If I saw a male wearing the black T-shirt, I would be a bit wary of him, because the lettering is very bold and scary-looking until I had the nerve to tell him to turn around so I could read the back of the shirt. I like the design of #4 and the purple would be okay for female wearers. I think a very confident-in-his-masculinity male would wear the purple, but given a drawerful of T's in the other colors, he'd keep moving the purple one to the bottom of the drawer to wear the others until all the rest were in the wash.
