What’s your favorite unintentionally descriptive Wisconsin town name? (Bonus fact: there are at least two Wis. versions of each of these towns!)

Knapp. It’s a sleepy little bedroom community all the local kids dream of leaving someday. Apparently “Snoozeville” was already taken.

Eau Galle. We’re not saying you actually pronounce this town’s name “Oh Golly!” but why the hell would you say it any other way?

Hull. We doubt this town was named after the gum-torturing part of popcorn kernels, and anyone who says differently can go to Hull.

Webster. Yes, everyone loved the sassy little star of the hit ’80s TV show, but come on. You don’t see any Urkel, Minnesotas, do you?

Dewey. For years, the Dewey Tourism Bureau has grappled with spinning the “World Slip-n-Slide Capitol’s” unfortunate ground moisture problem.
