New Orleans is physically the most beautiful City in the US and we its people have a unique culture and each thing is intertwined. No one is going to stop making red beans or po'boys, but we have stopped preserving buildings by allowing any one with a front-end loader and dump truck to enter into the home demolishing business. Old New Orleanians know that Carrollton Wrecking and Ricca Demolishing built large prosperous businesses by disassembling buildings and selling its components (now called "de-construction"); those companies actually paid building owners and competed in prices to disassemble buildings. Preservation is why we live here and preservation is why people visit here--no one comes to see Veterans Hwy. The City needs laws of how buildings can be demolished without crushing parts that can no longer be found; the materials in old buildings either do not exist or the trees that gave us the wood no longer grow.

International investment is primary, creating jobs across the board. However with such investments educated
and skilled workers are needed. While development takes place individuals outside of New Orleans will fill many of the jobs. During this period it is hoped that the educational level of the population would rise to a functional level.
