I can't take this anymore. Is it done yet?

Nick

Definitely - Mexican Beef should be a regular. Why isn't it?

Jon

Yeah, for gods sake, please make Mexican Beef part of the regular menu!

I will fight anybody who claims that Mexican Beef is not the supreme hummus topping!

Even vegetarians love it.

Make it a menu regular now or feel my wrath.

Whadda we want? MEXICAN BEEF! When do we want it? ALL THE TIME PLEASE! C'mon you mothers, why isn't this a regular menu item. From a purely financial standpoint, you could triple your turnover by making this available all the time.....(probably).

Tom
2008-07-02 07:33:04 ET

Yeah, what Tony says. Tell you what - I'll pay 10p more if that Mexican beef makes it on the menu.

btw - I like the AntiSpam nr... It's got a magic effect..

MEXICAN BEEF - WHEN DO WE WANT IT.. NOW !!!! (And the ASIAN PORK)

Mexican Beef is disgusting. Asian BBQ pork is the mutt's nuts (hopefully not literally). Ignore all these fools above and never produce MB again. Instead make all options ABBQP.

Tom
2008-07-02 07:56:16 ET

Can we please take Stuart off this comment page - he's obviously NOT helping.

In fact, I'd give up Asian Pork from making it to the regular menu if Mexican beef made it on it. So there - With pain in my heart (well belly) I reverse my request for all sorts of concoctions (no matter how s*** they taste) to make it to the regular menu, apart from the Asian Pork.

Tom

Mexican beef. MMmmmmm, I'm loving it.

Make Mexican Beef a regular to make a beef eater a more regular customer!

Tom
2008-07-17 07:03:58 ET

come on man. This has got to happen. Public sector has gone on strike as they want to see things happen. I'm going to go the same route and start spreading the news to block bying anything until the favourites hit the standard menu. I think that's fair. Coming to think of it, we could start a Hummus Bros Union in order to get what we want. With kind regards. TP.

Tom

And can we please have a calorie breakdown of the individual meals please.
I've been trying to bike the meals off and I'm just turning into a blob with 2 little eyes basically. If that could be done, that'd be very much appreciated and I could appropriately order the small or regular portion.

Stuart is clearly a halfwit. Asian barbequed pork should be banned under the trade descriptions act. It is clearly neither Asian nor barbequed. Badly cooked pork in sickly sweet sauce would be a better name for it. There are 231 chinese restaurants within a 1 mile radius of your Wardour Street branch, any of which can supply char sui of a higher quality. How many of them serve it with hummus? None. And do you know why? Because millenia of advanced culinary experimentation has proved that pork goes with rice not hummus! It can also be enjoyed with noodles, potatoes, or even bread.
Mexican Beef however is an honest to goodness classic, worshipped by ancient civilisations for its healing powers and aphrodesiac properties.

I agree with Asian Porksword. Mexican Beef is a stone classic!

And Stuart is indeed clearly a halfwit. I suspect he may, in fact, be a professional sabateur employed by your competitors in the world of chickpea based delectables. Beware, he may be aiming to destabilise your business by falsely encouraging you to persist with possibly the worst humus combo known to man.

Either that or his tastebuds have been irreparably damaged from sucking on donkey ass.

Why have this poll if you won't listen to the people? Make Mexican Beef a menu regular or prepare to face the consequences.

I doubt a halfwit would be able to spell aphrodisiac. Oh wait, it appears Asian Dickhead is unable to spell aphrodisiac... As for Jose Cocksucker, I think you Mexican Beef eaters are not only sucking donkey ass but relishing it and swallowing too! What d'you think they put in it, idiots?

(All in good humour of course!)

Stuart enough of that bad language and racism!

Mr Porksword, I feel I have to apologise for my son’s abusive behaviour. As you can probably guess Stuart is an inadequate human being, with few friends and appalling personal hygiene. His habit of pointing out spelling mistakes in other people’s written work while, at the same time, having a particularly poor grasp of grammar and an absence of humour, alienated him to other children at school and he’s never really recovered.

As Jose inadvertently suggests, Stuart’s only friend growing up was Hunglaika, the much loved family donkey. In a way I blame myself for the bizarre practise that the boy took up and it did indeed lead to severe damage of his tastebuds. I think he got the idea when he saw me and Hunglaika filming one of our hugely popular videos in the mid-eighties, I just hope he gets as much pleasure from it as I did.

Stuart, don't forget you've got an appointment at the clinic, x

Is it correct then that there's a bit of interest in Asian Donkey style hummus as a topping? We'll obviously have to do various tests to see what part of Hunglaika we're going to use. Maybe Stuart's mom's or Mr PorkSword has already tasted quite a bit, and can potentially save us some time with the testing. Tell you what, instead of the breads, well'll do honey roasted donkey ears as well. When crunchy enough they'll make for great scoops. Leave it with us, and we'll inform you via our lottery mail when you can collect your free HungLaika Donkey session.

oh - and we've just found something on Hunglaika that's going to make a great replacement for our falafel balls....

Clearly Mexican Beef is the favourite on the leader board so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make it a permanent dish on the menu.

Hi,
A lot of comments on your website about Asian BBQ Pork and Mexican Beef and how many people really like them. My gripe is that Moroccan Meatballs has 4% of your votes yet it’s pretty much all I see on the specials menu when I fancy an HB. Could you tell me when the Asian BBQ Pork is on the specials menu so I can co-ordinate when I go to your establishment because continuously looking on your website and seeing bloomin Moroccan Meatballs is getting me down. Or can you make them a menu choice.

Thanks,

2008-12-09 05:24:17 ET

Look guys - it's credit crunch and mince meat is the cheapest/nastiest (yet remarkably tasty at times) meat (well, we're not sure what's gone in it, but let's say it is), so Moroccan meatballs are here to stay. It's tough times for all, so stuff ya.

Hello Everyone,

I've added some newer specials the poll and reset the results to lower the playing field. Also, if you want to contact us, please use the form at hbros.co.uk/contact (as we don't check the comment section here very often). -Ryan

Just putting my $0.02 in by saying i love the rogan josh. I can understand it not being a regular, but could we have it more often in the specials?

Lamb and Fresh Vegetables are the best toppings. Who cares about Mexican beef? I'm from Mexico, I rather go for the Lamb or the mushroom or the vegetable topping.

Why dont you ever have mexican Chili! Seriously, I check the specials everyday and never come, cause there is never Mexican Chilli. What is the point in having a poll if you never act on it!

Sima
2009-11-05 11:36:47 ET

LOVE LOVE LOVE the mexican beef! can you please have it more regularly on your specials list or as most people have said - make it a standard daily option. thanks :)

2009-11-23 15:56:17 ET

Every time before I decide to make my way to Hummus Bros, I check their website for the special of the day, 'our food'.

If it is Mexican Beef, I usually come. Otherwise I often don't. So yes, make it part of the normal menu.

Apart from that, I was surprised by how my taste is sooo mediocre: my favourites in order:
-mexican beef
-falafel salad
-lamb rogan josh

Which is EXACTLY the same order as how the top3 votes stand at the moment. Makes me wonder...
