Fl. 253: Did 'the system' work?

It has been, in the words of Queen Elizabeth II, an “annus horribilis” for DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. Beginning with her embrace of the impotent euphemism “man-caused disasters” to the hit job on conservatives and veterans that she was forced to apologize for, to her assertion that crossing the border illegally “isn’t a crime per se”, to her boneheaded claim that 9/11
terrorists came in through the Canadian border, Ja-No has confirmed time and again that she’s not ready for prime time. Let's face it, she’s as effective as HS Sect as she was as Gov at stopping the invasion in her home state. Perhaps another 6 month study by a blue ribbon panel is what’s needed here (just kidding). If these dopes were in charge in 1941 we’d all be speaking
german and japanese. To be fair, does the White House know we are at war yet? Come to think about it, maybe they don't? Why would I say that? Because the first thing the Administration did was get this psyco a lawyer! Then there was the news that the terrorist may need plastic surgury!
Arizona’s gain was the U.S.A.’s loss! What a clueless clown. So let me see if I got this right. You don’t know what happened, or how it happened but you are sure that we are all safe until we point out you don’t know but you say the system worked but the system had nothing to do with a failed explosion (other than security measures make it tough to get a working bomb on
board). When we point out the system did not work, then you agree to that. So we are left with a failed system run by you but you tell us we are safe but you don’t really know anything?
I guess her next comment will be "It depends on your definition of “the”.
First there was Van Jones, now Janet. Another one bites the dust! Ja-No has got to go.

The arrogance of this administration is once again on full display. If this is how the "system" works, how on earth are we going to save ourselves from Obamacare? Only a fool would believe Napalitano when she bald-facedly tries to reasure us mere peasants that everything is working as it should! Meanwhile, Obama is showing us all how not to produce CO2 by flying Air Force One on his Chinese-funded little jaunts around the world, doing the only thing he can do: Read from a teleprompter.

This entire administration is in WAY OVER THEIR HEADS! We need to get them all out. Perhaps there is still time to restore sanity.

I believe that the voters that elected this administration (I'm aware that only the President and Vice President were elected but their appointees are part of the package) aren't paying much attention to what is going on because their vote was based on one issue only; the election of a black man to the presidency. His political agenda which is not a black political agenda but an agenda of the political left that has little to do with minority politics. This administration is full of political hacks that are in their positions as payback for their support regardless of their qualifications to do the jobs. I believe that Napolitano's " I believe that the system worked" comment was not a slip of the tongue or taken out of context. This was her response as she intended it to be because the administration's arrogance is prevalent throughout it members. We are not as smart as they are so we should not question them. Well, this is going to wear out soon and many will realize the mistake they made. I've already met a few.

For those of you that think the government will take care of you, whether it's health care, retirement or any of the many government programs that we have, this is a good lesson. It wasn't the government that acted efficiently in this matter, it was the passengers on the jet that were aware and took action.

Sarah Brown said almost all there is to say...Except this administration has handled this situation like every other that are not President Obama's legislative issues. THEY STICK THEIR HEAD IN THE SAND AND PRETEND THAT IT DID NOT HAPPEN. This is REAL LEADERSHIP, I am so proud of our voters. As in BIBLICAL times we are getting excatly what we deserve.

I was never more shocked and dismayed to hear a cabinet member, especially a homeland security secretary, speak in such an inept manner and think Candy Crowley did an amazing job on the show. If Janet Napolitano is the face of Homeland Security in the USA then you in the USA and we in the rest of the world better be afraid. I almost fell off my chair when she said the system worked. What system was she talking about? The system of a fearless and heroic passenger, crew members and other passengers? Yes, that system did work but the system of detecting and preventing such acts definitely did not work and Janet Napolitano appears to be way over her head in this job.
