I held off and bought the 64gb 3G because I have several friends who do not have internet access because they live in rural areas. (dial-up to slow and satellite to expensive) I wanted to show them that with this device they can 'have it all'. I spent an hour with the iPad at best buy, but I think I knew within 5 minutes I was going to buy one of these. So natural, so smooth, so responsive! This is my first Apple product, and I own several PC's. so I put alot of thought into this purchase

I bought the the 16gig IPad Wifi and love it. At first I was concerned about how quickly it would eat up storage with photos and videos but I quickly realized that the IPAD optimizes the photos and reduces their file size for optimal IPAD viewing. This make 16gigs go ALOT further than expected ( I have thousands of photos on it and theres still room for plenty more).
Music eats up memory. I do not keep much music on this devise but carry my Iphone with my music playlist anyhow. If I want to listen to music on the ipad I use Pandora Radio.
The devise is amazing and I love it more and more everyday. As a side note, I have a Verizone Mifi Card which allows my Ipad to connect directly to the internet via wireless connectivity. In my mind, if you have a similar type wireless internet card, there is no need for the 3g model and another $20/month from ATT.
It seems as though those with enough money to get a wifi only iPad stuck with the cheapest... but those with enough to blow on a 3G model went all out. Interesting.
