I think the app can provide a nice beginning. The challenge will be to keep predators and non qualified groups or people off. There also might be some restrictions that the SEC has in regards to soliciting investors for companies.
But, most important will be the scrubbing before allowing any potential funding groups on the site.
Disclaimers are great, but if a flood of con artists appear, that will be an app killer, and a black eye to Facebook.
