I thought I already paid too much for tuition. Why are we going to let the same type of parasitic institutions (unions) that almost killed the automotive industry infect our education system? When will this moron of a president realize the kind of change he was elected for needs to happen instead of letting union corruption influence all of his political decisions? Very disappointed.

Give me a break. TAs don't need a union. I've been a member of two unions in my life - the only benefit I ever saw was the one the union bosses received. In reality, TAs have a fairly sweet deal. Most TAs have their tuition waived, get medical coverage for free or at very reduced rates, and get a stipend to boot. All for "20" hours of weekly work. Sure, some work more, but a lot work less. Unionizing TAs - what a waste of time, energy, and ultimately money. Get real.

Unionizing isn't something you get permissiion for. Organizing and standing up for your needs is always a choice. A much better question would be; Should government have attemt to stop grad students from unionizing?
