...this is how i come to my conclusion as to who's the greatest jockey of all-time:The toughest meet Saratoga where the best:trainers', jockeys'&horses'...come to do battle...Mr. Ray kerrison said, "Ate them all for breakfast" referring to Mr. Angel Cordero. He won the prestigious riding title 11xs in a row and lost his 12th consecutive title by a nose to Jose santos on the last day of racing @ the Spa. Then came back and won 2xs more for a total of 13xs. It's no secret that everybody wanted to stop Cordero's streak, yet couldn't. This is why to me-Angel Cordero is without question, the greratest jockey to ever lace on boots!!!

Well if we could remove all the drug and alcohol suspensions, I would say Patrick A. Valenzuela. Angel Cordero and Laffit Pincay themselves will tell you that PVal is probably the most prolific rider that they have ever witnessed. I would also add Earl Sande and Jonny Longden to the list. Lastly, lets not for get Ismael "Milo" Valenzuela, 2 near misses for eclipsing the Triple Crown. Did Mr. Balaski ever win or get close to winning a Triple Crown? I understand he won 4 Derbys which is most impressive but I didn't see anything close for a Triple Crown. The Great Earl Sande won a Triple crown and was Jockey of the year several years in a row.

Both Lester Balaski and George Woolf should be added to this list. They were 2 of the best jockeys ever.
