I'm with Joy (#18) on this one. I can't wait for I Wish You Well. I wanna hear Mariah sing the hell out of a song again. Mariah's voice + just a piano = perfection. Does anyone remember Vanishing or The Wind? I hope it's something like that. Other than that I'm just excited about the whole album. It's gonna be great and I'm dying to hear it.

Cannot wait for I WISH YOU WELL. Love hearing Mariah sing about God and her faith. I totally loved Fly Like A Bird. And like Joy (#18) said, these are true Mariah songs. Other than that, i'm a billion percent positive that E=MC² is going to be one of the hottest instant classics of all time.

That Chick was AMAZING, such a great song. I'm excited about Lovin You Long Time , ByeBye and other tracks too, i might enjoy most of the songs on the album.

As regard to I'm that chick, I really love the flow of the song: it's natural, it's smooth, it's gentle, it's simple, it's sophisticated, giving the song a very romatic 90's flavor on it. The title is catchy and sexy, a very genius way to attract people's attention. Most importantly I really love the lirics, it's urban, it's not heavy on the words and theme of love. Rather it keeps people fantasising, it's simplistic yet romatically elegant, with a part saying "I'm that chick you like", simply melting down people's hearts. Plus the flow of song works fantastically with every part of the song, especially the bridge at which point Mariah seems to be getting serious about her vocal, and start blowing, really a genius song arrangement! It's a genius song that has the great potential of becoming Mariah's next #1 hit!

Who cares about the crappy Grammy's for the past ten years they have been giving those away to less talented artist, and messing over Mariah... Mariah is the second most nominated female artist right behind Aretha, but Aretha has 33 of her 38, while Mariah has only 5 of her 36. Total BS! So lambs we don't need to worry or think about the Grammy's its a lost cause.... I would love to hear more belting in each song that hasn't been released yet. Don't you notice Mariah tends to belt only when it's close to the end while the other parts of the song is quite static and not dramatic enough? Love story can be interesting but too much twisting of flow isn't a good thing because it limits the space for the powerful vocals of Mariah.

While people would take Emancipation of Mimi is all about EMANCIPATION + HEAVY VOCALS SHOW-OFF , E=MC2 is = REINVENTION + LIGHT DIVERSITY Most of the songs in the album have embraced a more urban style which makes Mariah's singing more refreshing and impressively different. I heard the snippets of her new songs and I'm kinda disappointed. I'm a big Mariah fan but I'm not going praise everything song she has. Most of the songs sound like generic radio-friendly pop songs from an up and coming artist. She over-uses the whole bone thugs "sing/rap" and I can't stand her speaking incorrectly. "Love wasn't on THEY side"?? You are a grown woman Mariah. Her songs lack emotion and rawness. The only song I'm excited about is Lovin You Long Time. It reminds me of Stay the Night, which is that updated old-school classic sound.

Just heard "Bye Bye" (full version) on T4 and this is going to be huge. Initially, I confess had my doubts. But this song is brilliant and Mariah I think for the first time is keeping her voice under control (which ironically is brilliant) and which lends so much emotion to the song. I can't wait for "Side Effects" (favourite out of the fourteen 30 second song previews). Young Jeezy and Mariah!!! Hope they do release it as the third or fourth single.

I have got to say something about bye bye - It's a bit too long I guess. Instead of 4 min it could take only 3 min. And I also don't like the bridge when Mariah hit the high note BYE~~ but didn't maintain it and quickly switch to another verse. In fact that switching is spoiling the whole high note BYE~. That chick, migrate and cruise control are excellent club songs. But I thought Mariah could have more belting in That chick to give the song more powerful vocals. I got the whole album and it rocks... much much stronger than Emancipation Of Mimi. There are so many potential smash hit singles to choose from, it’s crazy. Best album since Butterfly. Very catchy. The big surprise: I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time... reminds me of Beyonce’s Crazy In Love (and would to well on radio). Also much less ballads (six). And even them have a beat! Side Effect is very heavy on revealing lyrics. I just LOVE all those songs, very young record, very 2008. THE VOICE IS BACK.

I have never heard a Mariah Carey song like "Side Effects". It's possibly the best song she's ever done. It's so good that it's almost unbelievable. She should work with Scott Storch again. And "Loving You Long Time" is so joyful and efferevescent. Those are my two favourite tracks from the album. The album is definitely my fav MC album of all time.

Cannot wait to buy the album monday its now friday, I have heard the album and I really have to say "Side effects" is something I cannot get out of my head, MC or any of her crew if you see this, that track has has has to be a single, lyrics are so powerful and the tune itself is memorizing, its truly in my opinion going to be one of her landmark songs, the world has to hear it so release it! Overall im so so impressed with the album i instantly fell in love with all the tracks on the first listen, which is difficult with any album. Mariah seriously cannot wait to get it monday.

I'd gone to the city in Sydney planning to get the album but found out that the deluxe edition is not yet released in Australia! From the information I got in MariahDaily, the deluxe edition should have come up in 12th April. And the shop just told me the album will only be out on 19th. I was too angry and frustrated!!! Now I've already made up my mind not to buy the album because I can already download the whole album in a china website, f*ck! It's not my fault but the company's fault to release it so late. All my excitation and passion have burnt out completely!!!

I think everyone voted for bye bye and migrate the most cuz that was the only songs they had heard before the album released...after everyone has had a chance to really listen to the songs, I'm certain that "Love Story" and "Thanx for Nothin" would have way more votes.

Mariah should release Cruise Control on Tuesday May 20, to coincide with the Memorial Day Weekend. This track is definitely a summertime hit, and could become a seasonally type perrennial such as All I want for Christmas is you.

it's all mariah this week in the Philippines as well! american idol appearance, the album release...i can't get enough of her still. :-) E=MC2 is one of her best CDs ever. i'm saying this as a fan for almost 18 years. not as powerful as her earlier CDs but it's the most enjoyable to listen to. every song in the CD is single-worthy. my favorites include BYE BYE, THANX 4 NOTHING, CRUISE CONTROL, OOC, SIDE EFFECTS AND MIGRATE. I WISH YOU WELL goes out to all the MC haters out there! :-)

Side Effects is too cool, you won't realize it's an agonizing song because of its upbeat melody. This would be a good new taste of Mariah's music along with Cruise Control which can be a good summer theme song for summer 2008. These songs should be a single after Bye Bye. There are a log of single-worthy songs in E=MC2. Thanx 4 Nothin' is a hot ballad as well. Migrate and I'll Be Loving U Long Time will also do good on the charts when released. This album is really worth the wait. Definitely a #1 album of the year...

I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said already. This E=MC² is a smash! In fact, really, the only song on this disc I am not really feeling is track 14, "I Wish You Well." Every other single, in my opinion, could easily soar into the top 10. I haven't found an entire album this listenable since "Future Sex..." My favorite tracks are "Migrate," (which I hope is released as a follow-up to "Bye Bye") "Cruise Control," (which I hope also gets released *very* soon) and "I Stay In Love." I am actually surprised that more people arent talking about "I stay in love". That is an incredibly beautiful song. So emotional. If you ever break up with someone that you really care about that song will bring you to total and full tears. Especially her sorrowful vocals in the end when she is practically crying out for that man that she is still in love with even though he is no longer a part of her life. Terrific tune!!

Hmm the Bye Bye video is just garbage and won't help the song on the charts. I think it was a mistake to release this song so soon. The second single was supposed to emulate the success of We Belong Together, but has come nowhere near. Mariah's gotta release either: I'm That Chick, I Stay In Love or Cruise Control next, and coupled with a decent video, to boost album sales or it's gonna stall. PS Marrying Nick Cannon within a couple months of dating...even though I want Mariah to be happy, sooo gonna end badly.

i love mariah. i've been a fan since 'vision of love'. my most favorite songs from e=mc2 include migrate, love story, i stay in love, o.o.c and i wish you well. all tracks are potential hits. and just like other lambs, i ended up purchasing two copies of the album. oh, and as i was looking for hidden/bonus tracks (japanese edition), i enjoyed them especially 'heat'. it was a fun song. mariah tells a girl "what makes you think you're fly enough to take my man, huh?" ^_^ 4real4real is great too! it makes me smile! :) p.s. cruise control is great as a summer anthem! she sounds cute doing the jamaican patois! :)
