Well, personally I'm against child Porno. It's nasty. In her case, she istrying to be an adult. She wants the world to see as an adult, so the hungry wolf known as the media take advantage of that. If she wanted to be treated like a minor then act like one and stop exposing yourself. When you put youreself out there like that you should be prepares to reap what you sow. I'm not saying the media is blameless in this, but the majority of the responsibility lies on her shoulder.

Considering, couple years ago we would never have even condsiderd the thought of a child being allowed to dress like that we know openly invite kids to sell themselfs for profit its called prostitution and the end of inocense

What a bunch of hypiocrites------Do I detect a hint of jealousy here. Young, vibrant, good looking. What happened to the rest of you ladies. Most of you have too many frown lines. Don't forget to vote for Sarah. Whoops----didn't her daughter have a bastard child? You have a long way to go to top that Miley----keep on keeping on.

Reuters should be sued till they go out of business due to repeated news fraud both from the Lebanon war
and their recent faked photo using photo editing cropping technique to falsify news events.

Why is it tollerated. If I had a subscription I would cancel it if only to send a message that behavior will never be tolerable. The public should want blood. No one wants to read lies in the news they can not trust anymore and as we see now the truth comes out despite attempts by evil corrupt people to stop it.
As for Miley Cyrus's picture the Press should always try to show the positive side of things when possible. Only if wrong doing is clearly apparent should such a picture be shown in a publication.
Reuters should be put out of business. I hope they loss at least 75% of their subscribers. They suck! They are liars I will never ever believe again!

Disney in her opinion has taken her as far as it could; now she wants the ulgier side of fame instead of the respectable side. her parents are backwood and she see this low brow porn as decent, so its time to remove her from Disney Channel and her parents have placed her on the path of Brittany Spears and Lindsy Lohan before she can even vote.
Their are other Disney formers that don't seem to mind having a good reputation and whom's careers are taking off without the pre-adult soft pron; ie: Tia and Tamera Mowry, Christina Aguilera,Hillary Duff, Haily Duff, Danielle Panabaker, kay Panabaker and many others. Don't sell having a good image short

Hey, the question that was asked is, "Was Reuters right in offering this photo of Miley Cyrus for sale?) Opinions are like belly buttons, everybody has one. Basically the law says they were not right in selling this photo of a minor. I have my own opinion of Miley, her Dear Old Dad and her outfit; thats not the issue.

Why is everyone so judgemental about the poor girl? Did I miss something and has the Taliban taken over here? Last time I checked, it was 2010 and women were free to wear whatever they like. This disgraceful talk that a female who doesn't wear neck to knee flowing garb is somehow something less than a good person is appalling. The whole lot of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I don't care if she's 30 or 3, it matters not one bit what she wears. She deserves respect as a human being and the debate about a woman somehow 'deserving' to be treated in such an atrocious manner is something out of the dark ages. It's a small leap to say that she 'deserves' to be raped for what she wears. Such attitudes are NOT ON!

Wake up everyone. This is a person here. Mistakes happen and no one deserves to be humiliated no matter what they wear or do, no matter where they are when it happens. She came on stage not intending to expose anything. So let her be.

  • Get off the high horse - 14 years ago

No one put a gun to her head and made her wear that. Want to act/dress like an adult, then you take the same results when you flaunt it out in public like an adult. Dont blame the media, blame the parents of this minor.

  • Rick - 14 years ago

I don't understand, 18 is just an arbitrary age, she looks and acts like an adult already. You don't automatically become an adult when you turn 18 at midnight or something. She is at a public event, not some back alley, for one thing, the people in charge of her wardrobe obviously know what they are doing, and that they were not going to get in trouble for it.

  • dazinger - 14 years ago

this has little to do w/ reuters. this was a picture taken while she was on stage - performing @ her profession - as opposed to an up-skirt pic taken by paparazzi as she was getting out of her car on a random nite out. sure, reuters could have pulled the pic, but that's not how wires work. once they're on the wire, they are fair game. the real question we should be asking is who's approving this wardrobe-malfunction-prone wardrobe for this minor? i find that person more culpable than reuters.

  • underwhelmed - 14 years ago

The ribbon really spices up the picture. Sort of adds a little titillation (no Pun intended). But in actuality there was nothing revealing about the original picture, just skin, not even a hint of private parts. Truly a case of nothing to see here! Interesting though how when you cover the alleged reveal with ribbon people’s imaginations run wild.

  • Marge Truocchio - 14 years ago

Apparently this is the image she wants to project -- a 17-year-old slut. She had to know she would be photographed that way. And where are her parents anyway.

  • Cassandra - 14 years ago

I don't care how mature she think she is getting to be I have yet to find anyone over the age of 13 who likes Miley. So dressing like this and acting like a hoochie is going to ensure that her career is over. My young daughters LOVE Hannah and I let them listen to some of Miley's music but not anymore. It's sick and sad that ANYONE feels they have to act like this in order to get attention (and money). All that aside she is a minor, no matter how she acts, and pictures such as this should not be legal.

  • Gary Lucas - 14 years ago

That pic don`t look like Miley Cirus to me . Miley`s alot taller and slimmer cheak lines ....sorry but that pic not Miley

  • jim - 14 years ago

Um, hello to all you parents out there who have little girls, I know it's all about the $$$, but sexy does not mean indecent, she wore that out fit, where you can see this minors shaved hoochie and enough cleavage to get lost in.
WAY TO GO DAD. Didn't she do a photo shoot where she was basically laying on her father's privates, like she was something other than a daughter to him. Don't people get paid to edit these things and /or offer opinions about them.

    YOUNG PARIs HILTONS,
Is there a sex vid out yet? Oh yea she a minor, maybe next year.

  • Bob R. - 14 years ago

So now Reporters and Journalist can now profit from the exploitation of Minors without any recourse? It does not matter what the minor is doing or why, the fact that BIG MEDIA can profit from the exploitation of children is the story here and they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  • tony baggins - 14 years ago

Her Daddy has been pimping her for years. Mostly so he could tag along and drag his so so career. She presents herself the way she wants to be seen.

  • Sally - 14 years ago

What she is trying to be Madonna, rememberMadonna started out good then she also turned nasty. Sick Sick Sick

"WHAT THE HECK HAPPENING TO PEOPLE'S MORALS??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • CJ - 14 years ago

Regardless of her age, Miley is certainly performing as if she were anything other than a minor. Her intention is to be mature, so treat her as such. Likewise, if her "flashing" violates any laws against indecent exposure, she needs to be prosecuted as an adult too!

  • Smash - 14 years ago

I'm on the fence because she's in such a dang hurry to grow up and when you play with fire you're gonna get burned. If you wear clothes that barely cover your body and dance around in front of an audience you know you run the risk of a wardrobe malfunction. Being a celebrity you know people are out there to capture EVERY move you make. I think she knew better but doesn't care. Where in the heck are her parents when she's choosing her stage outfits? They're the ones that should be criticized. I'm sorry to say this but, she dresses like a slut. I don't care if this is the "real world" and that's just how teenagers dress these days. That's a bunch of bull. Not all teens dress like that. Besides, even if they did it's still not a reason to dress like a slut. Parents, parent your children! Don't blame it all on society when they screw up. Do your job.

  • ColJohn - 14 years ago

She is a slut and deserves to be treated like one.

  • Alan - 14 years ago

Reuters debated it, sent it to some clients, but not all, and avoided sending it to sensitive areas (what ever that is). They obvioulsy knew there was moral decision to make...and they made the wrong choice.

  • aka - 14 years ago

A minor is a minor. the best question now to ask is "WHAT THE HECK HAPPENING TO PEOPLE'S MORALS??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • Jim - 14 years ago

A minor is a minor. Posting the picture in question is only a way to lure in people to generate profit. It's also changing the intent of the captured image. She had an unintended wardrobe malfunction. Reuters made it porn.

  • Sariah Thomas - 14 years ago

ok first off yes the pictures are gross and disgusting they shouldn't have been sold she is a minor that's just plain out wrong, and second so what she dresses a little more sexy she is getting older. It's called growing up. She never said she was perfect and she never once told little seven year old girls to dress like that. She has matured and blossomed into what she is now, I think it's a shame that kids that sign on with disney or nickelodian no matter how old they get are always criticized for being too sexy, this is the real world and in the real world people don't hold on to wholesome images forever. People just need to let her be and stop acting like she's the only person ruining the image and morals of society, last time i checked there are far worse off people to worry about than Miley Cyrus.

  • dave - 14 years ago

The only thing more disgusting than the publishing of the picture is the attire and conduct of this girl which degrades the morals of our whole society. If the publishing of the picture will dissuade her and others from this type of conduct, post away...

  • Jack - 14 years ago

geesh what next? Hannah Does Montana?

what a disgrace and only 17

  • REV. JIMMY JEATERS - 14 years ago

Nothing wrong showing off her assets. next will be the drug arrests. Isn't hollywood just great.Anything for your 5 min. of fame

  • Beverly - 14 years ago

I agree. Even if she was an adult, I'm sure there were other pictures that wouldn't have been as revealing. Being a minor, it is even more degrading. An ordinary person posting a picture like that would be subject to charges or at least an investigation.

  • Jessica Boyd - 14 years ago

Candid pictures of adults that show nudity and are taken without consent are slimy at best. She is a minor. This is repulsive. Another example of the moral decline of the media.
