Who needs to switch???
I'm dual booting (Bootcamp) Mac OS-X and Windows XP pro.... and loving it!!!
That is the way life is supposed to be... full of the choice of making no choice.
And for all those Mac users that think Macs don't crash... think again...
They crash... just differently...
Power users that actually have their Macs do stuff other then picture books and music find this out day one.

I am running Windows XP Pro, Mac OS X, and Linux and support Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, and Linux users (friends and relatives). If I had to go with only 1, It would be Mac OS X. The major drawback is the hardware price.
Made the switch in October 2007 - took my Windows files and my Logitech trackball with me. Way cool. I fought this for years - it is good to come into the light (or the dark side, as the case may be).
I switched in 2005 and have not looked back! Love it. Biggest hurdle was unlearning. By that I mean, in the windows world it is 'intuitive' that things must be harder than they actually are in Mac OS X. Over and over I'd find myself saying 'sheesh, it CAN'T be that simple...' - I just felt chagrin that I'd resisted switching for so long!
Why do people think MAC are the best thing? We have MACS for are video editing purpose and we use Final Cut Pro and its ok but it is not like WOW Belive me when working on editing projects the MAC has frozen up before!! another thing I don't like about them is that they hold all kinds of junk, MACS are ok but I would rather spend money on a Vista rathther that a MAC why because buying a 1000+ dollar Vista is way more cost efficent than a 1000 Dollar MAC...
One thing that three divorces taught me is that "Knowing When To Quit Is Important". Another is that "It Only LOOKS Like It Would Be Perfect". I have a Dell Optiplex 330 with Windows XP and I can say I'm quite happy with what I have and haven't even thought about switching to something else. Which is not something I ever said during three marriages.
I have used Mac OSes 6, 7, 8, 9 and X and Windows 3.1, 98, ME, 2000, and XP.
There isn't a contest for choice of personal machine: Mac everytime, even my five kids agree with me on this score. Run XP under boot camp for updating Nokia phone, but no longer need that as I have now UPGRADED to an iPhone.
BTW, you don't use CTRL+A on Mac, for that you have CMD+A to select all, CMD+C for copy, CMD+X for cut and CMD+V for paste CMD+Z for undo and so on -- simple really (where do you think the "Windows" key on your keyboard came from? The Apple key, of course).
Ubuntu Linux is a good alternative to either and can be downloaded free. You can have both Ubuntu and Windows on the same machine and break away from the corporate sheep.
