Thanks for the link to "The Giving Z," Raistlin--awesome poem!

Like all the other posters here, I feel that Z's commitment and dedication to the Cavs should have been honored. Now they've lost 2 games in a row after going on a 13-game winning streak! I have a sad feeling this will be just another continuation of the Cleveland curse...go Browns...go Tribe...go Cavs.

Z, we all love you and miss you dearly. No championship win will be acceptable without you! Hurry back to Cleveland and when you walk out on that floor again we will give you a standing ovation. We can't wait to see you back in a cavalier uniform again.!

I think it is totally wrong what they did to Z. Cleveland is still talking about Carlos Boozer leaving for Utah and how wron gthat was of him yet the CAVS had no problem scrapping Z. We'll see in 30 days if Z is back my feeling may change. This was a great CAVS team with Z. I say don't fix it if it isn't broke!

guys the cavs would not do this deal unless we would get Z back. He isnt going anywhere.. get ready for championship after championship, with Z being there experiencing it with his cavs.

The Cavs without Zydrunas (Big Z) is unfathomable! Everyone I talk to has a very heavy heart over the fact that he won't be in the line-up tonight. Yes the Cavs fans want a championship but one can't overlook 14 years through thick and thin!! Please bring Z back !!!!!

Big z is the cavs I hope 2 c him back in 3o days cuz I would hate 4 us 2 win a championship and not c him be apart of that he as been there 2 long.cleveland 4a life stand up......

I don't think anyone ESPECIALLY LeBron and Danny Ferry wanted him to leave. I'm sure the potential buyout and return were a big part of the discussion. The Cavs probably would not have traded him if they weren't confident that Z would be back after 30 days. He deserves that ring more than anyone on the team. For anyone who hasn't seen this on ESPN yet, here's a link to a great story about Z:

Z, life will nver be the same without you....please come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if you have time in the next 30days, come to The Corner in Barberton for a drink or two !!!!!!!!We all love you Z. The Cavs need you and so do the fans.

Z will come back, I'm confident of that. I think even Z understood that if we want a championship this year...we are NOT going to be able to just skate by with LeBron doing ALL the scoring in the playoffs like last year. He can't play the WHOLE game EVERY game...we absolutely needed someone like Jamison that can score from virtually any spot (including the outside of the 3 point arch) and is an overall powerful and aggressive player. Z is one of (if not the MOST) humble player in the NBA and he is a Cavalier at heart...I think even if another team offers him more money than we have available to offer him should he choose to return after 30 days...he will return to us because let's face it...deep down Z wants a championship just as bad as LeBron does...if not more...and there's no better team to give it a shot with than the Cavs.

I agree...the man has shown loyalty and played hard to get the Cavs where they are today.

But on the other hand...I think that Gilbert and his crew made a deal with Washington and "Z" will be back here...I want to think that Gilbert has a heart after all.

I miss Z...he IS Cleveland! My hope is that he is released by the Wizards and returns to Cleveland in 30 days...hopefully no other team will lure him away...he's just as popular with the Cavs fans as Lebron....come back home Z...a championship awaits C-town and it won't happen without you...all 7'3"...the team needs you...they just haven't figured it out yet...too worried about losing JJ Hickson. If you aren't back...I'm definitely done cheering for the Cavs! my new team will be wherever you end up...but for now....GO CAVS!

I totally agree with the post above! I love the Cavs..but its wrong what they are doing to him. He has said he wants to retire a Cav. The Cavs are going to be screwed at the end of this year..championship or not I see Lebron leaving them.. if they win the champ. he will go elsewhere for the $.
I don't understand why that want to upset a team that is playing so well together!

No championship is worth treating Z this way. He has been a loyal Cav for 12 years. We would not be where we are today without Z. If he is not back in 30 days than I am done with the Cavs. A championship without Z is no championship at all.
