Please don't lump medicare & medicaid together. One is a senior citizen (65plus) health insurance program & the medicare advantage part is just like any private health insurance program. Medicaid is a program that provides health care for low income earners & is not a insurance program.

The idea of reforming healthcare was good with things like keeping Ins co's from denying claims based on pre-existing conditions, and not medically necessary as excuses, and allowing people to buy health ins across state lines. However, government run healthcare is unconstitutional and forcing people to take it or imposing a fine on them if they don't is not right. Back room deals, bribery of Senators to get their votes, and trying to hide the facts of what's in the bill by making it so entirely too long are tactics the Obama admin uses to force this bill through. The bill was nothing but a power grab and an attempt to get money from the American people. They wanted us to start paying for it for years before it even went into effect!!! The Obama admin is radical/ Progressives as Glenn Beck says and they need to be put out of office. We need to elect people who will work for us and protect our liberties and abide by the constitution. People who will stand on principles, and not be bribed into doing things. We don't need big government who wants to tax and spend us into bankruptcy but that's already too late. We need people in Washington who will lead by example and say what they mean and mean what they say. Our borders need to be protected, and we need to try to enforce the laws and send illegal aliens packing and not offer them free healthcare on behalf of the American taxpayers. We need to bring back jobs into this country and if we got rid of the jobs sent to foreign countries and brought them back to America and got rid of the illegal aliens we could find hundreds of jobs. We need to drill for oil in our country and try to stop getting it from the other countries that hate us and pay them for it. We need people who will say no to gay marriage and make abortion illegal unless the mother's life is in danger, and promote abstinence in our young people by not showing so much sexual promiscuity on tv. Scrap the whole plan and pass reform incrementally. Do the things first that don't cost taxpayer money. Do tort reform, then allow selling of insurance across state lines then solve the precondition problem. Finally health savings accounts to put the consumer riding herd on costs. Third party payers cause cost bloat. Finally, better manage Medicare and Medicad to lower cost and improve service.

Forget health care reform. Health care is flawed. Fix the problems. How about stopping all the government waste and fraud in Medicare and Medicaid. Health care is NOT a right. And since most people seem happy with theirs, leave them alone!
