he did not know the ramblings of this anti American. I think he has rightfully lost the white vote. Citizens who were willing to entrust and accept an African American for President, will now be turned off and afraid.

How come you are ignoring the inflammatory comments of Rod Parsley (John McCain's spiritual advisor) and Pastor Hagey?? And where was the outrage when Rev. You cannot talk about Obama's Pastor without talking about these equally outrageous "ministers" of the Gospel.

I had heard previously about the church's affiliations but disregarded it because I like Obama. He has no business running this country with his anti-America beliefs. I would rather have Hilary in office than Obama after hearing all of his "associations". The comments by his 20 year long time friend and Pastor made me want to vomit. I don't care what he has to say...three strikes let's hope he's out! I will not vote for him! PERIOD!!!! Why not get Bin Laden in here to run the country, then the chickens would really have come to roost. Makes me sick!!!!! Lincoln was right we will be destroyed "from within".

I am a pastor as well. I believe Jeremiah Wright's comments are not only racist and anti-American, but I believe them to be anti-Christian as well. How this man can call himself a voice for God is beyond me. And the idea that Barack Obama claims he has been a member of this church, and under this pastor, for 20 years and didn't know of his anti-American, racist views is nothing short of a farce. I denounce both of these men as credible and seriously question their judgement and integrity.

I think this is serious for Obama. Although he may not have heard these comments at church, he must have been exposed to this while being mentored for twenty years. Everyone is titled to their opinions, as his pastor is. Perhaps Obama only believes a very small part of these statements. But even believing some of what his pastor says makes me question his ability to guide this country without having some kind of influence from this person. I like Obama. Although Americas motives may not be the purest at all times, but hey you could be living under a Saddam.

I am appalled that this country can't see what is going on around us with Obama. Back when this country's reputation meant something and families meant something, Obama would have been arrested for treason by just associating himself with these people. They hung a woman when A. Lincoln was assinated just for letting a group of men talk in her boarding house. If you ask me, we need to go back to those days when AMERICA meant something to Americans and the rest of the world. No wonder they call us "The Great Satan". This is the scariest election ever and we need to wake up.

This is racism and hate preaching. It's on their church website that they only pledge allegiance to the African flag. This alone show Obama's anti american support. Hi Greta; Wow! If a white preacher would have stood up in the pulpit and said even 1/2 the things this man said, it would been bye-bye to their non-profit status. Also, the charge of racism would have been immediate and the ACLU would have been all over their church. By the way, if we cannot advertise and run a pageant called, "Miss White Pageant" why can the black's have "Miss Black Pageant?" When I commented on this happening in Ardmore, OK my comments were blocked by the Ardmoreite.com crew. You see, the blacks have free speech, but we don't. I respect all races, but I don't go around slamming them. Why should we be their punching bags and have no right to defend our honor? I truly believe that we are ALL created equal. Greta, Senator Obama said that he took the Rev. Mr. Wright's recorded sermons with him when he went to Harvard. With so many of these hateful, hurtful things Wright said now coming out, are we to believe that he was not saying them back then? The bio on Wright says that he is the son of a Baptist minister but he could not find a chuch because of his radical views on black power until he was offered a church of less than 100 members, Trinity. If his rhetoric was known then, are we now to believe that he kept it to himself until recently and Obama was totally in the dark about this? I think not.

How can Obama expect us to believe that he did/does not know the feelings and opinions of the preacher in the church he has been a member of for so long as well as a family friend. Regardless of whether or not Obama "heard" the comments said by Mr. Wright, there can be no mistake that he and his wife knew of the feelings he espouses about America. And for him to remain a member of the church speaks volumes about how he truly feels.

A person's church is a reflection of a person's value. A church's pastor is the leader that supposedly leads by example. If Senator Obama does not have the judgment to understand what kind of assiciation he belongs to and who are the leaders, how can his judgment be trusted anywhere else?

I am struck by the audience cheers of agreement with the preacher and that my support of affirmative action to speed the process of racial equality in America has earned me the hatred of black Americans. Mar 14, 2008 10:17pm ET

What is very important about watching the scenes of Obama's pastor is to watch the congregation's reaction to his comments. Their reaction is that of excitement and dancing and pumping their fists. From these actions it is obvious that this is not something that ocurrs only on a few occassions, but occurrs on a regular basis and is something that they are used to, and obviously, look forward to with jumping out of their seats excitement. So, for Obama to say in his response that these type of comments did not occur on a regular basis or he would have left that 'church' is obviously not true. This type of sermon was expected, welcomed, and praised in that 'church'.

Mar 14, 2008 10:17pm ET

Ok lets be real. Obama is in agreeance with this Reverend who is considered racist. Doesn't even make since. His own mother is white, his grandparents who raised him is white and he is half white. So get real. Talk to all the white people who are apart of that congregation. You right wingers will try anything. I am a white Pennsylvanian that will be pulling the lever for Barack Obama. This is such a BIG deal...thank God that Fox is covering it-as the mainstream media is ignoring it. I agree with Jim (bird of a feather)...We teach our children about preception and that if they hang around with kids that make bad choices-they will be considered guilty by association-this goes for adults too. Also-if he wasn't "buying" what Rev Wright was selling-he could have always gone to another church-but he has been there for 20 years! Add this to Michelle Obama's "odd" remarks about her "pride" in the country-and it really leads one to question. I am afraid that this controversy could set race relations in this country back 50 years...I am even more afraid that this man could get elected-hopefully this will open some peoples eyes...this is a BIG Deal!!!!!! Let's hope America wakes up in time!

For him to say that he would have left the church had he "heard this repeatedly" means that he HAS heard it. Obviously, this minister didn't just come up with this recently. I think he has no chance to win and I was voted for him in primary! That won't happen again.

This is typical American left speaking, this person in my opinion has shown no acceptable reason to be believed to have any type if theoligical acceptance by our maker. Using foul and vial language in front of children alone shows that this person is not right with his maker. May we be blessed with Amercian's coming to the defense of our core values and lift up our maker and not condemn our neighbors - prior to voting someone of Barrack's beliefs to our Commander in Chief.

This demonstrates several things about Obama that have not been well known in the popular media. 1) He does not exercise god judgement in who he associates with. He has several campaign team members that are free lancing on a world stage. He has been financially inter-involved with an alleged campaign finance law breaker. And, now we see a long term association with a person that describes our country in the most extreme terms. 2) This demonstrates how little Obama has been vetted by the public and the media. He had virtually an uncontested campaign for US Senate in IL, was missing in action in many votes in the Illinois Senate and has not been effectively examined by the media or his own voters. We all would welcome a new faces into the political process, but they must permit themselves, their views and their associations to be well understood before being entrusted with our freedom and the most powerful job in the world. We don't know who Barack Obama is. It is time to know.

I think the messages of seperatism and difference that Reverand Wright has preached will derail Obama's campaign. How can a country possibly move forward under Obama's leadership if his faith has grown from a house of worship that preaches focuses on racial intolerance?

Mar 14, 2008 10:17pm ET

I find it highly unlikely that Senator Obama could attend the same church for so many years and not be fully aware of the hatred and bias toward America and the white race demonstrated by his preacher. Obama may not have been present to hear the exact words of his preacher that have been aired on TV recently, but the message cannot have been that different on many other occasions.

I have been a Republican all my life. I was taken in by Obama. He had me feeling hope, and I really felt I would vote for him if he were the Dem. candidate in November. After listening to that hatred filled militant black man that is his pastor, I have to change my mind. There is absolutely NO CHANCE that Obamas did not know this is where this guy was coming from. The Pastor was whipping the black congregation up into a froth, setting race relations back centuries. I am shocked and dismayed. Now, I don't even know if I will vote at all, because I surely won't vote another Clinton into the White House. This is a sad day for America, and race relations within our country. Kathy

I not surprised by what happen. You need remember it was just a few weeks that Michelle Obama is just now proud to be American. That makes you wonder if the were at some of the sermons. Minister do not just change there sermon just because of who is in the congregation. Many Minister preach on sermons for several weeks.

This in my opinion is a direct reflection on the real convictions that Senator Obama really believes... and this Pastor and church should have their tax exempt status removed...even though there have been great strides in the racial divide in America, this can only do more to set us back...why do blacks continue to press the whites for racial bias...when over and over key black leaders promote racial bias...

Obama is an angry black man just like his Satanic reverend Right. How any white person could ever vote for such a person as obama, who regularly attended this bizarro world of a church is beyond me. Obama lived the American dream and he knows it. I thought he wasn't "black enough" and now all of a sudden he is. Why isn't his reverend teaching about unity and forgiveness in the pulpit instead of disunity and pure evil from the pit of hell. Osama... sorry, Obama should drop out and get the heck out of my country. Him or his reverend do not belong here.

I'm glad Newt brought out the fact that after 20 years of hearing this kind of hate speach - you're bound to start believing it...AND it is no coincidence that Obama will not pledge allegiance to the US Flag, not even to wear a lapel pin. And he really is suffering because his ancestors were inslaved....Harvard....oh my what a tough life! I'm not saying slavery was right - but HE and his WIFE certainly are better off than the folks in Mosambique and Nigeria! Aweful American who DOES salute the flag and LOVES my country....

Wright is a black racist. This type of speech is reprehensible, especially in a so-called 'church.' The only other person that I have heard speak in this manner is Fred Phelps, so perhaps he and Wright should join forces. There is an old saying, "If you lie with dogs, you get fleas." B. Hussein has fleas.

After listening to the news these past few days (atleast from non biased stations), America needs to re-evaluate their thoughts on Obama. A man, that stated he's known the reverand for 20years, can not, and look me in the eye, didn't know what this reverand was about! Perhaps Obama isn't a racist, perhaps he "loves" all Americans, but it leads me to believe he wants you to believe this to become President. As much as I don't want Hillary to run, Obama really needs to drop out!

By: Tawny Ameling | Mar 14, 22:16 I think that Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr has every right to speak like that. As a white american young adult I feel the same as he does. I am insulted that he actually believes people are so stupid to believe on one hand he has attended this church for 20 years, was married by Pastor Wright, had his children baptized by Pastor Wright, characterizes Pastor Wright as an "uncle" and lists him as a spiritual adviser, yet on the other hand accept his version that this is the first time he's ever heard Pastor Wright make these reprehensible statements? Please.....If Senator Obama is as close to Pastor Wright as he's claimed in the past, I guarantee he has heard MUCH WORSE. This is an outrage!!!!

I caucused for Obama in WA State.. If I knew he belonged to a racist and anti semetic church I would have went for hillary. I attend a church and most every church (his included) states their fundamental beliefs. That church belief system is very racist. As a white male who caused for 2 hours in obama's behalf I am ashamed to learn his affiliation. If I attended a church that espoused the same views but replaced black with white I would be guilty of attanding a white supremacy church. Sen Obamas judgement is in question after spending 20 years at that church..

Senator Obama says he never heard his pastor say this things. All well and good, but now that he has heard, as have the rest of us, he should take his family to a church with true Christian, biblical values. There is a church in Chicago whose Pastor is Bill Winston. I've heard his teaching and his teaching and preaching is Bible-based. Good teaching to sit under, Mr. and Mrs. Obama, and raise your children.

You don't attend a church where you disagree with the minister's philosophy. BO should also know that you are judged by the company that you keep. If he didn't know what was being said, he should have found out. It's a little to late for him to try and distance himself now, don't you think?

Mar 14, 2008 10:18pm ET

I can not believe that in this day (post 9/11) that he would be allowed or our government would allow this man to continue to run for President. If a student makes statements like these, they are immediatly investigated for terrorism. Although the words were not uttered directly from his mouth, Obama is a follower and supporter of this man. Is this reverse racism? I am appauled at this Preacher's teachings, if this is what goes on in predominately African American churches, no wonder we have racism in this country.

If it is necessary for one to take every aspect of Obama's life to attempt to find flaws and shortcomings then that is fine. One must understand and take these comments that the Rev. preached with a grain of salt. It is disgusting to shun a man for the words of another. Was Hillary Clinton responsible for the racist words of her husband?! Was she condemned for having racist notions and tendencies. Let this man run without bringing unnecessary outlandish claims. Let us all recall anything we have ever heard from our religious leaders, have you agreed with everything that was said, all at times!?!?!?!?!

Obviously, someone has been listening to the "Preacher", as Mrs. Obama has stated, that she was (just) now proud to be an American.....If you were to change the "preacher's" words from "white" to "infidel", it would sound a lot like one of Alqaeda's propaganda speeches.

It is laughable to hear Mr. Obama state that after 20 years of sitting in the pews of this Church and being a close friend of this pastor .. that he has never heard this type of language in Wrights preaching... "I bugie hanno i gambi corti" is an Italian expression that translates to, "Lies have short legs". The truth cannot be outrun. The real Obama has been exposed. He is a racist. His associates are racist and haters (Farrakhan and his "pastor"). It took extreme pressure before he partially repudiated Farrakhan's endorsement. The fact that he does not wear a U.S. Flag on his lapel was at first discarded as unimportant. What does one think of that, now that they have heard his anti-American, racist "pastor"? More importantly, how many voters are familiar with his Senate voting record? That speaks for itself. If this man is elected as our President, we will all suffer.

A president has to represent ALL THE PEOPLE not just one segment. The rich, the poor, the black. the white the bright people, and the not so bright. The not so bright being the ones that do not realize 20 years attending a church and not knowing of the retoric being esposed will not wash. The people surrounding a politian give you a very good idea of the true man, not the facade the politician wants you to see. This man i so slick he scares me. Well, well, well, welcome to how Black America have been feeling and fearing for 200 plus years, electing White America into public office whose platform in the past have been to hate and keep black people on the outside looking in. How can one person's view be that of one of another. Barack goes to church to worship the Lord, he does not go to sensor what his Pastor has to say. There are many white churches, especially in the south, that their Sunday sermon is that to preach hate. As a Black American, who is able to pass and go to these sermons to have an idea of what is preached, is unbelievable. I feel that the people who are uncomfortable are the ones that perpetuate exactly what the Pastor is preaching about, the differences in the treatment of White America vs. Black America and all other minority groups.
