    CAtoWA,

I think that information is becoming out of date.

I like most people are lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy and I thinks it's outragious that we have to pay extra for something that won't harm our body where we could pay 50 cents less and end up breaking out or other issues. I think soy milk should be the same price.

Soy is not humane to breast cancer survivors like me. We are supposed to avoid it to prevent the return of our cancers.

Due to the increased demand the mangroves of SE Asia are being deforested for soybean farms, so what's your point?

Dairy comes at a cost - to the animals, to the environment and to the health of those who consume it. Cow's milk contains casein protein which has been implicated in the development of autism and cancer. Factory farming has been implicated in a number of social and environmental problems, from the loss of family-owned farms as mega-dairies consolidate, to pollution, human rights violations (particularly of workers in the meat processing industry, with which the dairy industry has a symbiotic relationship - remember that veal is a by-product of the dairy industry; many cheeses contain animal rennet from slaughtered calves, lambs or kids; and dairy cows end up as hamburger when their productive days are over) and - of course - horrific animal abuses.

These are just the tip of the iceberg but I won't rant - I just want to point out that dairy has a higher overall cost (the financial cost is kept artificially low through government subsidies) and therefore I believe it's what should be surcharged rather than the more humane, healthy and eco-friendly options of soy, rice or hemp milks.

Why the heck are they charging for condiments anyway? Like a coffee really cost $3.00 per cup.
    PLEASE
