@Sc: 3Gs the perfect mobile? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease

No multitasking, no personalisation, you still HAVE to use itunes, no fully integrated cloud synchronisation, slower hardware than the N1, shitter+smaller screen than the N1, Apple tell you what you can and cant have on your phone, it costs more, the 3gs has a shitter camera and.. now for the biggy....

    NO FLASH SUPPORT! EVER!!! LOLOLOL!!!

ok - yes i know HTML5 is coming and so are all those sexy web standards but flash on mobile phones isnt about the web.... its about what flash is going to do for apps: gaming on phones will be smoother, better, faster, integrated set of standard tools for developers mean more, better apps (not just the 10,000 "hilarious" iShatMyPants fart apps you get in the apple store).

Oh and google apps are native to the N1. How many tiems do you use one google app or another? per day? Why wouldnt you want that fully integrated into your phone? Why do you choose to have to boot up your computer, start up the bloated fat monstrosity that is itunes, plug in your phone, sync your phone, follow apples rules, uplug it and turn it all off again before convincing yourself that syncing your iphone is the easiest thing thing in the world?

Why doesnt your glorious *COUGH COUGH shite COUGH* iphone sync on the go? Dont you see? Cloud computing is the next revolution in pc tech! And youre gonna be standing there clutching your cables crying like a bitch over your crap iphone.

Believe me, the apple iphone honeymoon is over....the big green robot is here.

You must be having a laugh the 3gs is the closest you can get to the perfect mobile and the nexus one's failures are the stuff of legend.trott along fanboys.

  • Tarus - 14 years ago

C'mon. We know the poll is not valid. You would be a fool to put any stock in the validity of this poll. I do know one thing though, if the results were reversed, the "fanboys" wouldn't be so harsh on the poll results. I own a 3GS by the way.

Vodafone sold 50 000 iphones in one day in UK in January 2010
Google sold 20 000 nexus one in one week in January 2010

Android has way better specs...but so did the N95 when the first iPhone was out.
Some geeks just don't get Apple.

Aw, c'mon guys. You are surely not telling us this web poll is a randomly sampled, statistically valid survey. If not, you have no way of knowing how accurate the results are; you might as well just make them up. Why would any site that pretends to serious analysis peddle this kind of garbage. The least you could do is post a disclaimer explaining the methodology and its validity (or lack thereof).

  • Geny - 14 years ago

What is the methodology used? Do you find voters who have both devices and ask them to compare the two and vote for the device they like? If not, then the result is flawed. If there were more Nexus users who responded than there were iPhone users, then you get the result you got. If, on the other hand, the reverse were true, then you will get an opposite result. But what does that prove, other than the users of the winning device are more enthusiastic in responding to your "survey" than the users of the other device. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think that it's fantastic the there is some competition in the phone industry. I am sure there will be a lot of leapfrogging of specs with all the manufacturers coming over the next bunch of years.

  • kevin kavs - 14 years ago

i think the nexus one will win because people like to evolve (people like the new thing that has Quite attractive new features). if i phone unleashes a new phone with more attractive features, well i guess they surely would have planted their flag on the phone industry.

I wonder how long it will be before Nexus handsets get thrown at the wall by users frustrated with apps competing for system resources ... Apple made sure that wont happen with iPhone ...

  • Diaztradeinc - 14 years ago

I bet if i phone was ahead no one would be saying anything about the poll results, nexus one and thats it lol..

Looks like this poll got posted up at some Android fan site or something because Nexus One votes have suddenly taken a jump.

@WootRoot Nexus One is a cool device with not too hefty a price tag, which is good. Android's specs are better but iPhone's UI and usability stand out from a consumer point of view.

If one hasn't already got an iPhone 3GS, this probably is not the time to buy one. Let us enjoy Nexus One for the moment.

  • Diaztradeinc - 14 years ago

I used to think phones were compared by specs and user interface, Nexus wins at both perspectives, also the android OS is not limited to just one UI, the open source of android means it can be customized to a users likings. For instance android has the Sense UI, Rachael UI, the Blur UI, and the new 2.1 UI "NEXUS". Android is freedom of choice which Apple has that same old UI which actually is a bit boring now. Specs plus freedom, plus an appealing UI equals win to me.

Faisal the Moto Star Tac was a revolutionary device too... look where that ended up...

iPhones a fad, all fads come and go.

  • Jim - 14 years ago

Ironically, the votes are are almost tied proving the other 10% right!

  • Faisal Khan - 14 years ago

Apple iPhone was a revolutionary device. Nexus One on the other hand is another Android device. I don't think Nexus One can be expected to beat iPhone 3GS anytime soon.

  • Ryan - 14 years ago

if the Android bet the iPhone. why not match the Nexus with the Android? Or is it that even though the Android won it isn't getting the following that iPhone has, and people still want to take the iPhone out?
