just thought i would put this out there. i am in judo in BC Canada and are choke rule is 15 and arm bars 17. the most valuable answer i was able to get from this is for chokes many kids at younger ages adams apple is not yet developed enough to see so in that case its prone to injury much more easily. For arm bars it is that the bones are not fully developed and usually still pretty soft with means they bend more and kids do not want to tap because it actually dosent hurt. this meaning that the next day the do feel it and it does really hurt. your thoughts email me
