@Jon, that proves nothing of the sort. Biden is the wrong guy to put up against anyone in a debate. The man is a total idiot! Look what he said about Senator Brown on CBS. What a fool! I cannot believe that man is our VP. Evan Bayh would have been a much wiser choice. Maybe we would be getting things accomplished instead of treading water.

Joe Biden takes both sides of every issue as it suites him. He now want to take credit for Iraq and the war he said we lost. He is carrying Obama's water on this issue and was "sent out" to be a talking head. Cheney truly understands and cares about security while Obama is the least experienced and ineffective President of the past Century ... even beats Carter which sure isn't easy!!

This Presidential term cannot be over soon enough 34 months to go!!

Intelligent discourse is not served by calling names. Biden is not an idiot and Cheney is not Darth Vader.

What is true is that policy differences have consequences. The decision to support or oppose the surge in Iraq can be used as a yardstick to measure one's wisdom and judgement.

Clearly the right decision was to support the surge which has had a beneficial impact on Iraq and the speed with which America can withdraw with both honor and the assurance it will not have to return.

Biden and Obama opposed it calling it folly and predicting its failure. They were clearly wrong.

Bush and Cheney supported it. They took a calculated risk based upon their reasoned judgement. Their judgement turned out to be correct.

The dissembling manner in which Biden attempted to take credit for a policy decision which he and Obama opposed is a frightful breach of fundamental integrity and honesty.

Good judgement, integrity --- favor Cheney.

Bad judgement, horrific breach of integrity --- shame on Biden.

In the end, all I ask for is "adult" leadership.

When I watch and listen to Cheney --- with whom I do not agree about everything --- I see an adult.

When I watch and listen to Biden --- with whom I do agree with about some things --- I see a poseur, a fakir and a naif.

Today more than ever, America needs adult, experienced, principled leadership and we are not getting that from Obama/Biden.

"Yes - we right wing folks want to go back to the days which damaged our international credibility, tanked our stock market, created record unemployment... but yes, we love Cheney - and we will get onto every news website and vote on every poll hoping to change public perception" ...

What a sad bunch of misinformed folks that voted for Cheney. 99% of the "Cheney won" camp probably did not even see interviews - its a sad day, when people want to believe what they want

Wake up America - search for facts, not opinions that make you feel good

Wow, I guess this confirms Politico is a right wing site for me. It couldn't have been more clear that Biden was calling Cheney out for either his lies or his lack of information. Either way, even if Cheney didn't have all the information he shouldn't be making assumptions or claims based on lack of information. It's sad so many people think Cheney won or proved anything here.
