Was Howard Stern out of line with his comments on Gabby Sidibe?

What is the Truth? Is all of that weight healthy or unhealthy for my young sister. Will color and size conscious Hollywood change their standards to embrace this wonderful, bright and gifted young lady? and Finally, is Oprah really being a honest friend to her? I bet you Dr. Oz would tell her the truth, but in a loving way. Not the way that idiot Howard has done.
    This is just my opinion.

Haters! So she is fat. So what. She can act. That's all that matters. Those who can do. Those who can't sit around and talk shit about those who do! Just mad that they can't. She has already received several offers. I can't wait to see her really take off so she can turn and slap that big fat ass right in Howard Sterns ugly ass face. Please...people who look like that need never talk about ANYONE!

I personally think Howard took a cheap shot at this woman. Why not address that there are just too few roles for African American women period. No matter what size- there is just very little out there being offered. Oprah did pretty well for herself after being nominated for Color Purple despite being a large (at that time) woman. And has Halle Berry's career taken off after the win for Monster's Ball even though she is considered one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood? The glass ceiling is still there for African American women in Hollywood. Cheap shots are easy to make but to engage in real- thoughtful dialogue is much harder. And shame on Robin for not calling Howard on this. Of course both of them have had such a successful film careers they have room to talk.

Howard is spot on with his comments. He's usually right in his assessment of Hollywood/media. He warned Conan about Jay back in 2006 that Jay wouldn't give up the Tonight Show position. She should lose weight and ASAP. Besides, the only role she is going to be up for in the future is the fat loudmouthed tons of fun black female character that's become a cliche (usually play a bossy nurse or some other no nonsense character).

I am sorry, but Gabby is just not 'pleasing' to look at. She is sooo overweight to be so young -- her heart and blood pressure cannot be in good shape. And to make it worse, I truly felt embarrassment for her when she said that after the oscars, she was going to hit Chic-Fil-a HARD. Yes, she played a great role, but physically, she is simply too big to be so young. Her arms looked like an eagle in flight, and it was embarrassing to see. I like the fact that she is as young as she is to have been a part of such a great movie, but on the other hand, she is the epitome of all that a young woman shouldn't be -- overweight -- leads to an early death in many cases. If Oprah was a true friend, as much as she speaks of health issues, she should help this young girl get on a diet and lose a lot of weight.
