I agree with the master Flogger. The voice of the writer is impelling but there were a few mistakes that were hard to get past. The blood on the boot distracted me and then I wondered if a writer makes such a mistake in the beginning would he do the same and more as the story progressed. The simple answer is, yes, he most likely would. Then he’d lose credibility with the reader. That’s why it’s a must to have at least one good friend who will read your draft and point out these mistakes. Again rewrite, rewrite, until your words make you want to puke! Then maybe just maybe it’s ready for professional editing.
