Would lowering the speed limit on Toronto streets save pedestrian lives?

There is no need to poll a fact, numerous studies have shown a pedestrian survivability of just 20% at 50km/h. A drop to 30km/h sends pedestrian survivability up to 80%. Time to get our priorities straight, hand over some lanes to the bikes, outlaw rights on reds, bring on the congestion charge, tax parking, and fund transit infrastructure. None of this is news to any proper city anywhere else in the world. GET WITH THE TIMES TO!
