I've been using WinPatrol for a while now and i love it. Easy to delay/remove/add startup processes, with window prompts that pop up whenever a program tries to add itself to the startup list, or alter its existing startup routine. Easy to use, and extremely convenient.

For example, what I want is an immediate notice whenever a program adds itself to the startup list.

Besides Anvir, is there any good app which can do that?

    Startup delayer is FOURTH? Wow.

It's free, small and has a really great unique feature (DELAYING startup). What more do you want, really?

The program I've been using is called "Starter" from CodeStuff. It's freeware.

It has all the startup launch programs but it also shows you the processes and services running via tabbed interface. Simple to use at a great price!

I liked Startup delayer on Vista but my Win 7 64bit will not install it properly

Startup Delayer's ability to delay starting applications is a winner for me. Not only does it delay applications, it also allows you to cancel launching them. Sometimes I quickly want to check my e-mails, without starting Live Messenger and Skype and the other apps, so I just click "Skip" for each app.
