People, Z will be coming back. Washington is in rebuilding mode, and they're not going to rebuild with a 34 year old center. And when he does come back, he's bound to get a massive standing ovation that will be well worth the month away. Z's not dumb--he's knows his 30 day absence is what is best for the team, and Z is a team guy. Get over the pity party. I'm sure he's fine with it.

Excellent move for this year...JAMISON CAN SCORE THE BALL...He is a guy that will look for his shot when things get tight and everyone looks for LEBRON...I love HICKSON down in the paint game...him and jamison will really attack the boards at times. That you gotta love. Thats the good news about the trade....THE BAD news is Jamison is 33. Now Lebron will have to consider this and the fact that Shaq is also a NBA vet. Does he wanna sign a long term deal?

For you morons who keep talking about Z and how unfair this is, it's a cap move. He'll be back in a month. If we didn't make this trade we'd have little space for James to re-sign. This is a brilliant trade. PLUS, Powe now will get to knock off the rust during this month in Z's absence.

I'm not real sure how this all fits together and I'm worried about Telfair. I'd dump him or send him to the d-league ASAP. Starbury's cousin is cut from the same cloth - that's why he's been on so many teams already.

The Accuser, we got JJ at #19 I think and thats about 10-11 spots higher then we'll be picking in the next draft. The pick is worthless

  • The Accuser - 14 years ago

Dennis, we got JJ @ #17.

  • bigpapac - 14 years ago

Please stop the pity party for Z. He's made in excess of $125 mil with the Cavs. Now gets this seasons full salary bought out $11.5 mil, $600k for being traded and will get another $2mil to re-sign and make a run at the title.

Root for the name on the front of the uniform. Go Cavs!

Whoever is complaining about this trade is not understanding the importance of the trade. Z will be back in 30 days guaranteed. He will make his money and be back here in time for the end of the season and of course our championship run. THe 1st round pick is worthless, because of where the cavs will pick at. Do u remember or know any player that was selected at the end of the 1st round to make a measurable impact? And, of course, we got Jamison. We gave up nothing....and we got a hungry veteran who will give us 20 points and 8 rebounds per game. A legit player who demands respect. Congrats Cavs! U did it again!

We just jacked Washington with Arenas's Gat!

  • Mark M. - 14 years ago

This is the best deal the Cavs could have gotten. A great forward with some shooting ability, we keep JJ & Z will be back in 30 days.

    Beautiful Danny Boy!

How could anyone in their right mind not like this trade. Gilbert has shown "it's all about winning not about cost savings". Relax to those that love the Z. He'll be back sooner than you think.

  • indianacavsfan - 14 years ago

This is a good trade, we get 2 decent players...now, lets get Z back in 30 days or this summer...and I think that, regardless if he comes back, the org. should give him a ring if we go all the way! Plus, someday, his number goes to the rafters..

  • Zfan - 14 years ago

If Z doesn't come back it will be a bitter sweet championship

  • i love z - 14 years ago

This is fucking bullshit. Z has been on the team since the beginning and Cleveland Cavailers stabbed him in the back, if anyone on the cavs deserves to win a championship it would be Z. To lebron: how could you let z go, when he supported you the most. this is fucking retarded and a terrible trade.

  • jmanz - 14 years ago

Oy...Another #1 deal the cavs couldn't pull off. Face it, nobody good wants to come to the armpit of the north. Bye bye lebron...

  • 1Sondra - 14 years ago

This STINKS! Z was loyal to us here in Ohio and they repay him by stabbing him in the back. Loyalty counts for nothing. We would have won the Championship this year. We had all the pieces already. Makes me sick! I remember Washingtons nasty attitude towards LeBron, So l don't want a Wizard here. I want my Z back!!

  • johnny grooms - 14 years ago

I guess maybe I am being a litttle sentamental but Z has been here since day one. and now here we are with a serious chance to take the crown and you trade Z. We needed a piece and Shak was it. We have jamario moon, anthony parker, mo,delante and the rest of the team. please don't hurt the chemistry!

  • fb4life0440 - 14 years ago

they are goin to buy out z's contract to get under the luxury tax. he should be able to sign in 30 days

  • Jeannette - 14 years ago

I think Z deserved a chance at the title more than anyone!!! This is really unfair to him...I think.
