Team names should not have state names, like the 2 teams which have Punjab and Rajasthan in there names, as these teams are not representing the state, instead the region which covers 4-5 states, so it is unfair to have state names in the team name. Also with there names in the team name shows that these states are great and big in that region. IPL should not divide people in the name of caste. that is why my vote is for MUMBAI INDIANS, because they represent first indians and then west indians.

Too many 10-year olds writing comments :) Does anybody else think that the IPL team names are some of the cheesiest and most unimaginative ones ever heard in Sports? Four of the franchise names mean almost the same (Super Kings, Kings XI, Royals & Royal Challengers). The names should reflect that one special thing about the cities/states. If not that, at least the names should roll off the tongues. but the chosen names fall woefully short of that. Hyderabad Nawaabs, Mumbai Mauraders etc should have been better.. So pathetic!

In my opinion, the top 3 teams are - Super Kings, Deccan Chargers & Dare Devils. Next come Knight Riders, Kings XI, Indians, Royal Challengers & Royals. Lets see.
