I have a tv in a closet that hasn't been even plugged in for 5 years. I just can't find someplace to recycle the damn thing. I read, I get my news from the internet...places like Alternet, Grist, NOT MSNBC!! Don't do music downloads or any other 'entertainment' junk online tho. Once in a while my friends will send me a cool utube to watch...usually about animals. Major media is owned by 3-4 people, there is no true news reporting any more and I think that all of the real journalists have left for another planet..they sure as heck aren't anywhere around the US.

Technically, we have a TV. But we only use it as a monitor, hooked up to our PC (for Hulu and network website viewing) and our Blue Ray player (Blockbuster subscription...like everybody else, thinking about switching to Netflix). I also have a laptop I also watch Hulu and iTunes purchases on while on the treadmill. Actually watch more content this way than when we had TV but no cable and the one year we did have cable. Not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing...at least we're watching on our own terms.

We have a tv with no cable, which means we get no channels. In other words, we have the box, but not television. Just use it for watching movies; other entertainment comes from the internet.
I agree... survey questions are not the greatest.

Those are not good choices. We have a tv with cable, but not 500 channels.

I was happy with no tv for 8 years. My partner might start to twitch if he didn't get to watch every single day... it's a point of tension for us.
:(
