It was a nice website when there was only ever 400 or so people online. It was nice to have intellectual conversations with random people about music. Ex. I met a girl from Wales, we talked a bunch and now we send cd's of different bands we like back and forth to each other.

But now with over 30,000 people on at any given time all of that has gone away. It has gone from being a chat site to being a "look at my penis" and "show me your boobs" site. Chatroulette.com seems to have tried to take a step towards fixing this by putting guidelines before you start and making the report button bigger but it hasn't helped. Give it time and the chat roulette fad will be gone.
A friend suggested I try it because he had seen some funny stuff on there. I gave it a go, but couldn't deal with the fact that my stupid face would be appearing on someone else's screen. It's weirdly exciting, but a little bit frightening at the same time.
