What I'd like to know is how they can tell that cons have not replied in early census returns as stated in the article? There is nothing on the form that denotes political affiliation, so how can they tell how many liberals and cons have sent their forms in?

I have a different take on it. Don't fill it out at all. By not fill it out the government will have to send out a census worker to do the job of gathering the data. Sure it will cost more money, but more importantly it will delay the Democrats gerrymandering efforts in redistricting congressional districts. Why else do you think that Obama tried to get control of it???
To me it is a necessity that the Democrats are removed from power. We must get a veto proof majority. I don't know if that can be done entirely without Ted Kennedy style elimination, but I know we stand a better chance if the Democrats have less accurate and missing data from the census. This is war after all! If America is going to survive as a constitutional republic we have to fight to win.

You people are stupid all the govenment should be doing is counting not all the other bullsh*t, this is not a racest country but the democrats are dividing us as they did during the slave years and the 1920's to the 60's untill the civil rights days changed that! read your history and the constitution then you will know the truth not what some person thinks, we need to as a country know are history so we wont repeat it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I filled in the number of people living at this address. The only other "informative" answer I gave was "human" for race, since I reject the concept and wanted to make that point. For the others, I answered "NR", which I explained as "Not Required to perform the enumeration authoized by the U.S. Constitution. None of these questions, including age and sex, are relevant to congressional representation.
I agree, though, that not responding is counterproductive, not only for congressional representation, but for the electoral college apportionment.

On my census, I put how many people in the house hold. Put man and women for names. I put American for my Race. That is all I filled out. The rest is none of thier business. Now let them come to my door for more specifics and I will tell them I am the dog sitter and tell them people that live here are on vacation and If they ask me if I know the answers to the unanswered questions I will tell them I am not in position to answer those questions. Thats my story an I am sticking to it. :O)

I am a statistician for the US Government, and have worked the census in the past. If you do not fill out the ethnicity part of the questionnaire, the data will be imputed for you. This allows the government to essentially determine what race you are. Is that something you really want!? Please, fill out the entire form.

Come on folks, who even checks to see if the race/ethnicity is accurate? No one, that's who. What does a person like my granddaughter choose? She is part irish, german, mexican, spaniard, african. Choose all that apply?

Fill out the census form so you a properly represented
