Reid: Is there a double standard on racial comments, one for D's, one for R's?

If every Congressperson who make an unhelpful remark resigned, we could start over, elect citizens who serve the people instead of the special interests. We should be focusing on health care, jobs and reform of the financial system as well as disentangling ourselves from conflicts we have no control over. And how about making borders safer, policing ports and educating our kids? Nan

I am a Republican. I don't think Harry Reid should step down over this. While the remarks might be considered insensitive by some, they are by no means racist. I think maybe we should all be a little less sensitive and stop looking to be offended constantly.

However, I think we all know what would happen if a Republican had said this. We would be subjected to unjust charges of racism. But that is how the Left does its business.

This is not an issue of whether a Democrat or a Republican made such a statement.
This is an issue of white males and how they think.
