I understand the people who are opposed to grown men wearing sports jersey and these people are the ones with serious problems. These people suck the joy out of life. Here is the truth about these people. They like sports and they like the jerseys. They want to wear the jerseys but when they do the feel self conscious because people might be looking at them. They are afraid someone might say something or make fun of them and possibly say something against their favorite team. So they don't wear the jerseys they want to wear and feel bad about the fact they can't and feel disgruntled towards those who can. They come down on people who are more secure than them, those who are not afraid to wear jerseys anywhere, anytime in public. So in response they make fun of the rest of us who happily and freely wear our jerseys. They put us down and make us look like we have the problems. They ridicule us and laugh at us. They do the very thing to us that they fear will happen to them if they wear a jersey. Simply put these people are all cowards and the people with the issues. I wouldn't want any of these kill joys as a friend.

To the rest of you all with some internal fortitude, wear your jerseys and enjoy!

You just have to stand for what you like and then there is no limit in how long you gotta wear your jersey.

Generally speaking, guys don't really care what other guys wear. That's more of a chick thing. To most guys, if it's comfortable and we like it, we wear it. End of story. As long as it's not obscene or morally offensive, wear whatever the hell you want. If someone has a problem with it, they can deal with it.

As long as it is game day, where the jersey. It true fan would have enough t-shirts, polo's, hats, etc. to cover every other day.

I'm fat, so I don't wear one, but wait . . . why are we fat people discriminated against so much? I thought how you looked wasn't important? And don't say I eat too much- I eat the same as my roomates, but over time have gained 10% more weight. I mean, its not like I speak with a southern accent. I should be allowed to wear a jersey.

Were some of you forbidden from wearing a jersey as a kid? Lighten up. Myself I don't wear one because I won't pay those ridiculous prices.

I have never looked at a man or a woman with a jersey and thought they had issues. They are just out having fun supporting their team.

Do you think people should stop wearing hats, T-Shirts, golf shirts with a team logo too?

I think it's nuts that you guys have some hang up about wearing " another mans name". Get over your insecurities and go support your teams.

I think its fine for anyone to wear a jersey to the game. Questionable to wear one at a bar when your team is playing, and no way should a grown men wear a jersey any other time.

What's all this crap about wearing another guys name on your back? who cares, you're supporting your team and possibly your favorite player, that's it. Stop trying to read to deeply into a subject that shouldn't be one. Wearing a jersey is showing support, not some deeper psychological meaning some people are portraying it as.

For a true Fanatic one is never to old to sport team colors! And there are jersey's without names on the back.

Jerseys are for kids. How is it OK for a grown man to wear another man's name on their back? Seriously?

If you weren't good enough to get a jersey of your own then no, you don't get to wear someone else's. As for golf, it's a decent argument, though not quite the same, even still the sport basically mandates that you wear that type of clothing. (both watching and playing) It's not like when you go to the local YMCA to play hoops they don't let you in unless you're wearing an Michael Jordon jersey.

And seriously, nascar pre-party? That's what we're using as the benchmark on this one?

So you can't wear anything b/c a sports guy wears it too? Well you better get all your Tiger Nike, Shark, Reebok, Adidas etc. products out of your house b/c you're a poser and want to be like anyone that endorses a product. What if you wear a College Jersey with no name and your classic number, or your favorite number? What then? The rules are there are no rules for wearing anything, or haven't you seen a Nascar preparty.

Seriously? Once you graduate from middle school there is no more wearing of sports jerseys. Here's the issue with wearing a jersey - you're putting another man's name on your back. What's the issue with that? It implies one of two things:

    1. You're in love with that man
    2. You wish you were that man

Both are major issues in my book. (not that there's really anything wrong with loving another man if that's your preference) What's wrong with a hat or a t-shirt? Are you really so infatuated that you need to play dress-up and wear the exact same thing that your favorite sports figure is wearing? Imagine in high school if every day you showed up to school and another kid was purposely dressing in the exact same outfit as you. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the fact that men in their 20's and 30's continue to do this. Frightening, just frightening.

wow...really, it is all subjective! Remember fashion 101, the man makes the clothes. Here are the jersey rules: 1.) skin tight is no, if your fat it is no. the exception for skin or snug fit is soccer and latino men. 2.) there are 2 acceptable styles normal, little snug in shoulders; the baggy pop hop.(hip-hop is so last millenium, pop and hip hop crossover reference. 3.) if you cant wear/or look good following those rules, then stop wearing jerseys. SO...IF YOU ARE FAT and your belly protrudes, STOP and lose weight or get a bigger jersey. if you are wearing a skin tight jersey and it is not a soccer/fu'tbol jersey then you need to come out of the closet.(and remember *not that there is anything wrong with that*)
