I agree. However, I've found that most people I meet find the law to be fine with them--the local online newspaper ran an article that posted about 30 responses, mostly in support of the law. It's scary to see the average person to the right of FOX News on this issue!

While it is fair to expect everyone to carry legal ID, the use of racial profiling or asking local law enforcement to use their judgment to determine who to ask, is unfair to citizens and law enforcement. Even Fox News commentators believe that the new Arizona law will be ruled unconstitutional . This country needs real immigration reform to end sham of our current policy. Why not have a documented guest worker program? After all, most undocumented workers do not want to live here, they want to work here and return to their native countries. The real criminals are the businesses that hire them because they do not want to pay payroll taxes or a living wage.
