No question England were the worse side. Not that the USA could expect to beat England more than twice out of ten, but relative to what they should have been able to do, they were worse. That said, I dearly wish there were a Euros-style tournament covering the entire western hemisphere every four years, running concurrent with the Euros. It would make pulling for the US much more fun than knowing that our next meaningful matches are eighteen months away.

This is a terrible question.
Capello played his best starting XI for a qualifying match - a match that counts for something. They played like crap. End of story.
Bradley heavily experimented in BOTH games - friendly games - using different formations on both occasions, also capping new players for the US.
