the New York Jets have hit the jackpot if they are seeking quality and an immensly talented team player. LT was the heart soul and spirit of the Chargers and almost everything that was great about them will now suit up in green instead of San Diego Blue and Gold. We will miss him terribly, not only for his awesome skill on the field, where he still has years of ability before him, but in the locker room as a mentor and inspiration and especially in the community. His efforts in San Diego, whether it was handing out thousands of turkeys each year to needy families or encouraging youths by giving his time, money and love, will be desperatly missed. The fact that we did not choose to keep him here until He was ready to retire makes me ill. It will be so difficult to see him in any other uniform, but because my son played at USC and Sanchez is a Jet, and other players on your team are so likeable, maybe I won't cry my eyes out every time I see highlights of him scoring for somebody else. Perhaps I'll secretly pull for the Jets to win a ring so he finally has what he's worked his butt off and sacrificed so dearly for- a Super Bowl victory. So until San Diego shows me they reallly want to win, I guess I'll have to be a Jet fan. God bless you, LT. Go J-E-T-S!

Not a team player? Are you serious? LT is the persona of a team player! His character as a player is by far one of the most humblest of any player within the league. If the jets felt like he was "over the hill" like you say than why would they see the potential to sign him? I feel that as far as the jets fans are concerned they have just elevated their franchise one step closer to reaching that goal. Being a Chargers fan! myself its sad to see him go but I know that the jets see that potential that a lot of chargers fan still see in LT he still has that juice just like lorenzo said and does open up a new area for the jets to exploit the short dumpoff passes and he brings a whole lot of energy and respect with him.
